i love this full 1080p speakers are ok but who cares love how the buttons are placed i think its worth every penny its great. there is no buzzing nose its great cheap buy it.

This display is value for your money, LED backlit, 1080p, 2 HDMI inputs (I'm using this as a desktop monitor as well as for my ps3) - They even give you an HDMI to HDMI cable and a 3.5mm to 3.5mm for AUX-in. The internal speakers are decent, but just plug any external speakers in (2.1 for the least), and you're more than set. If you are using the HDMI out on your PC make sure that the monitor is set to PC and not to AV (I think it defaults to AV - well in my case), otherwise you wont get the crisp 1080p look.Anyway, great buy, quick shipping! I recommend!

First off.... I HATE NEGATIVE REVIEWS! I take them TOO seriously and am extremely cautious when buying "higher" priced products online BUT I took the plunge anyway.ProsFANTASTIC MONITOR!! Nice wide screen view, so far Metro 2033 on ultra settings looks AMAZING (bought this monitor specifically for gaming), simple setup, & assembly is so easy a monkey could figure it out.Cons -these are more of small gripesThe navigation of the settings menu is a bit awkward but can be understood after a few trial / error runs AND the screen is SOOOO bright right out of the box it started to give me a raging headache after trying to game with it for first time.LOL I was so awestruck in the beginning with how good this looked I didn't think to turn down brightness but I soon remedied the issue and everything was just fine again. NO DEAD PIXELS but we know that can always vary from order to order. Good Luck - Great LED monitor!!

Works well for everyday computer work. I'm using it as desktop monitor for my laptop. Great for watching tv too. Speakers are only adequate but fine for the intended use. Won't find an HDMI port but a DVI conversion cable purchased separatly will hook me up. Comes with a VGA cable that does not make much sense for a full HD monitor so if your wanting the HD picture, buy the DVI cable you need along with it cause it's still less than buying an HDMI capable monitor.

The monitor display exceeded my expectations. However, when the speaker cable was plugged in the speakers had a lot of feedback which caused a high pitch buzz you could hear from several feet away. I plan to stay with the Viewsonic brand, but will look for a monitor without speakers.

this is a beautiful monitor I got 3 of these for the office and thinking of getting 2 more for home would recommend it to anyone and the on board speakers are fairly descent.

I've got a $7 clock radio that sounds better than these speakers! I did my homework. I wanted a larger monitor with HDMI input to accept video and audio over the same cable from a Lenovo Win7 nettop (with which I'm quite satisfied.) So I spring for the additional $50 +/- over the price of monitor only to purchase this unit with "SRS Premium Sound." First, I updated drivers for the nettop to the latest and greatest. Then, I installed the SRS software on my PC, which is supposed to act like a "plugin" for audio driver, but it doesn't make any difference at all. The sound is tinny and thin. A call to ViewSonic tech support was worthless: "Well, sir, the speakers are two inches in diameter, and the best sound that you'll get is similar to a boombox." Boombox! Crap. I own a Samsung sound bar for my HDTV, and it has two inch speakers that sound great! Save yourself the money; buy a regular monitor and separate speakers.

This monitor has amazing picture quality. I was seeing some noise in the video signal when my computer was attached to the monitor using a VGA cable, but the signal became perfect after I started using a HDMI to DVI-D cable made by AmazonBasics. Suggest you do the same.

The monitor is very good. Excellent colour and really nice looking when it is sat in the desk. The angle of view is good and the menu is by monitor standards easy to use. Having three devices plugged in I also valued the multiple HDMI and VGA sockets.The monitor also turns on pretty quickly as well which is a real plus after the AOC I just upgraded from that took forever. I have used the monitor in a well lit room and the glare is minimal even when the sun is shining.My only real issue is the sound. It is ideal for computer use where you are sat at the desk close to the screen but at any real volume the distortion is terrible. the upside is the audio out socket that allows you to connect your speakers to the screen (if this is an upside!).I love it but if you need sound as well as a picture, go somewhere else!

This monitor had a high pitch noise that I couldn't stand. If it didn't have this problem I would have kept the monitor because the picture looked great.

works as intended, I had to buy a hdmi cable to get the full resolution, other than that it was plug and play. The picture is very good and the outside is nice and thin.

Great monitor, good color very bright picture of corse the speakers are not very good. But none of the monitors with built in speakers are any good if you are looking for a low price large monitor 1080p HD then this is the one you want!

I bought this sight unseen based upon a combination of price and reviews. I was not disappointed. This monitor has a much sturdier stand than the Samsungs. The LED backlighting makes this monitor bright, crystal clear and viewable from many angles.Not advertised but included in the box was an HDMI cable, at least a $25 value. Buy at least one of these monitors today!

