Switched from iPhone 3G to Nokia Lumia 900 and have no regrets. My contract was up and I was looking for a new phone. I switched primarily because I wanted a bigger screen and picking the Lumia 900 for my wife and myself was a no brainer. With the $100 rebate Nokia had at the time of the Lumia 900 initial introduction, this flagship Nokia phone cost me virtually nothing. With taxes and everything, I would have to spend over $500 between me and my wife if we wanted to get the iPhone 4S. So, $500 for 2 iPhone 4S or $0 for 2 Lumia 900? Like I said, it was a no brainer.I've had my Lumia 900 for close to 2 months now and am still very happy with my purchase. Beautiful design. I absolutely love the unibody design and cyan color. Beautiful AMOLED screen. The deep black feature just makes the colors pop out more. It may not have the highest resolution, but honestly, I don't think resolution matters much when you're dealing with such small devices. I watch Youtube HD videos on my phone and the video quality is just awesome to me.The camera is good (both still and video), and could be better, given all the hype it received for its Carl Zeiss lens. This is an area that could use some improvement.Windows 7.5 Mango OS is a joy to use. Very easy/intuitive. The Live Tile feature is pretty cool. Syncing the Lumia 900 with my computer, Xbox 360 game console, Microsoft Office, etc.. via SkyDrive (over 25G storage)or via Zune is a breeze. It has a lot of cool features, too many to mention. The phone is also super fast with 4G LTE speed.When it comes to apps, the Windows phone does not compare to iPhone or Android. But at 90,000 apps, it has most of the major ones. Windows is still adding more apps every day. I think in time this will no longer be an issue as the platform becomes more popular (especially with the arrival of Windows 8).One minor flaw is the chrome piece around the camera lens scratches very easily. This can also be easily fixed by putting a piece of clear tape over it, in addition to using a case for the phone.Don't get me wrong. I'm not here to bash iOS and Android. Both are great platforms. Windows OS is another GREAT alternative. If you haven't invested too much in the iPhone or Android ecosystem, this Windows phone is an excellent choice. I absolutely love my Lumia 900. I'm confident you'll feel the same way too if you keep an open mind and give it a try.

this phone is defective it doesn't work any comes messed up I can't believe I paid for this crap.it broke down on me the first day I got it and I had to send it to a repair shop..this phone is literally no good please be aware of it.and the sender is crap I got it from a bull crap sender

The Nokia Lumia 900 is my first Windows phone. Previously I have tried numerous Android phones like the Galaxy S2 as well as an Iphone 4. I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. This phone got amazing reviews from numerous tech websites, but most people I know have trashed the Windows Phone OS. I decided that they were just haters and Apple fanboys so I decided to give it a try and see for myself.I have not been disappointed at all. I have found the Lumia 900 to be the best performing phone that I have ever known. The OS is quick and responsive, navigation is seamless, and the interface is absolutely beautiful. Die hard Android fans tell me all the time that they prefer choice and want to be able to customize the interface. True Windows OS customization options are limited to color changes but I prefer the much more pleasant Metro style to Androids more customizable interface. The camera is pretty high performance. There are some phones out there with better cameras but for the price of this phone you won't find a better one. The screen is also beautiful. Again, there are phones out there with higher resolutions, but the colors are vibrant, the blacks are very black.Windows OS also has custom made apps like the ESPN app that are much more user friendly and easier on the eye's then their Android and Apple counter parts. The Lumia 900 also has exclusive apps like the native turn by turn navigation that won't use your data plan. I found that to come in handy many times.The only weak point of the phone and the OS in general that I have found is the selection of apps. Windows doesn't have nearly as large an install base as Android and Apple so developers seem to be taking a wait and see approach with the Windows platform. The professionally developed apps that are there are amazing and beautiful and tend to be better than on other platforms. The total amount of professionally developed apps is lacking, however. Most of the apps on the market are made by ametuers and indie developers and it shows in their quality. Hopefully adoption of Windows will accelerate and we will get more professionally developed apps soon.Overall, I highly recommend this phone. Windows OS is smooth and slick. If there are certain apps you have to have check out the Window's market online first to be sure they are available but other than that, this phone is amazing.

Updated 6/26/2012Microsoft Operating System, Windows 8 mobile, will not be available for this phone. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE! You will end having an out of date OS in less than 3 months.For that reason I am decreasing the rate from 3 starts to 2.Other Updates:The reason my review is here is because Amazon did not have the white model available to review.I went to the AT&T store during the first week of usage to complain about the rattle on the vibration. However, a brand new device out of the box was having the same issue. Not only that, all the representatives at AT&T were using the Nokia 900 (different colors) and they all had the rattle. In other words, the vibration on this phone is louder than any other phone in is category such as Iphone, and HTC.This is an expensive device. Yes I know you could buy it for $99 at AT&T, but that was only for customers who were eligigle for an upgrade. Otherwise the phone is (was $500). Also, the white model was not available right away. It came out a week later than the other colors.This is not a good phone. I cannot recommend this phone to anybody. Also, I am pretty sure that 50% of the people who replied to my review are just paid by Nokia to write good reviews. Avoid this phone.Original Review:I have the white Nokia Lumia 900 since it came out. I really like the OS. Windows Phone looks sharop and I like all the social and MS Office integration. It is an excellent tool to work with MS Office or SharePoint.However, I am not satisfied with the hardware because of the following:1. The vibration. It is so loud that it will wake you up in the middle of the night. Depending on how you hold the phone it will rattle.2. The volume. It seems you can go all the way from 0-30. However, from 1-14 it just sounds the same.3. Phone does NOT include a headset. This phone is Nokia's flagship and very expensive. Nokia should have included a headset so people could listen their tunes and answer a call. This is an extra accesorie that cost $100.4. The camera is just ok. Sometimes it is even hard to believe that it has 8mp because the pictures look just ok.I have been using an Iphone since they came out. I had no issues swicthing from an Iphone to the Nokia. From a hardware perspective, you will miss the home buttom, and the location of the unlock/lock screen buttom which in the Nokia is on the side.

