I lost my old Canon that I had for 2 years and had to buy another one. Once I started using Canon Powershot S100, I was almost glad that I had lost my old Canon Powershot because the S100 is just so good. It's so easy to use it to take great pictures under almost all lighting conditions. Startup is fast. User interface and options are typical Canon, and easy to figure out. I am very happy with S100.

This is a great printer and is the second one that I have bought. I bought my first one for work and liked it so much that I bought a second for home. It is very easy to use and produces great documents as well as photos. I love the document feeder that allows me to make hands free copies and scans. When scanning several documents, just load them in the feeder and run the Cannon Management software from the desktop and the unit will scan each page and put them all in your scan folder as individual documents. From there you can print, email or save them to another folder. The only negative thing I can say about this printer is that the paper input tray could be a bit larger for office use but other than that, I have no problem with this unit.

The Canon S100 is not exactly the best BANG FOR THE BUCK when compared to the Sony ILC. For just an additional $70, ($500 as of today on Amazon's merchant partners), I could grab the NEX-C3 w/ its low-light pancake f/2.8... with FULL APS-C sensor. Still small enough to bring anywhere! Better pictures, features (like panorama), & video capabilities, even. Oh yes, the flexibility to change the lens in the future.After reviewing cropped pictures of the s100 (at f/2.0) & the nex-c3 (w/ e-mount lens pancake f/2.8) with iso set at 6400, the difference is night and day. The nex-c3 retains picture details while still controlling noise... while the s100 produced washed out images. So imagine the nex-c3's performance in lower iso's. TRULY REMARKABLE for the given price.

No doubt that this printer is a loss leader for the manufacturer. It's a great value if you just want to scan stuff, and print something once in a long while.Then you realize that you're basically paying for a piece of technology that will hook you into buying ink cartridges. Small ink cartridges. With colors that you may or may not need. A month or two later, I've printed very modestly (or maybe that's just in my head) and now I'm looking at buying ink.Here's to hoping eventually someone will realize that there's a substantial segment of the population that doesn't want or need high resolution, just want things to work and continue to work without having to buy ink all the time. Maybe the whole "scam" part is more an industry symptom than the fault of Canon.

I donated mine to goodwill after six months. I really wanted to take a hammer to it in the front yard. If the magenta ink is "low" it beeps every fifteen minutes until you fill it. If the magenta ink is out, it will not scan an image, recieve a fax, print in black and white or do ANYTHING except beep CONSTANTLY until you fill it. I got about 15 - 25 of horrible print quality pages out of it before at least one of the naggy ink became "low".Yes, it was cheap. I should have known better.

I was skeptical about this case b/c there is no information on the Canon website. Apparently, it is an official Canon product and fits the S95 perfectly. I don't understand why it is so cheap ~$10? It's a 2-piece leather case which allows the bottom piece to stay on while shooting (my personal preference). If anyone has any context on why this case is not more widely available / more expensive, I would be interested to know.I feel this style of case is superior to the Canon PowerShot PSC-900 Deluxe Leather Compact Digital Camera Case (Black). The only drawback per a previous reviewer - the quality of the leather is not up to par with the PSC-900. For the price and 2-piece style, I'm not sure there is a better case for the S95.

Splendid!!! Product is exactly as described in both the technical and the product details session. The printout, scanned docs and picture quality are marvelous. It print pictures as exactly as is shown on the camera or the computer.Highly recommended for use.The set up is a bit difficult (especially the wireless) but the manual is great. If well read before setting -up, then its a lot easier. The descriptions and steps in the manual are exactly for the printer.

The quality of the pictures is great, however Canon chose not to send a printed user manual with the camera. That's right. You're paying $400-500 for a camera and they won't even provide an extremely necessary user manual. I find this borderline offensive. What kind of cheapie maneuver is that. Even a $100 camera comes with a printed user manual. This camera is complex and has a lot of features requiring a rigorous read of the user manual. You're only option is to sift through the PDF user guide on the included CD-ROM and get a headache.....

i have the s95 and decided to get the s100. upon comparing shots with both of them, the s100 has a greenish tint/hue to the pics. this is even true when you do a manual white balance. with auto white balance, you either get a greenish tint or a very yellow/brown tint when zooming in. the s95 has a very natural real color to it, with both auto and manual white balance. also, with the s100, even after doing a manual white balance and then manually tweaking the white balance, in the 24mm shots, there is no way to get rid of the greenish tint. i am returning the s100.Update 11/6/11: Switched the sd card out from the s100 and put that same sd card in my s95. no greenish tint on playback! thus i believe that the s100 does not take pics that are greenish, just the s100 displays the greenish tint on the screen, thus my s100 screen is defective. does anyone else have this problem?

