For the money, the monitor is fantastic. The picture is great, and it connects to my macbook pro. The built in speakers are really bad, but that is expected due to its slim factor. In fact, I wouldn't call them speakers. I have external speakers connected to my laptop so this is not a problem.

I bought it to use mainly an extender to my laptop and play my xbox. I used solely the hdmi cable.The xbox was blurrrry. I could not see every clear as I hoped it would be from the specs. I have played with every possible setting on the monitor and xbox, but after hours of frustrations, I gave up. This is the main reason why I chose to return it.The monitor as an extender was quite fine. I could read the text quite well. It played 1080p quality videos quite well, but I could notice some grayness in the blacks. It is okay overall. But definitely DO NOT BUY if you are trying to use it FOR THE XBOX.

I'm returning this product because it cannot be wall mounted. If you get the user manual it says "Wall Mounting Option ....... p8" in the table of contents, but it doesn't exist. When I contacted Customer support they said this model doesn't support wall mounting. Given the incredibly light weight of the monitor and the fact that there is a plate in the back that could have easily contained some holes, I really don't see any good reason for not including it. Furthermore, they should update their manuals to reflect the actual product.

I purchased this monitor to replace a small HD monitor that came with my Gateway FX computer. Upon installation, the fonts were showing unfocused and gave me a headache after looking at the monitor for several minutes. I assumed it was a setting issue and I tried to fix the fonts with the monitor and Windows settings but none of the settings could focus the fonts including ClearType. I finally gave up and called Viewsonic. They started telling me to do steps that I've already taken and again none of them worked. I told the Viewsonic rep that my smaller monitor has the same native resolution and I have no issues with it. After following other instructions that did not work, Viewsonic finally concluded that my unit was defective and suggested I return the monitor back to Amazon which I did. I somewhat disagree that the monitor was defective because the monitor shows pictures and videos well. Only the fonts had issues. I think the monitor is not compatible with my ATI Radeon HD videocard. I WOULD NOT recommend this monitor to anyone!

Very satisfied with the monitor -- have used Viewsonics for a long time and this one is on a par with their history of good quality. Price was excellent -- speakers are mediocre -- good enough if you want to hear speech -- not good enough for music -- fulfillment by amazon was right on the money - cost and time.

Bought this monitor to replace a very good CRT monitor I have had for many years. The Viewsonic VX2453 has a great sharp pictureand is very bright. the speakers are ok for general purposes but not for quality sound on music. Not at all disappointing as this monitor isused on a second computer mainly for surfing the web. It would not be a good monitor for artist , photographers or multimedia people who want constant color toneswhile working. The colors are very good as long as you are straight on viewing but change sharply from small angle shifts. The price is good and the picture quality is very good for general use.

I got the LED Monitor in good shape, Took me probably 10minutes to unpack and setup, Tested it with my desktop PC and also my notebook. Image was very clear. Uses less power, configuring it was a breeze, I actually also sneaked in TV watching using the HDMI connection since we use ATT Uverse that is fully digital and their topbox has HDMI connections. For all what I was able to do, its quality and available feature makes it a very high value product for the price.

It's hard to find a good monitor at a great price these days that also has built in speakers. I mean the speakers are not any surround sound system by any means but it has the connections to hook it up like you want to. I have my macbook pro and my apple tv hooked up through the two different hdmi ports and it works great! love the set up love the picture quality and love how the monitor can sit directly on the desk/table

If I could give a zero star, I would. Who makes a monitor without the standard monitor stand mounting holes? I didn't even turn it on. I looked at the back, noticed the plate where the holes should be, looked at the manual and then put it back in the box to return.

Now yes! Better better contrast:If you use RGB format, black will be just dark gray. So use YCbCr444 mode. If you have a nvidia card, go to nvidia control panel - adjust desktop color settings - digital color format and choose YCbCr44. Viewsonic had done a really great job with this monitor...Two hdmi and one vga inputs is a lean choice... one component input would have made it perfect but this choice did help keep the price down... this is all I needed ... Ps3 ,Win360,and PC do look really fantastic!!!! A three year warranty also makes this one sweet deal...Of course you will need added speakers to make up for the the thin ones provided here... I wish they had left off the thin speakers and added component inputs instead...but the picture on this monitor makes up for any shortcomings.... buy this if you want a wonderful picture... war42

Overall the monitor performs as needed. Resolution and aspect ratio is good. The dynamic contrast mode is not subtle though and shifts brightness depending upon what is displayed(the trade off for energy efficiency). This would not a be a good photographic editing monitor for this reason not to mention if you disable dynamic contrast the range is not very wide. Out of the box it is way too bright as many Viewsonic monitors are. Difficult to get a good balance in proper brightness and acceptable contrast.

