The camera is clear and with the auto-focus, and face-following feature, you are never out of focus. I like the added feature of being able to place video masks on. I would recommend the product.

I've had this for over a year now. I use it constantly for Skyping and to create YouTube videos. The resolution's fabulous and the software is easy to use. Oh yeah, I can't believe they can sell such a sophisticated item for so little.

I have bought 4 webcams in total. This is by far the absolute best. I do a lot video calls with family in other cities. Webcam is essential to close the distance between our family.I upgraded to Windows 7 recently. Thanks to Microsoft, Windows 7 cannot locate the drivers for my other 3 webcam. This put me on the market for a new webcam. After quite bit research, Logitech C910 appeared to have the best price/performance. It does HD video nice. When it's on sale for $50, I bought two, sending the other one to my family. Installation was a breeze on Window 7 and Vista. When we connected on a video call, we noticed the whole world of difference. Gone was those old blurry dotty video. We can see HD video in crystal clear. I can read a book holding up on the other end.The improvement really comes from auto-focus. My old webcams all come with manual focus. It worked ok on a certain range. But hey, we don't just sit straight and talk. So the auto-focus feature of C910 really makes a difference.If you're looking for a webcame for video calls, don't need to look at any other model.

I looked at a lot of webcams when it came time to replace my old webcam and this Logitech came out top of the list particularly at this price point. Setup is painless including integration with existing applications such as Skype. You really do not have to do anything if you chose the express setup. I did not care to have the effects software installed and it gives you the option to install only the components you want. It is very easy to install.The video quality is very good and latency is not an issue - you need to have a high speed connection for high quality video chats but that is true for any HD webcam. If you are on a dial-up or low speed DSL you might not be happy with the performance but that is due to the connection speed not the webcam.There are stereo mics built in that sound much better than the typical single microphone but the real bonus is the Carl Zeiss lens. Most webcams have plastic lenses so the glass in this webcam beats plastic any day. It has the ability to track your face if you want but I have not had a need for that.The only reason I did not give a 5 star rating is that there is that there is no case provided and if you travel with the webcam this may become an issue as the lens may get pretty scratched up. I take mine with me and with everything else in a computer bag, without protection it is going to get scratched. I was surprised that Logitech did not provide even a soft bag to put the thing in. This is their top of the line webcam so you would think they would provide a way to protect it while traveling. Surely they did not assume that everyone was going to use it in a permanent installation. The cost of a little bag would not have raised the price enough for people to decide not to buy. There are much cheaper webcams that come with some sort of bag or case. It may be trivial to some but for those of us that will be throwing the webcam into the computer bag and jumping on planes etc. it is disappointing since we know it is a matter of time before there is a nice scratch across the lens.Some people have complained about the way the clamp works on a laptop. The claim is that it does not work on laptops. This is not the case from my experience. You have to understand how the clamping action works - and it is not difficult to figure out - but the webcam rest very well on the top edge of my laptop screen and has never fallen off so I would not give a lot of weight to these claims from my experience.I recommend this webcam - I don't think you can beat it at this price.

I chose this cam because I trust Logitech and I liked some of the other reviews. I had an old web cam from Intel that I liked because it had an RCA jack that allowed me to attach my video camera and use it as a web cam. When I upgraded my home Machine to a 64 bit Window 7 system I was not able to get a driver for the old Intel cam. When I received this Logitech cam I installed it in a matter of minutes with no problems. I installed everything but I don't use Logitech Vid because I like using Skype. I frequently make video calls to Russia because I used to work there and like to keep in touch with friends. The first time I made a call with this cam my friend asked if I got a new cam because he noticed the picture quality was much better. Before I got this cam I was using my XP laptop cam or sometimes the Intel cam on my laptop. My friends said this video quality was much better than before.There are some features like face recognition and filters which I don't use on the cam so I cannot rate them. When making calls I found the device easy to use. The people I talked to said they could hear me perfectly and the video was great. I don't use a head set when I make calls. I have the cam mounted on top of a monitor and I listen through the system speakers. I didn't get any feedback noise at all. I was about three feet away from the mic when I spoke and the speakers were set fairly loud. One feature I did use was the cam control panel. There I was able to zoom and change the cam angle. The zoom is very good but the pan feature is limited. I found I couldn't pan left and right very far.I took a couple of snap shots and made some videos with the cam and the quality was very good. The universal clip worked good when I tried it in several positions. I used it as a stand to set on the desk and I tried it hanging on the monitor. I have three monitors on my computer and the clip works great on the Gateway LCD monitor but the other two are larger Samsung TV/monitors and are kind of thick and the clip would not fit on them. I think for the average monitor this clip would be fine. On the desk it feels sturdy but you may want to use something so it won't slide so easy on smooth desk surfaces.Overall I would recommend this cam. I wouldn't say I am a power user when it comes to web cams, I just use it to make video calls and maybe take some photos. All the features I have used worked with no trouble. I have not tried to connect it to my older XP system so I can't verify if any of the install problems I read about are true. I got this because I needed a cam that worked on a 64 bit system. This cam has exceeded my expectations in terms of quality and ease of installation.

