Makes an excellent choice for a bedroom or den! Works and fits nicely on a book shelf and adds a lot of extra punch when needed!

I was pleasantly surprised with the nice heavy base this sub gives off, Much like the bigger 14" X 16" I replaced! I always use the Amazon warehouse when I want a deal with the same quality as new! I am never disappointed! Good job amazon, Highly recommended! Dan. =O)

I like it, but like most of the comments I read before I purchased it, it will not power down with the rest of the system, you have to manually shut it off.

This sub woofer was easy to install, fits nicely in my cabinet, and fills the room with bass. It is a nice addition to the entire system.

this was purchased for its size, but a proprietary interface makes this an energy waster. only compatible yamaha products will enable it to power-off automatically. this is a typically bad design from yamaha, a company that has become very reliable in the area of bad design in the past several years. i returned it.

This yamaha Subwoofer works well and looks good. It's a shame that the remote switching only works with a Yamaha amp! having to remember to switch it off every night is not very good.

I have owned a few subs ranging from Logitech,Bose,tannoy and JBL and in all honesty this is the best sub out of them for me as Bose coming 2nd.great sub i have it plugged into my TV via red RCA to headphone jack working with my Bose companion 2.TRY THIS SETUP!! it sounds concert like and is 1/6 the price coming in at

Chose the FWS050BL2 on previous reviews and price range. It was to complement my existing adhoc 7.1 system but once plugged in it became the star of the show. No fracturing, no base hum, no distortion, just clean booms and bangs along with my computer movies - without adjusting the factory settings!
Very impressed - would buy another and recommend it to anyone looking for a mid-market sub

Full, rich sound, which enhances the Yamaha YAS 101 Sound Bar. Well worth the money and looks great. System connection cable and subwoofer cabel included.

It sounded horrible and distorted, no matter how it was fed. It also proved to be incompatible with my TV (there wasn't an output that would feed it without a significant delay).

This is a good sub for a small room. I give it 4 stars because of the lack of controls. The volume only means you need to do a lot of tinkering with the receiver controls to get the best sound. The crossover settings, the level settings, and frequency settings are a must to have to get the most out of this sub. It may take some time but this sub is a good sounding sub for the compact design and low price at Amazon.

I bought this as an add-on to my YSP 600 soundbar. Fitting was extremely easy and the two supplied cables were connected in a couple of minutes.
Setup required a little more user input and in my case involved accessing the menu on the soundbar to turn off the "trubase" then clicking on the sound menu to set.
The manual suggests the halfway point with the volume switch but I found it gave much more realistic base if set to the level of the soundbar.
Pros ... Fantastic value and will add to the performance of most soundbars.
Cons ... Rather bigger than Yamaha'a "Discrete" description won't fit under every TV.

This is a mighty impressive little sub, don't be fooled by it being a 50watt subwoofer it packs a punch!
I have set this subwoofer up with a yamaha yas 101 soundbar which I purchased from elsewhere as amazon has
a 2month + delivery time, you wont be let down with how deep the bass is from the down firing speaker which
fits nicely on my tv stand. I highly recommend this subwoofer if you are just starting out with a surround system.

Goes well with my Yamaha sound bar. Power and volume is activated from the sound bar control unit. Gives the sound lots of body.

It looks nice and I have a Yamaha amp that goes well with it. The only issue that I had with this is that I had to add a new grounding wire cable so it would not give feedback. Other than that, sound good.

For the price point and the small form factor this subwoofer is a great addition to any surround sound system. My wife and I don't need and earthquake in our house when it comes to base. We just want to enjoy the LFE channel on Dolby surround tracks. If you're on a budget and your limited on space this is a great choice.

We put this in the wall unit (on its own shelf) for our livingroom TV. It's very unobtrusive, but when it's own, you know it's there! I would definitely recommend this to someone who is looking for the deep base a subwoofer provides, who doesn't have the space for a freestanding unit.

This has very good sound. I use it in a bookcase in my bedroom and it gives you good solid bass. It is perfect fit in that situation. I do wish you didn't have to manually turn it on but so far that hasn't been a big issue.
