The highs and mids sound muffled--not clear or crisp at all. They look pretty nice and are very simple to set up..there's also plenty of low end sound. But my laptop sounds higher fidelity than these speakers when it comes to higher frequencies. I've also owned some Klipsch Promedia 2.1 speakers which were definitely MUCH better at handling highs and mids. Will be returning these for the klipsch speakers asap. Don't be fooled by logitech's stranglehold on the mouse/keyboard, computer peripherals etc. market..these speakers sound awful

I had the previous version of this system and still use it for my other comp. Those are pretty nice. If fact, better then these in a couple of ways. First off, I listen to rock, pop, electronica, ballads and mostly vocal oriented music so vocals are important to me. The old system shines in the whole audio spectrum but these are a bit hard in the highs to the point of pain. The mids are non existant and the lows are thunderous! Also the older system had a convenient remote and these have the controls on the right speaker which is a pain in the a to deal with. Also I think if this system had proper EQ control with basic high, mid, and low controls, it would give this system another star to make 4 total. For the price I think there's probably somthing else out there but the market for decent computer speaker systems is lacking and for the life of me, I don't know why. It's ripe for the taking!! I also owned a Klipsch Pro Media system and the sats were beautiful sounding but the bass cracked up with any volume. Take the sats from that system and put it with the sub from this system and you have a winner!

I was a little hesitant to get theses but i decided to give it a whirl. First off they are bigger then I expected but they made a good fit in my room. Sound wise they are awesome. I do not have to turn them up very much and they produce a very clear sound accompanied with a deep bass. I could not be happier with these and they are a breeze to set up. I lucked out and got it before the price wen up to 135. Even then it is a good price if you want a good system. I would recommend to people that want a good speaker system for their TV.

I bought this bc I live in a noisy building with loud neighbors and a train that runs outside of my window.. I needed something to drown out the noise when I watched TV and this thing more than does the job. The bass is ridiculous, the highs distort on certain pitches, and the mid also distorts on the satellite speakers but that usually happens at very high volume. So all in all, not the best possible speakers you can buy, but for the price they're great.

I bought this factory refurbished. It works great and gives good performance for what it is. Nothing earthshaking but it will give you pretty good pop if you are looking for very competent affordable 2.1 speakers for your pc. Hardcore Audiophiles will not be satisfied obviously as these are not on that level. However everyone else should be easily more than satisfied.

These speakers are bigger than my old Cambridge Soundworks speakers but they do not crowd my desk. I haven't had speakers with the volume and bass adjustment on the speaker for years so that is a great option as the old bass adj. was on the sub itself which was under my desk making it not accessible. The installation is a snap but I wish the cords were just maybe a foot longer each. Other than that, excellent 2 speaker set-up!

I got this for my birthday and I had high expectations. I WAS RIGHT. I was extremely excited to use it and test it. Perfect for games, music, and movies. I feel like I'm in the movie theater. These speakers give a lot of bass which is incredible. They are THX certified which means high sound quality. It costs $104.99 and I think its really worth it.(The price can change.) There are speakers out there that can do better, but they can be more expensive. I highly recommend buying this system. Excellent work, Logitech and Thank you Mom and Dad for buying this lovely present.

Bought theses speakers about a month ago and I love them! They have great all around sound and the bass hits really hard. My room starts shaking before I even can get it to full volume with the bass all the way up. They were very easy to install, no instructions needed and I even have them hooked up to my xbox sound so it makes gaming and watching movies 10 times better! Highly Recommended speakers, for sure.