I come from Android and also I had a Apple iPhone 4S and the only App missing on the Marketplace (talking about me and the apps I use the most) are Instagram and OVO (and I've heard Instagram is comming soon to Windows Phones before this year ends). I have Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Foursquare, MSN, KiK, Viber, Badoo, SkyDrive, Tango, Skype,Youtube,Shazam, SoundHound, Netflix, IMDb, Evernote, ESPN, CNN, Univision,SkyMap, TuneIn Radio, WhatsApp, Wikipedia and Weather much more... Also the Nokia App (Nokia Maps, Drive, City Lens, Music, Trailers, Creative Studio, Counters, Soundtracker, Transit, Contacts Transfer, Camera Extras and much more). The Marketplace keeps growing. The integration of Facebook, twitter, MSN, LinkedIn and Foursquare in my Windows Phone is AMAZING! I can put comments and give ''likes'' directly from my phone due to the AMAZING integretion between those Apps and my phone. and I don't have to go to the Facebook or Twitter App to do that.I'm totally in love with my Nokia Lumia 900 and its amazing OS! The phone may simply stop charging in few months. If you don't believe me, google "My nokia lumia 900 won't charge" and find out yourself how many people are having this issue. In addition your nokia may not have a warranty in the US.Please don't waste your money.

I switched to this Windows Phone from an iPhone 4 and love it! At first I wasn't sure since phones have come a long way since I got my iPhone two years ago. I also had two Androids (the Galaxy Note and Galaxy S3) after the iPhone but returned it and went back to Windows. Here are my reasons why I switched.Screen size: The iPhone seems so tiny after using other phones. I know new ones are coming out but why wait? Also, who knows exactly what the new iPhone will be like. The 4.3 inch screen on the Nokia Lumia 900 was perfect. Large enough to enjoy for videos (YouTube and Netflix) but not too large as with the Note. The stats for the resolution are not as dazzling the in person, the screen is clear and beautiful.Operating system: Beautiful to look at and easy to use. Android is not what I would call intuitive. Customizable yes, but kinda hard to use. I know people will say I should learn to use the phone better but I don't think it should require that much effort. With the iPhone, use is as simple as can be. The Windows Phone is just as simple. Set up is a completed in seconds. I love the live tiles, especially the Me and People tiles. The integration with social media is far better than anything on Android or Apple.Build quality: The iPhone was wonderful quality. No complaints there. the look has become a bit stale to me over the past few years though. Plus, you must use a case to protect it. The Lumia 900 is just as nice of built but with a fresher look to it. It is also much more durable. I don't even use a case with it. The black coloring goes through the case completely making scratches hard to see. The Android phones I had were both Samsung and made of plastic. They felt like plastic too. I was terrified to drop them in a way I would never be with an iPhone or the Lumia 900.The main drawback is the lack of apps. Still, there are over 100,000 apps and more all the time. A few are missing like Pandora but I'm OK with using I Heart Radio instead. The number of apps is deceiving anyway. There must be thousands of fart apps for Android.The price of this phone has been dropped to only $49. It is an absolute steal for that price.

I upgraded from the Nokia Lumia 800 to the 900 as my wife fell in love with my 800 and now it's hers lol. This phone simply does everything flawlessly, no freezing, no lag, no app crashing, great reception, and no bugs as of yet, all of which I have experienced on my Iphone 3gs/4/4s and 5 is a joke. Area's where my iphone would lose reception constantly does not affect the Nokia Lumia what so ever. The camera is awesome, takes great photo's and even has auto-fix feature which corrects any distortion or light conditions in your photo's. It intagreates seemlessly with Microsoft surface and also Windows all via your microsoft user name. Email is a breeze with a great live tile of the same name, messageing is excellent easy to read with the customizable background and text colors which is not something possible on Iphones, the app store is second to none with great actually functioning apps and quick downloads. The design of the phone is also great, the screen is bright and crisp, it doesn't scratch easily like the Iphone or android phones, the housing is a solid design designed to take hard hits without breaking unlike again the iphone which pretty much costs hundreds of dallors or explodes on contact. The speed of the Windows Phone OS is also amazing, I did speed tests with the Lumia 800 and 900 vs Iphoone 4/4s/5 and it blows them away. Apps launch faster, they dont crash, reception is way better and browsing it light years faster. Even Suri when asked what is the best smartphone ever awnsered Nokia Lumia LOL that was until Apple patched it to say it didn't know (you can search that it's true). Anyhow very happy with purchase and service, if you get one of these phones you will have all you need right in your hand, and it's super reliable, well built, bulit to last and well supported.

