Bought this camera as a pocket camera. I own DSLR, but lately I use this one more and more frequently because of its small size. Also image stabilization and low light performance are fantastic!

I've owned the last 3 cameras in this series (90, 95 and 100). I'd like to make a few points for possible upgraders on the new features:- The video quality is noticeably better than the 95 and now can autofocus during shooting. The dedicated record button is a nice addition.- I rarely use the GPS geotagging feature because it drains the battery, doesn't work indoors and it slow to get a location fix. The implementation on the iPhone 4s is much better, but Apple has the benefit of using cell and WIFI to speed up the location fix.- The hand grip is nice, but I don't like the change of the location of the hand strap loophole. It's a bad location for right handed people- I don't detect any change in photo quality over the 95It's a good upgrade for S90 users. S100 owners should probably pass unless they will use it for video.

I bought the camera because it was rated high for a real estate camera where we need good lighting and a wide angle. It is a nice improvement over my Iphone 4S and so far I have just used it like a point and shoot. The manual settings I'm sure will enhance my pictures when I learn how to use them. I waited for a good price and got it for $225 on Black Friday.

I wanted to have a camera with me at times when my full DSLRs were not handy to carry, and this point and shoot fits the bill. It is small enough to fit in a pocket, but delivers very good images and has the capability to shoot camera raw. A lot of good features for a camera of this size and price. (Got it at Amazon with a recent one day $100 off price tag.)

I purchase a Canon all in one before.I wanted to upgrade my old All in one.I have to say this is a great upgrade from want I had.By comparing my old printer,copier,and scanner in one.This Canon MX410 is so good so far.

I bought this for my husband just before the Christmas holiday, so it was one of the first units off the production line (serial number 32XXXXXXXXXX). The lens shutter gradually stopped working over a few days and finally would not fully close or open. I returned it for repair under warranty and was quoted $169 for repair. Even when I remonstrated with them, they would only reduce this to $90. The camera has not been dropped, jarred or subject to any pressure, but they refused to honor the warranty for what is obviously a manufacturing issue.UPDATE: Eventually, after escalating the issue, I was contacted by Mike from Canon Customer service, who refunded the repair charge and who checked personally that the repair had been made. I am happy that the issue was resolved, but it should not have taken so much effort to have the repair made under warranty.

Bought this for my wife who is a professional photographer. She wanted a point and shoot and I know she loves to shoot in raw which is the main reason I picked this camera. So far she loves everything about it and the battery life has not been a problem. Great choice, she said.

Can this pure leather case really cost $10? Judging from the aspect and construction, it looks like should cost way more than that. But be thankful it's not (for now). Actual color is more deep brown than black, and the metal rivets and sewing around give it a nice retro feel. The integrated strap is also OK. I read some complaints about being difficult to manage the S100's outer lens ring with the case on, but in my experience it is greatly exaggerated. In the worst of cases you can still manage the outer ring from the upper side. Now, changing the battery or the SD card may be a shortcoming - as this requires you to unmount the case from the camera. But those two are actions that you are unlikely to perform constantly while using the camera, so this can be lived with. I don't really see any serious shortcomings worth mentioning about this case, specially with Amazon's great price.

-It won't scan without ink. Why would it need ink in order to do this? Lame-One printer cartridge costs $20, and I only got around 30 pages printed with that much ink; dries up quick-Won't print in black and white only using the black cartridge only; you need to buy the color one too.-Very klunky thing.

The Quality and Specifications of this camera is excellent! For professionals like me, the ability to shoot in RAW format is a good option. I rate this camera 4 instead of 5 due to the LCD has a little green tint. According to some forums, that happens with some of this cameras, but not all. The quality of the final images is not affected.

No complaints so far.The camera is as good as advertised and gives the user a great amount of control compared to other point and shoots. I'm still a relatively novice photographer so I'm finding new things out every time I shoot.It really is a great every day pocket shooter and I would highly recommend it.

Tested camera immediately when it arrived. Noticed some quirks but took it out for an outting anyway. Couldn't believe it, the LCD screen would consistently turn black when camera is turned on it's side for vertical shots. Tested for several days as I was on vacation, and the blacken screen appears ~ 80% of the time. Can still shoot pictures but would be shooting blindly. Altho I've own 3 other Cannons (a DLSR, a superzoom and an older Powershot), I returned this camera and will be sitting out getting another Cannon for a while.

Excellent sharpness of taken pictures.Excellent Features and programs.Possibility to take pictures as RAW files.Value case and value feeling in handLittle bit complicated menue hierarchy.Hidden flash light needs some training for use because flash exit in most cases is hindered by fingers.

I really like this camera, it takes great pictures. The screen on the back of the camera is a great size. My one complaint is that the flash is in an awkward spot, it pops up right where you would naturally hold the camera to take a picture. Due to that fact, I am giving this camera a 4 star rating.

I bought this after getting a glowing testimonial from my sister in law and seeing the photos she took. I have been unhappy with previous digital cameras - too complicated, photos blurry, etc. This one is great.

