I love my new camera. The pictures are beautiful, and the camera is fast. I also purchased the transcend 32 GB class 10 SDHC memory card. This makes a big difference in speed.

Twice I have tried Nikon's point an shoot cameras. Each time I have used them, I have been disappointed and have taken them back.There is such a lag with the shutter speed that it is almost embarrassing that Nikon would have let this camerago out on the Market. I have even replaced the cheap memory cards it comes with to see if this might be causing some of the lag -and there are still issues. The camera has similar features to all other cameras on the market today. I have both Cannon and Olympus, one point and shoot and the other DSLR camera that I have been pleased with - I am not sure why I continue to try to give Nikon a chance. I would not recommend this product.

It is easy to cary, pretty color and does very nice for poses. Not so good for fast speed shots for my daughter cheerleading thou but over all we truly like it

My daughter got this camera for Christmas and it has been great so far. It takes beautiful pictures and has so many features for her to mess around with. It's basic enough for the average picture taker. My only complaint is that it doesn't always focus as easily as some other cameras but otherwise it has been great!

I bought this for my 13 year old. I was worried she would have a hard time with it, but she has caught on quite fast and knows how to use it better than me. I would certainly buy this camera again as the pictures are beautiful!

The quality of the photos is very good. There is a good range of resolutions to choose from. The telephoto/wide angle feature is very good with no distortion. The photos are very sharp and clear. It's also easy to operate. My only concern is the physical size and shape of the camera, which makes it a little difficult to hang on to sometimes. I've nearly dropped it on several occasions. But once you get used to the shape, it's a great little camera

It's a great camera and it gives great results even if you are not an experienced photographer. The only reason i did not give it a 5-star rating is that the shutter response is a little too slow, the button does not have good sensitivity, and the absence of a remote compromises the steadiness of the shot in low-light conditions or night shots

This camera is a step higher from what I am used to. The high MP pictures ignores any low light. In fact, I protect it so much that I only take it out when I want to take a special shot, such I wouldn't like to lose. The only shortcoming is the use of Ni-MH or alkaline batteries. I wish there's a way to modify it to accommodate Li-ion. For the price, it's a great buy. I recommend it for great memories. every print out of the pics look professional. A friend of mine has just gone for one.

First digital camera. So far the functions are easy for me to understand. Great pictures. And video even in unlit rooms is beyond what I expected. Perfect 1st camera to learn basics on, and enough advanced functions for further "testing and playing". Very satisfied at this point.

This camera take excellent pictures but the battery drains to quick, will replace them with rechargebles, the 30x zoom does require a steady hand.

So far, I absolutely LOVE this camera!! Have been looking for a camera/video camera for some time now and this one did NOT disappoint! Easy to learn to use and control. Love the BEAUTIFUL shots it takes! Fits on a tripod easily or around your neck! Shoots well in the dark too! Video camera is great! Good quality...1080p HD!!! LOVE IT!!!! Easy to Recommend!!!

The differences between this Nikon and my older camera is tremendous!!!. Lots of functions and effects, excellent images quality and resolution. All of it with a good price and under the name NIKON!!!. I highly recommend this model.

I love this camera. I wanted a point and shoot camera that had a good zoom and this is the one. I took an amazing picture of the moon last night. It is easy to use. The pictures I have taken have great clarity and color. I am still working on getting the macro shots to have fine detail. I bought this after trying out my friends L820. I own several different brands of point and shoot cameras and a DSLR. This is a wonderful no fuss camera.

This camera was a little challenging to figure out, but probably more so because I don't read manuals...lol I am used to just playing with things until I figure them out and found this one to be a little more challenging than most to do that, but the pictures and videos are amazing!!! :)

I love my new camera. I love that I can take pics inside without a flash. Takes excellent pics and pretty good videos. I wouldn't use it as my main camcorder but it is great for catching all those fun moments.

i was with my family on vacations. The landscape photos are awesome. The use of the camera is very easy, the different scenes are useful and work fine. The panoramic scene takes great photos. I am not the best photographer so the camera helps me a lot.

I am by no means a photographer but am thrilled with this gem. The price amazon had this for saved me 100$ from the brick and mortar store price. Love the zoom, love the HD video ( even though the sound sucks on the video the picture quality is amazing ), love the simplicity. I am very pleased with the picture quality and the ease of use of this camera. Would highly recommend this to someone who wants a decent camera on a budget.

