Like most people who first saw the plans for the Wii, i was mad. I didnt like the idea of this controler that looked like a tv remote with no joystick and some corny motion detection. But, I LOVE zelda. So, like most of you I had to get get a Wii even if it were just for Zelda. Then I started watching the videos on [...], and the video about madden. Just watching the people play made me want one. If you think all the motion detection stuff is to good to be true... cast them aside because NINTENDO did it.. works pretty much flawless. The remotes also have great range. They also put a power button on the remote so you can turn the system on and off with it... simply amazing and for the price.. unbeatable ( the graphics arnt awful either!)

The Nintendo Wii I the game system of the century. The graphics are the best from Nintendo even on the less founded games. The new Wii games themselves show how much Nintendo has improved over these few years. With the motion sensors and the sensory bar gaming is taken to a level that cannot be reached with the classic controllers of the 360 or PS3. The major fall back comes only with these web delivery sites. In the morning of 11/19 the price was at the expected $[...] within about two days the Wii's cost has increased to a whopping $[...] that is an increase of over a thousand dollars. The Wii is good but not THAT good. I greatly suggest either buying it at a store near you when they get them or waiting until this sudden rush subsides.

This is the best system ever! Nintendo really scored with this one. It really gets you in the game. No other system out there can compare to the Wii. It's fun, inexpensive (unlike the other ones), and gets you moving instead of sitting on your rear end. My whole family likes the Wii. My mother and aunt aren't really gamers but they totally fell in love with the Wii. I now have a hard time to get them off of it because they constantly want to play Wii Sports. My aunt constantly says "it's fun" and "I like it". Also the photo channel is excellent great way of viewing photos with a large crowd around. I can't get enough of it either. Great system for the whole family to enjoy. Non-stop family fun.

I Played this at my freind's house and LOVED it! I think though that there are MANY things that aren't that great about it, first off there's the fact that the technical specs are [...]. Then there's the fact that there isn't really a "right" way to hold both the nunchuck and th Wiimote at the same time. overall though, it's loads of fun to play and "rayman, raving rabbids" is addictive. I think that the novelty of the motion sensing tech could get old. would rather have a ps3.

I got this a few days ago. IT IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can actually bowl and play tennis etc. Also its the first console to include a game. If you can find it at a reasonable price for you, buy it!

I got a wii for xmas. The wii is exciting at first but after a while the excitement goes away. there may be a lot of hype about the wii right now but after a while it goes away. The responsivness isn't that great and for twilight princess for the wii I hate to say but the gamecube version is better. with the sword it takes a few tries for it to respond. I prefer a regular control pad.After a while you'll wish you hadn't bought this system.Right now i want to have a regular control pad again instead of the wiimote.

The Wii is a ton of fun. It's had almost 500 reviews so I'm not going to say much more because everything has been said. If you can find one, get it. You'll not regret it. It's just a really well thought out system, and of course Nintendo's first-party games are second to none.

the nunchuck is used in some Wii games to help with navigation or for two handed punching type action - I love to use it to box, play battle tanks, or for Marvel alliance - so far I have no problems with it and it's very easy to connect to my existing wii-mote

Get the Wii! The remote as a motion sensor! And Wii sports comes with it FREE! When you play tennis, you actually have to swing the remote as if you are really playing it! And one of the best parts about it is you can download any Nintendo game from the NES to the N64! And in the Wii, if you are playing boxing or any other sport, you are have lots of fun while at the same time, you are getting lots of exercise! The Wii is very cool and it is much cheaper than the PS3! Get this! It is worth it!

I know I sound like a fanboy with a title like that, but I can't help how happy I am that I got a Wii! It is touted as Nintendo's finest console, and that says A LOT considering they are the makers of the NES, SNES, Game Boy, and N64. The Gamecube was a good system too but it didn't live up to Nintendo's extremely high standards. Anyway, I'm glad Nintendo is back on board with an AMAZING system. This system is worth it simply for the new Zelda game. I can't stop playing it. If you're currently on the fence between the next gen consoles, skip the padded pricetags and get a real quality item. You can't go wrong with a Wii.

The Nintendo Wii is unlike any other game station out there! My kids have had the most fun with it and the 10 assorted games they received for Christmas. It is nice knowing that they're not just sitting on their butts playing mindless games rather up and moving with it!!! As far as the recent stories go about losing the controller and it flying across the room, totally not happening! I don't see how it happens as my kids are as rough as they come and never have lost control of the wireless controllers!! My kids are ages 12, 8, and 7.

