I bought these speakers to upgrade the sound coming from my HTPC and they did the trick.These have sound great, not to big and not to quite. I'm sure you've been to a friends house that is showing off their new surround sound set up and it all just seemed a bit over whelming, well this set of speakers seem to be perfect for a very clean sound with subtle bass tones that let you know that there is a sub but doesn't interrupt your movie experience.ConLike others have said the wire length between the two speakers is a bit short, it was just (half inch to spare) long enough for my application though.

If you don't like cymbals, hi-hats, or tambourines, then the Z623 is for you. The Z623's sub-woofer sounds great and hits pretty hard & deep. Not a mere rumble box. And the two satellites actually sound pretty decent from where the sub leaves off up until around 15kHz (or thereabouts), which is where they stop producing sound. You may ask, "Why won't you hear anything from 15 thru 20 kHz, like cymbals, hi-hats & tambourines?" Cuz the satellites do not have tweeters in them!!! Grrr!You may not be able to detect the absence of tweeters if you just play video games, & listen to rap, electronica, or metal. If you listen to more sophisticated types of audio (orchestral, classical, folk, acoustic, jazz, etc.), you will be very disappointed in the Z623 system. I tried to listen to Terrapin Station with a just-bought Z623 setup. The lack of crystal clear high end notes on the satellites made me rebox and return them for a refund the very same day.If you *do* enjoy cymbals, hi-hats, tambourines, and the like, then I caution you against buying the Z623.

Keep in mind that I have never purchased any speakers worth being called speakers. When I got these speakers I quickly took them out of the box, didn't expect the sub woofer to be that big, but now I know why. The sound quality is great, quickly tried many songs I had, tested the bass, how loud it could get. Only on certain songs did I get a bad sound, but quickly messed with my computer speaker settings and worked that out. I'd highly recommend these speakers, they sound Awesome. Loved that I can plug my Evo to it if I'm too lazy to plug it to my laptop. I bought them for my small room so that wasn't such a bright idea, but nevertheless, would not return them, I returned my TV instead! Awaiting a new one that Is compatible with them, they're that awesome. Try them, if you don't like them then return them, that's what's great about Amazon :]

I don't do much reviewing, but these speakers deserve a few words. They are great!! New Order's "True Faith" never sounded so good!!! I highly recommened these for your computer and/or game system.

Pros - low price- $99 on sale easy to hook up to both laptop and tv at same time big sound , fills room with boomcons- just one , no remote for volume, loses 1 star for that, wish remote from tv would control sound or at least mute, Any suggestions on how to get it too???

this speaker beats anything on its class! even the soundsticks sounds 'tiny' compared to this speaker. the highs and lows are very clear. but lacks on the mid, it can be changed easily using the equalizer though. money well spent. great for anything from slow music to intense gaming and movies!

I went first through the Logitech Z506 before settling on these, realizing that if I want quality sound for a low price, I should settle on 2.1 instead of 5.1. These speakers are great! They're loud and clear, and the sound doesn't crack at high volumes. What more can be said?

great iteam the only problem for me is that i am a bass head nd like alot of bass dont get me wrong it has good bass but i think they could have done a little bit better but over all very good speaker and subwoffer combo worth the money in my oppion

Being an audiophile, I knew these weren't going to really blow my socks off. I think what I got is pretty much what I expected. The sound is nice, the highs, mids and lows aren't too shabby, but it is, after all, a computer speaker system. For my use case it works fine, but if you're after high end, room-thundering sound, you may want something bigger.

I have owned several high end computer speakers and these are by far the best ones for the price. Very loud speakers but my only complaint is that the sub woofer was not able to handle the load and distorts at higher volumes. If you are looking for a good overall speaker system this is it!

I needed new quality speakers at a reasonable price and got them. They got delivered fairly quickly and even on the lowest settings for volume and bass, its still pretty nice and loud. Sound quality is clear and at high volumes, doesn't get fuzzy or what not. Excellent purchase.

I purchased the speakers to go with my new HDTV. The set up was easy and the speakers sound GREAT. They help to make a great home theater. It would be nice if the cords on the speakers were somewhat longer, but it certainly does not take away from the qaulity of the sound. I would recommend this product to anyone. I have purchased two other sets of logitech speakers for my laptops, and the overall quality of those speakers are very good.