Ooooh That hurts... no more wp8 updates wow ..I happy to be back without nokia lumiaNokia Lumia is 900 flagship phone for MS and Nokia but-- > H/W it sucks.--> Only looks doesn;t do any good if you are real smartphone user You will know value of H/W and Apps.When u talk about a smartphone which is another PC in hand below are few things you expect.I am talking in comparison to top android and Galaxy S2, Iphone , nexus kind of phones bec this is top end phone from nokia and MS.Below are the things apart from good phone call quality (which nokia is good).1. Lot of Apps (apple, android, Nokia/MS)2. Easily manageable. (tiles how many will you keep and do you think that's a only thing in my life is to arrange the tiles with top 10 apps ha ha what a stupid idea. (android, apple, Nokia/MS)3. Open to search engines not bing alone. (apple) (why nokia i have to marry your bing its boring)4. Games. (apple, android)5. Customization of my smartphone this is key. (android) ( had nokia given customization rather than 10s of tiles i would have liked i suppose)(after some time tiles becomes too same and boring unless it more like widget)6. Great camera. (apple) ( Nokia lumia could have done better with 8 Meg camera but i think they have given a substandard hardware and s/w for camera)7. good notification bars. ( android is best followed by apple)8. Easy multi-task and not what OS can do for me.(android is best followed by apple and wp7)9. Multi-language support (all are good)10. It does what its suppose to do. (apple is best)11. Upgrade to newer version. (WP8 for nokia lumia oops) (apple is best)12. Display is critical. ( nokia munia might on higher black side but that doesn;t mean the pixel quality improves and only colors looks good but if you drill down to picture and real sense display then it sucks big time look at iphone and other android phones they have nailed it atleast iphone is the best)Above 10 points lets score nokia lumiawell I will give 2 points.Now its doesn't matter if the phone cost 100$ or 150$ or even free for me i am not buying a phone for another 2 years atleast and will pay 30$ (I am happy as i still have unlimited 30$ iphone data plan which ). So by end of the contract you are paying apart from phone cost 30X24 = 720 bucks in data-plan and that's the point .... do you still want this phone for next 2 years and shell out 720$ .... THINK ABOUT IT..... or you will rather go with iphone or higher end android...Thanks

I think many reviewers have already pointed out that this phone has connectivity issues when coming in and going out of weak 3G/ hspa+ coverage areas. Non U.S variants of this phone simply reboot constantly while the U.S variants like the ones sold here on Amazon stay on deceptively showing full reception bars while the phone can't make/ receive calls, text messages or even access the internet until you reboot it. This puts you in a paranoid state of mind where you constantly check the phone (like placing constant test calls) just to make sure that the phone hasn't dropped its network connection. The only workaround so far is turning off hspa+ but even this doesn't solve the issue completely as I unhappily discovered one recent evening when a friend waiting downstairs to pick me up couldn't get through. Needless to say I have now returned this phone back to Amazon until this issue gets resolved. Apart from this major problem, everything about this phone has been as good as advertised. The camera is flawless exceeding even my high expectations and Symbian is as functional and even easier to get a hang of as some of the major operating systems out there. I will definitely look to re purchase this phone once the above described problem has been fixed.Update: It was just recently reported on the Nokia Discussion Forums that the problem has been pin pointed as being hardware related to a bad capacitor on the main board. I would definitely stay away from this phone until Nokia addresses this issue with what now may lead to a product recall. This really is bad news as it was generally assumed until now that this was something software related that would have been easily fixable by a software update.[...]

Unboxing, initial configuration and getting the device to run have been smooth.The wall charger is very impressive. Small round design with a USB to micro-USB cable. Going with the industry standards, is always appreciated. Connectivity & Charging is a no-hassle game.Setting up the Windows Live account - smooth.Setting up Gmail (this is my primary email & and I want all my Gmail folders to push sync with my phone like on the Droid) - 3 step instead of 1, but I again appreciate the way Microsoft/Nokia have this configuration.To setup Gmail to sync your contacts, calendar & inbox is easy - just choose the Gmail option in the add account screen, tap in the username & password and you are ready to roll.But to have all your folders push sync'd - choose Outlook in the add account screen - tap in the email address & password. tap in "sign in". - it will fail and prompt for domain. tap in "gmail.com". - it will fail again and prompt for server. tap in "m.google.com". - this will create your account. Get into the account settings & change the "download new content" setting to "as items arrive"... and you are done.- Installing/setting up Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Kindle, Whatsapp, Tango, Netflix, Office, X-box live is a breeze. I love the Need for Speed games series running seamlessly on my phone.Apps----Do not be in haste to install all the apps you can find. Its true, there is a lot of crapware in the Windows Marketplace & I seriously hope that Microsoft mops up the mess. Using appropriate filtering like Top Free, Top paid, Featured will help. Also the "App Highlights" application details some notable apps. The Nokia apps are also well designed to work on this phone. The Nokia Creative Studio almost replaces Instagram. But as far as the camera is concerned, the auto-focus function need to be improvised. Surely a software/firmware update will fix it.I am not liking the Zune software to sync music or other content with my phone. I like to better manage using the file system than using a software (Zune) layer. I mean, the phone should show up on the computer (WindowsPC in my case) as a USB drive. But, I am sure to find a workaround soon, like bypassing the iTunes for my iPhone.I have been downloading, installing, configuring and messing around with this phone non-stop for over 6 hours now & the battery is still going strong. Too early to comment on the battery, but with Nokia's reputation I have no doubts of this one spicing up an entire day.Hats off to Microsoft & Nokia.

I chose 1 day shipping and it did actually come the next day, so it shipped fast. First, I do not think it is new because it was not in original packaging. It was in a Lumia 900 box, but the phone was not secure in it, just kind of banging around inside. It did not come with headphones, and the manual looked photocopied, so that was not original either. So if you think you will get something like if you bought it at the store, you won't. Anyway, I've been using the phone for about 2 weeks now, and it seems to be fine. It actually is unlocked. I am using it with Straight Talk. The description is wrong in that it does NOT have a microSD slot. It has 16GB internal memory ONLY. There is no slot for a microSD. The phone itself is working fine though, and I am happy with it. I was a little worried after reading some of the reviews, but I really wanted a Lumia 900 so I took the chance. So far, so good. My seller was DealInABox, I think it was. I gave 4 stars instead of 5, because it did not come with headphones and it seems to be used or refurbished and it had already been unboxed, as indicated by the phone just banging around inside the box and not being secure, as well as the photocopied manual, and missing headphones. I would rather have had a new one like the description said, but for only 300 dollars AND unlocked, I won't complain too much about it. So far, I am happy with my purchase.

