Perfect for my office. Good clean sound, nice bass response. This is my third Logitech 2.1 system and to me, its the way to go if you want something small but powerful with full bass. Ideal for use with a computer or to connect my ipod in the office at work as I do. Sounds great at low levels and loud. The subwoofer is good for 7". Cannot quite handle really low frequencies but what can you expect for one 7" woofer. Well worth the $110 I spent here on Amazon.

200W of "room rattling" power is a total lie. This system is not loud at ALL. With volumes full up you can easily talk above the sound. I don't know how they measure the 200W but that number is a total lie.If I'd heard this in a store I would never have bought it.Returning it to Amazon but will have to pay shipping.Will never buy electronics from Amazon again unless I can hear it first.

If you're looking for a sound system that can rattle your windows and piss off your neighbors... Look no further. I bought this for my bday party in Feb and everyone was blown away. STRONG bass. Clear sound. Perfect for a TV or iPod. I couldn't be more pleased with the product.... Especially for the Amazon price.

Best speakers on the market for this price range period. These speakers have un-heard of sound quality. These make movies come to life, they handle any music with bold crisp sound from classical to hard hitting dub-step. I am constantly amazed. The only complaint (if one can have a complaint at this price range) is the only way to change the volume is on the right speaker (basically you can't be lazy).

I previously purchased the z523, but returned it due to a bad speaker. I spent an extra $50 to order the z623, and the sound produced from these speakers is noticeably better. Just looking at the speakers you can see that the drivers are much larger, and listening to them is a completely different experience than the z523. The subwoofer produces a deeper, louder bass, There is considerably more heft. If you are comparing the two sets, in my opinion the z623 is definitely worth the extra money.

I have been in audio (and now video) over four decades, and just to provide my bonafieds, Iwas a First Class Electrician, studied EE at Purdue, have designed many home theaters (myown latest which features a Stewart Firehawk 109 inche widescreen, seven channel surround, fedby six video sources and five audio sources), and am currently a video editor with some very complex and well operating cameras and with computer systems which I designed and installed.Of all the electronics or related components I've had over the years, this takes the cake for failure! After operating as advertised for two weeks, suddenly and inexplicably appeared a loudcrackling noise (no matter the volume setting) from both of the stereo speakers when ever anattempt was made to turn on the unit - and then NO sound was emitted from any of the speakers. A thorough check was made of all connections, including input and those within the sub/amplifier and the stereo units; no problem, except it doesn't work any more. I assume that it has a faulty on/off latch power switch, though that does not seem to account for the otherwise loss of transmitted sound signal. In any event, this is only the second electrical/electronic device I've had fail of literally hundreds that I have installed for others and myself. I am not about to take any more chances with the electrical integrity of this product.

These speakers are great! they are not the prettiest looking speakers, but the quality of the sound, even at high volumes, is great. The satellites and subwoofer are fairly big, so if you're tight on space try something else.I have this connected to a TV for movie watching and the sound quality is excellent (TV and speakers connected by Monster RCA Cables [not provided with packaging], also purchased from Amazon). The sounds are clear, crisp, and powerful.I also have an AUX out so that i can connect my laptop/ipod/iphone/other MP3 devices and the sound quality is excellent. Being able to control the bass is great so when listening to hip hop or rap you can turn the bass up and really start to rattle things in your home. These speakers are great, and would buy them again given the chance. For the price point this is probably the best 2.1 system money can buy.Some have been complaining about popping noises from their speakers, i personally have not experienced this. These speakers have been very reliable and will play at any volume you choose for hours on end.

As a former owner of the Z2300, I had high expectations for this one and and they have been met. I was surprised that the sub of this version is actually quite smaller than the Z2300 which for me is a good thing since it removes a lot of the bulk while still maintaining great sound quality. The satellites are actually larger and seem to produce more pumping sound and I'm glad they got rid of the separate volume control. I'm a listener of electronica (Deep House) and the Z623 seems like a perfect fit for my music. Another plus is that they have now included a AUX input for RCA cables straight into the sub so now you no longer that cheap looking y-cable that came bundled with the Z2300.All in all I'm very satisfied with this new set and true successor to the Z2300.

