I was very excited to finally recieve a Wii but then I was only disapointed when I actually played it. They almost pulled off the motion sensing controller but it just does not work very well. Games are a major problem with this system, they're hardly any games worth owning in its selection and hardly any have internet. Ours now collects dust in our living room; bottom line it is not a very good system.

The wii is so much fun!The games are great! The motion sensitivity is excellent!!The graphics are also really good.The games I have are: Twilight Princess, Wii Spoorts, Open Season,and Avatar.My favorite is Twilight Princess. Wii Sports comes free with the Wii, and it's really fun! Guess what? U don't even need memory cards! It can get the news, weather forecast, and pictures from the internet! It can play Gamecube games too!!
Now the negatives.The nunchuck attachment really could work better sometimes.You still need Gcube controllers and memory cards to play gamecube games.The wii racing games are dumb and hard to steer.other than the negatives, EVERYONE NEEDS A NINTENDO WII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought this thing last month and after playing it for a while i thought man this thing is better than the ps3 and the xbox 360. sure is fun but after a while it gets boring. i played zelda and wii sports and they got boring after a while. so i decided to give it to my little cousin and stick up with my ps3 and my xbox 360. maybe in the feture i will buy it again but if it has pretty cool games right now it sucks.

I have been a Playstation-a-holic and will remain with either playstation or possibly Xbox360 but I must admit the Wii is a lot of fun. I have a 5 1/2 yr old son that has been playing PS2 with me but the games out for that system are too advanced for him. The Wii looked like a suitable replacement and it sure was.
I bought 3 games today, after waiting on line for 4 hours, and my son plays with the Wii Sports the most. In fact, he has beat all the adults in the house in bowling and has not stopped letting us all know. A really great system for the money.
I won't give up on the Hi-Def systems. I need my blood-n-gore, superb graphix and great titles that Wii cannot provide but the Wii has founds it place in my family's hearts.
Now, if you don't mind I need to get back to bowling practice so that I can beat my son!

if this isnt the best peice of technology ever i dont know what is! this make tennis & boxing and spongebob & driving and cooking and surgery SO MUCH FUN!!!! it is like its real!

Although I don't have a lot of time to play it right now, I've really enjoyed this product. It's also a lot more fun when you have others playing with you. My dad never touched a video game in his life until I brought the Wii over. He really loved playing the Wii Sports. It was very fun being having my brother and him playing group games that they actually want to play. Now they both want one. XD

Great, fun, responsive. Just wish I didn't have to pay for two controllers per person. Not as interesting as the Wiimote, but it is necessary for some games(Wii Sports Boxing, Red Steel, Etc). You know if you need it or not, you don't need to read a review for this. As always, please Wii responsibly

First off, let me say that I own all three next gen systems. And even though I hate to admit it, I think the Nintendo Wii is the best of the three. Why you may ask? It's simple. Games are supposed to be about having fun. When the Atari 2600 came out in the 80s the graphics really werent that great, but the games were a lot of fun. I place the Wii in that same category. This is really a lot of fun! Not to mention you can download all of those Atari games we all you use to love.
Nintendo is really on to a good thing when they created the motion sensored contoller too! I believe that both Microsoft and Sony will copy this genius idea. So, if you like to have fun when playing video games and just dont stare at the graphics like an ape, then I would say the Wii is for you.

The Nintendo Wii, in my opinion, is the best gaming console that has come along. It is amazing how involved you are in the games, and finally you are up off of the couch a little bit when you are playing. It also makes gaming a group thing instead of just sitting in the dark by yourself. I highly recommend any considering purchasing one to go ahead and get one, you will not regret it.

I have played the Wii several times and several different games including Zelda, ExciteTruck and Rayman and i found them all to be an amazingly good time. The Nintendo Wii has huge potential for party games and things like that. What I'm personally worried about is the FPS genre. The reviews for the games are mediocre in general and from what I have played... I can see why (played Red Steel but not COD3). The controls need a fair amount of work. My hope is that they will improve on these bugs in the future and they will set up a much better control scheme for them (I am only unhappy because I thought that FPS's had the most potential on Wii to be great). Hopefully they will improve...
But as a console... it's great! Highly reccomended!

Alright people, you knew this was going to happen...it is a Nintendo System for you to play with. Get over it, it will come out when it does and everyone that is whining about it, quit. The e-mail from Amazon said that it would be available the MORNING of 11-19...that ranges from 5AM to 10AM for most stores and since it is Sunday, most do not open until 8-10 and mind you, THIS IS PST!
If you are so desperate, go to a local store and reserve a copy by complaining up the manager trail like you are here. It is a cheaper unit that has a lot to offer but, I got home last night at 4AM from work...sat down on the computer, clicked on the Wii for Amazon, it said it wasn't available, so I left the computer and went to sleep until now. Give it up and just wait until 8AM PST. If they have it then, great, if not, get over it.

Having played all 3 next gen systems, I honestly think Nintendo will win this generation. They have innovated like nothing I have played before. I have been playing games for over 20 years and to me the Wii is the biggest leap in the way we interact with games since the invention of the gamepad and the 8-bit NES. PS3 , X360...nice for what they are but not much new in the way you actually play the games...im not impressed. After all I have been playing games in high resolutions for many years on my PC and those 2 systems bring nothing to the table that my PC cant. But nintendo took a different approach , and its like a breath of fresh air. Incredibly fun, interactive , simple to use. In my opinion a homerun ...I cant wait to see what kind of games can be made in the hands of talented developers...