I can only echo the positive reviews. This camera is great and I have had no issues after week of use. The zoom is awesome and the photo's are clear and sharp. I have only used about 10% of the features and none of them have let me down as far as picture quality is concerned.The LCD screen is very sharp and makes viewing photo's easy. It would have been nice to get an HDMI cable instead of the RCA cable... but that's a $5 item.Great camera... would buy another one if this one broke.

My previous Kodak long focus point-and-shoot served me well. My friends chided me for my cheap Kodak camera. I selected this NIKON as a gift from my wife.It does provide better image quality and longer zoom range. But, really, it is marginally so.Every camera has its own pluses and minuses. This one has one chamber for the batteries and the memory card. You dump the batteries every time you open it to access the memory card.

My 15 yr old only asked for a camera for Christmas with a good zoom lens and this was the best Nikon I could afford. She is still quite happy with it. To save $$ I bought a refurbished model with some concern but it's as good as new from what I can tell.

I got this as a Christmas present from my parents (2013) and it always was very slow to take a decent picture and by July it didn't work at all. I ordered from Amazon and contacted them and the company from which it was shipped. The company only gave a 30 day warranty and I never heard back from Amazon. I used my sister-in-laws very same camera and it work like a dream. I apparently received a "dude". Very disappointed in both companies for not going good on it.

I received this order today. I hate to rate this item one star because no stars is not an option. Before I opened the package I noticed that there was no seal on the box. I then opened the box and saw there was not protective covering on the LCD screen and it was covered with fingerprints. This was obviously a returned item that was repackaged and sent to me. This camera was advertised as new and not reconditioned or repackaged. This is now the second item in a row that I received that was repackaged. I can't trust anything that Amazon ships anymore and will not being doing business with them any longer.I'm getting tired of my trips to ups to return their items.

This is a great camera! I am not a camera buff by any means, although I have fooled around with DSLRs and was considering one in the future... However, this camera fits the bill since I starting to realize that I don't have the time or the motivation to go that much deeper into the science of photography. This camera goes above and beyond what one would expect for the price. I'm really really pleased, and having a great time experimenting with it. Can't go wrong if you want a little more than a traditional, tiny, point and shoot...

i had a basic ole $90 Kodak camera from walmart for years. it was getting to the end of its life and I was looking for a better camera with better zoom. the Kodak only had 5x optical zoom. this Nikon has 30x optical zoom! it is an amazing camera and is super user friendly. it has an easy mode to where you just point and shoot and the camera does the rest. all you have to do is zoom in to what you are wanting to take a picture of. the camera takes care of flash, color, blurriness, etc. this camera is great for sports and movement. I actually have taken to a NASCAR event and the pictures turned out awesome even at speeds over 100mph. this is by far the best camera for the money you put in it. highly recommended.

For $200 you just can't beat this camera. It has many nice features and the lens seems to be above average at the very least. 30 times optical zoom is just great! I recommend this camera to anyone looking for something more than a point and shoot but are on a budget.

This makes great images for a point and shoot camera, with great colors and details. Also, the time between two images is very short and the menu is very prompt. The only thing I don't like is the design - while it is relatively functional, it is not the most aesthetically pleasing. For the money I'd expect a little better (and the images here are not showing it from all angles). Also I don't like the fact that I need to deal with charging batteries again (I liked the built-in one on my old camera). Anyway, this all is not enough to take off a star--this camera DOES take amazing pictures.

This camera takes amazing pictures when you know how to use a camera! Great vacation camera with high quality pictures. The camera soaks up battery life since it uses AA Batteries. Highly Recommend Rechargeable AA Batteries - MADE A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE.

This camera does more than thought a camera could. Bought it for my daughter for Christmas and she loves it. You can take pictures in 3D and you can get pictures of snow coming down.

I knew to not waste my money on digital zoom and this bad boy will get you close. The image quality is outstanding even in low light for a point and shoot. The video is very good in my opinion. My only complaint is it does not shoot in RAW format. For it's price range you can't beat it.

I love this camera and with AA batteries there are always replacements close at hand, well usually. The SD card is in the same compartment as the batteries and that compartment cover is a bit awkward to open and close so use the USB cabe to down load. Focus at extreme telephoto can be an issue but try landscape setting in the menu for distant images or portrait if closer, eg ten feet. Also to be kept in mind is that the zoom function zooms 30X of lens function then another 4X of image area, and resolution, reduction. Auto Focus in the latter can be less effective.
