I have had this printer for over six months and am very pleased. I don't use all the functions available on it. I wanted just a reasonable basic printer and this one met my needs. The cartridges are priced okay as well and I do buy the XL cartridges for it.They last about thirty percent longer than the standard cartridges.

I purchased this since I work from home but do not have room on my desk for my printer and I wanted to place it too far away to use a cord. It was easy to setup and very user friendly.

This camera is great!! I can't say enough good things about the camera and the software. This camera is realiable and just great. Any camera from Canon is great and this S100 replaced an old Canon that we had for many, many years. Buy, you'll love it. Easy to use, easy to share and easy to transfer pictures with the software.

First, this model is under a Canon factory recall due to a manufacturing defect.The defect renders it inoperable.I contacted Canon. They confirmed the recall and told me I would have to pay postage to return it.The recall was not disclosed by Amazon which is disappointing.Second, Canon doesn't provide a printed user manual. The manual is supplied in pdf form.This is neither an inexpensive nor an entry level camera.The thought of having to reformat and print the pdf just to have a manual to carry in my camera bag is also a disappointment.Sorry Cannon. Two strikes and you're out. I'm returning it.

I got this camera after selling a bulky Nikon DSLR. I wanted something with good picture quality and pocket-sized. I have to say that I am impressed by every photo. My husband and I will take a photo, glance down at the preview and just say, "Wow". The photos are bright and crisp. The camera itself feels great to hold, feels expensive and works great. I am so glad I got this camera, its perfect for us.

Incredible point and shoot camera. The price here compared to other sites like best buy and newegg can't be beat.Pros:-Pictures are clear and look amazing. Even in high or low lighting.-HD video recording.-I like the ability to manuall control the ISO.-The butons and overall fell of the camera is great. I like the way it feels in my hands.Cons:-So far just the battery life.-You need to buy a second battery.

I bought mine from Best buy and was sent to Philippines as a gift. After few months of using the lens error appears and I ask them to mail it back to me. I then brought it back to best buy and they gladly accept it for free repair (under the 1 year warranty). After a couple of weeks I got a call from Best Buy that Canon is unable to repair it but they will just refund me.Other than that the camera captures really nice low light pictures. It could have been a great camera.If you like to travel a lot and sometimes go the places with humid temperatures it is better to get the right piece of equipment.

Biased reviews submitted by Amazon or Canon have given this product 4 -5 stars. The reviews do not reflect the product quality, value or performance. Because this product is defective it is likely being sold to customers in efforts to clear the inventory of bad product.I purchased this unit by using FIA World Points, so it was basically free...and it is worth what I paid for it...nothing. I found this Canon product is not at all capable of being wireless. Since discovering this I have searched online for feedback about the problems I was encountering. As a result, I found customers all over with the same problems PLUS this item being sold at Walmart online for under $80. What does that mean?!?!? No wireless printer, scanner, fax that is worth anything sells at that price.It's junk!I hope you find this among the sea of rave reviews that have been submitted to cover for the failure of this product. That means Vine.com and others that are only submitting reviews to pump up the customer rating. Amazon has created a new venue for it's vendors to sell and promote products...it's called customer reviews.I also would suggest thinking twice about purchasing this product online because returning it will be nothing but a nightmare.

Bought this camera a month ago at Best Buy, I hate those long reviews so here are my thoughts:Pros:- Image quality with 1/1.7" sensor are amazing- Low light images astonishing most of the time- Full manual controls, very customizable on P and M modes, Raw- Amazing body texture, feels great and doesn't scratch easely, perfect grip- Small size really pocketable, the smallest compact-enthusast on the market- Full HD video with zoom while recording- 24mm amazing for landscapes and indoorCons:- Video is jumpy beacuse of the 24fps, would be great to have a 30fps or 60fps on next generation. I could not use the camera to make movies while walking, as I usually do on trips, gonna use my Sony TX-100V for videos unfortunately.- Zooming on video is really slow, but understandable.- Aperture at the end of zoom f5.9 is horrible, at low light make images noisy and have a weird color. I would prefer a 4x zoom.- Pop-up flash is annoying, right where my finger stays...- The auto mode sometimes doesn't get the picture right...- Flash cano note be adjusted, causing too bright pictures at night in the auto mode.- Focus is not good in lots of the photos...Update 16/04/12:After a month using, the S100, I can say that the camera is flawed. Serius auto focus issues, auto mode doens't get the picture right in lots of photos. Also, the colours are not vivid... I believe that a firware could fix those problems, it could be the perfect pocket camera.

This camera is perfect for those who want quality photos without having to bring a huge DSLR. It is everything that reviews say it is, except that its motor on the lens gets stuck every now and then because of factory defect. I sent this to our local Canon and they fixed it free of charge however I wish it did not act that way because the camera had to stay with Canon for more than a week (if parts are available). I am disappointed that for such quite an expensive piece of equipment that it is such a lemon. :(

I loved this camera for about three weeks (5x zoom,raw format, great pocket size). Then in a little less than 4 weeks, 10 days into my trip, the camera began to fail. The camera sometimes wouldn't turn on, when it did the lens would not retract, wouldn't turn off. I was traveling in hot/humid Hong Kong, Macau, & Hanoi going in and out of A/C spaces. Condensation apparently form on the inside of the camera. It was never rained on, exposed to liquids, etc. The few times it worked, the images produced continued to be very good. By time I returned to the USA and shipped the camera in for repairs corrosion had formed. Canon service said that the warranty did not cover this damage. BTW my Olympus EPL1 going through the same conditions never had a problem. I take extra care of my cameras when taking them between extreme temperature changes, but I have to question the durability of S100 in the conditions I described above. The conditions I was working in were not extreme, but I did have to monitor the fogging of the lens and LCD on both cameras.

