Великолепно
I bought this to supplement small Q Acoustics bookshelf speakers used with a Yamaha micro hifi. It took a few attempts to balance it to the main speakers but now it works a treat. recommended.

Bought this to add a little bit of bass to our bookshelf speakers. Just what we needed. Looks great and is the perfect size for the bottom shelf of our entertainment center. Sounds great thru stereo system and enhances our movies with simulated sorround sound. Very pleased with this purchase.

Fits well and looks great on shelf below TV. Attached to Vizio VSB200 sound bar and works perfectly. Adds a lot of dimension to the sound especially music and movies..

This item fits the bill. Have in-ceiling speakers that sounded rather thin, could really tell low end was missing. Not any more, another great product from Yamaha, in a small package! I highly recommend this item, in fact a co-worker bought one after I received mine. If you're looking for a small subwoofer with tons of guts, this is the one.

fill in a little at low end. Not a real room shaker. I had hope Yamaha would be something special. NOT. It is also not wireless. I wish I had listened to it in the store first before purchasing it.

Had this sub for a few weeks now and use it daily,. It is linked to my ysp600 and I am very pleased with it all round.
It has added amazing depth to my bluray films. I love that I do not have to touch any controls, it just links with the amp.
Superb value for money,looks goods,and feels like a quality product.

following my purchase, i was excited at the prospect of pairing the yamaha YSTFSW050BL sub woofer with my Yamaha-30D sound projector. After setting up the system, new cables, i sat back ready for a new listening experience, what a disappointment the differnce is minimal. This being confirmed when i asked a pal (who has the same sound bar but different sub woofer) for his thoughts.

We were limited on floor space and wanted somthing for a tabletop. This was perfect and reasonably priced. Very pleased with the sound for what it is.

I tried this "subwoofer" because I needed something I could fit below a small office cabinet. Unfortunately, even in an office setting, this unit underperforms. Here's why:
* For starters, there's no crossover setting. So the tiny driver is reproducing more mid-lows than true low bass, and there's no way to stop it from doing so. It's all muddy mid-bass.
* The main driver is tiny and the amp is underpowered, so it has no impact whatsoever (and turning it up only worsens the problem).
* There's no auto turn-on, phase inversion, crossover (already mentioned) or anything else that would make this truly useful as a stand-alone subwoofer. Perhaps with a Yamaha mini-system that had no low-mids to begin with it would be helpful, but again, not as a subwoofer for a high quality system.
* Although it didn't impact performance, the box was opened already when the unit arrived.
The system in which this "sub" was used consisted of Sonus Faber speakers, Rogue Audio integrated amplifier and Kimber interconnects. Needless to say, I was mistaken in thinking it could perform in the same league as these other components, but I doubt it perform well in any league, quite honestly. It's all "mid-woofer" and definitely not a true "sub-woofer." An embarrassing product for Yamaha.

Hooked this unit up to a Yamaha Sound bar (ATS-1010) Works great, Music videos, TV , everything sounds great. Hooked up properly to the sound bar this unit shuts off when TV is shut off, along with the sound bar. Put it in a small room , ( my man cave ) I only set it on about 35-40 percent. Really enhances the sound on even regular TV shows.

Checked out the specifications on many sub woofers but decided the Yamaha looked best on paper - price was right too! Wasn't disappointed.Added to my Yamaha 50W mini hi-fi system it delivers those extra base level tones that were needed. Use it to power-up my tv/dvd viewing too - makes for very reaistic cinema style experience.

I'm not a high-end audiophile, but I'm picky enough to not buy junk.
I'm very impressed by this subwoofer. I coupled it with a pair of Paradigm bookshelf speakers and the 3 together are excellent for movies and music.

i bought one of these to compliment my sony home cinema 7.2 surround sound and it does an awesome job of bringing some body to movie soundtrack/audio i will be buying another one very soon so i can get the .2 up and running and having the full sensation of what the amp can do

After looking for some time for a Sub for my Vizio VSB 200 Speaker bar that was needed I decided on the Yamaha.
Hooked it up with a Mediabridge Ultra Subwoofer cable to my Speaker bar and watched X- Files, one of my DVD movies. It made a big difference compared to the week before when I watched it. Adding just the right rumble at 75%
volume. This Subwoofer is made for front surround systems. My Woofer sits on a shelf over the TV by itself. The back
of the Woofer has 2 connections only and a 110 V power cord 5 ft long. One of the connections is for the Subwoofer cable and and one for the system control cable( both cables are 15 feet long and included but not shielded ). The control cable plugs into an Yamaha Amplifier, witch I don't have, for the Auto Shut off feature.

I ordered two of these small sub-woofers and couldn't be more pleased they produce clear crisp base and have a nice sounding punch to them. If you are looking for something to rock the house with nothing but overpowering base these aren't the guys to get but if you want to create a stellar theater experience within your own home I highly recommend these units. I purchased two of these smaller ones rather than one of the larger and placed one in each back corner of the room. I purchased a gold plated splitter cable and split my signal coming off the receiver and the sound has been GREAT. These are small enough to fit under a futon couch to give you an idea as to what they will fit under. All this to say this is a great product at a great price!

This is my first review. The Yamaha sub I got was not overwhelming in the effects that it added to my experience. However the extra thump, subtle sounds, and voice clarity added to the overall experience was pleasant. Granted I had neighbors to consider and never really tried to crank it up yet. Had it hooked up to a Vizio soundbar. Yamaha YST did add some depth to each scene in all movies from a sound effects stand point. There are some problems with turning it off as it stays on when the soundbar is turned off.
Overall this is a good edition to a soundbar, and at times shows it muscles. It is not for audiophiles or bass heads however. Its for people looking for a nice looking and decent sounding solution to adding some effects and bass to their soundbars or theater systems missing those things. At a good price it does just that.

When teamed up with my new AV receiver an surround-sound speakers, adds real atmosphere. I was looking at subs much more expensive than this one, but this is perfect for the medium size room. Takes up very little space, but does a great job.

Just started to review the product and I wanted to correct some previous reviews that said that it does not have auto-on and off. It does include this feature. There is a mini-jack that connects to the trigger output of your receiver (assuming your receiver has one). I plugged the included cord in and connected the other end to the jack on the back of my Denon receiver--it worked flawlessly. You just keep it in the off-position on the switch and it automatically turns on.
So far it is sounds good, and fits very well into the small rack space required. (It's a very heavy component unit, so I'm not worried about it shaking other components). I'm guessing that if you are looking for a smaller unit like me, you'll find that this product fits the bill.