I purchased one of these cameras hoping to help a vision impaired relative use it to display documents and objects on a large screen monitor, on a MacBook Pro. Bad idea. First of all, very few of the cameras features are accessible from the Macintosh platform due to driver limitations. Logitech blames this on the Macintosh driver standard, but I've since learned of software which somehow gets around some many of these limitations (iGlasses software) and lets you use the Logitech camera with applications that are otherwise not available to it due to "driver limitations." Unfortunately, when I used this software, the resolution of the C910 seemed lacking. But then I tried using the Logitech provided simple photo and video capture software, which ostensibly takes advantage of the resolution of the camera. Based on that experience, I concluded that the sensor in the C910 is actually only a 640 x 480 sensor and the "high resolutions" are all obtained by means of software tricks, which don't work well at all on text documents. I returned the camera. Thank you, Amazon! It may very well be a fine web camera for Windows platforms, but not the Macintosh. Frankly, I think if you tried achieving "true 1080P" resolution on a PC (1920 x 1024 pixels) you would find the same thing that I did....Just a software interpolation of a camera that in fact has fewer pixels than you are led to believe by Logitech!

This product has far surpassed my expectations. While it took a bit of work to set up, it wasn't really all that difficult aside from deciding what NOT to install, as several optional programs are offered. It pays to review the video clips for all of them so you can make an intelligent selection as to what you actually want for your particular needs. I consider myself to be an advanced amateur as I game quite a bit and have done several product installations in the past. But I don't do coding, or mess with BIOS, etc. (none of the dangerous stuff!)The camera's video and photo quality is top notch. Tried waving very fast to see whether it could track without lag. No problem! This is a change from what I've seen in the past where the result would be very choppy. Also must highly recommend connecting with Skype (one of the optional programs) for keeping up with distant relatives and friends. You will find however, that the quality of transmission is highly dependent on both your or your recipient's connection and bandwidth. One of my sons was trying to use his laptop from Georgia with a card that makes his web connection. Lots of choppiness noted. Another one connected to me from Alaska. I'm in Indiana. We both have cable connections. Was outstanding and a great way to keep in touch. Also many fun toys to play with. Some of them are integral to the camera itself, some are on the optional programs.My favorite so far is the Skype capability of making a box to show what is on your desktop then transmitting it to whoever you're viewing. Enabled us to play and record home movies back and forth with minimal learning curve. I went with the $2.99/month unlimited service plan so I could connect with my youngest son's cell phone. Otherwise, it's that magical price: FREE!As for the webcam itself, it is truly high-definition, 1080p, no choppiness noted, outstanding color, easy to use once you get set up. The only idea I have for improving it is to make it wireless. Would be nice to be able to walk around with it and show things not in the immediate area of my desktop. Sound and microphone capabilities are also outstanding. Your results will of course depend on the quality of the rest of your equipment and how beefy your web connection is. Am using this with Windows 7 64-bit. Display is a Samsung 26" 1080p monitor. My speakers are Klipsh Promedia THX, and my computer is an Ibuypower running on an Intel Core i7 960, with 2 Nvidia GTX 275 video cards in SLI. I use Comcast's 16 Gigabyte cable service for internet. Overall, I give this product 5 stars. Gave it a 4 in installation, but that may be because it took me about 1/2 hour just to sort through everything and pick out what was most useful. Much better having to spend a bit of time shopping, however, than not having enough support built in, which has been my experience with several similar products.

