I couldn't believe the difference this webcam made when camming with my family from over seas. I can them so much clearer now lol. I just realize all the detail I was missing out on.

This is a decent webcam for the price, lots of functionality but I am not overly impressed with the picture quality. For some reason the picture looks grainy on skype calls. It could be just skype because when I use it to make recordings the picture comes out fine. One good thing about this webcam is that its better than most cams that come with laptops. I also purchased a tripod Joby GP1-A1EN GorillaPod Flexible Tripod (Grey and Black) and attached an adapter to the webcam that works great. I wished the camera had a hole for tripods, but you cant have everything.

I'm very happy with the sound and video quality that I get from his camera. It's become my workhorse for videocasting! It even folds up small so I can travel with it.

I purchased this camera to use for skyping using a Mac Mini. It works extremely well. The picture is very good and have had no problems. We have been skyping our daughter who is currently in Asia.

Really good webcam. The picture quality is amazing with low level of grain. Picks up light very well and the motion is very smooth. Haven't used the mic a lot but the little I have it works well.

I purchased this product after reading online that it was the only compatible device with the Logitech Revue. It is not. After calling Logitech, we found out that Logitech HDTV Widescreen Video Cam is the only compatible webcam for it.

Worked exactly the way I wanted it to. Bought it for my wife's work PC so she could participate in video podcasts. Video quality was perfect for that.

Again, lots of research before purchasing for my wife. She has friends all over the wold she chats with. All of our old cameras where not supported after a Win7 upgrade. So we purchased this camera, great features, sound is good, autofocus is nice, pretty decent little package overall.

We have our webcam hooked up to a computer that was specifically built for and is hooked up to our 55" HDTV. We have a lot of family out of town and Skype with them a lot. We use it in the family room on the TV because with our toddler, it is much easier to let her run around the room than having to sit at a computer for any length of time. That being said, we were looking specifically for a wide-angle viewing area. We wanted to get as much of the room on the screen as possible. From the research I did, this camera has one of, if not the widest angle viewing area on the market. The microphone is uber sensitive. This thing sits on top of our tv and everyone in the room can be heard at a low level speaking voice. It seems to take a good 5 minutes before we notice the little box with our video feed expand from standard to wide-screen, but I think that has something to do with Skype and not the camera itself, but I can't be sure. It has a very similar user interface to our old Logitech Quick Cam S5500 which is quite user friendly, so there wasn't much of an adjustment with using this. I also believe it's a great value. There are a LOT more cams out there that are way more expensive that don't get near the good reviews of this one. As a bonus, it's a sleek little piece of equipment and looks nice on a TV or monitor, not some ball sticking out the top. I definitely recommend this webcam.

This is a really great webcam that I use often for a variety of reasons. The picture quality is very good and the easy-to-upload software makes creating a youtube video as easy as can be. I did a little video chatting just to test that function out and it worked great, although I'm not a major video chat kinda guy so I really shouldn't comment too much on that. Nonetheless, I've found a number of other uses that has really made this a favorite gadget of mine.Here's some of the things I love:10MP Pictures - I LOVE taking pictures with this camera. In full 10mp you can get some truly stunning, glossy images. I've never seen pictures look this crisp and clear, it's really amazing.Motion-detection "Security" - There's this great spy-like function where the camera will silently and anonymously turn on and start recording if it sees any kind of movement. Admittedly I haven't caught any intruders or ghosts or even snoopy roommates with it yet, but one day I will and it will be a wonderful Gotcha! moment.Upload to Youtube easily.- for youtubers, this camera is a perfect way to get those lip syncing videos online in a matter of seconds. I will say, however, that if you want to post a video that isn't an up-close rant, philosophy statement or whatever, this probably isn't the best video. The usb cord is fairly short, so you're not going to be able to use the camera like a movie director would. But this is a "webcam" so that really shouldn't be a surprise.Webcam "avatars"- There's a number of great "avatars" to give yourself. By calibrating your eyes, mouth, and head, you can turn yourself into an alien, cat, shark (among others) and the avatar will move its mouth and facial features along with the real you. From my experience the calibration isn't a perfect science and it doesn't look A-m-a-z-i-n-g, but it's a fun feature.Add in easy controls and typical webcam perks, this is definitely worth getting if you're interested in a webcam that does so much more. My only real complaint is that I've had some difficulties getting the audio settings right. It seems very inconsistent, as if it is turning itself off during each silence and takes a moment to turn back on when it hears sound again. If anybody knows what setting function I need to look into to fix this, please leave a comment.

