Gonna keep this short and sweet. The Logitech Z623 ROCKS!!! I LOVE BASS!! This does not disappoint. Very good full spectrum sound also. You can crank it so your neighbors can hear it or turn down the bass and listen without disturbing anyone, both with excellent sound reproduction.Some people say it lacks highs, however, I'm hearing highs from this system that I have not heard before in songs that I've played hundreds of times (even with high quality headphones on). I'm hearing small details of songs that I have not heard before. The vocals sound like they are singing right here in my office. And the Bass (all 130 watts)...WOW!! The Logitech Z623 is the best BANG for the buck for a 2.1 computer sound system that I've heard.If you love music, you will love this system!!

I shopped around for PC speakers for quite a while, and finally settled these from Logitech. They dropped in price by 20% on amazon, so I couldn't resist.I'm pretty picky about audio, and I have absolutely not complaints about them. Good clarity, plenty of volume, good amount of bass. Build quality also very good. They will play louder than I would be allowed to play them in my house!If you are on the fence, they are the best value in the $50-200 price range.

I had the Logitech Z202's for years and always loved them. As in all things eventually they pooped out and I bought these on Amazon for $99(Worth every penny even if I had paid retail.) The speakers themselves are designed very well and look great on the desk. The sub woofer is larger than the 202 woofer but still fits nicely under the desk. All the speakers have a nice heft to them which doesn't necessarily mean quality but feels nice in the hand. Onto the sound. One word, immense. It seriously fills the room with rich sound on all sorts of music types. I listen to everything and none of it has sounded less than amazing through these speakers. The bass control on the desk speakers is nice. before I had to go under the desk to change it. The bass itself is deep and resonating. It will definitely shake the room if that what you want. If not turn the bass down to an acceptable level. I could go on and on about the quality of this product but I wont. Im sure you have things to do, like buying these speakers.Amazing product, amazing sound, great deal for $99.You wont regret the purchase.

The speakers would just shut off randomly every hour or so for a solid 10 minutes. Couldn't figure out why, volume was set at 30-40% or so and the bass at 25%. Google for problems surrounding them shutting off periodically for more info. Returned these and went for something better.As for the sound, these are very bass heavy and the sound isn't well defined. If you prefer a bass heavy sound these are a great deal for the price if there weren't widespread issues with the built in amp.

I am very happy with my purchase, the truth is that I've been using for a long time and these horns Logitech products I was not disappointed, great sound, the size of the horns is medium and fits on my desk the subwoofer was not problem. The truth is that I was impressed by the clarity and high fidelity sound, the computer does not distort maximum volume and maintains its sharpness, great power, great value - Price.Do not be disappointed!

This speaker set sounds very good, The sub is durable enough to keep under my desk where it gets kicked around a little. The metal grate on the front is beefy enough to take it so far. The speakers are definitely loud enough and sound very nice. I like having the aux input right on the R speaker. I play tunes through the Aux input while I'm editing and they can play the sound from the computer as well as the music at the same time, it not just one or the other. I'm very happy with this purchase.

These speakers have a great sound with a great bass boost. My husband initially ordered them for his computer for gaming, but found out they didn't support the microphone on his headphones. These speakers are non returnable, which we didn't see before ordering and which is the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars, so I'm using them on my indoor XM radio receiver and the sound is amazing.

I have three of these now: one for my computer in the office, one for my bedroom (have my MP3 player driving it for music in the a.m. or the end of the day), and one for my girl-friend. For the price, it delivers a warm, even sound. The base and treble are it's strongest points; mid-range can get lost. Locating it on the ground or in a corner helps. Very easy to set up and connect. I've even put it back in its box to take to the lake cabin. It's pretty portable.

I bought the Z623 speaker system for my house and loved them. Definitely too loud for my office, so i ended up buying Logitech S220 2.1 Speaker System for work.The Z623 offers so much bass that i don't think i'll ever need another speaker system until visual appeal and true surround sound become important.I'm not going to worry about getting an audiophile experience, because i'm mostly streaming music over the internet, and mostly streaming videos over the internet. Its a bit like asking for Michelin-star dining at a TGIF restaurant.I would definitely buy again or recommend to people. If you need a professional solution or more flexibility with wiring options, you should use a different product.

What can I say? They're typical high quality logitech speakers. Super loud with good bass, mids, and highs. Honestly, the only thing limiting these speakers is my POS audio card :P Consistently great amazon delivery, well packaged and protected from the elements. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a house-filling and cost-effective stereo system.