I bought this Z/623 Speaker System a couple weeks ago. Lucky to buy it at $107 with free shipping. I have it hooked up to my HDTV Sony TV HBR6. I am very pleased with the sound and volume of this system. You run it from the HDTV Audio Out. You also have the option to use both tv audio or just the Audio system speakers. I also have a Sony Sound Bar/Woofer I can use along with the other speakers if I wish. It all depends on the movie, music or station I am watching which option I use to listen. Every day that goes by I really like this Z/623 Speaker System more and more. Some music you really need to crank it up some. Others even at mid way is like a Stereo Bomb going off. I dare not turn it all the way up. I could wake the dead, lol. The only thing that is missing is no remote. For the price I believe this system Can Not be beat......Also thanks Amazon for not shipping by Esenda and using UPS!Alan

I RESEARCHED AND LOOKED AT OTHERS REVIEWS BEFORE BUYING. I LIKE THE UPWARD ANGLE OF THE SATELLITES. THE LOWS DELIVERED BY THE WOOFER ARE IMPRESSIVE. I DID NOT EXPECT BUT HOPED FOR SOME QUALITY AND VOLUME. THIS UNIT DID DELIVER BY FAR FOR ITS PRICE, OR ANYTHING ELSE I'VE HEARD EVEN CLOSE TO ITS LOW PRICE RANGE. DEFINITELY AN EASY UPGRADE FOR MY COMPUTER AND MY TV!

i am 40. this is my first desktop i ever owned. had laptops before. when i bought my dell i upgraded my keyboard, mouse and bought these speakers. it was extremely easy to set up. i like the volume contorl and bass control on the speaker. the cables are good quality and the sound is just fine. they look good and i am very pleased. for the price i paid, i am very happy w/my purchase and my new set up... on a side note, i bought the logitech solar wireless keyboard --- best purchase yet. i love this thing...

The speakers worked fine for 33 days. Then they stopped working. I can't return them, so I will replace them with speakers from a local store that provides customer support. My new speakers will go the the landfill.Thanks Amazon for the $130 lesson. This saved me from buying something more expensive.

These Logitech THX Certified Speakers are a great set of 2.1 speakers.Pros+ Loud+ Brings movies, music to life. It's obviously not 5.1 surround sound but it's great for 2.1+ Able to plug in multiple things at once+ Subwoofer is just LOUD LOUD LOUD. It may not look at big as the Z2300 bass, but it produces same thump. (I got noise complaints from my neighbor)Cons+ no remote (personal preference)+ the speakers are a bit ugly in my opinion, the z2300 speakers looked better+ the price (this was near $180 back in 2010 when I got it but it's relevantly cheap now)+ maybe slightly longer wires+ STATIC IN THE VOLUME KNOBOverall these are great 2.1 speakers for gaming, movies, and music. They are guaranteed to rumble your entire house!!!!Fast forward 2 years later, I've had 2 pairs of these now and they both had the same problem. The first 6 months of using these, they are perfect & work without problem but then after you would get a huge static on the volume knob when you are changing the volume. I've sprayed compressed air, taken the speakers apart to clean the dust out but that doesn't fix the problem You have to turn the knob like 20+ times & the static will stop but it will come back maybe 15mins later. It's frustrating when you have a set of speakers this good but it's plagued by static on the volume knob and crap wires. My right side speaker wire tore after only 1 year of usage as well. So for that reason, I cannot give these speakers higher than 2 stars because BOTH sets I got was plagued by this volume knob static problem that is annoying.

For $150, you can't go wrong with these. They play every genre of music amazingly well. The bass is superb, and powerful. At 15% volume, these speakers are easily loud enough for anyone sitting near them. I recommend these to just about anyone, and I don't see any need to buy anything more expensive then these.

The price was definitely worth it. The subwoofer is the main speaker and the other two connect through it. I'll take this over some crappy $8 speakers any day! Would buy it again.

nice set. it sets up and plugs together in just a few minutes. the sound is really nice. I had no idea what I was missing in my game (eve online) til i turned up the sound and let it fly. no distortion at the loudest setting. solid construction. I like it.

High fidelity this system is not. It is not well balanced and very boomy. It is light in the mid-bass through lower mid range region and very bass-heavy. I didn't give it fewer stars considering the low price.

I was very surprised at how great these speakers sound.I've tried many expensive speakers over the years for my computers and am usually disappointed.These things go very loud without distortion.Bass is nice and big without that "thrrrpphhh" sound you get from most speakers.They also have a nice heavy feel to them. They are definitely well put together.You won't be let down by these.A+.