Unlike the other consoles that teaches your young ones to press buttons, this one actually has your kids swinging and balancing the controller. My 5 year old looks forward to his "playing time" each day, which give the parents a great leverage for rewards/punishment. :P

The wii is really fun. YOu can shake the remote and do all sorts of stuff. You can get a little exersise by doing this. you get wii sports with the wii which is pretty fun. THe bad thing about it is that it gets boring. You can't do much on it.

So, I've had my Wii for about 2 months now and it is an awesome experience. I've got Wii Sports, Zelda Twilight Princess, and Madden 2007 and the new control schemes used make for a fun experience. I can't really say much for the online elements since the wi-fi hardware on my Wii is working improperly, but I can say that Nintendo's customer service is A+. After reporting that hardware error to Nintendo a new system was sent out a couple of days ago and should be here today. That means I've still got my Wii to play now, I get a fixed one at no kind of charge, and all I have to do is stick my broken Wii back in the box the new one comes in and slap an included shipping label back on !!!! Wii rocks !!!!

We purchased the Wii last week and have played it three nights. Tonight, the strap broke while my son was playing tennis and flew through the Christmas tree destroying several ornaments. After inspecting the strap, there is a *very* cheap string that connects the strap to the controller itself and that is what broke. I believe Nintendo clearly has a product defect with the strap... it is much too weak (lasting less then three nights w/ a 13 yr. old boy breaking it).
Fun system... but when I saw that remote flying full speed into our Christmas tree it was not a joke... I was relieved it did not fly at one of my other kids!

I bought this by luck, I waited on line for 8 hours and that was just a few days ago! Its amazing how much in demand this system is, I can see why now. I've owned EVERY game consol since the original Nintendo game out and I must say, this is THE MOST fun i've ever had with ANY system hands down. Its taylor made for group play. I quickly got bored playing my xbox 360. The graphics are great but at its core it's still the same gameplay and the same games just repackaged in a fancy new box. IThe possibilites for the Wii are just limitless. I cant wait till the games start rolling out nad developers really tap into the Wii potential. So far,its amazing!

Dont waste your time trying to get a PS3.
Its over priced, and from what i've been reading, they've been breaking after only a few hours of gameplay.
My Wii is amazing. Obviously, the graphics arent as good as a PS3 or an XBOX 360, but the gameplay its self is soooo much fun. So which is more important unblievable graphics, or unbelievable gameplay?
The controller truley is the undesrcibable.
Definatly a great buy.

I love how Amazon deleted all the reviews of people being all ticked off the night of Wii's release. Amazon was having some technical problems I believe... haha

I purchased this system on luanch night, and nintend, I say kudos. The graphics are not as well as I'd hoped, but the innovative gameplay makes up for it. the Wiimote feels very natural in your palm, and all the actions are simple and intuitive. I bought Zelda along with this game, and felt as if I actually had the sword in my living room! Again, the grpahics are not the best, but do graphics honestly matter? I say, If you are looking for a great console with awesome gamplay, go for the Wii. If you want HD and good grpahics, go for the PS3 or XBox 360.

I think a Nintendo Wii is better than a Playstation3. It is less money than it, too. It includes a game so you can start playing something right away. I can also play my Nintendo Gamecube games on it, too. How much more awsome can this get??!!

I finally found myself a Wii and can write a review on here. Wii Sports itself is lots have fun! Can really do some workout with boxing and tennis. My friends were playing Monkey Ball last night and they had a blast! Have yet to try out the other games from the bundle but my friends played Marvel, Call of Duty, Madden, and Tony Hawk, and they seemed to them all. IMO the graphics is not so bad. When my friends were playing Madden, they even said it looked great, even though I don't have my component cable yet. Overall I think it is a lot of fun for 250 bucks!

I got today my Wii, and the controls are really amazing. Easy to use, and let you inmerse in the game in a new way. That is all what you need in a next Gen console...SOMETHING NEW, and is a good bet from Nintendo. This is my first Nintendo (except from a Gameboy). I do not have a xbox 360 or a PS3 (I have a xbox with more that 100 games and a Hi tec PC with similar number of games), but the other consoels is just better graphics. The Wii will have in short time, better and better new way of playing games, the future in gamming is comming, and it will be more near to a Wii, than near to the other systems. The wii come with other nice features like the Miis and the picture editor/visor.

Not only is this game fun, but its smart too. The wiimote turns off when you turn the console off. It's very user friendly and can almost sense what you're trying to accomplish to help you complete the task.
It's a lot of help for parents who played games before the memory card era. Oh, yes and parents I almost guarantee you'll love Wii sports more than your children, so every once in a while pretend like you got this
system for them -to throw them off.

I really like playing Wii with 8 year old son. Haven't broken my window or TV yet with thrown remote. Wii's great concept really makes me feel I am really playing the sports games. No complain about graphis. Seems a little better than Gamecube, but I am happy with Wii's graphics.
