Using for movie watching on road trips. Works fantastic. The other great thing I love is not having to interface with iTunes to get movies on/off iPad, just drag and drop from pc/Mac to folder and you are good. Recommended to a few friends and we have all enjoyed our experience.

I got the Kingston Wi-Drive to use as a depository of work documents (MS word, Excel, pdf) that I could refer to whilst on travel or to off site meetings. Unfortunately the product is a complete disappointment.I loaded 4GB of data on the Wi-Drive. The first time, it took more than 20 mins to load on the ipad. The seoncd time it took more than half an hour.....who has this amount of time to wait, especially when you're at the client meeting and about to make a presentation!!Very disappointing. Also the unit did not work as a "bridge" with my home wifi. My team and colleagues were about to follow my footsteps and pruchase the Wi-Drive. Sorry to say their hopes have been dashed. We're back to the drawing board to research for a better product that will serve our needs.

I'm not really a high tech nerd or anything. I got this to store music on to save my cpu some space. It did the trick. I dont use the wi fi part of it.

Despite the app upgrade to alleviate a problem with showing movies from the Kingston device on an iPad 3, we still had to go to an Internet address to watch a movie. I hope this problem will be fixed to make the process easier because this device allows iPad users to carry around a huge volume of music and videos in a small package, and thus, extends the iPad's capacity. Great idea!

I debated between this and the Seagate wireless drive. I decided on this one, although 32GB may not be much for some. For me it is the perfect size. The drive is slightly smaller than my Ipod Touch 4G and light as a feather. Connection to the drive was a breeze, however, please be aware if you have a wireless connection at home this may run interference and take devices a bit of time to connect. I had to reset my Kindle Fire twice to finally connect and see the videos. The great thing is that I don't have to modify video file in order to play them. However the app is not able to stream avi files. Therefore to prepare I used a video program to bulk convert everything to a mp4. If you are looking to conduct file transfers between devices, this is not for you. Overall I am satisfied as this is be used on road trips.*On a side note, I can confirm that if you connect to the device, then plug it in the charger it will stay connected and charge at the same time. Key is to connect first and have a file running.

This is great for playing movies, music on devices that don't have a USB adapter and limited storage. Works on up to 3 devices with an app. Proved very handy on recent very, very long flight and stay in area without wireless connection.

I am not a computer whiz, this was easy for me to use and a great add-on for my ipad. Wi-Drive is used for my movies so I may take many on the road...

Easy to use and very versatile .. Product looks, feels like quality device. Handy to keep along with iPhone and iPad, especially for long airplane trips. Also functions as an external USB drive if needed.

I would strongly recommend this item for anyone for any device with WiFi capabilities. I have a couple and now store movies on it as well as my portable hard drive. Connects every time and all the time.

It is nice to be able to wifi a file to my ipad but the drive has half the drive file with some read only side so not happy there but i got it on sale so for what i payed i am happy

These drives work great! I kept running out of room on my Ipod touch and got tired of deleting and adding stuff. I bought two of the 32gb drives and they work brilliantly! Setup is fairly simple if you follow the directions...........

I purchased the "NEW" product. But I received an used product. It consists of files with "Mal/Conflicker-A" virus in the Recycle bin. Please do not buy any product from this shop. It is not an honest company, sale the used product as a new product.

cheap alternative to extra storage, took a few tries too get an app which worked well on my nexus7, now very happy. Would highly recommend

Worked as expected both with Nexus 7 and iPhone, and iPad.it is tricky getting the pass through to work and the instruction should be better on this point

I really like the Wi Drive, it's a handy convenient product to take with you on trips, and has more than enough storage space for the longest flights imaginable. Downside - it gets HOT and will shut down if turned on in your pocket. Kinda scary the first time, and I will the battery would last a bit longer, but still good for 6-8 hours of play time.

A good product for the price but the app for the Kindle has some issues. The drive does not appear right away and you will find that you have to disconnect and connect again to get it to show up.