This is my second pair of same speakers ant they are GREAT but second which was described as refurbishedwas actually used with signs of use small damage and repacked in original box !!!SoftwareHouse Storefront total disappointment if U buying buy it direct from Amazon ;)

Gave these to one of my teenage sons as a Christmas present. They sound great, although his selection of "music" isn't. Every time I tell him to turn it down he tells me "That's only half way!". He uses them with his laptop and an iPod. The bass is tremendous. Especially in the thumpy music he likes. Both he and his older brother thought they were great when they made the floor upstairs vibrate while playing music in the basement room below. The few times he played something I would call music, I thought they were very clear. I expect they will last through high school and college. They are more than enough to fill a 25x30 living room, so should be fine in a dorm room! In my opinion even at 1/3 volume... The subwoofer is HEAVY. Isn't a problem if you plan on leaving in one place.

These speakers have a great clean sound to them. Best bang for your buck. I didn't want 7.1 surround sound on my little computer desk in my apartment so I settled with these powerful speakers. 200 watts of BASS is awesome. When my sound card (X-Fi Titanium) has EXTRA BASS enabled the speakers will crack and pop a little. I think my sound card has too much sound quality that make the speakers pop a little because when I play music from my phone there is no hiss or pop, so it has to be my sound card and not the speakers themselves. After playing with it for a little while I find that it's better to leave extra bass and high quality features disabled off my sound card. So once I disable certain features on my sound card they work perfect. Great for gaming and movies and music. I love them. THX Certified!

I bought the system to use with internet radio. It was easy to install and sound quality for both speech and music is great. There is also a plug for computer sound that I use when streaming videos. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

Installation is easy. The two speakers connect to the subwoofer and the subwoofer connects to the PC via 3.5mm green cable (good length too, about 200cm/6.5ft).There are 2 ports, one for headphones, another for an aux cable on the left hand side of the right speaker, so you can play two things at once; unnecessary, but cool.I can play my iPod via aux cable without unplugging the speakers from the PC. +Power button takes little effort. No turning. Very simple pushing in/push out. Make sure the feet of the two little speakers don't touch a dusty surface, the little rubber feet won't stick when there is dust on the surface, but it's easy to wipe off if you DO get dust on the feet, like I did.The bass is amazing.

Well, I ordered these speakers a couple of days ago, and they arrived a few hours ago. Installation to my laptop took about ten minutes, and the instructions are completely idiot-proof. The look is an industrial black, like something you would find in a sound room. And their performance is better than my ten-year-old Bang & Olufsens. The highs are clear and up there and the bass has excellent woof. The midrange is a little bit whooshy sometimes, but who cares about midrange? For a mere $125 (including shipping) these speakers are an absolute no-brainer. Warning, the subwoofer is much larger and more impressive in person, which is a wonderful surprise, especially if you are looking for a pair of beautiful speakers for your man cave.

This Z 623 system is THX cert.and ..sounds Awesome.Iconnected it to a 30"HDTV with a 3d streaming Blue Ray player. Movies are great,Standard Dvds play great,and so does Pandora. My wife loves it and plays it all the time.Thanks Amazon

It's not a Bose, but it doesn't come with a Bose price tag, either. I considered higher priced systems, but settled on this one since I couldn't justify much more money for pc speakers that I knew would get minimal use. The sound quality is adequate, and the power is very good. Overall, I'm satisfied with the performance as long as I keep the price in mind.

These speakers are simply put, incredible. For the price I don't think there is a better set of speakers out there. The bass is on point as well as the mids and highs. I wouldn't recommend purchasing them if you live in an apartment because the bass is that powerful. I wouldn't want to live near me if I had these bumping in an apartment building. I have yet to turn these all the way up because it is unnecessary. I use them for my laptop and they are perfect for playing music for personal use or parties. Buy them ! They are worth every penny.

I needed a set of low cost powered speakers for my son's Numark TT USB turntable without having the added expense of an stand-alone amplifier. These speakers fit the bill perfectly! Simply string an RCA/Phono cable between the two and hey presto! Or so I thought! The sound that came out of the speakers was virtually inaudible. I finally figured out the problem. The volume knob on the underside of the turntable had the sticker reversed. The max volume indicator was on min volume and vice versa. Go figure!!! The result is a stong punchy sound with solid base from the subwoofer.

