If you need to use your drive without draining your battery, first turn on your drive while on battery power, when the 2 blue lights on the front are on plug in your WALL charger & the drive will continue to operate until YOU turn it off. This WILL NOT WORK if you use your computer to charge the drive.

This looks cool and works exactly the way it is described. Only 3 stars just because of the reason it gets very hot may be after 30 minutes. One more point to add when you take backup of pictures from iPad, it just copies instead of moving them. it is bit cranky though. I had bit rough time in moving videos from iPad to this.

I wish that I had known about this device before I ordered my Iphone. I would have saved so much money by getting this instead of larger memory on my phone. Very easy to use

I was hoping that this device would show up in my PC when connected to it, but it didn't work that way. The reason i was expecting this is because I hate having to use my usb every time to connect it to my pc and upload music to listen to in the car. i wanted to just drag and drop the songs to the device over wireless and not have to remove the hard drive. So i returned the drive. why dont they do a wirelss usb/bluetooth flash drive? Would be very helpful for the ones that use a usb in their cars.

With a 8gb Nexus4, this wi-drive is perfect for storing photos and movies. Keeps my Nexus from running out of storage. Transfers are easy and fairly fast. Movies run smooth, no jitters or freezing.

I should have known it would be too good to be true. Before you take advantage of this great price you may want to consider that, at the time of this writing, only three video formats are supported and these do NOT include AVI, MKV, or WMV. What's more for us is that it does not stream to OS X devices. Developers weren't thinking of the relatively small flash drive in the new Retina MacBook Pro. Our hope was to keep a Calibre library on the drive for use with one of two MacBooks kept in different areas of our home. Presently there is no app for the Mac.

Not much of a review, but its all it said it was. I bought it after reading the other reviews, and ended up buying three in total. One for my self, and the others as gifts. We're all happy with the drive, and the software is simple to work.I would give it 4.5 stars, a full five if it would connect a little bit faster.

when on the go or just sitting at home, its great to have all your files,movies,music handy at the touch of an app. share you files with up to 3 people at the same time(3 total) and yes this works with Android! i use this with my nexus 7 and its flawless. my ONLY complaint is that it cant be used while charging :(

I bought this drive for the sole purpose of transfering photos from my ipad to the drive while away from home/computer. I like to take a ton of pictures while on vacation. I also like to transfer them from the camera's memory card to the ipad for viewing. I wanted a wireless drive so that I could move the pictures from the ipad as a form of backing up the pictures and/or freeing up my camera's memory card as well as the ipad storage. I was very disappointed when I received the product and found out this was not possible, despite online videos and articles written about the device that stated otherwise.I returned the product to Amazon and received a full refund.

Item would not link with my iPad3 at first. Saw reviews here about that issue. Was about to return the item but did a iPad reboot first. To do a reboot: hold the "home button" and on-off switch untill the little white apple appears. Item now works as adverised. Will submit another review about the operation in a week or two.

I bought this because of the price and my Ipad is only 16GB. After initial battery charging, I dropped a jpg, mp3, mp4 and cbr comic book file on the drive and each one of them opened perfectly. Now I can travel with an entire season of my favorite TV shows, lots of music and photos.

Bought the first on the recommendation of my son who had gone through the reviews and product reports. Loaded all my digital movies up to take on a cruise and use on iPad with HDMI connection. Worked so well I bought a second for my work files, presentations and spreadsheets. I only wish I got the reduced price on the first that I got on the second! But a good deal and solid device! Most of all VERY Compact. Don't need to carry my MacBook or Net book for presentations. Everything can be carried in my iPad case! At this point in consumer technology, I expect items to work out of the box, and, if documentation is supplied, the documentation to be helpful. Neither was the case here. Plus, I wanted the drive for storage for photos on the ipad if I ran out of room. I couldn't figure out how to get that to work--most external storage devices allow you to copy files around without too much head-scratching. This product didn't do that. Maybe this is a solution for people watching movies together, but it's not a solution for a prosumer photographer who wants simple and reliable access to external storage on iPad. There's another, slightly larger manual on the web site, but that doesn't help either.

Perfect for getting files from PC to ios devices w/o using the cloud.nice wireless storage. Haven't used the multiple wifi connections for music yet.

Delivers as advertised.. there are only 2 drawbacks1. You can not use the device while it is charging (only a 3-4 hour battery life)2. It gets very hot while it is being used so be careful on where you store it.

I go this hoping to expand the capacity of my iPad and other then view or listen to files on the drive there is no way of moving things back and forth between devices. It was a HUGE disappointment.