This sound system is 10 months old and it said it came with a 2 year warranty.The push button On and Off switch is broken.They sound good if you can set the on and off button to where it does'nt make a bunch of static.I would recommend this sound system to anyone.Just because of Logitechs Service Staff.OK here comes the UP-DATE 12/16/2011I Called Logitech and I must say these folks were GREAT.They had me taken care of in no time at all, and the new speakers are on there way in 5 to 7 days UPS."NO HASSEL" I'm still in shock "NO HASSEL"WOW Its really GREAT to work with such a company and they have a WONDERFUL Service Staff.I really do enjoy these speakers and I'm sure everyone that purchase's a set will too.I hate to say it but this company service staff is really better than AMAZON's is."NO KIDDING"

I am really big into music and the quality of sound. I bought this system for my dorm room because I didn't want to bring a 5.1 system or the speakers that i use for dj'n. For the price these speakers are very good. In the low end they definitely have bass and cover that spectrum of sound, however I am really into bass and I feel that the subwoofer could push out a little more and maybe be a bit more crisp throughout the entire low end frequencies instead of just getting the best sound on the punchy bass tones. Now mind you that I am very use to extreme amounts of bass so I am a bit biased. The mids are very nice and don't get too muddy. with increased volume you tend to lose the mids and highs together, but that isn't until you have the system turned up 3/4 to almost all the way, which it is rarely ever at this level. The highs are nice, crisp and full.Overall it is a great system for the price, are there others out there that are better? yes. For the price? probably not.I would recommend this system to anyone, especially if they're not a hard critic of sound.

Extremely satisfied with this system on both desktop and laptop. It replaces an eleven year old Microsoft Digital Sound System that I didn't think I could replace for under $300. I was mistaken.After making simple adjustments for bass and volume on the right speaker, music is very clear, crisp and clean as well as every word a vocalist singsI did have trouble setting it up. The old system connected via USB. This one used my sound card which, for me, resulted in no sound at all. Finally discovered that a setting had been changed in Sound Properties (Windows XP) I reset and problem was solved.Do not hesitate to buy this item....UPDATE: The subwoofer quit after four days with sound coming only from the speakers. I contacted Logitech technical support and they agreed that I had tried everything: disconnect, reconnect, connecting via back and then front sound card connections, and finally connecting to my laptop but with the same results.Long story short...Logitech Customer Service is great. After sending them my Amazon proof of purchase, jpeg by email or fax, they will ship another sound system to me. Very positive experience.I do recommend that you register your product at their website as soon as you receive it....it's a headstart should the product fail in any way.

Well I will start this review by stating that I have had the Bose dock speaker system and the Harmon 2.1 system. Both of these systems have a clarity that the Z623 can't touch but you can't beat the price. If you plug your ipod to this system, you're going to get some ridiculous about of bass. I literally turned the bass all the way down and then clockwise just enough to here the bass kick back in. To be fair, this is a system made for a computer so when you use it for that purpose then it works amazing. I also plug it up to my projector when I want to play video games and the sound is fantastic. Even though I have to turn down the bass when I plug my ipod to the side speaker, I still love how loud it gets. You can pretty much have 3 different things hooked up to the Z623.

These are nice 2.1 speakers.Sure you can buy 5.1 speakers for surround sound, but, if you buy a 5.1 system for around the price you pay for these speakers... The quality will be BAD.Logitech Z-506 are cheaper than these speakers, do offer 5.1 surround sound, but will lack the quality and power of sound compared to the Z623 (which is why these are more expensive).Bass: Ok, the bass is just top notch quality. It feels like you are in a movie theater, and things will shake if you put the bass up high. You can really "feel" the bass, especially in games.Mid/Highs: These aren't completely perfect quality by any means, but they are better than any speakers at this price range.Volume knob and bass knob conveniently located on the right speakers.When using headphones on the headphone jack (located on the right speakers), turning the volume knob WILL change the volume on the headphones. Some speakers don't offer control of this, this one does.Cord Length is not the longest. But if you are using for a desk, cord length is more than adequate. For a 50+ inch home theater system, you will need to get cord extensions. (which are cheap on amazon)Sound card or no: Honestly, the difference is very subtle, depending on the sound card you have. If you have a very very high end sound card, you will expect very nice sound. However, without a sound card, these sound perfectly fine. Sound isn't muddy, and bass is never lacking.Overall, worth the slightly over 100$ price.

