Being wireless is great! Just set it accross the room and synced it with my sound bar. Comes with the transmitter for sending signal to woofer.

this can be place on a shelf with other system componets and blend in without a problem currently looking for a socket adapter for it to hook it up to come on and off with a universal remote

I had been looking at this sub for some time and finally took the plunge. I have it connected to an old 6.1 channel Sony Amplifier (which I run only as a 2 channels until now) using the supplied cable to connect to the amplifiers sub pre-out. What a difference!! For viewing I tested the sub watching the films '300' and 'lord of the rings (part3)', both excellent films for testing an item like this. I have the sub set only on a quarter volume and the bass it produces is clear and crisp and it makes viewing a whole new and exciting experience. Tested on music and the sub is just as good (if not better). Mine was delivered by Richer Sounds via Amazon and delivered with free next day delivery.
At this price it would be difficult to better this excellent product, and it matches nicely with my audio-visual set-up. Was a little bigger then I expected but thats my own poor estimation of the units size to blame. Finally to add, I used a cheaper sub previously and even though the bass was heavy, the bass was not as 'clean', punchy, and crisp like this unit produces. I use it in a large bedroom (as big as any room in my house) and as mentioned previously I only have it on a quarter to a third output (volume). I am only upset that I waited so long to buy it.

Great size and finish, would have been ideal for it's intended placement given a relatively compact size but just wouldn't adjust via my Sony home theatre amplifier and it exhibited signs of a blown bass driver, hence it was returned as faulty and a refund obtained.

I was looking for something that I could hide above the kitchen cabinets to augment the bass to the in-ceiling speakers that I had. This was the right physical size, and the right price point. It adds a noticeable increase to the bass response, though not a house-rocking one (which was not what I wanted). You can adjust the bass level. I have have it at about 2/3 of the way up.
It has a manual on/off switch, and can can be remotely powered on/off if you have a compatible receiver. I did not and since I placed the unit n top of kitchen cabinets, I added a separate on/off switch in the wall under the kitchen cabinets. It would be nice if it had an auto power standby mode, like some other subwoofers. Otherwise, I would have given it 5 stars based on price/performance.

This is a great little subwoofer, and a great price to match. This speaker made a world of difference in the quality of the sound of my home theater system! Strong bass response without being too boomy or thumpy just good low end sound whether listening to music or dialogue,I would highly recommend this sub to anyone that has a smaller room for their entertainment center.

Excellent product. Size is perfect for my needs and sound quality is great. I have a 5.1 surround sound system with speakers in the ceiling and the Subwoofer was a perfect match.

My last subwoofer was a massive beast and I had to compromise esthetics to include it in my home theater arrangement. Thankfully it died and I found this gem that is small, decent looking and plays well with my AV equipment. The only downside is I need to manually turn the unit on and off because I have an older version Yamaha tuner/amplifier that will not actuate the subwoofer. Small inconvenience but great sound and much improved esthetics.

You have to manually turn off every time you turn off the receiver. If left on it will still use electricity. Nice and sleek to have on a bookshelf. Not a bulky item that you have to hide on the floor somewhere.

Great Bang for the buck. Sound is great and unit is nicely designed. Would recommend highly. I noticed someone gave it a bad review for not having auto shutoff. It does have this feature.

I bought this sub-woofer to compliment my satellite picture speakers, and the result is very satisfactory. I recommend this product as a very good value for money buy and a very decent performer, and especially so considering its price

There may be better subwoofers out there, but I've bought 3 of the Yamaha YAS-101 sound bars and complimented them each with one of these. It's not enough to shake the room, but it adds a richness to the sound bars. It's super easy to hook up. It's not too large that it'd be a focal point in your room. I have nothing bad to say about it. I even bought one and gave it away as a gift.

I own a number of subwoofers, some low end, some high end. I was worried this one would be terrible because it was so inexpensive and bought it fully prepared to return it. To my surprise, I liked it. I use it to give a bass boost to some in wall speakers and it sounds fine for the application.
It obviously isn't an audiophile grade speaker and gets a little boomy and muddy on some songs and movies but I think it is well worth the money.
The form factor is great and not too large so you can use this almost anywhere. I'd buy it again.

After purchasing a new flat screen it did not take long to realize I would not be able to tolerate the inferior sound. I purchased a sound bar with a sub out connection. My large sub was not compatible to this system and consequently sold. I purchased this sub which works perfectly with the sound bar. I would recommend adding this type of system to your tv as it makes an immense difference in the sound. Perfect for smaller spaces as it is not too loud but still makes the tv come alive.

Since I already had a Yamaha A/V receiver, this was an obvious choice. The fact that it was right at $100 and could be mounted in my A/V rack system was the clincher for me. I really like the sound which can be controlled by the Yamaha YPAO system automatically. Other true audiophiles poo-pooed the sound, but IMHO it is fine and really rounds out my 5.1 speaker system at a fair price.