Alright, I am gonna write this review the way I talk and hope it helps people. Seriously I have been waiting for a very long time for this phone and no not a long time like a month or whatever I mean since it was announced last year. I told you that cause you have to understand the high hopes I had for this phone. I pre-ordered the phone at an ATT Corporate store of course since it was a pre-order I had to wait for it to arrive. Well the Friday before launch I got a special surprise in the mail! When I opened the box the first thing I snagged was the instruction manual.. j/k. The phone feels extremely solid, no give anywhere on device, unlike my Samsung focus that had a ton of creaking going on. The software which I have been using since launch day feels just as awesome on the beautiful Nokia Clear black screen. Blacks are black and colors are almost floating across the screen, amazing! Here are my gripes about this phone, the main camera while amazing has a strange effect. It has this ghostly shading in the middle of some white and grey objects, it can be distracting (I'm sure they can fix this with a software update) the flash is amazing but for some reason is a lil too hot. The front facing camera is amazing but for some strange reason flips your image around when it saves which is strange, (I never had a front facing camera on a phone so it could be normal but I don't like it). Before your like well forget it I love taking pictures and now I don't want this phone. Hold your horses! The Camera is actually AMAZING! on most circumstances it takes very clean detailed pictures and has a great macro mode that is shockingly great! The front camera can let you video chat in almost complete darkness ahaha it was kinda funny cause I skyped (Skype beta available if you bing search it) with the lights off to see if it worked and my friend was surprised as I was! Final thoughts, this phone is just a pleasure. Everything is quick, fluid, attractive and solid. Other than the few hiccups with cameras I have nothing negative to say about this phone. I'm sure the app store obsessed people out there are going to say hey what about the fact that Windows Marketplace only has 1/10th of the apps of other app stores. Yes its very, very true and yea I do wish it had more apps but the ones they do offer are much better than other app store versions. Not to mention more are on the way. At 99, or 49, or 0 dollars this phone is an amazing buy and everyone should seriously check it out.

As the title states, this is the best phone that I have ever used. The social media integration is perfect, the phone is blazing fast (due to OS, not hardware), the battery life is better than advertised (I get about 7 hours of heavy use) and the UI is both beautiful and easy to use. To top it off, the screen is amazing! Despite the 800x480 resolution, the clear black display with the super AMOLED screen is vibrant and does not wash out in the sun like other phones *cough*iPhone*cough* do.I had initially heard reviews saying that the Google Apps integration was no good; I would like to say that those reviews were wrong. The phone works perfectly with my Google Mail and Google Calendar, although it does lack the features of Android in terms of Google Docs and Google Play support.Furthermore, the phone looks slick! The soft polycarbonate case looks more professional than an iPhone and has a design that trumps most Android alternatives with its curves and amazing build quality. With how sturdy this phone is, I am not afraid to drop it even without a case.But, that is not to say the phone does not have its flaws. Despite the hype about the "Carl Ziess" lens, the camera is not as good as others I have seen on phones. Still, it is among one of the better phone cameras available.Also, the Zune Marketplace is lacking in apps when compared to that of the Android or iOS market, but most of the "staple" apps are present such as Netflix or Spotify. I had to pay for a good YouTube app though.This brings me to another issue, the Zune integration of the phone. Honestly, I hate both the Zune and iTunes software. I prefer my phone being mounted as external storage like and Android device so that I can choose what goes on and off the phone and where rather than having to go through extensive syncing processes. This is more of a personal preference rather than an objective issue with the phone.My last complaint is the lack of support for EAP-TTLS networks. This prevents me form being able to use my works secure WiFi connection and means I have to use the slower and less secure open network if I want to use WiFi. Oh well, at least the phone's 4g speeds are faster than my works secure network :)Ultimately, despite the slight flaws the phone has, I can say that I have enjoyed using it more than a previous iPhone and Android phone. It is fast and intuitive which leads to enhanced productivity and has all of the features one might want for a great multimedia experience.

First of all, I love the color and feel of the phone in my hand. The large tile interface is easy to see and navigate through. I have spent the last two days searching through the available apps in the windows store and have found some good ones. I am not sure, but I believe all of the apps allow you to try them out for a few days before you buy them. Camera works well with many extra functions. You can upload pictures to Facebook and Twitter in seconds after taking them. I am a NPR listener, so the FM tuner is a great feature for me - not included on iPhone. All podcast show up directly to the phone with PC transfer - if this is on other phones, I have used them enough to about this. Skydrive files are all listed through the MS app. There are many "hubs" setup in the OS to link all your photos from everywhere- Facebook, Skydrive, Twitter, and any you have taken on the phone. The music is done the same way - FM radio, downloads, Zune ... all in one place. I heard about MS re-branding the windows phone software, but had not paid it much attention. As everyone knows, Android and Apple run the smart phone market. I didn't feel like I was Android, but did identify with the iPhone a little.I was set to buy an iPhone 4S until I saw this phone come at CES in January. I am a PC user who likes to keep things uniform. You can get an iPhone, iPad, and Mac, but this package is over what I want to pay. You can also go with the Android phone and tablet, but there is no option for computer interface - Chrome Book may come close. However, I can have the Lumia, my laptop and Windows a tablet later this year all with uniform OS, Apps, and things like SkyDrive and Office all connected without any third party interface. I have read many reviews online refering to the launch of the phone. The Lumia has 8jtuh x 9jfjif, the iPhone 4S has 10lgfnjg x 8feehf, and the Samsung Skyrocket has 5hfdoi x 8ehofgoe. The screen looks great. Button placement is another mark against the Lumia. The power/sleep button is on the right side and not the top like most other phones. I always though it was a pain in the butt to have the power button on top of the phone. I find it convenient on the right side. Others say they accidentally press the power button when they are intending to take a picture. If this is your phone, I am sure after a few days you will know where the buttons are located - right. Specs do not tell the whole story. My wife has an iPhone and she can't put my down.