I have an Iphone, Ipad, and an old mac running OS X 10.4.11 . I got the printer to set up fine. I could print anything I wanted with the computer hooked up to the printer. I tried to set it up to be wireless and I am having a hard time getting my old computer to print with the WiFi. it is driving me crazy. I did how ever get my I phone to print photo wirelessly with the app Cannon iEEPP . So that is good. BUT this printer does not have or support Airprint. I did not know that before I bought it. I thought since it said works with Iphone it would print for me. IF this was an Airprint printer I could print web pages and emails right from my phone or pad. I wish I threw down a few more bucks for the Pixma MG5320. That printer has it all. You can even fill one color at a time. No need to replace the whole thing. I think that would be really nice. I printed about 40 photos with this MX410 and now I am low on ink. it still will print but the photo is kind of dis colored.This is still a good printer photos look good. Runs well too. for like $15 more I could have had everything I wanted. Do your research.One thing is for sure Canon makes a great printer. Its the only kind I will own. We have a 6 year old Canon printer that is still going strong. It can't make the quality photos the new printers can make.

I purchased this as it was on a lightning deal quite cheap for my Canon PowerShot S95 10 MP Digital Camera with 3.8x Wide Angle Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 3.0-Inch LCD. I didn't have a lot of interest in it prior to this pricing point, but like a lot of other amazonians, I jump on the deal.It's build quality is pretty nice and fits the camera perfectly...But a couple of complaints I have with it are: the strap supplied feels as its 18' long. I took it off. For those wanting to wrap around the neck, maybe you would use it. I think a wrist strap for a point-and-shoot makes more sense.And when unsnapping to take pictures, everything just seems to dangle in an awkward way. Once again, not a mjor drawback, but just a simple annoyance.It fits the camera perfectly, and protects it. That's why I decided to get it so I the pro's do outweigh the con's.

I bought the S100 after doing lots of research on the S95. I was really excited to take it on my 6 week backpacking trip through Asia. The camera worked exceptionally for the first 5 weeks and took amazing pictures. On week 5, the camera crapped out on me in Beijing right before the Great Wall.I got the dreaded "Lens Error" message and the camera wouldn't take any pictures. Just a black screen. This is shameful. After reading plenty of reviews about the same issue on Amazon, I figured I would be careful and it wouldn't happen to me. I was dead wrong. I pampered this camera the whole time, it has never been dropped or exposed to any moisture.Bottom line: I don't trust this camera the least bit. Don't let what happened to me happen to you. This camera is getting sold after its repair. There's no way Canon doesn't realize how many people are having this problem, especially after all the negative reviews on Amazon.For alternatives, I would urge people to look into the Panasonic LX5 or the Fuji X10. Both are a bit larger but take excellent pictures.

This is the PERFECT case for my new Canon S100, comfy to wear around my neck and looks really nice. Quality seems good, the only thing is that the top cover doesn't stay snapped to the bottom very well when you're using the camera-- you have to remove it completely but if you can put it in another bag/purse while you're using it, it shouldn't be a problem.

There are amazing full-size sensor cameras out now from Sony and from Canon, but this is STILL a great camera, and a great value. While a digital SLR still rules for photo quality, it won't fit in your pocket.

Have been using this as a supplemental camera when I do not want to carry around a bigger camera. Good images, takes raw, fits well in pocket.Would reommend. Thre is a newer version of camera that incorporated WiFi.If that is not needed this remains a very good camera

The canon s100 is the camera that I have been waiting for. It's a small auto pocket camera when you want it ti be, but it has the capabilities and controls of a SLR when wanted.Great price on Amazon.

I bought this primarily for the low light capability and it fits the bill perfectly. Only problem I see (which is probably present on all cameras with this much of a wide angle) is that the objects in the extreme edges of the picture have a bit of distortion. However, the pictures are sharp and show low grain, at least with an ISO of 1600 or less. I saw complaints about the battery being short lived, but I'm still on the original charge and have used it for 3 weeks. Of course, I haven't taken that many pictures, but at least the battery hasn't run down just sitting in the camera. I have had the camera on quite a bit playing around with different settings and to download the pictures into the computer.It takes a bit of getting used to having to restart the video each clip, as I'm used to putting the camcorder into pause between shots. This camera has no "pause."Edited to add: Now I am not happy with this camera. It has already required two repairs. The first was for fluctuating white balance and now I have to send it back for repair as it will just shut down after taking a picture. The previous repair was just for a problem during video shooting. This current problem is with taking single shots.Edited 9/13/2012. Do not purchase this camera. It came back from the second repair and it still has not been repaired. Canon evidently does not know how to repair a camera once it has a problem.

Although when I got this printer it was quiet dirty for a used item. I expected all the features to at least work.I got it especially for the FAX feature but the FAX feature doesn't work at all. The other parts works fine

It's not as good as the s95. When taking pictures in low light, the white balance is kind of awful. But the user interface is very friendly.

Real nice point and click. Shoots fast, good telephoto. We are not great photographers, but has been great for travel, use it with the Canon underwater housing and it has worked real nice as a dive camera.

i've had this camera for about 7 months, but few weeks ago while traveling in europe the auto zoom would not work about 50% of the time, and the images turn out blurry. I'd have to restart it at least once to make it work..will see how canon warranty fix the problem.