I've used the x-240 speakers for years, but saw the need for a more powerful system. I started looking around, and this setup caught my attention.The difference is day and night from what I was using before. These are a major improvement. Being able to watch a movie without distotring bass is amazing.Pros:-Powerful bass, hits all the lows without distortion.-Satellites sound clear with good range.-Cheap enough for basic budgets.-Sounds good (Deep bass, nice range).Cons:-Volume and Bass knobs don't turn to infinity.Other:-I did notice a slight burnt smell after playing them for the first time. Not to worry, I'm sure that's just the new speakers settling in.Overall, speakers on a budget don't get much better than these. There are more expensive speakers for the audio critiques out there, but these will do just fine for most users.

Good: Sound quality is amazing for 2.1Bad: Right speaker has static with nothing happening. I unplugged the speakers from my sound card to make sure it wasn't my sound card, and it wasn't. The static stays at the same volume no matter how loud you turn the speakers up, so it is mostly annoying when nothing is playing or making sound. Also, they are made by Logitech, which in my experience, makes products that don't last for more than 2 years.

This review is written from the perspective of a layman.The Good: This speaker system sounds great! When you watch a movie or play a game you can hear all kinds of extra sounds that you would not hear on a TV, and the depth of the bass is very very pleasing. I'm not going to go on and on, they are really excellent at their primary purpose: sounding good. So if you want some good sounding speakers these will fit the bill.The Bad: This system is VERY BASIC. A lot of effort was put into having high quality sound. Choices must be made, and the two things they left out are:1) You are limited to two RCA jacks (left and right) for your output. No optical audio, no way to run the HDMI though the speakers so you can use sound from it. This is very normal considering the price. You could plug these into your ipod, your computer, and into many other devices this way.2) There is no remote control. So many devices (including devices much cheaper than this) come with remotes. At first it may surprise you. Of course, there is no promise of a remote, but I would have liked the ability to program my existing remote to control them. This matters to me because when I plugged it into my TV it did not go up and down with the volume of my TV.I plugged these into my TV output, so that everything I use (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, and TV) all goes through the speakers. This is important, because I use my PS3 for Hulu and Netflix streaming. But my particular TV, a Vizio, doesn't adjust the volume on the audio output when you reduce the main volume. This makes adjusting the volume a problem although muting the TV works fine. I'm one of those people who lowers the volume when a commercial is playing, and now I just mute it. If a movie gets too loud I have to get up and adjust the knob. Its been a long time since I had to do that. I'm sure you could find a way to fix this but its not obvious.Overall I am pleased. With a remote (or even the ability to train it to work with my existing remote) I could give them 5 stars.

Excellent sound quality for the price. They also look great but the cords are too short. They need an extra 18" to 24" in length. Is it just me or don't most people have desks that they would like to spreak the speakers out on. This is a very common flaw but I would expect good quality to get all things right including the cord length.

I've been using 5:1 speakers forever and got into the 7:1 several years back and I'm just tired of trying to produce good music on my computer with these systems. With a good sound card and this Logitech speaker setup you get a good bang fo your buck. I've had some problems with either the sub box connector or the cord to the right speaker, but Amazon has replaced it with 1 day replacement...Can't beat that with a stick..The speakers have good highs and the sub is very good in the bass dept. I do not get any floor shaking from the sub, but it does make good clean bass. The sub is a bit big, but have to have that size to make good bass then you live with it. Speakers are good looking other then the fat cord from the box to the left speaker. I like the lighted power button and volume control works well. The bass management control work well also.All in all the only thing I'd wish for is some better mid tones, and that would makes this system pop.. A- is my score on the Logitech THX-Certified Speaker System Z623

I know a lot of people will compare the Z-623 to their predecessors. I like others owned the Z-2300. In my opinion, the Z-623 system clearly has more oomph on the low end, and can get louder (Though you shouldn't try to get to their max level as you will deafen yourself). I'm no super audiophile, but the Z-2300 sounded slightly more muddy as well. Other than that they sound extremely similar.Logitech likely thought they could get a similar sounding package at less cost to them, which is exactly what the Z-623 is. My Z-2300's unfortunately broke during travel so I no longer have them, but these speakers are a worthy replacement. Don't let the negative comparison reviews scare you away from the Z-623, they are quite good on their own.Just my 2 cents.

