It's been 2 months since I bought this and it fell and got banged up pretty good, and still it was able to function as intended. Pretty fast speed too. I get around 20-200mb/s depending on what I am copying and to wear I am copying it. That speed is good enough for me. The thing about this is before you use it, you have to format it first.

Product does not hold up. Mine started acting up within 6 months of purchase. I would not recommend buying this product.

I'm using this drive on my Macbook Pro for a time machine backup drive and it does very nicely. Love the short cord that is stored on the device. Easy to travel with and - no hassle remembering and storing a longer cord. (Which is also included in the package.) Also love no external power is needed for this drive to function.I may get another one for video-backup purposes, but would love to see the manufacturer produce another color so I don't confuse the drives. (Superficial wish, I know!) Maybe the new color will be the larger capacity A90 they come out with, so I may wait for that anyway. Maybe people don't tend to want more than one, but I love the size and portability of these - would use them over my older plug-in externals I have.The drive seems fast enough and stores enough for my backup purposes. (Mac only gets USB 2.0) Glad my husband found the review on this drive so I could try it out. It's not a brand I'm familiar with but was willing to give it a try once I saw it got good reviews. I'd recommend it to others.

I have dropped it many times (not when running, of course) and even put it in laundry in a pocket and it survived without a hitch. Came out nice and clean too!

This drive seems to work well at storing information, but the high pitched noise emitted from it while plugged into my computer is physically giving me headaches.Will be trying to return.

Ive gone through 2 external hard drives from all the top brands; so far this has lasted with all the abuse from traveling! crossing my fingers that i wont be buying a 4th one!

I've had this HD for about four months now, and thus far, it has served me very well. I love how small it is (and that it has a tiny USB cable contained within its body-- so helpful for someone like me who uses it only intermittently and who has a lot of cables floating around!) and how solidly built it is. I also love that you don't need to externally power it-- another nice change from my former external HD! It does have one problem, though-- the USB jack/cable connection is kind of loose, so invariably it disconnects itself at least once everytime I use it. That hasn't hurt data storage yet, and I'm sure it could be avoided if I used my laptop and the HD at a desk or table, but it worries me a bit.

This device is very rugged and does a nice job of supporting the main cpu by storing pictures, video and music files which take a lot of memory and slow the computer.
