The Wii is a lot of fun with a group of people. I can't say how it would be on your own because the only game I've played so far is Wii Sports, but again, with a group it is a good time.

I got a Nintendo Wii at launch and I must say that I am in no way dissapointed. While the graphics are in no way to top notch you hrdley notice that when youre battling Shadow Beings in Zelda or chasing Rabbids in Rayman. Only about the size of three Dvds stacked together Nintendos inexpensive Wii delivers a gameing experience that will appeal to both hardcore and non gamers. The great thing is that it is really easy to get into. Sony's Playstation 3 and Mircosofts Xbox 360 may have much sharper grahpics than there predecessors but they only deliver the same experience that you got with the origanals.

I don't own the Wii yet, I did however spend a few hours playing wii sports, monkey ball, and a little zelda. I think it's great. The remote for monkey ball was perfect, exactly how you would think it should be. About the graphics, sure the detail isn't up to xbox standards, however the engine on zelda is clearly superior to anything on previous generation systems. Look at the how the models move, and the smooth lined landscapes. No jagged edges or jumpy character models. I bet within a short amount of time we'll see games that improve the amount of detail, and we'll see some beautiful games.

I took the Wii with my family down to visit relatives for thanksgiving and everyone was hooked! From the youngsters to the older folks, everyone found wii sports entertaining and fun if not close to cardio!
We also have Rayman and NFL2k7(that ones for dear old dad) both which make great use of the controllers.
My oldest daughters 9 and 6 really like the bowling and tennis and want me to now buy them Ant Bully.
If the software companies continue to put out innovative gaming experiences for the Wii I can see how this can be the beginning of change in how we play video games.

I couldn't get one this Christmas, because I'm not willing to wake up at 3 a.m. to wait in line for 3 hours and get trampled. But, my cousin got one from eBay and I got to play it when I visited. I loved it. I can't want to get one. My cousin said he wish he had a PS3 too. I was like "what are you huffing!?" PS3s couldn't possibly compare to Wiis.

I think the Wii is a FANTASTIC product! Set up is a breeze, the remote is incredible and compared to other consoles, the price is amazing. Including Wii Sports with the console is a great choice. It is a well designed and entertaining game that draws in people of all ages.

Just an FYI - I was able to get the Wii into my cart when they were briefly available on Amazon around 10 am (CST). Before I could pay, they were telling me they were no longer available. It moved the item to a "Buy it Later" section. Even though the product page kept saying they were unavailable, after trying several times, I was able to click on "move it to my cart" and purchase it. They gave me a projected ship date of Nov. 27th. If you have it in your "buy it later" area, keep trying to move it to your cart! I'm hoping this won't get cancelled, but it looks pretty promising. Good luck!

I waited in line for 7 hours to get the Wii without going on eBay. I got the first day and I also gota the new Zelda game. I first made a Mii, a avatar that you make, to play Wii Sports. The best in Wii Sports is either boxing or bowling. When I played Zelda I was blown away. It is SO much better than Wind Waker. I won't tell anyone what happens, you'll have to play it. The Wii is the best console on the market. YEAH NINTENDO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wii is fantastic... I don't feel like writing much but I've been waiting for it to come out for years, and it has totally blown me away! It's a fantastic console a it really is a new way to play! Everything the Channels, the classic games, the gameplay-- just awesome!!

I spend between 5-10 thousand $s a year on Amazon and was expecting to buy a Nintendo Wii from Amazon.... I feel they handled the launch of the Wii miserably and therefore I don't have one to review. Stayed up from 2:45am eastern and refreshed my browser through 11:05am. The Wii was momentarily available at 11:01. I Ordered Via 1Click next day shipping, and that was that...no feedback, no order, no Wii. All systems were sold out by 11:02 Eastern Time.
What else can I say other than I am terribly disappointed in Amazon's performance. Suggest you all buy your Wii somewhere else.

I love it. We played it as soon as the boys got home. It is worth every penny. It was easy to set up and we had no problems with setting up the sensor bar. Batteries did come with the remote, but I would buy new ones. The Wii Sports game is very cool. The remote felt a little weird, but we worked it out. I loved the fact that you can do so many different moves with your body to accomodiate the characters on the screen. I do not agree with this being a one star item , but hey I'm just a big kid anyway what do I know. If you have kids well, trust me when I say that they will love it.[...]

This system is the best I've ever played. The sports action is so realistic you breath heavy playing. Great workout, great fun.

Nintendo Wii wins it. I recently got a chance to try the Wii at a friend's house and it was amazing. Unlike the PS3 and 360, this is more than a system that offers better graphics, THE WII IS FUN AND ENGAGING. I will definitely buy one when this is in stock. Again, don't fall for the $$$ PS3 and $$ 360, they are the same old boring game console repackaged with better graphics.

This controller is needed to play some of the Wii games that are out there. It fits well in the hand and the buttons are easy to use.

The nunchuck allows you to play many of the Wii games that need a nunchuck. You should have one for each Wii remote you own. Mine works perfectly!

There's no point in writting another review dissecting every last little detail about how the controls work and all that crap. All you need to know is that YES it does work and it is fun. The only problem I've encountered is that if you play either too close or too far away from the TV, the controls will be too sensitive or not responisve enough.

I'm a nintindo kid.. always have been always will be.. (I have the other systems.. but only my husband plays them) Last week I said I would never buy a Wii.. I loved my GC. This was just another way for them to make money. and the remote sounded stupid to me.. Well.. I got one earlie for Xmas.. and ended up staying up all night laughing. This is the coolest video game console I have ever played.. My GC now just seems so boring.. This is deffinatly worth it.. and a must have for the Nintindo fan..

At first I wanted a PS3 but my parents said it was too expensive. So I settled for a Wii and I'm one satisfied owner the games are decent and it helps you lose weight. So buy a Wii

Buying a Wii(Nintendo) this time around was a no brainer for me. I haven't owned a Nintendo since the original and there is a huge backlog of games I plan to catch up with the Virtual Console - once they're released...for the time being, I'm engrossed with Twilight Princess. Hopefully by the time I'm done with that, more VC games will be released and hopefully a "media center".

Looks like amazon is selling them now. I managed to snag one - though different page refreshes had "this items is not available", I did get a few that had a button add to shopping cart. However, I couldn't actually add them to the shopping cart. It said seller was unable to sell. After afew minutes of trying this, I actually got one into my shopping cart (probably some poor kid took to long get the credit card number from parents). My guess is that the started at 8 AM PDT - the same time that "Target" and other retailers open on the West Coast.

The Wii is amazing. The Wiimote changes the way games are played. Call of Duty 3 on the Wii is GREAT! It feels like a FPS on the PC with the point and aim style of play. It's way more natural than the double analog stick that Sony and Xbox has.
Zelda is AMAZING! I just finished the first temple, and its already one of the most challenging and fun Zelda games ever made. Nintendo has succeeded big time this generation. You can't go wrong with the Wii.

I ve 360 and wii, its true that the 360 has amazing graphics, but you want some new things, new experience, and if you want great graphics, you can have it in your pc.
Wii has an revolutionary way of playing, making you not just the player, it makes you feel part of the game, it s amazing how you can get involved in each game, as you move the caracter move,
i think wii is the best option of the new gen, otherwise there are more powerful computers that has same as 360 or ps3 \

Bad graphics, last-gen technology and a gimmicky controller. Add to that non-existant third party support and you have a pretty weak console. I have played about 5 games on the Wii at length, including Zelda and Wii Sports and I have to say this console is pretty lame. The controller is unresponsive, and the graphics are poor.
