As an owner of the S95 (ie previous model) there was an expectation that this upgrade model would be better and it is. It handles a broader contrast range without whiteing out and generally performs well under a wider range of photoshoot conditions. Worth the upgrade for the better quality pictures (and S95 was good).

I've used this printer for about 6 months now and it has been flawless. Followed the installation instructions and had no problems with the wifi setup. I've used it as a fax machine, copier, scanner and printer and have had no issues at all. Looks nice too. All of the feeders fold up so it is a very neat and compact design.

My roommate and I needed someone to help us set it up, but it was easy to him if that's worth anything. It prints quite fast but the printer itself is huge. It came with 5 photo papers which I immediately used and was quite surprised at how high-quality the prints were. I will not be using it any further for such purposes, however. I haven't used the scanning/faxing functions yet, either. Nor have I set up the wireless connectivity because that seems like too hefty a task for me to complete. By the way, we use Macs and it is definitely Mac-compatible.

Mine died after 2 weeks. Lense will not retract and I get an error message. It was never dropped or anything. Sent it back.

I purchased this printer when my stand alone scanner died and I needed to replace it. I was concerned that the wireless set up would be a pain, but there was no problem connecting either my or my wife's net book. Our desk top computer uses the USB connection and also works just fine. The print speed and quality (including photos) is at least as good as that of the HP printer we replaced, and envelopes print much more quickly. Scanning and copying are fine. I have not faxed anything yet as I just attach scans to emails.

Before paying $555 for the S100 consider the S95 currently selling for less than $300 (here as of 12/15/2011)or waiting and paying $429 with Amazon Prime. If you can live without 24mm at the wide end, 1080 video and GPS the S95 is a great camera at a bargain price.

Ideal for my little home operation. My HP 5550 gave up on me.I wanted another like it. Couldn't find one, so I opted for this Canon Pixma MX 410. It is wireless and a lot of fun to watch doing its thing.

I just finished installing this printer and am super happy with my choice. This is the third printer I've tried to install/use recently and the only one that delivers the results I desire. The first was a Kodak model that only printed two pages and never printed again. The second was a HP given to me by a friend that I later found out isn't compatible with Windows 7. Enter the Canon. I had the whole thing unpacked, installed, and printing in less than an hour and I am not a tech-savvy person. I'm really happy with the b/w print quality as I'm starting grad school next month and this is what I'll use the most. I highly recommend this printer for anyone needing a quality home/small office all-in-one printer.

This is a great camera! It is very solid, it doesnt feel cheap like other small cameras. The pictures are extremely clear and colorful. I was surprised at how fast it takes pictures!

Got my Canon S100 four days ago. Kind of the purchase inspired by my roommate... I intended to buy a Canon ELH300, but I was told that S100 has a much bigger sensor and produces high-quality image. But in fact it does NOT! I took several test shots yesterday on a trip to Springfield, IL. The image quality is so bad.... I could not believe that Canon has made such a horrible product....

I love this camera. Others have been more eloquent/knowledgeable on the topic - I just wanted to share my experience with Win7 64-bit. I was having problems getting my camera to be recognized by Windows 7 - until I read the manual & found that the problem was that I was using a USB port on my monitor. As soon as I plugged it in directly to the PC, it worked great!

I broke my own rule, never buy unless you read some reviews. This is probably the only printer I have EVER had issues with. The software is bugged, the drivers and software from Canon's web site are bugged. Thankfully I have the receipt because it is going back, I only wish I had paid a little less money for it so I could run it over with my truck then set it on fire. Good job Canon, I want three hours of my life back.

I'm fairly tech-savvy, so I tend to gloss over instructions pretty quickly. Don't do that with this printer. The instructions are very specific, and if you follow each step carefully during set up, it will work perfectly. Took me a couple of tries to figure that out. Also be sure to remove each and every piece of orange tape used to protect the various parts during shipping. There are many.Once I got it up and running, printing and scanning are working well and the quality is good. The best feature is the ability to scan from the control panel and have the resulting file land on the PC (or through that PC, network location) of your choice. Extremely cool. Wifi printing works perfectly.

The printer is worth the money. The wireless aspect was easy to begin and it is very convenient. The one bad thing that I do not like and was mentioned by other reviews is how loud the printer is. It is not unbearable, but it is rather annoying at times, at least for me. However, every else works well and the ink is really affordable. On Amazon I found ink for $13 and $15 for black and color respectively. The last thing that bothered me is that it takes a bit of time to scan something, but many printers have this problem. Over all I like the MX 410 and would recommend it.

I got this camera the day before I left on a weekend trip.About 80% of the photos are blurry, on automatic setting. This is my fourth Canon digital camera, since the Powershot S50 years ago. I know how to use a digital camera, but the focus time required on this one takes ages. I'm hoping Amazon will take it back.

This Printer came with the economy cartridges. If you refill the cartridges It will not work unless you buy the new cartridges. The cartridges have inbuilt chip which records the ink level. If you refill the cartridge it will not allow you to print until you reset the chip in the cartridge. Either you find the way to reset the cartridge or you buy something else.

I got this machine. I followed each step. It failed to setup for WIFI and everything else. I tried again. Nothing. I'm thinking about returning it. I don't have time in my life for difficult setup. I need a machine I can use the same day I buy it. This setup is way too difficult. I spent 3 hours on trying to get it working and still can't do anything.