I was a little apprehensive about this purchase but I am loving these speakers more and more each time I use them. Very easy hook-up with a 3.5 mm port so you can use a wide variety of products with these speakers. Also these are about $30 cheaper than newegg.

The package was well wrapped and arrived with no shipment issues. It took 5 minutes to install the speakers and I was once again listening to great sound. My old speakers were good (Klipsch 2.1) but these are better. Only thing that I couldn't give a 5 rating is the amount of base, but I need to experiment more with some recordings I know have lots of base with them. Overall, the best I've seen.

If you use your computer for high quality sound, especially gaming or DVDs, these speakers may be a good choice. I tried this out with Brahms 4th Symphony and Return of the King and they produced great, crystal-clear sound, all the way up to top volume, which was loud as heck.What's good:- The speakers have nice, clear sound up to room shaking volumes, with minimal distortion, and enough bass to clean the plaque out of your arteries. Using these speakers, you could use your laptop to rock a house party or could watch action movies until your ears bleed. (In a good way).- The controls are handy. The right desktop speaker has the power button, volume, bass control, and headphone ports.- Good stereo response for a 2.1 system. (THX certification means that the folks at THX agree, and they have better ears than I do, so I'll take their word for it.)- You could hook this up to anything with an 3.5 mm (earphone) jack, or an RCA jack. While it seems to be mostly designed for computers or gaming systems, you could also plug it into a tv, dvd player, or even an MP3 player.What could be better:- This isn't a 5.1 (surround sound) system, so the stereo effects are going to sound the best when you're right between the two speakers. (I.e., in your computer chair.)- The cables that run from the desktop speaker to the sub-woofer are a little short. I ended up drilling a hole in the back of my desk to cut down on the run length.

These speakers are absolutely fantastic!Ever since I moved, I've been relying on my crummy laptop "speakers." I decided to get these speakers to test them out, and WOW, what excellent sound!! I'm so happy that I got them.The sound is EXTREMELY clear, and the bass is perfect. You can really crank it up and feel your whole house vibrating from the bass, haha. You can hear things in songs that you've never heard before. It's like an entirely different listening experience. The sound quality and clarity are both just tremendous.Installation was basically simple, although as some other folks have said, it would be nice to have longer cords. They are a bit short which is annoying. Also, the subwoofer is HUGE. Now, granted, that probably makes a difference with the sound quality, but it does take up some room, so keep that in mind if you're working with a small space and/or don't want to have to move the thing around a lot! It's a bit heavy.All in all, the good very much outweighs any potential "issues" or negativity. Excellent speakers and a good investment.

It took me all of a minute to get these set up and pumping bass. They sound amazing for the price. There is plenty of power, the bass is crisp and does not overwhelm the highs, surprisingly. Logitech is providing outstanding value in this speaker system and I highly recommend it.

I just got these on sale and they are amazing for computer speakers. Hookup was a snap and the sound is great! Great clarity and tight awesome bass. They replaced a 10 yr old Altec Lansing 2.1 system so there is no comparison, but I have listened to alot of computer speakers including the Klipsch 2.1 THX system and these sound better IMHO.

A few years ago, my husband bought speakers for his computer that I loved--and he bought me the same set: Logitech X2302.1 two piece dual drive speakers with ported subwoofer. They were approximately $80 and purchased from Amazon.Since then, we burned our 4200 or so cds to an external hard drive and, in comparison to our cd player/speakers, the sound lacked fullness and richness. But it was so convenient to listen to music on my computer that I began to listen to almost all of my music that way.Enter the Z623 THX Certified Speaker System. What a difference. The sound is crystalline but not cold, and I can hear individual instruments with much greater distinctness and power. I put on The Wild, the Innocent and the E Street Shuffle's New York City Serenade to get the full effect. It was like being in a concert hall with well-behaved (ie., quiet) fellow listeners.Videos and movies on the computer are also clearer and more rich-sounding. I now enjoy watching movies via computer.Hooking the speakers up to the computer was very simple. The sub-woofer is a big honkin' huge baby--much larger than my previous speakers. It takes up more room on my computer desk, so if space is an issue for you, keep that fact in mind. But otherwise, it's been a great, great change for the better.My husband now wants to get speakers like mine.