It works, so it is worth more than 1 star. Its description is "new", but the battery is 0%, the box is a bit old and has "double stickered" to hold it tight, and the screen protector has bubbles. All these "features" make me believe that it's not really a new one. But I don't have enough time to return it and buy another phone, so I can only use it.

I have received the Damaged piece with Mike and Speaker problem from CELL LAUNGE and without knowing it I havegifted it to someone outside of US. Later I came to know that it wasn't working and I started approaching the Amazon and Cell Launge. But they said that they can't accept returns fron any other country other than US. But I expect either Cell Launge has to accept it or if Cell launge's presense wasn't there and Amazon exists then has to accept on their behalf.

Rather than provide a full review in less detail about my experience with the Nokia Lumia 900 (it has been quite good through ~45 days), I wanted to mention one thing I wish I would have known when buying a phone running an operating system that has always been core to business computing: Windows Phone 7/7.5 does not support Human Interface Device (HID) bluetooth profiles, and thus does not support the use of bluetooth keyboards. So the usefulness of having Word/Excel/PowerPoint/OneNote (not to mention third-party apps like Evernote) is reduced significantly because the only input when composing or editing documents is the on-screen keyboard. While it's the best texting keyboard I've used, it's a far cry from the keyboards we all use in every other aspect of our lives.--And that iOS and Android both support. Even Nokia's former Symbian operating system could utilize HID (even if you had to use third-party plugins on some phones). DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE; it is not factory unlocked as advertised. the phone came before time and i was excited tot try it, but i was really disappointed, the screen sense of touch is too slow. even slower than most older touch screen phones. the wifi does work only in some places i don't know the reason of that. even at home i can't get it to work. the apps are so poor. the phone is not factory unlocked. it is an AT&T unlocked phone, so good luck if you wanna make it work under T-Mobile or similar networks. i don't really see why the seller need to lie in his add since the Phone has the logo of AT&T on it and all the Apps that AT&T instal in there phones, also good luck if you wanna remove AT&T apps. plus i bought this phone as new, and i received a used one. i am returning this phone today.

I am a recent iPhone 4 convert. I was eligible for upgrade earlier this year and honestly didn't have the patience to wait for the iPhone 5. I was looking on Amazon at the phone reviews and saw the positive reviews the Lumia 900 had received. I went to an AT&T to to see the phone in person and was impressed. I must admit when I held the phone in my hand it felt a bit bigger than I was expecting, Anyway, I liked the idea of being able to get a unique phone so I bought the Cyan one. Getting set up was pretty easy. I was also relieved to discover Microsoft has a similar service to iCloud called Skydrive. So I can store information to the cloud and can locate my phone if it gets misplaced. Also, Nokia has an app that let me transfer all my iPhone contacts to my new phone via Bluetooth. Now, the app selection is not as large as Apple or Android but I have discovered that with the Lumia all these apps aren't needed because the services are built into the phone. For example, bing has a music search feature that allows the phone to hear a song, identify it and allow me to buy it via Zune. This eliminates me need for Shazam (In the WP Marketplace.) Also, there is something called local scout that lets me find all the restaurants, shopping areas, and events going on in my area. No need for Yelp (Also, in the WP Marketplace). I could go on with more but I think I've made my point. Anyway, this phone isn't offering anything drastically different then the iPhone but I have noticed it has made things easier. I don't need as many apps and I am able to get the information I want quicker. Also, this phone is much cheaper than the iPhone. When I bought mine, the Lumia was $99. But now I've seen it for $49. I am very satisfied with my purchase and my next phone will be a Nokia Windows phone. I hope this helps.

I've owned this phone for two months now, and I'm still in love with the thing. Here's what I like about it:Both hardware and software are beautiful.The hardware is rock solid - both in terms of performance and physical attributes. It is going to take quite a beating before it breaks. And it never locks up - not once. That in itself is jaw-dropping - this is the first phone I've ever owned (and first MS OS hahaha!) that hasn't locked up periodically.It's ridiculously fast and smooth. I can't get over how quickly and smoothly it performs its tasks and scrolls from screen to screen and app to app.AT&T LTE - holy crap it's fast. It's like being on my home Wi-Fi everywhere I go. DO NOT purchase a phone without LTE.I'm definitely in love with the Windows Phone 7.5 operating system (my first Windows phone, btw). It is a phenomenal mobile OS.I also purchased a Cyan Lumia 900 for my wife. We got in on the $.01 Amazon deal, plus we got the $100 per phone credit from Nokia. Financially this was an awesome deal, but to top it off we both agree these phones are the best we've ever used. To say we are happy with our purchase is an understatement. I knew the phones would be pretty nice, because I had checked out WP 7.5 in a T-Mobile store and I read good reviews about the 900. But I did not expect to have such a glowing review of the phones two months after purchase.The only complaint I have with the phone is that the camera is pretty lousy indoors. Well, as long as you have good lighting, the pictures are pretty good. Outdoor shots are incredible, and the auto-fix feature really cleans up the shots nicely. (If you already have a 900 and don't use the auto-fix, TRY IT OUT. It does wonders.) But in medium to low light indoors - meh. You can also see a pinkish spot in the middle of the picture when shooting anything with a white background. If the camera didn't perform so well outdoors (where I seem to take most of my shots anyway), I would rate this camera as a 2/5. But with the excellent outdoor shots, I think it's safe to rate it as 3.5/5. For me personally, I rate the camera as 4/5, since 90% of my pictures tend to be in well-lit situations where the camera does a great job.The end.

