A surprisingly wonderful camera in a very small package. Rather expensive but you get what you paid for. It could become my "Go To" camera and I own 7 Nikons.

For the price you can't beat it. Not as tight of a fit of the Sony brand but then it is about 50.00 less. Good quality and excellent company to deal with.

This is a very poor product. Does not fit the camera well and it covers up the battery charger hole. I do not recommend any MegaGear.

I have to say I'm disappointed. It shoots great daytime shots but I mainly got this camera thinking I could take some good quality night shots without flash. It did not perform better than my 10 year old Canon Powershot A95. The Sports Action setting did not catch good night shots, the Handheld Twilight and High Sensitivity settings caught some good shots but many were blurry.

This camera is simply the most amazing little camera every made. I shoot with a Fujifilm X-T1 and a 23mm, 10-24mm, 35mm and 55-200mm. That's a lot to carry around. I've been reading the reviews of this camera, and a few of my friends have them. I finally decided to join the party and I am not disappointed. This camera takes amazing photos. Just amazing. The F1.8 aperture, the electronic view finder, the articulating LCD, and so on really make it stand out.
Sony has really produced a marvel of technology here. So happy with this purchase.

Best pocketable camera. Period. It's like having a DSLR with you everywhere you go. Just put it in your pocket and live life. This camera takes amazing photos, but it's not surprising given its full frame sensor and German Leica lens. The RX100 III is now out, but not worth the extra money. Buy this, and you'll be happy for many years.

Great pocketable camera - superior to others I've tried. Downsized from an OMD EM-5 which had superior results. Far superior. But its a bigger camera so that's the tradeoff. I'd give it 5 stars if it didn't shut down when I close the viewfinder. Maybe Sony will fix with a firmware upgrade.

I will not go into the technical details of the camera. Professional reviewers did and will review it much better than me. All I can say is that for such a small camera, and from a still-photo perspective, there is almost nothing you cannot adjust. The photo quality is amazing even at high ISO. The viewfinder and tilting screen are more than rare in such cameras. My only take, and it is not worth taking out a star, is the size. I have a Canon PowerShot S120 and it is "pocketable." I am a big guy, and I can still cannot fit it in my pocket. It is still small enough though and truly worth buying.

I bought this camera for low light pictures. It worked beautifully. Took it on a European trip and took over 1500 pictures, indoor and outside - very happy with the photos. Wish it came with a smaller carrying case (had to buy that separately). This camera is expensive, but worth it.

Best camera I've ever owned. Especially coming in such a small form factor. Most of the accessories in this bundle I don't use, so if i had to do again i'd skip this bundle

I bought the RX100 Mark I as my first "real" camera when it came out, and I was already blown away. I decided to sell the old one to get this new model, and it was definitely worth it.
I won't try to list all the great things about it, since the rest of the internet has done a good job with that. I'm sure I could think of some very minor annoyances to mention, but to be honest this revision literally has everything I could ask for and more.
It also *looks* beautiful, which is more than can be said for some other cameras competing on size.

I hesitated at the RX100 and RX100 MKII because of the 28mm lens. I was excited for the Canon G1X MKII until I heard just before it launched, the Sony RX100 MKIII was coming out. I'm glad I waited
I would have bought the RX100 MKIII even without the built in EVF which by the way is amazing not pixelated at all like the Sony A7r. I'm not going to go into the entire specs as you know if your reading this what i'm talking out, however, this camera I've been waiting for since the Panasonic LX3.
This is a 3 to 5 year one to beat on upgrade in my opinion. Well done Sony!

I really like this camera, but before you buy it, you need to ask if you REALLY need it. This camera has the quality of a 600$ camera. What makes it so expensive? It's size. So if you really want a small camera with GREAT quality, get it, but if you just need a high quality camera, I suggest getting a canon or a nikon for less than 700$

My only gripe is the glass on the back screen scratches very easy.Get a screen protector.

Great value with the battery, card, and case. Haven't really used the rest too much, but everything came in great condition. The camera is awesome. Great low-light photos, and very easy manual mode for a point and shoot, and Auto Mode also works great for quick precious moments and run and gun shots. That large sensor makes a HUGE difference. I have a couple of DSLRs and a micro four thirds, but I was looking for something less cumbersome and more portable for some upcoming trips, and this camera is perfect! Not as small as others like my old Canon s95 and s100, but this camera performs better than them both (and I love Canon).
For all you tech junkies, this thing pairs with my phone with ease (Samsung Galaxy Note 3). With the NFC sharing feature, transferring photos to my phone is as easy as tapping them together. Now the photos across my social media apps will look even more stunning :)
If there is one thing I would complain about, it is that the camera itself doesn't come with a charger (charge through the camera). Not very useful if you want to shoot while you're charging. I would suggest getting a separate charger and some batteries. I've seen them on Amazon for around $20, and I'll probably do so before going on my trips.
Other than that small thing, I have no regrets buying.

As good as an entry level and many ProSuma DSLR cameras and you can put it in our pocket, easily. Images are GREAT, but not as good in low light as a good DSLR. It is my lightweight backup when traveling internationally. I've recommended it to 3 of my friends who purchased this camera and they are still my friends.... A fourth friend is considering purchasing it...

I can't give enough praise for this camera and Sony for making it. I bought the RX100 about 3 weeks before this one came out from Best Buy. I was a little taken back that the Best Buy guy didn't even tell me that a new one was coming out. I live in San Diego and go to Comic-Con each year and the pictures I took with the RX100 were amazing. I returned it and ordered the RX100M2 thru Best Buy but it went on back-order when it was supposed to ship. I saw it available and in stock through Amazon and quickly cancelled my Best Buy order and ordered it through Amazon. I got it the next day and quickly started to measure it up against the RX100. The extra features are really great. The NFC for transferring photos to your smart phone is awesome. I am having issues with trying to transfer images to my computer (PC) but I hope this will be resolved in time. For right now I just connect it via cable. I didn't have the RX100 for that long to do much comparison testing but the images so far a really great. The auto settings are good but if you buy this camera start getting into more manual shooting to really use the capabilities of this camera. The LCD screen is very clear and the ability to tilt is a bonus for me since I have a 1 year old so I don't have to get low to film or take pictures of him. It's so compact as well you can take it with you pretty much anywhere. It has a video modes that some of my friends with more expensive DSLR camera don't even have. I am no pro by any means but I have been getting better with my photography for sure by using the camera. I like it that I can't buy lenses for it as well so it will save me money.