This is a great monitor that complements my laptop well. Great screen and love the dual HDMI inputs. Would double well as a TV. Mediocre speakers, but I didn't really want them anyway.

Excellent monitor, probably one of the best bang for your bucks out there.Disappointed to see other people taking off stars because of the speaker system. It's a monitor, not a 5:1 stereo system - you buy a monitor to look at it, not hear it.

Although the VX2450WM is the best selling monitor on amazon, I initially bought this one thinking that newer and thinner is better. At the surface, it had everything I wanted. Two HDMI's, thinner screen, etc. for about $40 more. I got it for my macbook pro 13" 2011 w/ i5. I have three mini displayport (mDP) adapters. One mDP to hdmi from monoprice, an mDP to hdmi from ebay, and mDP to VGA from monoprice. When monitor is hooked up to either the mDP to hmdi from ebay or monoprice, the screen is dark. I used Spyder Elite and it came out to be about 230 cdm brightness on maximum setting and the sypder couldn't make it brighter even at 100% brightness. When the mDP to VGA is hooked up, it's nice and bright using the full 300 cdm brightness. If a PC/Win7 computer is hooked up by hdmi or VGA, it's also nice and bright. This lead me to conclude that there is an incompatibility between the MBP and this monitor.I reluctantly returned this monitor to amazon. Instead, I got the VX2450WM. Overall, I'm liking the VX2450WM a lot so far. Cheaper ($180 vs $220), aesthetically more pleasing (clear plastic at bottom of frame), no physical buttons to press (it's a touch sensitive on the black frame around the LCD screen), and better sound output which I can control from OS X. If you're a MBP 13" 2011 person, get the WX2450WM instead.

I originally ordered 2 of these for my workstation at work and found these monitors to be awesome... After using them for about 3months I had to replace the single 24" monitor I had at home with 2 of these... These are just superior to all the other monitors I have used and perform far beyond what you would think by the price.

Monitor is great with good color saturation and fantastic contrast. good side angle viewing. Highly recommended.Vendor JM Prime, however is not. They tried a bait and switch on the pricing, then decided not to honor the price they quoted. Shady company - dont deal with them.

So far this has been a great monitor. Everything worked perfectly out of the box with no dead pixels. Be sure to follow the installation instructions and follow the full setup. If you use an HDMI cable, change the setting to PC. In my case, the monitor was set to AV by default. As several other people have mentioned, this monitor looks best if you adjust the settings to fit your preferences. If that process bothers you, you might be better off purchasing a different monitor as the adjustments make a fairly significant difference in the picture quality.This is a very thin monitor with built-in speakers. As you might expect, the speakers are poor at best. Fortunately, there are many fairly cheap PC speakers available that provide much better sound.

Worked out of the box, looks great, does the job, and it makes my mother-in-law happy. LED back lighting makes it bright and thin. 1080p capability ain't too shabby. She already has a decent audio system so I did not hook up the on-board speakers. Rather not have paid extra for speakers, but for the price it was no loss also considering no sales tax or shipping costs makes it especially a great buy. She told me to buy whatever I would buy and once again she has what I would buy for myself if only I could. My money is going for a new HDTV. Besides, I don't have room for a 24" monitor in my work area. I wish I did though. I wish I had this monitor.

The Pros out-weight the Cons.Pros:Monitor comes well package with all the accessories you need to connect everything.Exterior is beautiful and very modern.Screen is nicely lit without bad pixels.The menus for settings are very basic and easy to understand.2-HDMI inputs, 1-Speaker jack, and 1-Microphone jack are available behind the Screen.Stand is not flimsy.The Colors and Blacks are in my opinion good when calibrated. I strongly recommend to turn down gamma settings on Windows.Cons:Speakers are terrible. I will give them 1 out of 10. (My cellphone sounds better).

This monitor looks good and has a good display aside from the one bad pixel it developed.The display adjustments are awkward to use. The stand is flimsy in its vertical position.The sound on it is horrible - you'll need a pair of external speakers. I bought a pair of Logitech X-140 speakers for about $25 here on Amazon that work OK. So if you buy this monitor, buy speakers at the same time.

You only get 30,000,000:1 contrast ratio if you use their "dynamic" setting but it still looks awful anyway. You only get SRS sound of you install their software on your computer so if you hook a game console up to it forget it. The colors are dull and muddy and the black is not black, its gray. The screen on my laptop, iPad hell even my cell phone have better blacks than this monitor does. Comparing it to my dell ultrasharp monitor makes it look even worse and that monitor is 6 years old and still looks great. I was thoroughly disappointed in the quality of the colors and black levels. The picture was crisp and sharp but the colors just made it unusable, especially if you want to do any sort of graphic work on it. At work I use a Viewsonic VX2450WM-LED 24-Inch and the blacks and colors are phenomenal compared to this one. Only positive parts of this monitor were the two hdmi ports.