My 19 inch lcd monitor died and I needed a replacement. After researching and weighing all the possibilities I decided on this one, mainly because of the price. When it arrived, I just attached the cables and setup was that easy, I had no installation problems. I had initially set it up on a Windows XP system which I have since upgraded to windows 7, and installation was easy in both OS. I've also used it with my laptop with no problems. There are no dead pixels, it looks beautiful in both night or day and it has great viewing angles all around. I have it hooked up to my larger pc speakers so I can't really comment on the sound, but I'm sold on the visual aspect of it alone. This is my first led lcd monitor and I am really pleased with it. I highly recommend it.

I love the built in stand so that it doesn't need to be mounted on the TV stand. It would greatly benefit from a volume attenuator button and a single switch to switch between HDMI inputs more easily, but it has a great picture out of the box.

I have had this monitor for a little over a month now. I am very pleased with the value for the dollar. Sure, it is not an extremely high resolution monitor for the size, but it did not claim to be. I am quite happy with the performance and quality.

Just get it!! It has AMAZING view and easy to use!! But the sound quality is really bad so I connected 2 X-minis. Anyway, this is a good price for a great monitor.

I spent 3 days researching LCD monitors, comparing prices, sizes, brands & reading technical reviews. The only purpose of this monitor is gaming on a PS3. Given the state of the economy, it is very important that I get all the bang for my buck possible... & this monitor is it! Bright, vivid colors, & a beautifully clear picture!

I am very satisfied with my purchase - wish it was cheaper. But Amazon had it and sent it fast with free shipping. Brand new and much better than the smaller Samsung one I had. I don't care about the built in speakers because they are difficult to adjust volume - like if you get a phone call and have to turn them down. So I don't use them and just use my old speakers with an easy knob for volume control. Bigger is better. Will never buy a smaller monitor again. Really a nice monitor.

Sorry, but this monitor only has one flaw, but that flaw makes it pointlessAuto BrightnessWhen the majority of the screen is white (for instance a full screen Google webpage), the brightness grows to the point of blinding at 100% and washing out even blackswhen the screen is mostly of a dark color (for example an action scene in a cave or at night), the reverse happens and it is impossible to see anything.This is part of the panel itself, and not a setting or something you can change, I checked out Viewsonics help and support page.when used for multicolor images and generally otherwise, this monitor looks awesome, is very thin, has a good base, refresh rate is phenomenal, and is under 200 dollars... yeahtoo bad I had to return it for something else, I got an ASUS, and like it.

Have had this monitor for about three weeks now. The response time is the best I have ever seen and it makes all the difference in gaming. My favorite feature though is the kickstand. With monitors this large and skinny it makes so much sense, and it looks amazing sitting on my desk. I had the newest Samsung 27 Led Monitor which wasn't all that great, this beats it and looks better in my opinion. Considering buying two more for a three way setup, but might hold out for some more 3D monitors to arrive with LED back lighting (come on people!!!).-Elliot

I have always purchased ViewSonic for both personal and business use. I have never been disappointed. I love the widescreen monitor with the ergonomic swivel, height adjustable, and tilt stand. The monitor is bright and the colors are brilliant.

image quality was just what I expected, very good contrast and clearly in the colors, the sound I'm not complaining but is not very good but for a monitor is well.something I did not like was the protection, arrived in its original box so it had to be Redeemer another box for more protection as the original box suffered damage (single box).

Ordered this Viewsonic 24 inch LED Widescreen Monitor from Amazon on a Friday and received the next day (Saturday) in good condition using Prime one day delivery. Hooked it to my new computer (also ordered from Amazon) using the HDMI cable. Worked first time and saw no problems with display. I just turned the brightness down and adjusted the contrast a little with the menu in the monitor. I have not tried watching a movie yet, but the HD images I have look amazing. The speakers are just OK, as I would expect with this type of display. I have external speakers anyway so no big deal to me. I would have no problem ordering another one if I needed it. I have used it just over a week now.

