excellent camera for a novice photographer and easy to carry around. I have sony slr and nex cameras and it all went to waste,
have to use different lens for applications and it's not suitable for me. I am sorry I spend so much money in the past when a
camera like the rx100m3 would have filed all my requirements.

there was a problem with defective charging cords in many of the originally shipped cameras. I returned this camera. I was able to identify the problem at the local camera store where I bought it after returning the one I bought online.

Nice little camera. A little bulky. Much heavier than a Coolpix size camera. Problem with batteries. Battery life is very low, so you need at least one extra battery and ideally a battery charger instead of having to charge the batteries in the camera via USB cable.

This case does NOT fit the M2 version of the RX100, it is not deep enough to accommodate the lens. See photo http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/customer-media/product-gallery/B00EQ1XTRU/ref=cm_cr_dp_cust_img_see_all_img0

It may accommodate the M1, but I still don't rate it highly, as the supplied strap is far too flimsy to trust with a camera like this, and the lining of the case was very poorly attached, not stuck down properly.

Will be returning.

I liked it a lot, but it is NOT a pocket camera. It is too large and too heavy for that purpose. It wasn't a good fit in a jacket pocket, for the same reason. It is a terrific camera otherwise.

Absolutely love this camera. It is easy enough to pull out and shoot but advance enough for many photographer as a secondary camera when you don't want to bring the big one out.

It is portable and is always in my bag. Works very well in low light. Good dynamic range. Plenty of features that makes advance users happy.

This is a great camera. I struggled with the decision to buy it since I am a relative novice when it comes to photography but I am glade I made the investment. Pictures are beautiful and there is plenty of info on the internet about this camera if you don't know much about all of its features.

Why buy only a great camera for this price? This package contains so much added value, that makes the product more functional, ready at all times and handy for every use. Still exploring the camera, but able to figure out much intuitively, without digging into a book. Fill flash does well, plenty of zoom, and lotsa pixels make editing close in produce a great result. More to learn, but All Systems Go after a fun week shooting in several different light/action/focal situations.

This is a highly functional camera with options for those with years of photography experience all the way down to those, like my wife, who just want a point and shoot for family gatherings. While my dad, who made a living behind a camera, will use the many features within the menus, my loving while will simply place the selector on Auto and shoot away.

The color, warmth and tonal range are excellent as well as the low light operation. I highly recommend this camera for a carry about when the shot has to look great, but you haven't read all the latest on scene setup.

I'm a fan of Canon, and thought I would try this highly reviewed camera...takes great pictures but one of the critical buttons on this $800 camera went bad after only a month and a half of light use. I have never had any such issues with Canon products.

I received the camera with a small scratch on the lcd and few finger print smudges on the lens. I dropped a mail to focus group and they replied back saying that they open all the camera box to right down the serial number of the camera. If they are opening the box by themselves then why is it being selled as new

I call this my "magic camera." I still cannot believe how well it performs in low light! I really like the design. It is sleek without being to flashy. I don't have a problem with it slipping out of my hand like some people mentioned. I do always wear the wrist strap though, just in case!

An advanced pocketable camera with near SLR quality shots. Nothing else in the P&S sector comes close. But you'll find you need to immediately order the SONY handgrip made for this camera. The weight of this camera and the smooth sides makes it want to slip out of your hands. Since there is such a small amount of room on the back of the camera for you to grip with your hands, I find myself accidentally hitting the on/off or even the shutter button on the top when I attempt to prevent smearing the back LCD with my fingers. In general this camera could use a much larger handgrip than even the one that SONY makes. On the positive side I'm tickled that I can get actual good bounce flash shots by holding the flash back with my left hand. The results are surprisingly good.Overall great quality, but you'll need to learn how to hold this camera without dropping it, or smearing the LCD screen.

I actually really like the look and feel of this case, the only problem is, it doesn't quite fit.

I purchased this in conjunction with Sony's LCJ-RXC case to see which one worked best. They are both high quality materials and construction. The two bottom pieces work and fit almost identically. The megagear case does not allow access to the micro-usb charging port while on. The main problem stems from the top portion of the case. It simply doesn't hold the camera as it should. In a side by side comparison, the LCJ-RXC case is at least a 1/2" shorter than the megagear case. This 1/2" size difference allows the top piece to jiggle around while closed.

I really wanted to like this case and actually prefer the look of the megagear to that of the LCJ-RXC. Unfortunately, it just feels sloppy and unsecure on the camera.

Camera takes excellent photographs. Took it for its first outing to the Everglades and Ft Lauderdale. Excellent photos, videos and I did not miss the larger zoom of my existing Lumix. The size is perfect and much more enjoyable to carry. The extra battery and the 64GB disk are great. The other items are very inexpensive.

Met all of my expectations that I had read about beforehand. Image quality is very good. Operational controls are mostly intuitive. Love the size (that's why I bought it). Slips easily into my pocket. The viewfinder is very sharp. The only thing I wish it had is a larger zoom capability.

Great camera. I have both the original and the new one. Viewfinder is very good quality but LCD is so good I only need it 10 to 15 percent of the time. Smaller zoom range has not been an issue for my applications. My only complaint is not as much easy focus control. You can get there but it is a bit of work.

A quality leather product that fits like a glove. Easy to fit and remove, and the lens protection is removed by undoing two press studs so that the body of the camera is protected whilst hanging round your neck. It can also be mounted on a tripod without removing the case. It is not a bulky item but it will protect the camera from everything except water!
Don't hesitate to buy one it will last forever.
A truly 5* product.