Logitech has hit a home run with the Z623 speaker set up. May be some of the most "bang for the buck" available for around $100. This assembly works flawlessly and the sound is very impressive for medium priced speakers. The bass really does work on these speakers and can be dialed in to your liking.

Wow, Logitech has a lot of good products at low costs, but this speaker system blew me away at $126! I hooked my set up at home and was so impressed, I ordered another system for my office. The sound is clear and rich at all frequencies, with plenty of volume. Having a separate bass control, volume control of the headset, and a separate input for mp3 (or i-phone) all on the control speaker are all a plus.

Doesn't even compare to its predecessor, the z2300I bought this thinking it was better, but boy was I wrong....Yes this a "newer" speaker set...but the old z2300 is way better....if you're looking to upgrade...don't!If you don't want to take my word for it, somebody did an excellent review and comparison of both products[...]

all i gotta say is that these speakers BUMP! i live in a 2 bedroom apartment and i have to keep the bass on low just so I dont have to worry about the neighbors calling the cops on me for a noise complaint :)the sound is crisp and works great for my blu ray player and xbox360.... HIGHLY RECOMEND!!

Originally I had purchased the Z523 set of Logitech speakers, and then saw phenomenal reviews of the Z623's and noticed that for about 45 dollars more, I could gain a larger subwoofer, a THX certified setup, and bigger drivers for the speakers themeselves...I would have been crazy not to cancel the 523's and go with the 6's instead.The sound quality on these babies are VERY surprising if you're like me and are coming straight from headphones for years, and this being your first set of serious entry level computer speakers. For the average man, this set of speakers can't be beat.The bass IS BOOMING. At 30% volume and 60% bass, I can't even hear myself think these things are so rocking. I'm afraid to turn these things all the way up! If you spend a lot of your time at the desk, in front of your computer, watching tv, or playing console games then these speakers are for you!I'm not going to go into detail about sound quality, highs, lows, mids, and all of that garbage because I don't think you should be that picky. The speakers have no buzzing or hissing, no distortion or external noise, and the clairty on these are wonderful. It's as simple as that. Don't let those self-badged "audiophiles" send you off to waste your money on thousands of dollars for sound equipment when you can have the full ride here for 110 bucks.LOGITECH BABY!

I'm not an audiophile but I can tell what sounds good or bad. I suppose music could sound better in general, but at this point I'm nitpicking. The bass is straight nasty. I'm not sure there's better quality at this price, which is why I bought it. 9/10.

So I have never owned a set of Logitech Speakers before now. I have had some friends who owned them and they were more than enough for apartment living. So I shopped around and found these.At First they were DoA I bought them refurbished through Amazon, and Amazon honored their returns policy and when I got the second set was when the fun began.These speakers have incredible bass, great highs, however the mids really take some adjusting to be able to hear them properly, otherwise the highs just drown them out. These are great for movies in small to medium size rooms, games are great as well, however music is kind of a gray space. Some music sounds good obviously such as dance, and Techno. However if you want to enjoy the mids and all you do is listen to music these speakers arent for you.Pros:Great Bass, Crisp Highs, Bass adjust knob is nice, Multiple inputs.Cons:No mid sound, cords are a little short, why not have a treble adjust knob??,Aside from the Cons I would still recommend this 2.1 for the price, oppose to other speakers systems in the price range.

This is one of those sweet deals you occasionaly run into where you keep asking yourself how so few dollars could buy so much. The sound of these speakers is full and rich and the bass is easily controllable (spin the right dial) from don't bother anyone to knock your socks off.