People kill me with these over expecting reviews being so critical of everything. This system for the price is very nice, fills my house nicely. you want blow your eardrum sound system for $100? Really? what sound system doesn't distort at higher volume? Great system, If you have reasonable expectations then this is the system for you, if you want a Bose go buy a Bose. That is all lol

Just hooked these speakers up and they really do sound good! These are replacements for a pair of Altec Lansing VS4121 speakers I have had for about 5 years, sadly I lost the right channel on those because I really liked them. But after reading reviews and feedback for the price I picked the Logitech Z623. Although the bass is very good I gave it four stars simply because I wish the control speaker had a treble control on it like my old VS4121. Probably not a problem if you know how to go into your programs equalizer and manually tune it. But the ease of use for a non tech person that just wants to plug in and listen may get overwhelmed by the bass to treble combination.

No cracking sound with the volume knob. What I mean by that is that the volume knob turns smoothly and silently.However, there's a buzz from the amplifier (when no sound is playing), starting at about position 6 onwards, if you imagine the volume knob from 0 to 10 (there are no markings).Since I rarely go over 5, and when I do it's playing something, that's not an issue for me.On that note, I'd say for an office environment, you'd not want to go above 2.For home, maybe 3 tops for routine work or 4 if you just want to enjoy some music (not working, as it's too distracting at that level).At 5 you start to annoy whoever else lives in the house.The Z-623 is marketed as the successor to the Z-2300. Many reviews have basically said that it falls short on being a replacement, let alone surpassing the venerable Z-2300. The best of such reviews is documented in Logitech's own forum.[see Link1 in my comment]I'd say it's an excellent value given that I only paid $105 (free shipping).Had to watch the price for 3 weeks. I see it's gone back to the regular price of $180. Just wait and maybe you can catch it at that reduced price again.Don't think it's worth more than what I paid, nor would I want to spend more on a 2.1 computer system. It's an overkill for a computer.For a home entertainment system, I don't think this Z-623 would be enough. You will want a 5.1 system, unless you live in a small apartment or with roommates.Check out [see Link2 in my comment] for other choices.BTW, in that article you'll find the frequency response for this system.I set the software equalizer to be the inverse of that frequency response so that the end result is a flat curve. It sounds great. I'm hearing sounds and notes that I didn't know existed in the songs I play on a daily basis in my car.The mids come through clean and crisp. The bass isn't overpowering.That setting is now my favorite, over all the pre-configured settings such as "classic". "pop", "jazz", etc.

The difference between these and my old speakers is huge. They are great, they have a good range of sound, and the bass on these babies is great! It will shake my desk and really turns my computer into a small party station. Great purchase, great product, as always from Logitech!

I tested out more than seven different sets of speakers within the $40-$80 and found all of them lacking in some way or another.I was looking for more power, presence, and precision. I wasn't finding it, so I decided to make a special exception for this set and go above my intended price range.The primary use for my set is as bedroom home theater speakers. My TV (also reviewed) has variable volume audio out, so I found using desktop speakers a much less bulky and expensive alternative to a $300+ 5.1 audio receiver system.I simply wasn't interested in the 3 extra speakers when I watch so little in the way of movies that support it.I wanted the high quality sound, but didn't want ALL that unnecessary equipment at the high cost.200 Watts RMS is more than enough wattage for it to sound and feel powerful, even from a TV distance.High watts really only governs maximum volume, which is plenty sufficient. What really matters is sound clarity and accuracy, and these speakers don't disappoint.In addition to the home theater, I also run HDMI from my notebook to the TV, into these speakers. They perform just as well in that regard too.They also have ports to directly receive audio from a TV(red/white RCA).You can even plug an MP3 player into the front of the speakers without unhooking the backside (TV) inputs; or attach headphones (mutes speaker output).I paid $150 at a big box store 40 miles away (The only one in the state) just in case I didn't like them.But I liked them so much, it wasn't worth returning them just to save $30 online.They are the best speakers I've ever owned and worth every penny, but below $120 they are a steal.As long as you have long enough cables they are capable under ANY speaker role

For starters these things are packaged really neatly and tight when unboxing. Setting them up takes just a few minutes, plug them in and prepare to be amazed. I read a but before purchasing them so I went enough and got them. I could not be more impressed with these speakers. They are branded THX for a reason.

Work great, a good quality speaker system. The first one I've gotten with a subwoofer that's worth a damn. If you're buying those 30-50 dollar speaker sets make sure a subwoofer is NOT included because they are never worth anything in that price range and you're better off focusing on quality speakers.This however, is a great all around set. The speakers are fantastic and the subwoofer is decent. My only regret is I can't always blast them loudly because my family complains. Haha, great purchase though!

The speakers are everything and then some. Great system with a powerful low end bass. Loud with no distortion. I have thrown every type of music at the babies.I can hear these speakers throughout the house no problem. Good enough for the wife to tell me to turn them down at 1/2 volume so she can hear the TV on the opposite end of the house - seriously.I waited until they were under $100.00 and then pounced on them like a mongoose on a cobra.I hate wasting my cash on junk. These are solid and not cheap in feel, operation or looks.Trust a brother....just buy it. You will not regret the purchase.