My XBox games look much better and play smoother on the monitor than on my HDTV! I can listen to the games through the monitor speakers, however, good gaming headphones sound much better.

This monitor has all of my criteria: LED, 24", 1080p full HD, widescreen, fast response time, great price. The picture is beautiful with no dead pixel. I don't use the built-in speaker so I can't comment on it. Would be nice if the stand can be adjusted vertically. Overall, I love this monitor.

I decided to replace my 3 year old 22" monitor with this 27" monitor. I used it for less than 5 minutes before repackaging and returning. The monitor is not crisp at all. I tried the monitor on both HDMI and VGA inputs and was disappointed with both. I strongly advise against buying this monitor. I compared it to a Samsung LED monitor that was far less expensive, and this monitor did not compare.

I bought VX2753 to do an dual screen extended set up with my 5 years old Samsung SyncMaster 920 NW. Once place the video or any application in the middle of 2 screens, I find out the image or video on VX2753 side blur and the text are not sharp. My rig use i7-860 and discrete 5850 video card.

Setup is pretty easy, the picture is excellent, and the external design looks very good. The 2 HDMI inputs make it a good choice if you want to connect blu-ray players, game consoles, etc. Great value.

This monitor works great with my Asus EP121 Tablet PC. I purchased a mini-HDMI to HDMI cable for it and the graphics are great. It also works great with the EPO121 but you need to set it up as an extended screen so that the native resolution of each monitor can be used, otherwise it defaults to the resolution of the EP121 (1200x800) which doesn't look good on the Viewsonic monitor. I set it up to use the Viewsonic Monitor as the primary screen and the EP121 as an extended screen.Built in speakers are terrible for anything but plain speech but you can easily plug some good quality speakers into the "headphone" output on the back of the monitor which works great, especially with the HDMI input.

I've had this monitor for a few days. My first impressions are very good. Screen is great with no dead pixels and even lighting.Pros:Great pictureLooks goodCons (and these I expected):Stand isn't adjustable verticallySpeakers sound terrible. (tinny, which is to be expected on a monitor this skinny)There's a gotcha I experienced hooking up my Macbook Pro via a Display Port to HDMI adapter. At first, choosing the 1080p resolution produces an image that's too large for the screen - that is the edges are chopped off. Adjusting the under/overscan slider makes it fit, but at the expense of being fuzzy. The solution is in the monitor's setting, under input select, each HDMI input has an AV/PC setting. Mine were set to AV by default. Switching that to PC made the image fit perfectly with no fuzzies.

Monitor is all that it is advertised as. However, setup instructions were very poor. It took some trial and error to finally get the right combination of variables to get the proper connection. Once connected, everthing worked fine.

Nice picture except for some major backlight bleed on the sides. LED/HDMI/1080P logos on the front need to be a sticker and not painted on. Would have been much better if one of the hdmi inputs was dvi instead, dvi is still way more common in my experience. Cables included were 1x HDMI, vga, and sound. No DVI to HDMI converter or cable included.

This monitor was great when I used the first weeks,setting aside that the sound totally sucks.Now, that I have 2 months using it, I got dead pixels.One dead pixel yesterday, and today another dead pixel.Buy it at your own risk.

with this monitor. I bought this monitor for my Xbox 360 too, and it delivers far better than I imagined. The response time is faster than a blink of an eye, and it doesn't affect the video quality at all! Speaking of the video quality, it's so good that it hurts your eyes. You won't even be able to test the response time because you won't even blink. The sound on the other hand... It isn't good for those without a headset or speakers. You won't be able to pinpoint much from speakers inside a monitor or TV anyways with the way games are made nowadays.Almost forgot, I ordered this from Amazon too; free shipping ftw.

Pretty much disappointed. I'm fairly certain I have all the settings correct, yet I still can't believe how much better my 3 year old I Mac display looks side by side with the new Viewsonic. I'm using it entirely for stock trading, and the Level 2 quotes are just short of blurry. If anyone has any suggestions I would welcome them...