The face following function is just amazing.Tech support is very cooperative.I love the mirroring function.It's easier to notice yourself on the screen because of this function.You'll know when you use it on conference and whatnot.One of the Top10 things I have ever bought on Amazon.com + Amazon.jpThe first package had two scratches on the middle of the lens,but Amazon was kind enough to replace it right away.Just connected the product on my Win7 Pro 64bit.Windows automatically downloads and installs all the drivers+controlling software from the web.I love it that there is an option that when you launch skype,you automatically have the controller software launch up on the front screen as well.Very handy and easy of use for the non-IT ppl as well.The camera also stands on it self so you do not need separate stand like the other model.This webcam tilts up&down manually, but not for panning left&right.You will have to do that with the controlling software.But the face following function will eliminate that process.Such a gem function, but it's only good for one person in the room.You should turn off the function when there are multiple ppl.Also, manually adjusting the position rather then using face-following function gives you better picture quality.You will not be able to use these special functions on 1080P video.You will need to adjust the brightness and other contrasts on your first use.It's too dark and blur at first on our surroundings, but you can enhance it to its best.Above was confirmed on our Windows. Haven't tried it on my Mac, but it's so much better than its built-in iSight.I was planning to write the review in few sentences, but look how much I love and got into it.5 Stars!

I did a lot of comparison shopping and this was what I ended up with. Yes, you can spend more money and get more product. But for what this cost, it is an excellent product.

Logitech comes through again with a high quality product that was easy to setup and works perfectly. And the price was right!Been using this with Polycom's VC software on a Win7 box and have had zero problems.

They advertise it as working with mac osx, but the software and drivers there suck. I've had nothing but problems with this on my 2010 snow leopard imac. The software is missing features compared to the windows version, and it's buggy. It crashes frequently. Sometimes I'll record a video and when it goes to render it stops after the first 20 seconds and even if it's a 10 minute video, the rest is just lost. I've tried many things to get this running well on mac osx all the way to doing a completely fresh install of the OS, updating all drivers and then installing the camera software without installing anything else. Still buggy.On the other hand, the camera seems to work really well if I boot into windows first.

This camera I had Great expectations for, it was compact , professional appearance, nice features, and the price was right.But upon connecting this to my computer everything nice I could say about it was gone.I have a home built computer using Windows XP Pro, an AMD Athlon XP3000+ processor on a SOYO Dragon Plus motherboard, 1 GB PC3200 memory, with a 1Gb Radeon HD 4600 graphics card.I also have USB 2.0 High speed PCI adapter card, that this camera was connected to.I wanted to use this camera to Skype with my Daughter while away at school. The camera itself worked fine with windows standard drivers, but all of the other feautres that this camera has were unuasable without the logitech software.This is where my problems began, the software would not install completly, it would crash my computer during its install.When I was able to get it to install by following Logitechs directions for a clean boot, the computer would crash while using the cameras features that I so badly wanted.Logitechs support was of no help looking for every out possible to blame but their own software.So after many hours of crippling my computer and total frustration , this camera is where it belongs in the garbage. I thought a company that produced what should have been a great accessory , would have verified its compatiablity and software better.

Everyone I connect with over Skype has told me that the picture quality is amazing. They all comment without prompting, "Did you upgrade your internet service because your video looks incredibly clear?"Nope, just the camera. I am very happy with it.

Upgraded from the Logitech C270 and i must say i am really really impressed. Nice autofocus feature, but kinda slow.. Like if you wanted to focus on something like your fingers(was testing it) you'd have to hold still for like 2, maybe 4 seconds sometimes. The video quality is awesome. I use it for skype and YouTube.