Great audio and video quality. Sits securely on the monitor, but because it's not a clip-on mount, careful with bumping the monitor or desk too hard--the camera will fall off (although it's survived its several falls from my desk due to cats & kids). It's short and narrow profile look good on a black monitor, fitting in better than a roundish camera. Lots of custom adjustments. Works great with Skype. Glad I bought it.

I got this camera for my desktop so I can video chat with girlfriend/family/friends from my desktop. It's well built and feels solid. Accidently dropped it from a height of 3 feet to a glass desk and it had no scratches and worked perfectly fine. I was disappointed that the camera doesn't swivel and can only go up and down. That may be a problem for some. I tested this camera with gmail video chat as well as skype and the quality was fantastic. The face tracking is nice and accurate. Since this is a 720p/1080p camera zooming in on your face in software still produces a sharp image for your video partner. This was not the case with my laptop's built in camera that was below 720p. The color reproduction is good and the dual mics are superb. I'm not going to use my standalone desktop mic anymore even for regular voice chat.In conclusion:Pros:ConstructionDual MicrophonesOpticsFace Tracking720p/1080p videoColor and contrast auto balanceCons:No swivel to left/rightI'd recommend this hands down. There's a refresh of this webcam coming soon according to rumors wait for that and watch the price of this one drop :)

I'm replacing my iMac at home with a Mac Pro from work, and I wanted to get something that would work out of the box with iChat.After doing quite a bit of research on the matter, I discovered that the C920 (the newer version of this model) requires special software to work on a Mac. I ordered this product (the C910), plugged it into my Mac, and everything "just worked".The product is very high quality, and is significantly better than the camera built into my old iMac. The stand hangs it over the top of the monitor so that it is positioned in the perfect place.

This product is pathetic. It looks decent on some peoples machines, but not mine. Windows 7 64-bit. The worst thing about it is that IT DOESN'T WORK! I spend 20 minutes unplugging it and plugging it back in before just getting the thing to record! When I finally get it to record, I am so nervous that I screw up the recording! Ugh. I HATE this thing.I'd do a video review if the thing would work!!!

After reading the reviews, I was really excited to get this product.It showed up, I set it up (very simple) on a Windows XP box (2.4 Dual Core, 3 GB Ram), and gave it a try:Picture Quality:Awesome! Looked crystal clear. Took a few pictures with it & tried the web-cam feature. Picture looked great! The follow-your-face option was pretty cool too! Video's also looked awesome!Sound:Absolutely sucked! Had a terrible hiss with lots of background noise and sounded like I was talking into a tin can (a barely audible one to boot!).I tried numerous settings but it didn't improve the sound quality at all. Same hiss, same terrible voice pick up, same tin can sound to the voice.I tried plugging it into multiple USB ports (front of PC, back of PC, into the monitor USB port) but all had the same thing.Caveat:I plugged it into my MacBook Pro and the sound was perfect!Video was crystal clear too!My PC is a Dell Inspiron top of the line (stainless steel case) w/ a Dual Quad Core 2.4 GHz processors with 3 Gb of RAM, but I have a lot of things plugged into my USB ports. (Keyboard, mouse, dymo label printer, monitor USB ports, etc). My only guess is that with all those additional things plugged in, the USB lines had line noise that the mic was picking up on.I even tried relocating the camera to different places in the room near the computer to see if it was just picking up too much ambient noise (ie. computer hums & the like). No such luck. When plugged into the Mac in the same room, the problem completely disappeared.I really wanted this to work with my PC, but no such luck. Not sure if it's due to the PC being so old (going on it's 3rd year), or just too many things plugged into the USB ports, or just a bug with the Logitech camera itself (I even had the current drivers installed and updated).Video looked great though! Just wish the sound was equally as nice on a PC.Amazon was great about the return though.