This inexpensive wireless unit replace a Lexmark one that had similar features. Kids mainly use it for printing homework assignments. It's a great overall printer and scanner. It appears solid and well put together.

This is a very high quality case. The leather is nice! The parts all ARE METAL! This is reassuring since the stress points on this are not plastic, so you won't have to worry about it breaking.But they went TOO FAR with the metal. My only complaint is that it uses metal buttons to secure the cover on but I wished they used heavy duty velcro instead. Or, designed it so that taking off the top cover is less cumbersome.I guess this borders on nitpicking so I still gave it 5 stars.

I preordered this camera before it arrived to market. I was dissapointed with it once I bought it. S100 is a great camera but it is no better than S95. S100 was suppose to be upgrade of s100.

I've only had this camera a couple of days, but so far I like it fine for what it is.One thing I haven't seen mentioned in other reviews is that it has support for automatically bracketing exposures so that you can process them externally for HDR photography. The other reviews that I've seen tend talked about the built in HRD process requiring a tripod--but I don't know why you'd do that anyway. There are way too many adjustments to make an HDR photograph work to do on a camera.

Truth be known the Canon PIXMA MX 401 will only print web pages from Internet Explorer.So for you folks like me that use Firefox, you will be angry and disappointed that your newAll-in-one has a dark secret when it comes to printing from the web.I had only wished someone would have told me before I bought this thing.Google Chrome..nope eitherIt's what people don't tell you...except me

Purchased February 22, 2012 and just got a lens error message! The lens will not retract. I have been so careful with this little wonder and now it will not operate. I was pleased with it when it was operational. It is quite a lot of money to spend to have it mysteriously cease to operate in under three months.

Had this camera for two months now, got it from Best Buy. My previous camera was the Panasonic LX5. Great camera but too bulky for me to put in my pocket. My gf has a Canon S90 so I've also been using that for a year.I love this camera. I think it's better than the LX5 in every regard. And it's also better than the S90 although you have to take side by side shots to notice the difference. I'm really surprise to read so many negative reviews about this camera. I had to go back and look at all the pictures I took to see if I missed anything. And yes I still think this camera takes beautiful photos. Maybe they all got theirs from a bad first batch and I just got lucky.Anyways highly recommend if you can find one.

I upgraded from an s90 to s100 mainly for the HD video features.Although I am still quite pleased with the camera I have noticed a few setbacks in the new model.- pictures are much softer than the s90- sometimes will not shoot in the dark- flash is acting a bit goofy, but this may be my poor photography skills- autofocus during video is a nice feature, but it is also really really slow and you cannot enable a fixed-focus mode.Just thought I would point these out. Still, for the price, I am not sure you can find a better camera.

If you're looking for a fantastic, compact camera that is feature rich look no further. You can let the camera do all the work or set things to manual or find middle ground. I do wish Canon would come out with a better panorama mode.And why, oh why, is it that every time a new Canon camera comes out that can shoot RAW, the old Photoshop RAW converter won't work? Can't Canon stick with the old RAW format and move forward? Now I have to wait until Adobe updates their Photoshop software. Canon does have a converter program in the box but... how do I say this... it sucks.If you only need a "point and shoot" camera, you might want to look elsewhere. But if you like more control or room to grow, the S100 is worth considering.

Purchased this printer from Best Buy. Cost seemed reasonable, printer cartridges are low priced as well. Installed driver disk onto my computer and set up as a wireless printer on my home network. Running windows 7 64-bit operating system. Printer seemed to work at first, printed out a couple of items, but then began immediately having connection problems. System recognizes presence of printer on network, shows printer as "active" and "ready", but whenever I hit the print button it fails to print. Doesn't offer any specific guidance, just failure. Tried rebooting computer, no help yet. Tried downloading updated drivers, no help yet. Troubleshooting guide requires me to go find a network cable and hook it up with a hardline just to troubleshoot it. This printer is beginning to be very frustrating. Not exactly a plug-n-play system.