To be clear, I have been a blackberry disciple since monochrome screens and no telephone. My first blackberry was email only and is still my clear favorite. I used an iPhone 4 (purchased as soon as it came out) for about a year, but couldn't get my work email and switched back to Blackberry.After finally becoming disgusted with Blackberry and RIM, I made the plunge into a Windows phone last summer. I have been using this phone constantly for 6 months. The user interface takes approximately 60 seconds to become familiar with. Setting up email accounts was the most difficult part, and took no more than 5 minutes. After faithfully using iTunes for a long time, I was skeptical about switching to Zune. Again, it was absolutely no problem. Sound quality is great, phone functionality is great, phone appearance is awesome. I've dropped this phone about once per week since purchasing and it still works flawlessly.Since purchasing and using this phone, I have sold my iPad, MacBook, and iPod Touch. I now have a Microsoft Surface, Asus 23" all-in-one Windows 8 computer, and I even bought a used Zune HD on ebay (love it!). All of these connect to the multiple XBOX 360s in my house for a great overall user experience.Finally, I threw away my GPS and use Nokia Drive exclusively. I was skeptical about this app, but it is really awesome. I have a Bluetooth device clipped to my car's visor, and it talks me through all of the complicated directions on all of my trips.Overall, EXCEPTIONALLY happy. Strong buy recommendation.

The Pureview 808 has gone above and beyond my expectations. It feels durable, especially the silver slider unlock key. My last two phones (Motorola XPRT and the Palm Pre) both had screen unlock buttons that broke in less than two years rendering them useless. The i-phone was not an option because I see my friends, family, and strangers walking around with cracked screens or huge cases to protect the glass. Also, the Galaxy SIII was not an option after I picked one up in the sprint store and it felt cheap. I was looking for a solid phone and knowing that Nokia has a 5' drop test the 808 was a contender for my next purchase. I have had this phone for two weeks and I am constantly being surprised by the quality and versatility of the camera. I have been challenging every i-phone user I can find to a camera/video/audio shoot-out and even the most avid i-fans have agreed that it is quite an accomplishment by Nokia (after admitting defeat of course).Things I like:I am able to take great low light shots. This is where the compactness of the 808 has an advantage over my Nikon since it does not have the extra weight of the lens and I can just slip my thumb down to the screen and grab the shot I wanted while holding the camera very still.Zoom is great in both video and stills.The sound is great too! We have VERY LOUD equipment at work and the 808 was able to capture the audio with clarity while my friend's I-phone was washed out with distortion. It was almost like comparing cassettes to CDs.Nokia mapping works great. It is definitely a step up from the Google maps that I had become accustomed to on my Android.Things I don't like:Unsubsidized price. Some people would say Symbian, however that is a non-issue for me.Bottom Line:I would recommend looking into this phone before rushing out to buy the next I-phone or high end Android. The imaging capability is light years above the rest. The whole phone is top notch. This is my first Nokia phone and now I see why people that use Nokia phones love Nokia.

I guess at this point I don't have too much to say that hasn't already been stated, but I completely love this phone. The color is amazing - in some lighting it looks like a dark green-blue; other times it beams bright blue. I have to admit, sometimes I find myself just staring at it.One bit of advice I can offer - go all in! If you move to Hotmail, Skydrive, Office (which does have free online Office apps like Google Docs, btw - great for sharing and collaboration), Bing, and Zune (get the Zune Pass!! You will not regret it), you will discover just how powerful, useful and integrated the OS really is.Link your contacts' various accounts together (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc), and you will find out how amazing the People Hub is. You can make groups, pin contacts to the Start screen etc. Very cool.If you use Skype, you won't find it in the Marketplace, but is available as a beta app here (link will open the app in the marketplace on your phone) - zune://navigate/?appid=c3f8e570-68b3-4d6a-bdbb-c0a3f4360a51Did I mention you should try Zune Pass?? There is a feature called SmartDJ that will generate a playlist of music that is similar to any song, artist, or album. I always have trouble discovering new music, and this feature really does wonders for me finding different artists (it works without the Zune Pass, but you need it if you want to play music that you don't already own).The Nokia apps are also pretty stellar. I like Nokia Drive a lot - shows speed limits and can warn you if you are going to fast (you can decide how much over to have it warn you at). The Transit & Maps apps are also wonderful (if you are in a big city). Saved my butt once by getting me home from the middle of nowhere after the commuter rail stopped running. Though some feedback on the camera is lackluster (I think it is fine), the Nokia Creative Studio is awesome at fixing up photos - it also has a really cool panorama feature that stitches four photos together into a landscape. If you are into filter effects, they are there, too.Note - if getting a new email address through Hotmail, you can choose an "@live.com" domain extension; which I like because it is shorter to type and easier to share. If you are reluctant about Hotmail - don't be. These days it is perhaps the most feature-rich email service out there. The "Sweep" feature is spectacular at helping you keep your inbox tidy!

First, the craftsmanship of this phone is fantastic. Feels amazing in the hand. I find it hard to adequately describe in words how much better this phone feels in the hand than others I've used.Second, the new Windows Phone interface is intuitive and easy to use. Love the concept of tiles that are alive with data so I don't always have to open an app to know what's going on. The way my photos, notes, documents are just always with me on phone and my laptop (or any PC via cloud) is great. The automatic syncing to cloud for photos and docs works well, and is very convenient. I signed up for "Zune Pass", so I can stream any song over the air without an additional fee. This, combined with hassle-free Bluetooth connection to my car makes it very easy to stream basically any song over the air through my car stereo.Third, different in a very good way. I like that it's blue (excuse me, "cyan") - really nice color. The screen is really, really gorgeous. Blacks are deep black. Screen is bright, but colors stay very saturated. The tiles on the start screen give the phone a very distinctive look, too. In fact, the OS and many of the apps tend are quite beautifully done. Between the hardware and the OS, the phone really stands out. I would say that the idea of using an icon based phone -- even a very good one -- seems sort of like stepping back in time now... they just feel sort of "dated" in comparison.Not everything is perfect with this phone. For one thing, a higher resolution screen would be nice to have. That being said, the screen is still one of my favorite things about the phone (as I described) above. The camera is good, but not as good as I thought it would be.Some folks might wonder about the apps -- and if they apps they want are available. So far, I've been able to find an app I like for all my needs. There are about 80,000 apps for Windows Phone now. Not bad. While this is not as many as are available on other platforms, I think for most people app selection on Windows Phone is not truly an issue. I think the reality is that the app universe has an extremely "long tail." What I mean is, most of the mobile phone apps (on any platform) have very few people using them. The apps that most people use most often are generally available on all the platforms.Basically, I love my Nokia Lumia 900.