This monitor is just about perfect. Beautiful colors and crisp picture. I was using 2 monitors with an extended desktop. This is much better and I have more room on the desk. I always buy View Sonic Monitors, but this one is so much better than my older monitors. I couln't have asked for a better monitor.

This monitor was to have SRS premium sound. Call Viewsonic presales, and review retailer literature they all say yes. Call the Tech support line once you buy it and they know you can hardly hear it. They also know ONLY Windows 7 is compatible. They also know that the CD that is supplied won't work without Windows 7. Viewsonic's Tech support is inexperienced and next to usless. My unit came with no directions. To market a product knowing full well it will only work and then poorly, with nothing but Windows 7, is reprehensible. I'll never buy a product from such a corrupt manufacturer. Future buyers of Viewsonic products beware! This was entirely avoidable and now I have to be burdened with packaging the junk up and sending it back.dt

it is just an average LED monitor not that good as other reviews stated.pros: 23.6" screen, cheap, 2 hdmi inputscons: light bleeding is visible, text view is horrible even when selecting PC mode using hdmi input. color shift visible.

This monitor is crystal clear with no problems at all. I bought this monitor brand new for $179, when i seen the price I thought is was a typo and it for sure it was $179 with free shipping. I started to look for another one same model but noticed the price hike. But overall this monitor is worth it!

It's a great monitor, it looks very nice.The only thing the base is a bit fragile, if you force it a little you will break.The sound of the speakers is not very good, but if you have your speakers there's not a problem, because the image quality is excellent.

Got a good deal from Amazon on this during Christmas. It's got great picture quality, and the chassis is a thin and simple black design. The speaker volume is the only negative that I've found with this product - it's about as loud as what you'd find in an iPhone.

- Horrible Stand which wobbles the whole monitor all the time. Could they even go cheaper on this stand?- Horrible Picture which looks faded- Contrast? What contrast. Can this thing even do the color black? Horrible colors.This is by far the worse monitor I have ever seen.

I am very pleased with this monitor. It was a snap to set up and the display is clear and sharp. The only concern I have is the on-off switch seems fragile. Only time will tell if this is a valid concern.

Pros: The monitor has a very good picture, was easy to set up. If you want the best picture go to the menu and check the settings, the default is not set up for the best possible picture it can deliver but the menu descriptions walk you through what to change.Cons: Only one, It may say Premium sound but it sounds hollow and muffled. I have other speakers and don't rely on the monitor for sound but thought it may add to the sound, I keep the monitor muted.Overall: The picture and response time on this monitor is excellent, which is what I wanted. I'm happy with the purchase.

I had monitor Dell 2408WFP. I liked it but it wastes a lot energy (very hot as all LCD TV or monitors). I started to look new LED monitor and chose "Viewsonic VX2453MH-LED 24-Inch Ultra-thin Widescreen LED Monitor". I connected it HDMI. :((((I tried to adjust colors, brightness etc. To be short- compare to Dell it is 3 stars. Only one good it's cold and light :))I'll try to return it.

I bought this monitor about 3 weeks ago based on the great reviews it was receiving. Upgraded from Dell 24" LCD to this one. I have to say, its a little quirky. Im connected via HDMI to a ATI 3400HD and a HD4600 (I've tried both, same story), the text appears slightly fuzzy, like if you dont have clear type on. I expected it to have a crisp picture like my Dell's. The only thing I can think of is that I dont have it configured correctly. Does anyone else have this issue? Using the most recent catalyst control drivers on windows 7, resolution 1080p @60Hz. 32-bit High in Landscape.

I did a lot of on-line comparisons first and after the first month of use believe this was a great purchase. The extra width is easy on my eyes and leaves room for showing multiple applications side-by-side.

Been using this monitor about 2 weeks now. Love it.Pros:- picture quality is outstanding- Value- looks nice- built in speakersCons:- I use the built in speakers but adnittedly they are poor.- base could be better - the screen does shake fairly easilyBottom line: Great value. I would buy it again and againI listed speakers as both a pro and con. I wanted a monitor with built in speakers to reduce clutter (1 less device to plug in, less wiring, etc). I was disppointed in them but still good enough when weighed against what I gain (aforementioned clutter reduction).

I use this monitor with mi mac mini and my laptop, image quality is amazing, the only thing I dislike is the location of the switch buttons, because when I switch from my mac to my pc, I can hardly know which button switch computer. but Its only a matter of time!!!, Nice monitor I sincerely recomend this amazing monitor.

Beautiful color and great size. Item was shipped immediately and arrived in perfect condition. I have several View Sonic monitors and I am happy with all of them. This one in particular was a great price.