I was very impressed with the quality of these speakers. I only went with a 2.1 system due to limited desk space. These are high quality sounding speakers. I don't listen to rap or pop so I haven't got an opinion on the bass. Classic rock sounds very crisp. I have not had to turn them up past the halfway point, and it sounds very nice. Very happy with my purchase, and for the money, they sound like high quality speakers.ConsThe woofer is huge, (prolley not a con for most)I wish the wires were longer, but it's a 2.1 system so it's not like they need to go to far apart.

Wow. These sound so much better than my old speakers. I only replaced the old ones because the volume knob was causing trouble. I expected the new ones to be about the same as the old. But these have a marvelous sound for the price.As other folks have said the cords are shortish. I had to change things around a bit to get the cords to reach. But that would be my only criticism.

These look for all the world like computer speakers, and they come from a manufacturer I associate with computer speakers. But no, these are marketed as home entertainment speakers! And so, I put them to the test.Sure enough, these speakers bring some high audio quality to my various home entertainment devices. I have hooked it up to a DVD player (non-BluRay), a Nintendo Wii, an iPod, and and iPad, and with each device I've gotten a good base and solid sound overall. I'm especially happy with the iPod/iPad hook up, as I've been using these mainly with headphones or little tabletop speakers that run on batteries.These speakers have found a home in my workshop, so I can finally listen to my music LOUD and PROUD while I work on my hobbies (without having to have earbuds in).

I purchased this as a gift for hubby over Christmas and he loves it! He set them up the same day and has been watching movies on the computer since! If you are looking for bass this is a good set to purchase. If he has the speakers high enough I can feel the floor rumbling from upstairs..(the speakers are downstairs). We are not sound quality experts but we definitely love these speakers and I am glad I made the purchase. It has only been about 2 weeks of use and I will update review as time goes on.

These speakers are awesome. I originally had the Logitech Z-2300 speakers but the right speaker began to tweet and Logitech replaced them with these new updated z623s. Logitech has excellent customer service and resolved my issue fast. I have two sets of these speakers set up in my dorm room and they sound amazing. They could be a bit louder at times though.Overall, imho, these speakers are the best computer speakers you can buy for under $200.

I purchased this speaker set to use my home computer as a home stereo. The two little factory speakers just weren't cutting it. The sound quality is quite good for what you are getting. You could always spend more money and get more crisp highs and a fuller mid-range, but this product is as advertised and does the job just fine. I just wish the control cable from the right speaker to the sub-woofer were a little longer. I had to stretch it to get the sub-woofer where I wanted it. I may pick up and adapter and extension cable in the future to each the tension.

Near perfect speakers, love them. Actually I give them a 4.9 star rating (don't see that I have that option). Delivered promptly, arrived in sound condition. I have them hooked up to my computer for now, plan on using them on my tv. These are my 3rd set of Logitech speakers over the years, have gone bigger with each purchase. All three sets are outstanding quality and reasonably priced. BUY THEM, YOU WON'T BE SORRY!

Wow! I wasn't too sure of the quality I'd be getting because of the low price, but I am happily surprised! Sound is great, with Bass you can feel through the house from within my garage office. Now just gotta keep my fingers crossed that they last. I mostly use them when I connect my Blackberry to them to hear my favorite music on Pandora! I'll be getting another set for my other computer!

I am astounded by the quality sounds that come from these "computer speakers"!The clarity and sheer power are like nothing I've experienced in such a small package.This is a great 2.1 system, a tremendous upgrade over my previous Harman Kardon 2.1's, and worth every penny.

I was looking for computer speakers for the laptop in the kitchen and did research online to finally select this product. I must admit that the sound exceeded my expectations. The only item that caught me off guard was the size of the main box, but it is amazing and will figure a way to make it fit the space. Love the speakers and quality sound.

I mainly got this set for music and some games. After the terrible disappointment with the Logitech Z506, I decided to try my chances on this set. I was afraid the bass is too overpowering for music but it turned out perfect.Pros+ Bass is truly clean and powerful+ Great highs and mids as well+ No buzzing, humming, crackling noises+ On-speaker bass and volume controls w/ aux and headphonesCons- Speaker wires alittle short. Maybe 2 feet more would of been nice.- More expensive than the z-2300Overall for music lovers and gamers, this set is a great investment.

I was really impressed with the sound quality of this unit. There are no buzzing or crackling sounds so I get a clear, deep, distortion free sound on whatever unit I use it with. I've tried it on our television, iPod, and computer. My only complaint is that the wires are a little short. Besides that, you can't go wrong with this system. It's affordable and provides excellent sound quality. Highly recommended.
