For A hundred dollars I know you're not going to get great pictures, and that was true of this camera. The really disappointing feature is the battery. If you're going out for a day of photography, you better have two or three batteries, and charge them all for the next day. The battery life is non-existent.

I needed an affordable compact digital camera for the wife and I, and this camera is a great combination of ease of use for her and still has the serious control settings I like. I think the picture quality is very good for the price

I bought this model to replace an older Sony point and shoot that I've used for a few years. I was very disappointed in the WX50. The photo quality was inconsistent--some dark, some blown out, some just right--and the videos were horrible. It shoots 1080p (yay!) at 60i (boo!). It's the "i" that disappointed me most, as any movement reveals that the video is interlaced. I saw no way to change the settings to 30p, so now I'm left to deinterlace my videos in iMovie. I returned it to Amazon and instead purchased a Canon 110 HS which has provided me with very consistent and predictable performance. Do yourself a favor and stay away from the Sony Cyber Shot WX50.

This camera is great for what I need it for. I am very happy with the quality and the features. Shoots full 1080p video and 4k still photos. I use a micro sd card in it with the adapter and use my phone to import photos i want to share. Works great with Android phones with micro my 16gb sd card. I no longer need to get to a computer to share photos, but when i do works fine. Different themes to choose from and many features to get the right shot,

This camera looks fancy, but it is not cyber-shot...
Actually if you take a picture from a moving object it will get to blurred!!!

This camera is amazing!!!!! Such a wonderful value for an awesome piece of technology!!! many different settings to choose from, I just keep it on auto detect and it knows what to do..... everything is clear, amazing print quality!!!! love this camera sooooo much!!!! a great investment for me!!!!

I bought this camera for my aunt as she wanted to replace her existing sony camera which had got damaged. It takes great photos and the panoramic feature is a fantastic feature. Like all Sony cameras it is very easy to use and takes great photos. Would easily recommend it to others, especially at the price at which we bought it, just a little over $110.

Love this camera--beautiful, high quality pictures and really easy to use. Love the intelligent auto setting so that the camera adjusts settings based on what it recognizes in the frame (i.e. portrait, landscape, etc.). Fast shutter speed and great battery life.. The battery can be charged with a micro-USB which is easy as well.
Also, the panoramic setting and 3-d filming is nice but not necessary. Great camera for a great price--the fact that is' the 2012 model doesn't make it a bad camera!

One for own usage one year ago, when it was like $180. Two as gifts, for family members, $110 around.
Neat and pretty. Good pictures taken easily. It indeed has one shortcoming, slow to power on/start to shoot, as it need two or three seconds to pop out the lens. So you cannot reply on it as fast shooter.

I got this before i went on a baseball road trip with my buddies which we do every year and it had been a solid 8 years since I bought my last digital camera so it was time. It's a good camera. Pictures come out super crisp, and its small so I can throw it in my pocket without much worry. My big problem is night photos come out pretty bad due to the flash being way to powerful. Anytime I take a night photo of people they all come out white, or i turn the flash off and everyone comes out yellow looking since it is trying to pick up the light. Even of whole groups from above the flash is just way to powerful. No middle ground. I used to get so excited taking pictures with my old camera and was upset when it broke. I can't say I'm as thrilled with this one and after one big trip...I might be getting another or just sticking with the iphone. For day pictures though it works great.

This one i choose as a gift for my friend.. it is one of the low reasonable priced cameras. but the night photo shoots are exceptional.. the details in the night photos are great. also the day light photography is perfect... it is very handy for its size and weight....

We were in need of a good point and shoot camera that delivered the same high quality photos as our DSLR but that could be taken to places that don't allow our "detachable lens camera". This fit the bill. This camera is light, slender and has a solid feel to the body. It takes great photos and offers numerous options that are user friendly. The price was fantastic and much less that in the retail stores. I highly recommend this camera.

My very old Sony camera was terrific. This not so much.
It works, but the quality of the shots don't compare to my old cybershot.

This camera is great! I have a larger Fuji and wanted something smaller and more convenient this camera fits that perfect. I haven't had much time to really get into this camera but for the point and shoot it is AWESOME! The blur function is really good too!

bought this for my son and he is loving it. It's very small an yet takes a great photo. simple to use with some fun features. wish they offered option to buy case for it and memory card all at once.

I got this camera for the size, it's perfect to take travelling as it fits in my pocket. However, the camera turns ON when you hit the playback button, which is on the back in the lower right corner, and SUPER ACCESSIBLE. When you hit it twice, it puts the camera into shooting mode and actually makes the lens pop out. This is super annoying when it's in your pocket or purse and your camera keeps turning on all on its own.
I really wish Sony had kept the on/off button for the purpose of turning the camera on and off and NOT have other buttons turn the camera on. What a waste of battery. I'm now afraid to bring it anywhere as when I actually want to use it the battery is dead because it has been sitting on in my pocket.
This camera was almost perfect, as the pictures and functions are great, but what an awful design flaw.
I really hope Sony issues a firmware update of some sort that allows you to disable that button from turning the camera on. That would be great.

I bought this camera mainly to use as a Vlogging camera. I did my research and chose this one. When taking video it is crisp, clean and smooth, the audio is fantastic for a compact camera. For taking stills I get the same result, crisp, clean pictures. I am very pleased with this camera.