I love this product. I have three speakers in my house and I can actually feel the soud now. It is not a volume thing, either, and I like that because some systems make it about that. this is what it claims to be and more - it has that THX touch and it makes the house seem like it feels with sound. Whether I'm watching movies or I'm watching a sporting event the form still stays the same.It keeps giving.As far as room, this is great. It hides easily and it does as much as most five speaker systems. That surprised me, truth be told, because I'm accustomed to lots of wires and hassle. This was straight plug and play and I loved that. I also love the control it gives when it comes to the sound. The bass it adjustable and the volume has an easy control. This means the optimum sound that makes both the TV nd my movies and video games sound great. I really like it with my X-Box 360 games because it sounds perfect and, occasionally, I even slap it into my I-Pod to have fun.If I would have know that things were this easy, I would have invited this in a long time ago. I love it and would not have it any other way. Its a great system, comes with what you need, and does not lie in any way. From the installation to the wires I don't have to worry about, I really find my experience going to places I have been wanting for a long time now.

This speaker system sound quality is very nice. Most would opt to get the Bose speaker systems immediately but if you don't have any intent on replacing your speakers quickly you should do your research via amazon and the YouTube Videos giving reviews on speaker systems you may be interested in. This Logitech Z623 was easy to set up and when I turned it on I was like I'm returning it because it sounded like it was buzzing, but once I tampered with the volume and the bass knob it was like to ole buddies who hadn't seen each other in awhile! I can not stress enough that the bass quality is amazing. When setting up certain speaker systems you may not get the sound quality you see based on the acoustics of the area in which you place it. I needed surround sound in my bedroom and this went beyond my expectations. So I would recommend this speaker system to anyone wanting to boost there listening pleasures for T.V. Video Games Music from your mp3 player or computer... its around 168.00 at Best Buy if you want it quick and amazon of course has it.. It truly a nice speaker system!

These speakers are nice. They live up to the sound that THX stands for. The bass rocks. I would most certainly use them as my sound system to have a party, as I've already stated they rock. I do recommend them.

I was more than satisfied with my purchase. I've only had them for about 3 days, but I really love these speakers. There is nothing in the song that I cant hear. No matter how low or high it comes through clear. The bass adjustment is great for keeping the volume high while not shaking your neighbor's(across the street)house. I've had a couple 2.1 systems and this is my favorite by far. It is worth it to pay the extra $20 in oppose to the lower tier options.

I cannot get them to work with my samsung led tv. When I try to connect them to the tv from the audio they do not work. Work great with an iPod or computer, but the picture on the box shows them work with tv. Anyone know what secret step I am forgetting?

If you want a solid simple stereo set of speakers that sound great and most importantly are Convenient than these are them.Why I got them: Convenience of use1. Volume knob on the left speaker2. Headset jack on the left speaker3. Power button on the left speaker4. Stereo only. All the 5.1, 7.1 are simply nothing but headaches with a mess of wires.All this and the sound is good too.

For about a month now I've been using these speakers, which replaced my failing Klipsch speakers. The sound quality, high and low, is clean. I use them on our family desktop for movies, iTunes, and television. I'm very pleased with them, especially for the price.

These are a great alternative to Sound Bars at less than half the price.Once unpacked I was set up in about five minutes, plug and play basically.Great improvement over the speakers on Samsung Flat Panel TV.For the price and free shipping, really hard to beat.Update, this Speaker System Rocks!!Great for digital music, jazz, rock played throughcable, and movies come to life big time.Have to agree when I have these hooked up to laptopthe mids are missing, but not a problem when usingwith flat screen tv, sound much better.

This system is by far the best speaker set for a computer I've ever owned. I've had experience with the Klipsch equivalent and I was looking for something just as good, and these are just as good and a little bit cheaper with never hurts. The sound is clear, the bass is great. The subwoofer is a bit big so it's a little tight under my desk, but besides that I have no complaints.