I'm a college student on a budget, but I still wanted something that would help my preserve the memories. I found the Canon Powershot S100, and I could not be happier! For only around $300 you will get a feature packed camera that takes beautiful clear photos. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a simple point and shoot that takes high quality photographs.

This line has always been solid. I had been considering a used S95, but when the S100 went on sale, I couldn't resist. I'm a semi-professional photographer, so while I have many other cameras, this is the one that stays with me.

I'm replacing an HP PhotoSmart C4240 printer/scanner that I've had for years and love--and this printer does everything that one does and much more for about the same price I paid for the old one! It's much larger than the HP, but the top-loading copy/scanner allows me to stick this printer on a shelf without having to leave too much head room.First off, the documentation sucks. Unlike most manuals, which separate instructions by language, the Getting Started guide puts English and Spanish instructions together on each page, which makes navigation more cumbersome (and page-turning) than necessary. To add insult to injury, Canon forgoes printed documentation for everything but installation and troubleshooting and instead installs that on the computer. If you like electronic documentation, this is fine. If you want a quick reference you can pull off a shelf or, worse, you don't have a Mac or Windows computer, this leaves you without documentation.Installation isn't too bad, but setting up wireless printing requires connecting the printer to a Windows or Mac computer and running the installation software. Linux users are simply out of luck here and will have to use a supported computer to get wireless printing up and running. The print drivers are available online, though, and I was able to get my Linux computer connected and printing fairly painlessly.Wireless printing is awesome! I live in New York City, which means I have roommates, and it's nice to let everyone on my network have access to the printer without having to plug directly into the printer. I also like having the ability to have other non-computer devices, such as mobile phones and tablets, print directly to the printer.What I really love about this printer, though, is the multi-document scanner. I can drop a stack of up to 30 pages into the document feeder, plug a thumb drive into the USB port on the front of the printer, start scanning and come back when it's done. My initial speed test resulted in about 5 pages per minute and that went into a PDF file on the thumb drive. Considering that my last printer required me to scan one page at a time (remove page, put another on the scanner bed), anything automated is faster and having it default to a PDF file makes this printer a godsend!I can't vouch for the fax capabilities simply because I rarely use faxes and when I do, I use Internet faxing services.

This is my 3rd Canon digital camera in 9 years. Is that a knock or endorsement that I keep coming back to the same well?ENDORSEMENT!!!!We have kids and an active lifestyle. It's amazing that our cameras last as long as they do!When you want a dead simple, straight forward, pocket sized point & shoot, look no further. Each new model brings better resolution, battery life, and speed.My wife and I both have iPhones with decent cameras but they don't compare to a dedicated 12+MP camera.

I am not going to dwell on the all the good points- that has pretty much been well said before. I will emphasize that I have been buying Canon happy snaps (and Nikon SLRs) forever. Without a doubt, this is the best compact camera out there. My pics are super sharp, well exposed and the manual ring surrounding the lens is great for on the fly adjustments. My only complaint really annoys me, though- the pop up flash. On my previous Canon happy snaps, the flash was built into the body and was stationary. So you got a little red eye now and then, so what? Easily fixed in iPhoto or whatever. On this camera, the flash pops up by itself, automatically, unless the camera flash is set to 'No flash'. My problem is that I hold the camera with two hands, and my index finger on the left hand always rests on top of the flash. I am trying to train myself not to turn on the camera with my finger resting where it normally does. I fear that the little motor and gears that pops the flash up are doomed to break, rendering the flash useless. Aggh. Why didn't they put the flash where it used to be!

I have a heavy camera that I don't take out to family gatherings because I don't want to look like the official photographer, but this camera does all that a regular DSLR camera can (well almost all) and its small and compact. The only issue is the battery runs out fast, so you will either need to carry two and/or carry your charger with you. Also, you have to remember that the flash comes out on the left side, but after you get used to it, it all works out fine.

My camera is useless after the dreaded lens error. Canon offers to fix the defective camera but makes you pay for shipping. They should replace NOT repair since the lens is defective. Wish I would have known about this long standing problem.

Compact, powerful and gives a good shot every time. I had the S95 and upgraded to the S100 -- not much difference in the menu options, but still...the camera definitely does not disappoint. Quick shutter speeds, great videos, pics are crisp. Takes a little bit to walk through the menu to understand all the available settings, but that's a one-time learning curve.

A nice point and shoot pocket size camera.I was looking for something smaller than my DSLRs to carry around. The S100 is a good blend of lens range (24-120mm) and speed. The image quality is better than most all other pocket cameras. I thought the silver color had a less "Pro" look to it and would reflect more heat than the black version. When it was a Black Friday Special I jumped on it.

This has the same sensor and full manual features of the larger G line. It can save photos in RAW format and balance a fill flash. One of my favorite features is the timer more that lets you shoot 10 shots at a time, so you don't have to keep running back and forth to the camera. All this in a pocket sized camera, makes it amazing.