These speakers serve their purpose extremely well, I'm blown away by the power and the crisp sound quality. Upgraded from a previous set of logitechs' (S220) which weren't bad speakers either. My room is small so I was against getting a 5.1 system due to this + I already had the z5500 in another room...it was between these(z623) or the z2300 which costs considerably more but you get a bigger sub. I think the z2300 may have been overkill for my size room, so these were a great alternative. Movies, music & games all sound SOOO much better,the sub kicks ass, powerful bass, haven't detected any buzzing or distortion..the satellites are a nice ergonomic design & have great build quality.I only wish it came with an optical connection, but no big deal, doesn't take away atall from the experience you get with this setup.Great investment, you can't go wrong with these speakers.

So far, I LOVE them. Bass strong, mid's pure, High's strong. Very directional, yet could be my settings. For me it's perfect. I can jam out, watch a movie, or what ever, and not really bother the rest of the living room. Very stylish. I am very happy.

I am a very keen listener of music and i have been researching for a good speaker system for my home. I looked at several home theater systems and finally zeroed down to Bose Cinemate Series II. I was looking to buy wireless speakers but after thorough analysis found out that they are too costly and a complete wireless home theater system is way too high. Somehow got to know about this system while browsing and read many positive reviews about this. Also the THX certification tempted me more. Now i am a happy customer of logitech. When i first played my favorite song on this one with medium sound, windows of my home started vibrating for the thumping sound. I am now hearing the sounds which i did not hear before in the songs... Definitely worth it..

these speakers sound great.. i tryed to buy the z903 logitech speakers but, took a look at the reviews and searched some videos on youtube.. i realized that they sound just a little higher, but almost the same comparing it with the price.. if you want a really good sound quality speakers for your livingroom or bedroom i strongly recomend it. also the subwoofer are one of the best i've ever heard.. to the swboofer i give a 4.9/5 (just to let you know how good it is) if you're not one of those who want to break the window with a noisy sound, but love to feel the shaking of the subwoofer i recomend this..they really worth it regarding to the price.. really good speakers!!

When my 10+ year-old Logitech Z560s died, I immediately looked for a new Logitech set to replace them. I didn't need a 4.1 or 5.1 setup since I already have a home theater and these would just be for desktop computer use for music and gaming. Looking to save some money, I bought the Z523s and frankly they were terrible. I returned those to Amazon and shelled out the extra $60 for the Z623s and I'm now much happier.Great sound quality. Though I can see some validity to peoples' complaints about the high ends, they sound more than acceptable to my non-audiophile ears for the price. The low end is much better. The speakers themselves look great and hookup is easy. Two things I really like that these feature over the Z523s, aside from the sound quality improvement, are separate power and volume controls so I can keep the volume at a consistent level and just turn the speakers on and off as needed, and a modular connection to the sound card via a standard 3.5mm RCA cable. If my 560s had that, I wouldn't have had to replace them at all and would have just replaced the cable. But as it is, I'm glad I could replace them with the Z623s. Highly recommended.

This product is perfect for computer speakers. Subwoofer goes under my desk. Left and right speakers go on the desk. They're very stylish and look good with the monitor. They angle up slightly toward my ears. Controls and jacks in the right speaker are very convenient. The sound is very good. The bass really adds a lot. With the volume control at about 25% it's plenty loud enough. For the money, this is a super buy. I also have a Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard. Logitech makes some great products.

I bought this system to improve the, less then satisfying, sound from a new flat screen TV and it has been quite an improvement. The controls on the front of one of the small speakers are easy to access and work well. My new TV has a variable audio output so the volume of the new speakers can be controlled with the TV remote. I can now actually enjoy classical music programs on the TV. A simple way to get good sound without going to a full surround sound set up.

you will not find a better quality for the price. you may not find anything this good for less than 400$. awesome sound. replaces my computer speakers and my home stereo. very nice. very good!

Excellent sound. Great price. I love these speakers! These speakers hit harder than my friends 800 watt system. Very impressive system I will be buying another set for sure.

I go to USAFA, and these speaker literally rock the entire dorms. They are exactly what I wanted and work very well. They have very clean sound and make me happy.