We had an older Canon Powershot S410 that served us well the past 8 years, but was slow & difficult to take pics while in motion. This new camera is much faster & does better in dimly lit areas. The functions are similar & user friendly. We are very pleased with our puchase & highly recommend it.

I got this printer not as a replacement, but a supplement to the brother laser printer I already have. It also pretty much replaces my old Epson scanner, which is showing signs of aging.PROS: Amazingly easy to set up. I own a Mac, and it's basically plug n play like most Mac compatible products. My OS immediately recognized the new hardware and prompted to download the necessary software which is very intuitive and easy to understand.The onboard display is VERY easy to understand and most of the commands can come from the printer itself without having to open any programs on your computer. For example, you want to make a simple copy of something press "COPY" and it will do so within seconds. Scanning, same thing but it will automatically open the appropriate program for you after you press "SCAN" ... it works in reverse as well, so you can always open up the program manually.It does seem to be an amazing value for getting a 3-in-1 deal. I have not used the fax feature yet, but I imagine that it would deliver similar results to the scanner and printer.Scanning quality looks good. I do some pretty basic scans for web-view type of imagery so I think most scanners suffice for this purpose. If you plan on scanning things for larger blow up or printing, then this probably won't do it for you. The scan area is only a little bigger than letter size.CONS: As far as amazing resolution, this printer will not necessarily give you that. For standard copies and documents it will get the job done and then some. If you are looking for a printer that can give you really nice images (something that you will use specifically for photo printing) then you might as well splurge and get something that will give you amazing resolution. While this printer is not bad at all, you will be much more satisfied with splurging a little more for DOPE resolution.So, this combo is very nice. I honestly don't see myself using it to print (as in word documents) as much as I will use the copy and scan features. But, if you have a small office or even want this for your small business it seems like it will do the trick for you. At this price, it seems really hard to beat.I own a fair number of Canon products now, and they all have stood up to their reputation. They are durable and seem to have lasted all this time without breakage. You can probably expect this one to last you quite a while.

A year ago, I purchased a S95 and was very pleased. This year I purchased the S100 and was also pleased. Both cameras seem to work about the same, with the S95 being a little better in certain photos.

This fits the camera ok but not as good as another version I had used and given to a relative. It has an old world feel to it. It tends to be very cumbersome when open and impedes the motion of the camera to a degree. It offers reasonable protection but could certainly be better.

Canon usually sells superior products. I only use Canon Cameras.This printer has real issues accepting new cartridges. I mean it is a HUGE issue.Pass this buy and upgrade to another with realsoftware that will properly align cartridges after installing.I have owned many a printer.

Camera was bought in May 2012, and the serial number is above the listed numbers by Canon, still I've got Lens Error, and lens is stuck.Quality of low light pictures are great, camera is great in use, easy, portable, but 50/50 it will break up in the first few month of using without any harsh conditions (I was making picture of flower).Sending camera for repair to Canon Service.

I like that it has full manual controls and RAW mode. It's obviously not as good as my SLR, but it's great for times when I don't want to lug around a big heavy SLR. My biggest complaint is it's slower focus, and fps, etc. than the SLR, but for it's size it takes good pictures.

I bought this printer to replace a 6 year old Canon used in my home. Installation and setup were easy following the instructions on the enclosed CD. This has to be done with the machine connected to a computer via the enclosed USB cable as the first step, and I am continuing to use the printer plugged into my PC, so I cannot comment on the pros and cons of wireless usage. The on-screen user's manual is very comprehensive and well written, making it easy to use all the machine's capabilities.In the print mode the MX410 is somewhat noisy but delivers clean crisp copies. I scanned the IRS Form 1040 using the printer's ADF mode and got a good copy; then by placing the same document directly on the platen glass. This gave a noticeably sharper copy. I also got a very good scan of a color photograph that had a lot of detail; the colors and details were true to the original. I prefer to scan using the software put on my PC during the installation process, but scanning via the menus and settings displayed on the LCD is also easy. A drawback is that the LCD screen is quite small, but the lettering is clear. Since I do not use this printer for business I have not used the fax capability. Overall, this printer provides very good value for $80.

Bought this camera, Canon S100 to take underwater pictures after being inspired by marine life during a couple of diving trips. Also bought compatible u/w housing. This camera takes excellent pictures both on land & u/w. Sharp details, bright colors, quick & fuss free camera,

I paid $239 for the Canon S100. It's a steal and for that price I bought 2. I'm an underwater photographer and with the proper flash I get pictures that are stunning. There is a few others digital camera as good or a little better but never at this price!!!

I'm a camera guy. I had never used a pocket camera that made me happy - until I bough this one. The only drawback I find is the battery life is shorter than I am used to. Not a deal breaker. (Turning off GPS helps.)

We're still getting used to the camera but so far we're pretty happy with the quality and speed. We bought this camera mainly for shots of our ever on the move 16 month old son. Again, thanks to the aperture speed, blur is kept to a minimum. I do wish the photos came out a bit warmer but for a point and shoot, can't complain.