I would say this is a very good product and well worth the price I paid for it. It would be a 5 star product it the battery life was in the 7-8 hour range, rather than the 3-4 hour range. The instruction manual that came with it was a bit lacking. However, I found that the manufacturers web site had more complete manuals, including one written specifically for the Kindle Fire that was excellent. The internet pass through works very well. Once connecting to the Kingston Wi-Drive I can access it's content, and the internet with no problems. I loaded several video (MP4)files on there and they stream so well I can't tell any difference in quality from the ones that are loaded on the Kindle Fire itself. An added benefit to loading MP4 videos on it is that I can stream them to my 8GB Ipod touch also. This Wi-Drive and the Ipod touch are almost exactly the same size, and I can fit both in my shirt pocket at the same time with very little weight. I have seen speculation that Kingston is planning on releasing a 64GB model. I am hopefull that they will somehow incorporate a higher capacity battery, and even if it's a little larger I will order one.

My wifi was broken and by the time I tried this item it was too late to return it. I'll probably just throw it out. Ive tried it on various computers, and nothing. Zilch. It's like it doesn't even exist. Completely and utterly a scam item IMO. I tried reaching out to customer service once and that was a waste. Don't lose your money like I did, completely avoid this item if you actually want to store information.

The product I got originally was defective but after calling Costumer Service and trying on line to fix the problem I was asked to return the memory and very promptly I got one which works properly.I had 30 Gb. of Mp3 music to store. In order to be able to play it in my IPad I had to create 8 files since in 4 files the IPad was unable to read the songs. This is just a minor inconvenience but otherwise the product seems to ve veri good after this firs week of use.

I pulled out the Wi-Drive to show my two buds how I could hook it up to my Kindle Fire. Within 5 minutes they had downloaded the Wi-Drive app to their Android phones. Simultaneously I set up a hot point from the Wi-Drive, and we all connected without a hitch. I set up proxy access to the web via my home WiFi network. I streamed a movie to my Kindle Fire; they streamed two different songs to their phones. We tested Internet access and all of us got out no problem. It all worked flawlessly with almost no effort to set up. I'll bet a dog has enough brain power to set this thing up ! Setup presents no worries for humanoids.I'll be crossing the Pond to Munich (a 14 hour flight) at end of summer. I plan to load up the Wi-Drive with a bunch of movies and bring a few battery boosters to extend the play time of the Kindle Fire/Wi-Drive duo. It's a winning combo with the added advantage of generic Android access using the same free app intended for the Kindle Fire.I would have preferred that the Kindle Fire had 64G internal or a micro SD slot. It doesn't. But for $100, the added 32G from the Wi-Drive is very sweet indeed.

Just checked on this item now and found it to be for only 60 bucks! After my big goof of buying the cheapest iPad, I thought I'd give this a try as I wanted to be able to watch some of the stuff (like downloads from youtube) I couldn't fit on the iPad itself. Even an old-fogey of a techophobe like myself was able to figure out how to use this (nothing short of a miracle really!)-- but I suggest you check some of the very informative reviews here or the Kingston homepage. Anyway, I bought this 6 months ago for about 30 dollars more and felt that I had gotten a good deal then.

I can not say enough good things about this wireless hard drive!I am going to buy one more of these so my kindle can have one by itself so I can have my books in one place!Pros:1. Worked with both my iPhone, iPad, and my kindle fire.2. Was able to stream movies between all my devices at the same time. The response time is awesome!3. was able to use plug and play so I had no problems moving files to it.Cons:1. When trying to play music from the file I encountered a bug in the software. The music I stopped playing would start back once I stopped paying a movie.2. A little slow when starting the drive back up due to the drive warming up the wireless link, but once it starts it is great.3. The drive gets very hot so that makes me want to not keep the drive running for a long time.All the cons aside I think this is a good investment to expand my hardware since there is a very limited choices in external hard drive that are portable and wireless.I hope this helps!