Switch to Lumia is the new logo from Nokia and you should not wait to do it.WP is a Great OS, i even dare to said is way much better then iOs or Android, it is not only friendly and easy to use but also have a more elegant and modern presentation. This device comes with the version 7.8 which is like using the new Windows Phone 8, so you do not have to worry about the updates.About the hardware: It is an amazing device, in this range of prices you would not find anything better.I am using it in Costa Rica with Kolbi operator and it works like a charm!100% recomended!

Love this phone but it stopped working after 10 weeks. Nokia says that it is not under warranty in the US so I cannot get a free shipping label to send it back to them for a warranty repair. The phone was always buggy and needed to be restarted a lot. When I went to restart it yesterday it would not restart. I tried removing battery and doing a hard reset by holding down different buttons but no luck. Then I have to spend an hour on the phone with Nokia trying to get a shipping label so I can even send it back to them for them to look at. For some reason the IMEI on this phone is not valid for warranty because I bought it off of amazon. com. not goodUPDATE:After emailing back and forth with Nokia for a day and a half, I sent one email to amazon.com and got a return shipping label and a full refund. Then after waiting another day for Nokia to send me a shipping label, I sent my phone back to amazon. Nokia did eventually send me a shipping label but it was too late. Communicating with Nokia was very frustrating. I am going to miss this phone, but I don't think having it is worth the possibility of having to deal with Nokia customer service again. If someone is purchasing this phone I would suggest checking your IMEI with nokia at [...] upon receipt of the phone. Having an IMEI that does not check out on Nokia's web site will delay getting a repair should your phone break within the one year warranty period

I must confess that this is my first review here on Amazon despite using the site for more than a decade now. Why now? Well, because this phone deserves praise for its value, design, and software. Overall, it raises the bar in terms of user experience and functionality.Value: Nokia just said that they'll credit customers $100 on their first bill to compensate for some minor software glitch (which I have yet to experience) that'll be fixed by 16 April. The phone is essentially free for customers that buy it by 21 April. But just because its free it doesn't mean to say that its a bad phone. Nokia did this to gain marketshare into the smartphone business here in the US which is 80%+ dominated by Android & Apple. Their desperation is your gain. Also, its a high-end smartphone that compares with the iPhone and high-end Android phones. Yes, the apps might be lacking, but its growing and I could seriously care less about the multitudes of worthless apps. Its about quality.Design: Simply beautiful. Its a head-turner. The unibody design reflects careful attention to detail and the buttons (volume, power, and camera) are well placed for both comfort and functionality. The screen is crisp & stunning, and offers great resolution.Software: I could care less if its Microsoft, Apple, or Android. What matters to me is how it makes my life easier = FUNCTIONALITY. The phone's software exceeded my expectations in terms of ease of use, responsiveness, intuitiveness, and seamless integration of all my online accounts. I was a bit hesitant at first about the "tiles" but they really make it SO EASY for me to keep abreast of whats happening. The "Linked Inbox Tile" links all my email inbox - Gmail, Yahoo Mail, and Hotmail so I can check all three with just one click of the tile. Also, under the "People tile," I have the ability to link all my contacts on Facebook, Linked-in, and my address book on Gmail, Yahoo, and Hotmail - this gives me the capability to easily call/email/text my friends with just one click!As far as phone call quality, my friends have noticed better reception and voice quality from me. This is from someone who's been on the Verizon network for almost 8+ years...I happily cancelled my current contract with Verizon to get the Nokia Lumia 900 because I believe this is a great product. Try it and you'll never regret it.

Great Customer service and let me return the phone. But I had issues with the speaker I had to purchase an ear piece just to be able to talk to someone on the other line. I had to keep shutting the phone off because it kept freezing up. Just was not what I expected on the phone for the price and quality.

Like many of the reviews are saying, this model has a hardware bug with HSPDA connectivity bug causing it to freeze or restart, you can see Nokia's announcement here: [...]The worst part is, Nokia realizes there is a problem and says they have "sent their care center instructions on how to fix it," but no one sending their phone in is getting a fixed version. You can read the forum here: [...] to hear about people sending their phone in 7 times and getting it replaced with broken models.Nokia continues to sell a product that it knows is broken without addressing the issue at all. Almost all of the used items here are broken, and I wouldn't be surprised if most of the "new" ones are as well.Let's do something about it. Anyone that has bought this phone in the US, please send Amazon a complaint using this form, http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/reports/contact-us to report a violation of Amazon's rules for listing ID: B0087OXZ3K , then in the description write that the product being sold has a defective mainboard and should be put up for review until an announcement or recall from Nokia. Hopefully if enough of us bring their attention to it, Amazon will be forced to take the item off and Nokia might actually do something about it!

