I bought this camera as a gift for my mother in-law. before we give it as a gift my wife open it and make some testing. we both amazed because this camera can take a great picture like those more expensive model camera. I recommended this camera... very sharp and affordable camera.

It's a digital camera! It's not a camera without a memory card, but doesn't come with one. Nowhere does it say, or imply, that none is included. Had to call Amazon after the fact to verify. Maybe I'm an idiot, but every digital camera I've purchased prior to this one had a memory card included. No wonder it was a good deal. What a scam.

I bought this camera because I had bought the previous model in Tokyo and eventually lost it in San Fransicsco.
It is the best point and shoot camera I ever had : it is light, small and even though the lens is not fantastic, the digital signal processing it offers allows you to make picture no other camera can do (I have a Nikon D90 that cannot compare for night shot or high dynamic pictures).
I love it !

The pictures this camera takes are beautiful, it has several options to ensure that the picture will be great. Combined with a good flash memory card it records great HD videos. This camera is great and cheap!

Camera was ok but, the pictures seem to be shaken...unless held very steady, if you move even slightly, the pictures show up blurry and shaken...

I am very pleased with this camera. I have had no issues with it yet. I purchased it to take videos of my baby and it has worked great for that purpose.

As ratings state, this is a little camera with a lot of good features...like the WX9. Takes great pictures and is fast. Controls are small but can be worked effectively.

I always buy second hand cameras, I love this one, it's a really good camera and it's almost new I mean it has no scratches at all and it works perfectly! I am glad to get this product!

I really like this camera, fast, very small and clever on the on automatic settings. very pleased with this item.
But has some minuses:
1.battery is discharged almost without signal so it's difficult to determine when you need to charge it.
2.picture is a bit blurred when approaching

Over the past few years we have owned a number of lower priced digital cameras. This one is by far the best, both in ease of use and quality of pictures. The zoom is better than most. We are going to buy another like it, for his and hers cameras, since we often aren't in the same place at the same time.

Great size, easy to use. Was great to use when on vacation and didn't want to carry our larger camera. Only the on/off switch was very sensitive and I had to be careful not to touch it.

I went through Sony WX1 (lost) and WX5 (repair costs more than the price of WX50 due to my harsh abuse & lack of care) before finding WX50 which seems to beat other models on features and price. I like the WX series primarily for their low light picture taking ability, compact size and I almost never use zoom.
Not sure how long this will last, but given the fate cameras suffered in my hands and the low cost of WX50, I'd say this fits perfectly now.

Bought this for a vacation to Vietnam. Great little camera! I'm thinking about buying another. Oh, It also survived my four year old nephew's repeated attempts to "play with it" so you know it's tough.

I was using this as a camcorder and it works well. It will record 720p video and 1080i video. The downside is that too many of the setting are not manual (if the company would unlock more of the features it would be 5 stars). The optics perform well and there is not too much distortion. Another downside it that the cmos sensor will sometimes do a rolling shutter on rapidly changing brightness.
The pictures are clear and crisp.

battery needs constant re-charging, pictures are okay for a inexpensive camera .... very disappointing to say the least! would not buy again!