This is the first $100 printer I've owned (I usually spend $200-300), so I wasn't expecting much. I'm very impressed so far. I've had it for 3 weeks and there's been no glitches. It took us about 5 hours to get the wireless part going, hence the 3 stars for ease of connectivity. It ended up being my wireless router setting (I had to change it to WPA2-Personal) and then it was smooth sailing. I have no idea where I got the idea to do that, somewhere along the way I read it but after 5 hours I can't remember where! Once I changed all the laptops to that setting it was a very easy setup. Prints as fast as the MX700 I had. Print quality is fine for what we need it for (misc. household documents, kids homework, etc).Update: Had this printer for 2 years now and still going, no problems. I've gone through several laptops since buying this and have had no problems hooking up the new ones onto this printer.

I've only had this printer a few days, but have really loved it. The scanning was a nice upgrade from my previous printer/scanner. It's really a nice looking printer as well. Easy to use. Great purchase!

Essentially plug and play with Win7. So much better than the Hewlitt Packard that I was happy to throw in the trash as it was a constant problem with Win7.Microsoft has a web site that lists hardware that is totally compatible with Win7, and this item was on the list. My Dell Photo 926 was NOT on the list, and I had to download and install a patch to get it to work.The lesson is when you change to a new operating system by MS, by purchasing a new computer, better go with a new printer and other hardware that MS reports is completely compatible on it's website. Saves a lot of hassle.

Printer was unpacked; assembled; installed and running with all 4 features working in less than an hour. Installation instructions were easy to follow and the printer immediately identified my wireless network. Simple as well as detailed manual can be downloaded from disk provided. Copy quality is great!I love this product and HIGHLY recommend it to anyone.

A bit bulky but better than the HP I had before it. Canon customer service is also in the USA with people you can really talk to. No script, no trouble understanding anything you say. No complaints here.

This is my first wireless printer it works great on my windows vista laptop. And on my Mac mini. The setup was easy. The setup program said you needed to connect a network cable to set up the wireless connectivity I did not know what they ment so I called canon and they said the network cable the program was talking about was really the USB cable it came with. They should have said connect the USB cable it would have been easer to under stand I hope this helps some people out when they go to buy this printer. This printer prints great in color and in black. I could not have asked for a better printer for the price.

I researched wireless printers for some time, reading up on other's experiences, costs and features.This one does what I need. It was relatively easy to set up and works like a charm with my home wireless network, making it simple for the whole household to access it.It is bigger than I had realized!

Totally awesome printer. Came in well packaged and was extremely easy to set up. The ink cartridges are the best, so adorable and there's only two, so no more spending $80 just to restock the printer. Now it's about $14 per cartridge, which is perfectly fine since I don't use a printer often. It's a gorgeous machine and the wireless install really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, though I would have preferred AirPrint capabilities, as I have a MacBook Pro. Prints great, crisp and clear. The colors are vibrant. You really can't ask for more.tl;dr: fantastic printer for $80. A truly stellar machine. If you have any doubts, don't. Just buy it!

Buy, as I like Canon, it got good reviews. I run windows xp< still most used OS, but the 64 bit version.So, plug it in get it hooked up. Will not work with this OS, must go get driver. WHAT? Would not buy again.

I was a little intimidated at first to set up this wireless printer because this was my first time. But once I started it all went smoothly. I had no problems connecting to my network or getting documents to print. The quality of the printing and the overall quality of the printer is exactly what I expected! I have no complaints!!

I bought this for my parents who aren't very tech savvy, so I needed something that just works. They had a HP prior to this one, and it was constantly popping up error notices and causing them to have to reboot their computer. Maybe part of that was because they have a Mac... although that shouldn't make a difference.Anyway, the Canon works great. They've had it for a few weeks and there have been no glitches, error messages or forced reboots. They really only use it for printing and an occasional copy, so I can't comment on the other functionality.So if you're looking for a reliable, easy to set up, inexpensive printer, this is a great choice.

Out of the box took me about 35-45 minutes to set up wirelessly and most of the time was just watching it install to my computer. Really easy setup compared to other wireless devices I have used. A novice would not have any problem setting this thing up. The wireless scanning and printing makes my life a millions times easier. Have had it a week and have not have a problem yet.Printing speed is nothing special.Scanning speed is much quicker than my old printer. Same with copying.Overall, it is a great printer for $80. It does everything and works well.

I truly used to hate canon printers but thought I would give them one last try based on the reviews for this product. And I am glad I did. I had it set up with wireless, scanning, printing and copying in less than 30 minutes. I don't have a landline so I am not using the fax function. It was so easy. The printing is crisp. I like that it has a color cartridge and a black cartridge. Not 5 cartridges like my old canon. I am very happy with this printer and would recommend it to others. That is coming from someone that used to hate Canon, was ready to throw my old Canon out a window and is now a convert.

Don't know how the printer works yet as I've been dealing with the horrific set up of it half of the day. Can copy and print and from email but still can't get a photo to print. I've set up many printers over the years and I think the manuals and instructions are terrible if everything doesn't set up perfectly. What a nightmare. I hate this thing already.