Pros:1.Outstanding image quality - true HD 1080p, smooth motion, good natural color, good contrast and depth of field in all light conditions (slight color distortion in very bright light)2. Very good low light picture quality as compared to other web-cams in its class.3. Best built-in mic in any web-cam to date. The dual stereo mics. are almost as good as a good headphone mic.4. Low profile does not require desk-space like Orbit (although it allows you to set it on the desk not just on top of the monitor).5. Solid, sturdy high quality feel - good fit & finish (not lightweight plastic)6. Mounting features are simple & yet surprisingly versatile - good engineering Logitech7. True Plug & Play - software and hardware installation could not be simpler8. Good zoom, pan & tilt software implementation (within reasonable but limited range)9. Motion detection is reasonably good10. Adequate face following feature (a useful feature for video chat when moving around)Cons:1. The Face recognition application - "Fast Access" is a useful app but it is only 60 day trial version - no mention of price anywhere. Full disclosure would have been nice.2. Skype cannot handle HD video yet, but Logitech Vid will do 720p.3. Motion detection software needs improvement - eg: how long to record after motion is detected (note software allows control for how long to record motion, so if it detects continuous motion it will stop recording after the user specified time). I'd like to have the ability to specify how long to record after motion is detected (even if no further motion is detected)4. Bundled application suite could be better and more comprehensive to take this excellent camera beyond a basic web-chat cam realm.Summary:I am a tech savvy, longtime Logitech Webcam user - Logitech HD Pro Webcam C910 is by far the best to date. Image quality is outstanding, sound quality is the best of any webcam I have used. Installation and software is simple - true Plug & Play. IMHO Logitech HD Pro Webcam C910 is the best the industry has to offer as of September 2010.I cannot comment on video and picture editing software - I use other software and have no need for the bundled software.What would I have liked more? Imagine if you could use this webcam as an IP security cam. Imagine a security-cam application with remote web and hand-held (I-phone, Droid etc.)access and e-mail alert capability - wouldn't that be great - even a paid application would be welcome. Better still if you could attach more than one camera. What if you could control these webcams remotely through the internet. In other words, now that Logitech has developed such superb hardware; it is time for better software applications. Perhaps Logitech should consider an "App Store" to encourage independent software application development.

After trying a few things, between him and I we got the CD to load onto my computer where I completed the setup.The Logitech 1080p Webcam Pro C910 with it's wide-angle lens is capable of doing full HD 1080p video recordings and smooth HD 720p video calling with what Logitech calls Fluid "CrystalTM Technology." If you want to post your pictures or video to Facebook or YouTube, the Logitech 1080p Webcam Pro C910 makes that easy, because 1-click and your pictures and video are uploaded to Facebook and YouTube. Speaking of pictures, you can use your Logitech 1080p Webcam Pro C910 to take 10MP pictures because of the 5MP HD sensor and the precision lens that also has auto focus and intelligent auto light correction. Most webcams on the market today only use a single microphone, however the makers of the Logitech 1080p Webcam Pro C910 installed Dual built-in noise-cancelling mics so your friends can hear you in rich, clear HD-quality stereo. I ordered this for my legally blind girlfriend, who started collage classes. She wanted to take her own notes in class, but can not see the over-heard, or whiteboards.This webcam, having a zoom and 1080p resolution, should have solve the problem. It didn't.She has an 2011 macbook pro. Logitech completely dropped the ball. This webcam does not work, at all. I have tried it with 10.7.2, 10.7.3, and 10.6.8.In the both Lion and Snow Leopard the software installs, but thats it. It crash constantly. You can not record video or take pictures. In fact the only applications that that work are face time and skype. Period.After updating to the latest software from Logitech, there are even more issues. Skype no longer works, and facetime crashes.Make me sad, science I am huge fan of Logitech products.Useless.

As a Mac user I wasn't too sure this camera would work that good. But it did better than expected. The picture quality is superior and sharp. does decent in low light as well (At least for me)Works excellent with Skype calling. I'm very happy with it.

I bought this camera for the higher quality to use for Google+ hangouts. I'm happy with it in every way except one, that isn't necessarily the fault of the product.I use photojojo lenses for the iphone on my webcams too. They don't work very well on this webcam because the iris is actually behind glass. So when you apply the after market lens, you end up with a black ring on the image.Other than that, the camera works perfectly and functions as expected for my needs.Diary of a Body Painter

My daughter is serving as a nurse/missionary in a remote part of east Africa. Luckily she does have an internet connection, so you can imagine that Skype has become a big part of my life. I have tried a number of different camera/microphone setups, but have found this logitech unit to be the best. It produces smooth, sharp, brilliant video, it has an excellent microphone, and the noise cancelling feature works great. I am delighted with this product and would recommend it to anyone interested in taking the quality of their Skype connections to the next level.Pros:Smooth VideoBright ColorsSharp FocusExcellent microphoneEasy set upWorks well with SkypeCons:Have not found any yet.Excellent product!
