Got this to record interviews of job candidates for later review by others. Worked quite well, picture quality was very good and I was able to duct tape it to a tripod for stability. The angular positioner/holder works fine in a variety of situations. Sound quality was good in a few limited applications, but we primarily used a lapel mic instead of the built in microphone, so I can't really attest to the audio quality under a variety of conditions. I'd recommend this camera.

I use this webcamera only for Skyping, so I cannot speak to the other features. We used to have the basic microsoft webcam which costs $25-30 and is perfect for most people. However, for those who desire or even require better quality viewing, larger viewing angles, and auto-focus, this webcam is for you. For one, the quality is improved even on the same connection (before, we were using broadband and calling someone with DSL - the quality stinks on the MS camera but is slightly better on this one).That alone might not have been worth it, but now with Skype adding HD calling (for free!), when calling a broadband customer with yourself having a broadband connection on the most recent version of Skype, the quality is fantastic. On top of this, we were constantly adjusting the resolution for the old webcam. Now, the camera auto-focuses, which is a godsend. The focus starts out blurry but adjusts itself to the optimal resolution. The viewing angle is also increased by at least 25% or more, so that more people can sit closer within view of the camera without being obstructed.It clips on well and has some weight to make it sturdy. It can also sit up on a desk on its own or on top of a thick monitor without support, but I recommend clipping it to a thin monitor for the best viewing angles. It is also attractive and does not look ugly sitting on our monitor. Has an USB cord for plugging into the back of the computer, and draws its power that way.

Bought this camera to hook up to my tv in the living room so that my son could see his grandparents and other family members on the big screen with FaceTime. It works great as a FaceTime camera plugged into a Mac mini.Also downloaded an app called webcam settings from the Mac App Store that allowed me to zoom in and out and control a host of other settings. The only concern I had was with fastening the device to the television... But it doesn't have a fastener! It just sits properly by balancing the weight of the camera with a support arm. Perfect for the tv!Would recommend for anyone else wanting to create this setup.

I love this webcam in a pitch black dark room with only light coming from my monitors u can still see me like as tho light was on... the auto adjustment features in the webcam is very VERY GOOD.... but i can't believe that just after i purchase this the C920 came out just about a wk after that SUCKS -_-

Mounts on the computer screen at the top, seems to operate perfectly. Not my bag, this Skype, but the wife coos and gabbles at her infant grandson on it for half an hour about once a week. I don't know how the picture it puts out is, since it's 1000 miles away, but no complaints from the daughter.

BUT, the interface between adobe flash player and logitech software causes the image to be stretched vertically and squeezed horizontally. Some arcane problelm in the settings of one of the two. But, if you go to [...], AFTER you have interfaced and allow that website to turn on your cam, too, it undoes the deformation and your image again is beautiful.

This webcam was extremely easy to install - just plug it into your computer's USB slot, download the software (Mac users - for Windows it comes with an installation disk), open the application and you're pretty much set to go. Great for using with GoToMeeting by Citrix.

I got this for my Honey so she can do video reviews of merchandise she reviews. She loves how the cam follows your face and auto-focuses. It was a breeze to install and use. We highly recommend this webcam.

We bought this camera a few months ago to Skype with my folks who are sailing South America; and I am really glad I spent the money on this product. I've always been a bit of a Logitech fan for awhile, so me dropping $80 for another of their products didn't scare me. And yet again, it didn't disappoint.The GOOD: The picture quality is nothing short of AMAZING. Even when my folks are on a slow internet connection, our video feed to them is still better than any built-in cam on the fastest of internet speeds. I've also been playing around with some video record for fun, and for sites like YouTube, and WOW. One of my favorite features about this webcam, other than the quality, is how it reacts to light. I have been surprised how just how incredibly well it handles low-light conditions. I have used this in a dark room at night, and it picked up so much detail, that you would think I had a few lamps on around me. The installation was also quite easy, and shouldn't be difficult for even the lowest of computer skill level. The microphone is also very clear, with little to no noise. Picks up audio very well.The NOT SO GOOD: There isn't really too much negative about this product, other than a few personal gripes. The USB cable is decently long, but I would love at least another 4" of length. Also, the install disc comes with some additional software for video calls, that you could obviously choose not to install, but could be confusing to some people who might think it's required software, as it's kind of 'in-your-face' about it. I'm really kind of nit-picking, trying to find a negative here. lolOVERALL: I would highly recommend this product to anyone not on a budget, and for those of you who are video quality junkies, like myself. I am very happy with my purchase.