I've been playing with digital camera since 2001. I have total 2 DSLR and 2 P&S one: Canon ELPH 300, Olympus XZ-1.Bought this camera at Best Buy last week to test out and I had around 100 shots with it. My conclusion: Don't expect it deliver good image as "sample" photos by Canon. Image is very average. In fact, my previous canon ELPH 300 gave better image results. Only in low light, Canon S100 is just a bit better than Canon ELPH 300. Same shot at same time and place with my Olympus XZ-2, Olympus delivered way superior image....way way better. Much more clearer and detailed.Not worth the money 429.99....overpriced. If it's 200, I might keep it. Rather than that, nothing is really special about it.

I am truly impressed with this camera. While it does not out perform my 7D in terms of low light capability, it does out perform my first DSLR, the original Digital Rebel. ISO 1600 results from the S100 are quite impressive, especially if you shoot in RAW post process. ISO 3200 is usable for small prints.Now on to the lens. I love the wide end of the lens, it is a slightly soft in the corners wide open, but not objectionably so. 28mm and up it is quite sharp at all apertures over the entire frame. I'm happy to say that my camera does not suffer from any lens abnormalities that have been found on review sites. Hopefully this is a sign Canon has fixed their production issue.

I ordered this case for a Powershot I gave my husband for Christmas. The great thing was, after Christmas it went on sale and I saved about $20+ on it. The case is great quality, all leather and gives the camera body a great protective skin, even when it's open and in use. It has a long slender shoulder strap so it can be thrown over a shoulder or hung from the neck to keep it handy. It was well worth the price I paid.

First the good stuff:Great looking, looks like leather to me. Easy to put on and take off. Solid protection. Great fit. Makes the camera easier to hold.And now, the not so great:Neck strap is uncomfortable (I took it off, no biggie). No storage space, even for an extra memory card. The bottom of cover covers the microphones on front, and so it must be completely removed when making movies. The cover also inhibits use of the lens adjustment ring; you can still access it while shooting, it is just a little more awkward with the case on.Overall, a satisfying purchase, but I might get a soft case with storage when I take this on vacation.

Cons:Setting up with Wifi served as a bit of a challenge since the directions weren't extremely detailed, but my dad was able to figure it out eventually.There was also no backlight for the LCD screen, which made it a bit harder to see in the dark, but since I do most of my work in a well lit room, it didn't cause much of an issue.The tray for the printer holds enough paper to last me a while, but runs out more often than other printers I've used, so if you print a ton, this might not be the best printer to use.The biggest issue is that there is only one color cartridge. If you were to run out of one color, the entire cartridge would have to be replaced.Pros:The printer, after it's set up, is extremely easy to use. I've yet to come across an issue when printing a report or homework assignment. The scanner also works great and automatically saves the file as a PFD on my computer, the copier is easy to use, and the software is easy to install.It's also nice that it prints, scans, and copies nice and fast, unlike some other printers I've used before.

Wide variety of functions, fast ADF scans and printing. Only major fault is that, at least in Wi-Fi mode, the printer seems to run out of memory or something which significantly slows down after scanning a large number of documents in its ADF.

I purchased this case for my S95 even though I already had a perfectly fine LowePro Apex 20 for the camera. It was kind of an impulse buy, after all, a custom fit leather case for ten dollars is hard to resist. Impulse or not, I 'm glad I purchased it. The case looks great, fits perfectly, and is compact enough for the camera to remain pocketable. Sure, there isn't any additional storage for batteries and memory, but there are plenty of occasions where all I need (or want) is just the camera. All in all, two thumbs up!

If you want to print from your ipad, look elsewhere. This one won't and Cannon service was pretty much zero help.The biggest selling tablet is the ipad, and Cannon does not work with it? Strange but true.

This case is not made by Canon. A search of Canon's website for the PSC-910 indicates "no results found". This does not mean that the case is poor or that you will not like it. There is no Canon PSC-910, and referencing this case as a Canon made product is misleading. Buy it if you want to and enjoy it, but know what you are buying.

This is my first Canon printer, having been an HP user before. This has the features I wanted, especially wireless and FAX. It was a snap to install, excellent instructions. I am using two computers on this machine, one a desktop and one a laptop and both in the wireless configuration. The copies are very sharp and I couldn't be more pleased. Amazon fulfilled the order promptly and the price was right.