I have never had a game system, have not been interested in these video games since the days of Qbert & Frogger... always thought they were a waste of time since I am always so busy with work and other priorities. But then I had the chance to buy this at Xmas time thru Amazon, and boy, am I hooked! I can't say that I still have the time, but now I have to make time. Not only is this a blast, but I can honestly say my body feels like I'm actually getting some exercise! I had to recuperate after the first couple of days of playing (my fitness age started at 71, i'm sorry to say, but now I'm down to 37, which is darn good for this 44 year old!) This is fun and exercise all rolled into one!

Product arrived in two days. Packaged nicely. Nintendo Wii worked great and all was good with the product. I am completely satisfied with my order, I couldn't have had a better experience in a store.

I'm going to keep this short and sweet. I am 25, and bought all the last gen consoles, and have a 360 and this. While I would recommend the 360 as your primary home gaming console, this thing is definately worth buying for the party games alone!
I got mine in on thursday, and only had wii sports at the time. A bunch of friends were meeting at my place before we headed down to a wedding. I fired this thing up, and we played bowling untill 3am! Only reason we went to bed was cause we were going to be up all weekend. Everybody had fun, game enthusiest and non. Although you don't have to, we were actually going through the complete bowling motions, steps and all, and it felt right! Trash talking ensued, and a good time was had by all.

The Wii is so cool because of the wii remote! Like when you are playing tennis, you actually have to swing it and your character does swings also!
In boxing, you tilt your body to the side and your character does that to!!
And one of the best thing about this is that you can create your own characters called Miis!! You can make yourself or make any body you want!!!
You can make your character be you and make it look like exactly like you!!!!

We were able to get the Wii this holiday season. It is extremely easy to set up and in minutes you are playing. Unlike other console games you and your children will be off the couch and moving. The Wii Sports game which comes with the Wii is very good. It provides fun for all and shows off the Wiimote capabilities. The tennis & boxing games in particular gets your heart pumping. The graphics are not what you would find in xbox or ps3 but the interactive capabilities and game play far out weigh any perceived graphics deficiencies. My daughters love the Wii and finally if they are going to be playing a game system at least this one gets them up and moving. I highly recommend this system.

Nintendo pwns the gaming world with this console! Where else have you seen kids playing games with their grandparents and the grandparents are having a blast and NOT getting overwhelmed or frustrated?!?! This is the best family gaming can get...except for maybe an exciting game of Skip-bo or Uno :)

When I first got my Wii for Christmas I was so impressed I didnt know what to say. Unlike Sony's PS3, Nintendo's Wii reallytakes you in the next generation. The Wii has some awsome titls like The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess or Super Mario Galaxy wich I'm Planing on getting when it gets out. If you like Nintendo and you would love to play on a new nintendo console its worthe buying the Wii. The Wii is for gamers and non-gamers, for kids and for adults. The Wii is not just a console its a new kind of console. If you just want the PS3 because of the graphics I would not di that because you'd be spending 5 to 6 hundred dollers wich is 2 to 3 Nintendo Wii's.

Nothing can beat the Wii, I first played it at EB games and I loved it, Knowing I had one coming from Wall Mart that week, I got even more exited about getting it. I had already played the PS3 an Xbox 360 at EB games, the Wii is better then both of them. I love everything about it, the sleek style the motion sensitive controllers, the great game lineup, and the fact that you can buy old games from older systems such as the NES, I just can't stop playing it! If you buy one off Ebay for 600$ it is tottaly worth it, but don't buy it for that much. My suggestion is to wait until after Christmas when it is in lower demand and you can get it more easily. If by chance get one, get the games The Legand Of Zelda The Twilight Princess, Need For Speed Carbon, and Exite Truck.

I have been searching for a Wii since they came out and I saw many times the vendors on here asking 500 to 600 dollars for just the console. If one is patient enough, and calls aorund on different days one can find one. I found one two days ago, all I did was call an E.B. Games around 11 when they get there shipments and found one and for the amount of money being asked here bought 5 other games along with the Wii sports that comes along with the console. DOn't let these greedy vendors try to make money off you just because they have one ready right away, if one tries a little, one can find one and not lose as much money out for the same product.

On Christmas, I heard that my little brother had bought my parents a Wii. My first thought was what are my 57 years old parents going to do with a video game system. We went to their house that afternoon and I was totally amazed. The entire family from 57 to 3 was taking turns bowling.
My husband and I agreed we needed to get one. I couldn't see paying over $500 for it on Ebay, so I called every store withing a 100 mile radius for days until I found one.
I know it is not a tremendous amount of exercise, but it is more exercise than just sitting on the sofa barely moving. My theory is to play the game as if you are actually playing the real sport.

This system is great because even if you do not want to buy a game right away you have the wii sports to play, which is a great game itself. this is one of the most family friendly systems because of the new way you play the games. since everyone is new to the wii's motion play anyone can play. this system is awesome i want every one to have one.

I'm a fan of all games and systems, and the Wii is a must-have for the game play experience alone.
The graphics are on par with Xbox and PS2, but the game play and wireless experience is absolutely revolutionary. If you have a wireless broadband connection in your home, it will connect to Nintendo's online feature where you have access to updates, news, weather and can play any of the older game titles online. I can see that expansion in this is in the works as well.
If you enjoy gaming and don't pick this up (when it's "soon" available) you're only cheating yourself.
Even my wife who loathes video gaming thinks it's cool, especially the free Sports game that comes bundled with the Wii.
And as Bob Barker says, "The price is right!" See you online! :)