This worked right out of the box. I clipped it onto a 21-inch LCD monitor, installed the software, and when prompted, plugged it into the USB drive. I have been Skyping on my desktop ever since. Very easy to use, built-in microphone works very well, everything peachy!

Logitech HD Pro Webcam C910I bought this webcam to Skype with my daughter and family who live out of state. Before Skyping, I used the Logitech software to record 720P videos of myself and to take some self portrait still shots to see how they looked. The webcam pan, tilt and zoom functions work well but you must remember that you have to be zoomed in at least a little for the pan and tilt functions to work. The video clips and still shots are crystal clear and the autofocus works well. It wasn't apparent in the documentation, but when I began Skyping, the webcam started out by sending a 4:3 aspect picture, probably at 640 X 480 resolution, but in a few seconds, the Skype software detected that I had the webcam set at 720p and began to send video at that resolution. My daughter said that she was receiving a clear picture with clear audio. I read a review about the later model, the C920, and the reviewer said that the picture on the C910 was clearer. I'm happy with the C910.

Excellent video quality. Widescreen option. Somewhat lengthy installation process. Software needs periodic updates for camera to function normally. Relatively easy to use.

Fantastic HD for Skype, YM, Facetime, etc. Also takes videos and individual stills. Add an extension on it and you can use it to check up on your pet or family with your remote.

I purchased this camera with the intent to use it with my iMac, but experienced much difficulty getting it to work. After trying and failing to get the unit to work I did some checking on the Internet and found that I was not alone in having problems getting the iMac to recognize the remote camera. Calling the Logitech help desk was reassuring in that they told me even though the iMac design has a flaw when it comes to remote camera's, the camera still should work, but they could not give me the correct instructions to get it to work.After much frustration, I discovered that it was necessary to go to the Applications list and click on the Logitech file and open the file. Then it was necessary to 'Quit' the Logitech Webcam Software from within the file and then the camera would work. That does not make sense to this 60 year old mind of mine, but it does get the camera to work most of the time. Sometimes the built-in iMac camera shows up on the Logitech Webcam software display (?), but it can be removed by making the right selection of camera from within the file display.I have experienced some problems getting the camera to focus at times, but it does correct itself before long. Other than that, I find that the camera is working fine for my use. What I wish the camera had is a way to mount it on a camera stand (tripod). The design has multiple hinge points offering flexibility in placing the unit, but a threaded attachment screw housing underneath would be a nice addition to the design.

I have owned it for more than 2 years and I'm happy to report that it is amazing. Picture quality is great and Logitech software and support is amazing. Everything is easy to use and works as advertised. Couldn't be happier.

I've been using the built-in camera on my Asus UL30VT for Skype for the last 1/2 year or so when I learned that my outgoing video stream was pretty low quality on the other end of the conversation, so I decided to buy a new webcam for my Win7 x64 desktop PC.The Logitech c910 was very easy to install on Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate Edition with Skype beta version 5.7.0.123. The webcam also works with the current (non-beta) mainstream release of Skype 5 as of this review. Also, previous reviewers had noted that this cam was not Skype-certified, but it currently is and it's clearly labeled on the retail box it arrived in (and on Skype's website).Compared to the Asus laptop, the image quality of this cam is simply amazing; the sound quality and clarity is impressive as well. I have a 1.5 Meg ATT Uverse upload cap, and I was very concerned that the video feed from this camera would be auto-downgraded by the narrow upload bandwidth and Skype's transmission codecs, but I was pleasantly surprised by this camera's performance. It delivered 720p at a rate of around 13 frames per second, and/or 480p at a rate of 23-30 FPS, which is fairly impressive given my terrible upload speed restriction....This is just some feedback for people who are considering this web cam for Skype with narrow upload bandwidth, as this info was a little difficult for me to find when I was weeding through all of the other popular reviews for this equipment. I would presume that outgoing video and audio from this camera would be pretty decent with most of the other mainstream video chat clients as well, as Skype seems to be one of the more picky programs to work with hardware-wise.