This is a fabulous case, love the appearance and old-skool styling of it. The only drawbacks are that I'd love to be able to plug in the USB cord without having to loosen the attachment screw and a more secure method of attaching the strap to the case body.

Sony should fix the problems that came with my new $700 camera:The problems are intermittent, but chronic: Sometimes the camera works well, but it often works against me, frustrating my attempts to take fine photos.When in shooting mode, zooming sometimes switches from shooting to reviewing. By the time I am back in shooting mode, the subject is gone.When reviewing, zooming and panning sometimes switches to a different image.The time stamp switched on for several days, then switched off without my input. I can't remove the stamps.When reviewing, zooming always jumps first to maximum zoom, so you don't know what speck you are looking at till you zoom back out and back in again. I sent the camera to Sony to correct these issues. I thought perhaps the problems resulted from software and that the software would simply be reinstalled.Someone did call me to confirm my complaints, but couldn't reproduce them and shipped to camera back unrepaired. Camera is still broken.

The Sony DSC-RX100M 11 Cyber-shot Digital Still Camera 20.2MP was very disappointing. I gifted my daughter with this camera, she used it GENTLY for a very short time (less than 9 months) and it stopped working. I would NOT recommend this camera. Thankfully it was still under warranty but who wants to bother with that when you can get a Canon or Panasonic or Nikon that is sturdy and doesn't break within a year.

And when I say little I mean LITTLE! It's amazing how such high quality photos can come out of a camera the size of three Twix bars stacked on top of each other. This particular configuration of accessories was a nice addition. The camera case is sturdy and fits like a glove. I have yet to master 1/10th of all the ability of this camera. I'm so glad I purchased this camera! I look forward to learning more so I can make beyyer use of all its qualities. Just know that it has a high learning curve. You can use it just fine at the default settings right out of the box, but it takes some getting used to the fact that this camera is so much more than a point and shoot. I recommend it too serious camera buffs.

there is no contest, no other camera can take the pics this monster can gulp down. My pictures look like they were taken by a DSLR. Portraits shots are great, defocused background makes them look professional.

I would buy this camera 10 times over.

Base of case fits camera exactly, cover seems a tiny bit too large, however considering this is a great value case I don't mind at all. Love the leather and the finish inside is soft to protect and to avoid scratches. Can't wait for this to become older looking as it needs a bit more character from handling and use to make it have that real retro look. Other then the SD card and extra batteries and charger, the rest of the items in this package are useless or can be had for little to no cost. The camera itself is outstanding. Great features for the casual user and software and ways to connect to smart phones and computers that make the whole transferring of pictures easy to do. I bought a travel case for the camera from Sony that is excellent so I can hang it around my neck. You have to keep the batteries charged. Don't think that a charge will last even if they sit unused for a couple weeks. It's a perfect match for my GoPro camera so I have no excuses for not getting great pics/video now.

I was looking for all of the DSLR features I could get in a small, easily transported package. After a lot of research on most of the small cameras on the market I opted for this model. After two months of use I know I made the right decision. I shoot primarily RAW photos and 60P HD video. This camera handles both very well. Since my primary camera is a SONY Alpha99 I adapted easily to the menu and feature list and find that I now use this camera 90% of the time. I don't need to list all the features, you can find those on any product description. But, I don't think there is another small camera in the same class. As info I did purchase the recommended SONY flash (very compact and useful) and the accessory external microphone (probably useful but I haven't used it enough to tell). I would buy this camera again without question.

I spent this weekend playing with the new RX100 II camera. Here is what I observed:Pros:- Impressive still images indoors and outdoors, compared to an entry level DSLR like Canon T5i.- Excellent screen resolution, more like a retina display.- Most of the shots had excellent focus, except a few. I took about 200+ photos mostly in full auto and 'P' mode.Cons:- Complicated menu system, I found it to be a little non-intuitive. Maybe coming from Canon background?- Tilt screen is very restrictive (no swivel) in motion, requires some effort to move the screen (prone to damage), not a clever design.- The screen and the frame scratches easily. I already got some scratches and damage on the screen frame carrying in the pocket with keys. Sony should have provided some kind of a basic case for a camera at this price point.- You have to manually switch modes between stills/Video/MP4 during playback. I found this to be quite inconvenient.- Average video quality. AVCHD folder is not simple when accessing files on the computer.- Not very convenient to hold if you have big hands (tiny buttons), strongly advise to use the included strap around the wrist to avoid dropping.- Flash pop-up is noisy and dramatic for such a small camera. Scares pets away!- I would have preferred a dedicated charger to charge additional batteries.In summary, I believe this camera is on the expensive side for what it has to offer.

I did lots of research and wanted a portable camera that i'm more likely to lug around than a big SLR. I was also a bit worried buying this camera online, but everything arrived quickly with ALL the little extras shown in the photo. My coworker bought this same camera and paid more for it at a store so i feel i got a good deal. So far the videos and pictures i've taken of my kids are great. Love the tilting screen function so i can take lots of candid shots since i walk around with it incognito.

A lot of functionality in this camera. The only thing I haven't had a chance to do with it is try out the low light capability, but all things in time I guess. Shallow depth of field and it's panoramic capabilities are pretty awesome. Nice step between a DSLR and a point and shoot.

Like others, wanted to like it. Two piece. Gaps on either side when attached. Poor fit. So...if it is very important to create a faux-retro look for your cool high tech camera, and you don't mind sketchy protection, added bulk and weight, and lots snaps....go for it. But it's a bit like carrying your iPhone in a hiking boot.
