I purchased the Wii for my kids and really didn't know what to expect but I am glad I purchased the Wii over the Playstation 3.
Like another person said the graphics are great and just below the X-Box 360 and PS3 and the game play is incredible.
I own a 360,gamecube, PS2, and now a Wii and I think I will wait a month or two to buy a PS3 until more become available at the retail price, and unless Playstation comes out with some truly original and interesting games it may be longer than that till I buy a PS3.

There haven't been any posts lately are you guys still awake. I just got off the phone with a couple of different CS reps. Most of them were completely clueless, they didn't even know if the wiis already went on sale or if they're going on sale at all today. But one rep told me that they'd be on sale 8am PST(about 40 mins from now), and that they'd be $[...] and would be shipped immediately, and that their second batch of shipments would come during the second week of December. Just curious if anyone else got the same response from CS?

I have a wii, xbox 360, and a ps3. I WANT TO KILL MY PS3. I love my 360, fun live, great games, great graphics. And fun to play. I hat my ps3, live eritating and complicating. The graphis are great, but barley better then 360's and its HUGE. all the games out suck. Now the wii, fun system, graphics lack, but frankly I DONT CARE, its a fun system alon, and DEFINITLY fun with friends. Its very inexpensive as well. SO i recomend getting this and a 360, for the full experiance. PS3 way too hyped up, im selling mine!

The nintendo wii is amazing it is so fun. You might think the controller wii mess up sometimes but never has it messed up for me. If you ever get a chance to buy one I highly sugest you do.

I have recently bought the Wii and I am pretty impressed with the overall performance. To me, it doesn't really matter about the graphics but it has great graphics for the people who are into that. I really like the feature that you can move your controller to make you character do certain objects. It really feels like you are in the game. I really enjoy this system. I highly recommend you to buy it.

I ordered the Nintendo Wii from Amazon.com and received it in less than 72 hours, which was great. We hooked it up within minutes and we were playing baseball and bowling. It is a lot of fun, and the kids love it and actually want to play with their "old Mom." I suggest this game system to everyone from ages 7 to 100 plus, there is a game for everyone.

This is the best console ever. Sure it doesn't have graphics like a PS3 or xbox 360, but who cares about graphics if you can have fun. This console is gonna change the whole revolution of gaming with it's unique controlles. You can use the wii-mote as a steering wheel, gun, sword, bat, boxing cloves, bowling ball etc. You can play all your gamecube games and download classic nintendo games. The photo channal is also awesome. So this is truly a Nintendo Revolution.

The wii truly is a great experience for the whole family. The fun, innovative gameplay is a joy and translates across many generations. I had players from age groups 5-60 playing my wii over thanksgivining and all were greatly enjoying the bundled wii sports game. There are a few good launch games (Legend of Zelda, Excite Truck, and arguably Red Steel) with the promise of many great Nintendo titles in the coming year. I think it is a great buy and a great holiday gift for a child or gamer of any age.

* new controller design takes some getting used to.
* wired internet requires extra hardware.
* will not play audio cd or dvd.
overall: a good system for its size, but i think they sacrificed a little too much.

I bought one at Circuit city for 249. Now that my 3 kids and I tryed it we are hooked! It is every thing they say and more. I dont think I would pay the 450 plus the scalpers are asking but its your your choice? Worth every penney at the real price. Be patient and keep looking online.

The Wii is great. The sports games that come standard are so much fun, especially the bowling and tennis. Adults love it just as much as kids. Can't wait to get some more games to try.

The Wii is everything I could want in a console. I am not big on graphics in consoles because that is why I have my computer :) The Wii is perfect for almost anybody, and even doing normal mundane things on the Wii is enjoyable. I found it fun that in Zelda to slash your sword you use the motion sensitivity of the controller. Even the Wii Sports games that come with the console are very enjoyable, especially playing with a bunch of friends. The Wii is definatly a must have.

This system may not have the graphics of its competition, but its fun factor is a step above. Even the simplest game of tennis is new, refreshing, and most importantly, completely entertaining. Whether you are a non-gamer or a hardcore gamer there is something here for everyone. Plus, if you are a parent worried about your child wasting away in front of the TV, this will help at least get them up and moving, even if it won't get them outside.

I can't believe how much fun this thing is- I was starting to think that video games were getting kinda stale. Sure the graphics and sound can get better, but the games are pretty much the same. The Wii completely destroys that notion, and actually makes it possible to get excercise. My wife and I played the sports game that comes with it for hours and I can honestly say that it is something that will stay fun for a long time. Who needs a PS3- I'd honestly rather play with this!

I love the nunchuck. It really adds much to the gaming experience. You can use it like a reel for fishing, especially in the new Twilight Princess. The analog stick is used to control movements. In Wii Boxing, you use it for your weak arm to throw punches. It has its own motions sensors. I love the nunchuck. The only problem is that it is overpriced. When you have to buy the Wiimote for $40, it its a little steep to buy a nunchuck for another $20, especially since most games will require it.

It seems Nintendo likes spending money for TV ads for a product, the Wii console, that you cannot buy anywhere right now. That it, unless you are willing to pay double or even triple the retail price to some unknown cyber seller.
All nintendo is doing with their advertising is allowing these opportunists to make quick profits at the expense of the people who cannot wait until after Christmas to buy a Wii.

This is the best system out there. PS3, Xbox, it's all more of the same. If you like playing the same thing over and over and over again, go ahead and spend the crazy amount of cash on one of those.
For me? It's all about the Wii now. It's so much fun. Sports are kind of lame after about 90 min or so, but Zelda... Man. It's the most amazing gameplay. Call of Duty 3 is pretty great too.
I don't know what people are complaining about with the graphics. They look great to me.

this system is the best system to be made ever. The motion sensitiv remote makes it go way in front of the ps3(not as far infront of the xbox360).The shop channle where you buy old games makes for a even cooler add on.The internet trial is not great but going on sights like [...] is new and it was a trial.IT IS BY FAR THE BEST!!!!

The wii is just really fun. My father had some businessmen from his company over and they had a blast! I should have gotten it on video! My aunt played it and is not a gamer at all, and loved it. One reason was that there arent as many buttons so you dont have to remember what everything does, it just is fun.

I recently got a Wii after waiting so long to get it and tired of hearing it was sold out everywhere. It's so worth it.. It's an amazing product and it definitely changes the way you play. THe controller is somewaht sensitive but not in a bad way. It's the most amazing console I've experienced with. I love it and hope you make the most out of it.

I purchased this a week ago. I have owned many game systems and I love this one. It is fun for everyone. I like that fact that you can play the older games also. Even my 3 year old grandson can play this. (he bowled a strike). I do not think we will grow tired of this system. I am anxious for more items available on the menu and shopping.
One word of advice, if you can purchase this, get an extra remote while they're in the stores.