I bought this web cam in 2010. This is a great camera, but I have been facing issues lately. Issues such as flickering of image, camera getting stuck. When I bought this product from amazon, I paid more to get a great quality but also to have durability. I believe this product is not durable. I hope my review after two years of using this product would be helpful for future buyers.

I'm using this webcam with my Mac Mini running OS X Lion. After downloading the Logitech utility from their website and a quick restart of the computer, I was up and running. I've been mostly using this cam for Ustream.tv. (My finance and I really need to see what our kittens are up to all day.) The cam I was using most recently before this was built into my ASUS Eee PC 1000HE. Lets just say that the jump in quality was astounding. From choppy low res video that performed horribly in low light, to crispy clear, smooth HD video that adjusts very quickly to any change in lighting with little loss in image quality.I've also used the cam for Skype with great results. The cam is on top of my TV, which sits about 10' from the couch. Everybody on the other end of the conversation has said that the audio quality is amazing. Even when I've wandered farther away, there's never been an 'I can't hear you!!' coming from the Skypee.I remember a time when 99% of webcams refused to work on the Mac and you'd have to get the iSight camera for it to work seamlessly. It's great to see that Apple and the webcam manufacturers have reached an agreement to support each other. Makes everyone's lives easier.

We purchased this a few months ago. It was well worth the money. I have it connected to our desktop monitor and we Skype with our daughter, son-in- law and Grandbaby. every week. Very convenient, since we can't get to see them very often. Camera fits well on the top of the monitor.

We purchased the Logitech Webcam because our daughter, son-in-law and one year old granddaughter had just moved to Arizona and we wanted a convenient way to video-chat. I have used a number of Logitech products in the past and always been pleased with their service so I ordered the HD Pro Webcam C910. The setup was no-brainer and took less than 10 minutes. It provides wonderful video and the built in stereo microphones are great. The included free Logitech Vid HD program is amazingly easy to use and we have already invited a number of friends and relatives to join us online for vid-chats and phone calls.We are in the process of moving my mother to come live with us in Florida. Based on the outstanding experience we have had chatting with the kids in Arizona I decided to do an early Christmas and sent cameras to my daughter, brother and my two sisters so we can have family video visits instead of phone calls. Everyone can talk to and see Mom/Grandma as often as they like! It is a much more intimate experience when you can see faces and expressions and really is the next best thing to a live visit. Since we are spread out from Ohio to Florida to Arizona and Utah it lets us spend time together that is a lot more fun and meaningful than a phone call.The Logitech HD Pro Webcam is an excellent, inexpensive and easy to use device and I heartily recommend it.

This is not my first webcam, but it's the one that actually works as advertised. Nice HD video, good sound quality, and the software makes uploading simple. I'm looking forward to using it more often now that my tests have shown that it's an easy and successful process.

I have bought C920 and C910. I think C920 is better. Reason (1) given similar image quality, C920 is cheaper. (2) C920 can be installed on a small tripod or support easily, since it has a hole in its bottom, while C910 can not. (3) C910 would amplify the object close to the camera, So if I raise my hand, a little bit ahead of my head, my hand would looks bigger than normal. (4) I like the image color of C920I first bought C920, love it a lot. The reason to buy C910 is that I want to have a try on different device and C910 can work in linux while C920 can not.