Brought this 6 months ago. Is still working great. Also make sure that you have a good sound card to use with this. I could clearly tell the difference after using it with a pc that has a sound card and one that doesn't have a sound card. Cord length is more than enough if you keep your woofer below the table. Comes with a volume and bass knobs. I also felt the headphone jack on the right speaker is degrading the sound somewhat when compared to the original source (pc in my case). But that is not such a huge problem.

It's funny. Was once a time when speakers on computers were pretty superfluous. You got them to hear pings and bongs and the wonderful sounds of MSWindows opening and that was about it. Now with YouTube and MP3 files and Netflix serving up movies and television not just speakers, but GOOD speakers are required.These Logitech Z623 speakers fit the bill. Good sound, decent price, and super easy to install. Basically all you have to do is take them out of the box and figure out where to put the sub-woofer.I tested them on our home PC and my MacPro. What I found is that it's all in the soundboard. The kids' old HP served up a less than satisfying result. BUT that wasn't the fault of the speakers. Hooked up to the Mac they produced loud clear music with decent base.I tried a variety of musical styles to test the highs, lows, and in betweens: Beethoven's 5th, Puccini, Marilyn Manson, and Muddy Waters. I was happy with the results. Sitting across the room the speakers sounded good. Real good. (I wish there was a remote!)THE SKINNY:::These Logitech speakers would make a great gift. Either for someone else or yourself. (Remember though that the quality of the sound is going to totally depend upon your card.)The highs are crisp, the mid-tones clear, and once the sub-woofer kicks in there is good base.Pam T~mom/blogger

I don't think these speakers are good for much of anything. Long lengths of listening fatigue the ears. Something feels...missing. Other reviews point out a disturbing lack of mids. I'd have to agree. Bass? Check. Highs? Minor check. Mids? What mids? Oh, there's some mid frequencies represented, but not enough.Left speaker stopped working within a day, too. Statistical anomaly, I know. Don't waste your time.

This a great system as far as bang for buck. The THX sound shines as far as mastered sound, but if your into music that may not always be the greatest quality (read: downloaded DJ mixes) this system is great for the lows and highs but it missing ALOT of the mids. If your not horribly concerned with sound quality then this will be just fine.The subwoofer on this system is GREAT! It hits clean, you feel it and you hear it, for a 7 inch driver you can't ask for more.Bottom line: If your looking for a bass heavy system that's affordable and reasonable sounding, THIS is it. If your an audiophile pair these with some BOSE companion speakers and you'll be happy.

After a bit of Christmas shopping research I bought to replace my older BIG cd and tape stereo which I had hooked up to my comp. Wooow the whole system is about 1/3 the size of my old one and BUMPS hard if not Harder.The two speakers offer great Mid to high, while the Sub handles all to low, Incredible combination. It has an additional aux Line in and headphone jack on the speaker as well as a digital aux on back.The only reason I gave it 4 stars on easy of installation is because the right speaker's cable is not the same as the left rather it's thick like a computer monitor. Could be a problem if you like switching your right and left speakers. Also they do not have digital optical in, I know it didn't say anywhere that it did, just thought it would be beneficial for those wanting great sound from your TV.Other than that, these are amazing. Your not going to believe what your music has had to offer all this time. At a small size and small price I'd say GO FOR IT !

I really like these speakers. They were very easy to set up and sound fantastic. Have used computer speakers for years and these are by far the best ones that I have owned. You don't need a lot of volumn - will blow you out of the room. I listen to a lot of classical music and the words are very distinct and easy to understand. Would highly recommend the Logitech Z623.

I was a bit disappointed in the sound quality. This unit replaced my old Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 which had great sound but went bad in less than 2 years. Unless you compare this Logitech Z623 side-by-side to something like the Klipsch, you probably will think it is a pretty good speaker system. However its bass quality is not as full and rich as I was expecting. The next time I will order another Klipsch even though it probably won't last too long!!