Trying to select the right printer these days is a painful process. You could end up searching and comparing for hours.. which is what happened to me. Based on the reviews and the price I decided to go with this Canon. I have to say I am happy with the choice I made. The setup was lickety-split!! Aaaahhhhh the joys of wifi printing. Now to the prints.. AMAZING.. I was truly shocked, the pictures were sharp and I found no issues. I don't have problems paying more for ink if the results are beautiful pictures. I have yet to try out the scanner and copier but I trust that will be fine. I will try my hands at the mobile printing. If you are looking for a reasonably priced printer with wifi, look no further.

I think this printer is easy to use and good quality. It is reasonably priced, which is always a plus. The wireless works well. I'm happy with it after 5 months. If I could change anything, I would get rid of the fax (as most people don't need that functionality anymore) and make it smaller.

Pros: easy interface, nice features (HDR, ND Filter, etc), uses standard battery size of other Canon camera models, sturdy construction, quick startup time, works great with the tiltpod camera stand (tiltpod - always-ready micro tripod for compact digital cameras)Cons: a bit on the heavy side, lens ring protrudes making the camera less compact, short battery life, auto-flash a bit temperamental

This little case is totally worth it.I am not sure if it is leather or pleather, but if fake it is, the best fake I have ever seen.And new Canon owners of the S100 will be glad to know it will fit the newer model too.Yes there are small size differences to the 95, but not enough to make the case unusable. For $10 I took the chance and am very happy with it. Now my little S100 is protected while banging around in my truck or a back.

After a lot or research I decided to upgrade from my S90 to the S100. To make a long story short. Not even close. The S90 is the best. I already sent back the S100 after lots of comparison. Oh well. That's how it goes. Sorry, I don't want to go into the whole story but side by side, the S90 is great. Never tried an S95 though.

WHEN I ORDERED MY CANON WIRELESS ALL IN ONE PRINTER I HAD NO IDEA I WOULD BE SO SATISFIED. I WAS LOOKING FOR SOME FLAWS, BUT I HAVEN'T FOUND ANY YET. IT WORKS VERY WELL. I HAVEN'T USED THE FAX YET, BUT HOPEFULLY IT WILL WORK AS WELL AS THE REST OF THE FEATURES. I REALLY LIKE IT AND YOU WILL TOO.I WAS LOOKING FOR QUALITY AND A REASONABLE PRICE AND I FOUND A GREAT DEAL. THANKS AMAZON.

It is a wonderfull camera - IDEA- , but 2 bugs are present.1?"I have not had good results with this setting (AWB) shooting indoors under incandescent lighting ...." this note become from "photographers guide to the canon powershot S100 " it makes your photo appear blue (ish)2? suddenly the lens dont retract any more when turn off the camera... you can read on it in canon webpage...it is a pity because is a fenomenal camera ... if it works properly .

This is high quality case and provides good protection for the camera. However, the way the top portion of the case attaches is inconvenient to say the least. When you want to use the camera you must unsnap the cover either completely (and keep up with it somehow), or partially (and let it dangle awkwardly from the camera). Otherwise it holds the camera securely and does its job.

This camera case is simple, however, very sturdy and gets the job done. Digital cameras are delicate and this leather case protects with minimal ease. I would recommend this product. The case is not too heavy or bulky making travel to and fro not a concern. The case was purchased while on sale and it would have been well worth the original purchase price.

I am not entirely sure what all of the negative reviews are about but since I have not shot with the S95 I cannot attest to the quality from that perspective. I absolutely love the camera so far and am extremely pleased with my purchase. There are so many manual adjustments that can be made which is huge for me since I sold my DSLR due to its bulky size. This thing looks and feels great, and has the quality to match.

I bought this all-in-one printer just before starting graduate school. It prints, copies, and scans well enough for my needs. Having the loading tray on top if nice when scanning a multi-page document. You have to flip the page over manually when printing duplex which is a bit of a hassle, but you can't expect everything when you buy a $70 dollar printer. The ink cartridge that comes with it is the regular not XL size. It shows a low ink level pretty quickly, but you are able to print pretty long time after the warning first pops up (probably about 100 pages). Overall I am very pleased with the purchase.