When choosing computer speakers, the Z-623 is often cited as a great option for the $100-$200 price range. There is also however, lots of debate regarding it's value compared to it's predecessor, the Z-2300. While a comparison is inevitable, it is wildly unfair and pointless to compare the two since the Z-2300 is DISCONTINUED. I am reviewing these speakers as a system, not as an upgrade or alternative to the Z-2300. There are extensive reviews out there that whine about the Z-623 and how Logitech cut corners with these speakers, so if you want to know more about that, go Google it.As for the Z-623 here are my thoughts:PROS:+ Excellent bass clarity and power.+ Side firing subwoofer (some people like downfiring, but I don't like having my house shake, which adds acoustic distortion).+ Very easy to set up; easy to control bass and volume controls on the right satellite speaker.+ Excellent for movies and games.CONS- Somewhat limited mid-range and upper high range frequency response. Some music sounds better than others.- No treble knob.- Plain aesthetics (I personally think they are fine, but some find these speakers to be bland looking).Overall, if you can get these at a discount (I bought them here for $104.99 during a Logitech sale), definitely consider it. Your next best option are the Klipsche ProMedia 2.1 system, which is almost twice the price, but considered to be a much better THX system. I highly recommend these for games and movies and most music.

Speaker system has a well rounded sound. Highs, mid-range, and bass are sharp, clear, and deep without distortion that is common in small-sized speakers. That 's the positive. The negatives are that the subwoofer is quite large for computer speaker system, and the nondetatcheable wires are short (between 5; to 6'). This could make setting up the system around your computer desk difficult. For me, I had re-arrange alot of my home-office to setup the speakers. Bear this in mind for your own workspace configuration. The system sounds great, especially for the price, but keep the caveats in mind for your own situation.

This awesome 2.1 Speaker system is "THX" Certified.. & Now I know what it really means.. this small unit does what it promises.. that too without compromising the quality of the sound/music output.Pros : 1. Brings life to the music. 2.Very easy to connect to the device ( I have replaced my laptop's vocal cords with Z623 ). 3. Its Loud but does not compromize on the Quality of the Output. 4. Size of the Whole unit is very handy. I couldn't believe that this was gonna produce 200W effective sound at pro level. 5. Absolutely recommend it for anyone looking for a high quality music/movie/sound time with limited budget.

I've realized i was spoiled. For at least 10 years I enjoyed a set of Klipsch Promedia v.2-400 4.1 speakers. At the time of purchase they were the most powerful set of multimedia speakers on the market. I loved those speakers and got every penny and then some out of them. When they finally started to act up it was time to shop for something new.As much as I wanted to drop $400-500 on the most powerful thing I could get, I knew I needed to be practical. The time spent at my computer with speakers blasting isn't as much as it used to be. I use headphones most of the time for gaming, don't listen to music as much at the PC and really don't need a 4.1 or 5.1 system anymore. Just something that sounded good and didn't take up as much space. It came down to the Z623's or the Klipsch Promedia 2.1's and I decided to try something new.The Z623 are a very nice set of speakers for the price. I like the way they look. I like the simple controls and the headphone and line-in right on the speaker. As far as sound, they sound better than most multimedia speakers. I have to keep my opinion in the constraints of a $100-150 set of speakers and realize i've got something very good, but just not great. Again, I was spoiled by the set of Promedia's I had, which in my opinion, sounded better.Honestly if I had to do it again, I'd get the Klipsch 2.1's. Not that I'm not happy with these, but after owning each, the Klipsch just sound better. Lesson learned. So why you ask do I still rate these a 4? Because you get a good set of speakers that do exactly the job you should expect. They delivered as promised and I think that's what matters.

The sound from these speakers is increadable. The sub woofer is large, approx 10" deep,12" wide and 11" tall.Easy to set up to my laptop. Quality of speaker build looks top notch. Only wish there was a seperate bass,tremble control.1 on-off button,1 volume and 1 bass all on the right speaker. All of this was clearly detailed in the spec on the Amazon site.Logitech done a nice job of packaging. Amazon also packaged Logitech`s box in another box and then in another box.Ordered product on Sunday and recieved on Wednesday with standard free shiping.For $99.99 you caint go worng. 2 year warrenty. 5 star all the way

I listen to Deadmau5, Macmiller, Lil wayne, Kid Cudi, Asheru and some classic stuff. Really any music that sounds good to me I will listen to. But those are the main ones.These speakers are great for anything I have come across so far the bass is amazing and the speakers sound pretty crisp and clear. For some things you might want to turn the base down so you can hear words more clearly but over all the bass does not overwhelm the sound.If I had to buy speakers again I would buy these again.