You cant go wrong with this device. I have been using smartphones from the Windows Mobile days to the Blackberrys, iPhones and Androids. I have owned and used them all. By far this has been the best. The OS is refreshingly beautiful. Its uncluttered and things are arranged very nicely. There are hubs for each activity and even a person using the phone for the first time will be able to locate things without help. The Metro style apps for this OS is another unique thing about this OS. There are no buttons for any activity on an application, it follows the natural instinct i.e. swipe left/right and top/bottom. The same application on WP7 looks so refreshingly beautiful in the Metro layout. The phone is amazingly fast and the LTE is mind blowing. Now I can watch Youtube and CNN videos while on the bus/train. Nokia has got some very cool and free exclusive applications in the marketplace like Nokia Drive, Nokia Maps, Transit etc. The phone is very solid and good looking. I got several people asking me which phone i am using and i kind of feel proud to be an owner of this beautiful phone. The best part of this phone is that the call quality is exceptionally good and I did not have a dropped call yet. In call volume is very good and audible even in noisy environment. Battery life is very good. I browse for abt 30 minutes, watch videos and check facebook and with average use my battery is still on 50% when i reach home (after about 12 hrs of use) which is exceptionally good if you come from Android or iOS background. There is no stutter or lag any where. The only shortcoming so far on this OS is that it does not allow VOIP applications like Skype, Tango to run in the background. But this is not a show stopper at all. Microsoft has already confirmed that the Apollo update (scheduled for fall 2012) will have this feature. I have been using WP7 from last 2 years (Focus, HTC Titan and Nokia Lumia 900) and i found all the applications for my daily use in the MarketPlace. So there is no strength in the argument that the OS lacks applications. Yes there are some applications missing but at the same time there are several substitutes available.Go for this phone and you will never regret your decision.

DO NOT TRUST * OR ** REVIEWS.Nokia 808 purview will satisfy any amateur photographer who likes to snap a few pictures on the go, camera performance on par with some cameras $500 to $700 range, so many reviews about camera and 41 MP, I only can add that my experience camera performance is amazing, top notch, superb.Phone is gorgeous, show stopper. The phone looks like from Science Fiction and in the crowd of omnipresent IPHONES definitely stands out. Nokia 808 even in specs looks big but does not feel like it's too heavy for me so can't complaints about size or weight.One of the perks of Nokia phones is free offline navigation, I did download map of my state but I could not use it offline but problem had the easy fix, just restore the phone. To restore. This command restores the original (i.e. factory) settings and does not affect documents or files stored on the device. Email settings need to be recreated after the reset. This command is the same as the command *#7780# (just type this on the keypad) typed on the keypad. When resetting the device, you may be prompted to give a lock code. If the lock code has not been changed, the default code is 12345.If you looking for gaming system phone you better get an IPHONE. On my Nokia 808 battery life is not so great I could get two days of moderate use (used camera a lot, 3 hours WIFI, GPS navigation maybe one hour).So overall if you want to own piece of great technological advancement and have a gorgeous CAMERA phone in your pocket the Nokia 808 pureview is your only choice.

First of all the Windows 7 OS sucks and third party apps aren't as plentiful as on other phone. Second, today after a year of use, the phone has decided to crap out on me. Third party apps will no longer start and it will no longer pair to my Bluetooth devices. This essentially makes the phone useless on my data plan and really only for emergency uses only now since I can't talk using my headset. And then the whole Zune thing, good grief. I'm not buying any more Microsoft related products again if I can help it - no Xbox, no Windows phone, etc...

Looks like this is not new phone.Cons:.1. Checked usage,this phone was already used for 16 hours2. Came with HTC phone charger3. Any Video playing get dropped after few minutes.Pros:1.Although i liked Windows OS ,i felt better than Andriod or iphone at user experience and user friendlyI would buy this phone for Windows OS and for build quality, but did not like because limited Apps, camera and video player...Windows should work on competing android and iphone apps then this may go beyond those OSs...And Nokia to come with better quality camera and Video playing..

I've owned a WP7 since the OS came out in 2010, I've owned the orignal Samsung Focus, The Samsung Focus S and now the Nokia Lumia 900.I can say without a shadow of a doubt, this is the best phone I've ever owned. I've always thought that all WP7 ever needed to take off was a sexy device...And boy did Nokia deliver, I bought the Cyan colored 900 & let me tell you this phone stops people in their tracks...literally... This past weekend I was sightseeing in a local town, and no less then 10 people stopped me asked and asked which phone I was using.The GoodCrazy high quality polycarbonate body,for being made of plastic... The Lumia feels rock solid.AMAZING screen...Seriously, Pictures dont do the AMOLED CBD screen no justice. Best black levels, period.Great antenna performance, This should be a given on every phone but alas.. its notGreat Battery Life on HSPA+...My area doesn't have LTE yet so I can't test it out under that yetMiddle of the RoadThe Physical buttons for Camera, Power and Volume are a little shallow for my taste and a little slipperyThe camera....Oh Nokia, if your going to put a designer lens on your phone.. Please make sure the firmware is ready to go at launch. I've done some pretty extensive tests on the camera... Most of its problems have to do with Focus and White balance.. Heres the thing, When you are taking pics outside while the sun is out... The Pictures are AMAZING and I mean high end point and shoot amazing. However, take it indoors under artificial lighting and it all goes downhill. The camera really can't decide what it wants to do with white balance and focus..Its like a 50/50 chance of getting both right. I've found that if you take a moment and fiddle with the settings you can get a decent picture inside, However I dobut anyone will spend the time to get it right. I firmly believe that Nokia will fix both with a future firmware update (Fingers crossed)App MarketplaceNot someting I can really coment on.. I don't use a whole lot of apps.. WP7 has most of things I use everyday built in soo...Nokia has created a super nice device that allows WP7 to shine. Once they get the Camera handled the phone will be epic. Untill then its only "Good".. Which in my book means its worth it for you to at least try it and see if you like it.
