I bought this camera for my wife and she loves it. I also purchased a hx 200 v a couple of weeks later. Sony out does my Nikon L810.

Love this camera, so easy to use! Price is right and so lightweight. I would recommend this camera for anyone. Can't wait to use it at my Grandson's College Graduation this weekend!

Great size, pictures and uses zeiss lens. Perfect for travel, easy to use and would recommend to anyone looking for a good camera and product. Use photo's on professional book covers. love the product.

I love the panaromaic (I know I misspelled it sorry) view and I love how its easy to use! I am still getting used to it but I love it regardless. I buy Sony camera every time

This camera is fabulous. Takes great images and video as well. The camera is very tiny and compact and even smaller in width and length than my phone. Wouldn't expect anything less from a product by Sony.

The picture quality is great at certain conditions spatially outdoors. The pictures indoors are almost always corrupted by bad flash, no flat pictures etc.

I'm not a tech savy camera buff. So if I can get it to work it must be easy.
The pictures in all modes so far have come out great, Clear as a bell. It shoots the picture when you press the button not when it wants to.
In movie mode you can shoot stills. By pressing the button.
Colors seem lifelike.
Battery life seems fine.
Have not found any cons yet, except it's a little hard to see the screen in bright sunlight, But I just pointed and shot and the pics came out great.
And sound is a little scratchy

This camera's performance compares to other cameras costing three times as much! The Zeiss lens is tops and the HD video quality is just great. I've done direct comparisons between this camera and an equivalent Canon PowerShot model and this Sony does perform much better so I'm impressed!

This is my first Sony digital camera that I ever bought. I was always been a Canon fan, but after breaking down my third Canon camera in a row, I do not want to buy Canon any more. I was always hesitant to buy Sony due to the memory card comparability. But this camera takes regular SD/SDHC cards, and I am glad that I bought it. I really like the powerful flash, faster shutter speed, great low light performance with in auto mode is a big plus. It is very compact, and yet has 5X zoom. I like the video smoothness as well. Can not expect anything more than these features for a point and shoot compact camera.

I was torn between choosing a Canon or a Sony, but because I previously owned a Sony and was happy about it, I said eh, why not. I must say, this a pretty awesome camera. I did my research, but there wasn't too much on this camera when I bought it when it first came out. So I took a chance with it.
When received it, I played around with it, and easy to use. The battery life is not bad, but I haven't done too much picture-taking recently.
It has great features that are useful when you need, ie beach, portrait settings etc. It also has that feature where you can chose a "pop" of color (red, yellow, blue, and green are the only choices).
I think the only thing I was bummed about was Macro/Micro features, my previous camera had the choice to chose if you wanted this feature on/off. But because its autofocus, it takes a little longer, and you have to figure out the distance and zoom you want to shoot.
I haven't tried the "Smile" detection feature, I thought it was kind of weird, but I guess I have to try it out.

This camera is the perfect size and takes excellent pictures. The features on the camera also set it apart. I look forward to going on trips and having it in my pocket!!!

This is a great point-and-click camera. Great for the person that needs a picture in a jiffy and does not want to carry a bulky camera around. When we print the pictures out, we cannot tell that it was from a point-and-click camera.

For the most part, I love this little camera for shots when I don't need flash,but when I do, every image is washed out bright, it really ruins pics. I wish Sony would adjust this in the auto intelligent mode! I am now shopping for another camera and I have only had this one for a year.

In this day and age of slimmer and lighter is better, this camera is a bit bulky. However, it takes great pics and has a 3D function as well.

This takes really good pictures and a very good battery life. With the mini usb I can charge the camera with my phone cord. The buttons are kind of small.

This camera is the best money I've ever spent on a camera. It takes crisp pictures and it's really easy to use. It has a lot of cool options that I will probably never use, but it's always fun to know they're there.
This also takes awesome videos. You can shoot in HD and get a really great quailty video. I use this to shoot youtube videos, so it does the job I need it to do. I highly recommend this!

After lugging around a DSLR for years, was finally persuaded that I needed a compact camera to capture unplanned moments with our toddler. This camera is so small that I sometimes forget that its in my pocket. Images are ok for use on Facebook or Picasa but are really washed out under florescent or indoor lighting.
Pros:
Really easy to use, just put it in one of the intelligent modes and off you go
Really light and small
Surprisingly, the battery lasts more than 200 shots
Pretty fast and pretty blur-free action shots
The panorama mode was really cool, especially when shooting landscapes
Cons:
Low-light images (even with flash) are really washed out
There is no way to control the flash
Images may appear overexposed on the LCD screen, but actually looked accurate when viewed on the monitor
Image processing is a bit slower than what I'm used to, but to compensate I just put it in burst-mode most of the time
Edit:
Had to knock off one more star...there is a lot of details lost in the images, and there seems to be no way of turning off compression or noise reduction.

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX50 is a very fast, 5x zoom ultracompact with lots of automatic shooting options, and very good photo and video quality.Overall, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX50 produces very good photos both indoors and out. Exmor R CMOS sensor is great in low light. This camera replaces my old Sony DSC-W220. The first thing I noticed was how much smaller it was compared to my old one. The smaller size allows it to easily fits in pocket/purse.
Cons The case of the camera is made of all plastic, I like the feel of Aluminum much better.
Recommend buying 2.7" LCD Optical Glass Screen Protector, if you look you can find one for a few dollars.

This item arrived fairly quickly, but not in very good condition. The ad said it just had cosmetic scratches. It was sent through the mail in a small box with one piece of balloon plastic on one side of it. When it arrived it had a crack across the top. I ordered it for a young friend and he says he'll keep it, but I think he was a little disappointed with the condition.
