Великолепно

... and it is a little small for my hands. But it is light. I owned A-series SONY DSLR and so far very impressed. Noob like me must have a built-in guide. Live view is excellent. Stock optics are good, may be a little slow, but I actually start to like manual mode. Yet to try it out, just ran some prelimenary tests to figure what's what... and I actually enjoyed my experience. Buttons are placed just right by me. And I totaly feel like this is a win over D3200 for $100 more.

I have taken this camera all over the United States and it has performed wonderful. It is very easy to use. So far, I have had no issues with it. I bought a very good case to keep it in; a good case is the life of a good camera.

I have always been a frustrated photo-phile in that, because of eye issues I often cannot focus properly when squinting through a view finder, even while using the diopter adjustment (which the D3100 has, of course)- but the Silent Wave auto focus on this camera is wonderful. I can frame the subject, allow the auto focus to do it's job (in many specialized manners [read the manual]), and I get spectacular images!!! This is a great introductory level DSLR camera for most anyone. The PASM modes function exactly the same as on the ultra high end of DSLR cameras. I really am inspired!

So, this camera does lack so advanced controls, such as a shooting mirror lock up mode. But, for someone who is looking to explore photography as a hobby, I would HIGHLY recommend this camera. It's controls are streamlined and very easy to learn. You will be changing setting without removing your eye from the viewfinder in no time! If you shoot frequently, you will grow out of the 18-55mm AF-S lens very quickly. Once you get a few semi-pro lenses in your bag, you will be shooting like a pro. The high amount of megapixels with help you have the ability to crop the photos in post-processing and still be able to enlarge them without losing quality. It is't as durable as the high end model so be careful. NEVER DROP IT, do NOT use in rain. These tip may seem intuitive, but you'd be surprised.

As soon as I got this in the mail,I started to take pictures! I'm so glad that I bought this lens! I'm just getting to know my camera by taking all kind of pictures and it's so easy to use. If you are a amateur like me this is a good lens to start with and camera. It's light to carry around and so easy to use!

Haastavariohn haalaaveen!!!This is an entry-level DSLR camera. Most men who will use this camera are probably not very interested in all the features it contains. Which is actually its biggest drawback. It has too many of these extra features. There is simply no reason to have 4 types of zoom and different types of zoom-areas and 7 colour-filters and vibration-control mechanism in the lens. For example, the camera works splendidly and takes good photos even while walking briskly or in an automobile. Why have the vibration control in the lens? That money would be much better spent on getting a bigger sensor in the camera and making the pictures even better. 35-mm cameras worked very well with only their aperture, film speed and shutter control and with a bit of practise, a photographer could get any type of picture he wanted.

Nikon iconic name right price for entry level camera. Lots of features good bang for the buck.With smart phones getting camera upgrades almost monthly the SLR may seem dated to manynot so fast SLR is more then just photo quality its the fit of the camera in ones hands. The lens optionsto choose from and so much more.

This is one of the best 'purchase decisions' that I have ever made.I purchased the camera to be able to design my book covers for e-books.This camera has gone above and beyond the call of duty.I was a novice with photography, and this was a great piece of equipment for 'Point and shoot' beginners.The camera has been a joy to work with: from the day that I removed it from the box.Let's just say: that it has grown with me; as I have grown in my knowledge of photography.

My first SLR camera that is not a 'point & shoot'. This camera takes stunning photos when set on auto, I've taken 2000+ pictures at my kids sporting events in the last 5 weeks. I haven't had time to sit down and figure out all the bells and whistles(read manual settings) yet, but when I do, I'm sure it will warrant 5+ stars, I did a lot of shopping around looking for the best value for my money, and I do believe I found it here,

I bought this camera in order to take better photos for my food blog, and HD videos for my media production class. It's honestly really difficult to take a bad photo with this camera! It's easy to use, has many great features, and is lightweight. It has a solid grip area and a sturdy feel. Just be careful with the strap, since mine came undone and the camera fell to the ground (luckily only a few inches, and it's fine).It takes good quality videos too. The only problem is that zooming isn't very smooth, and sometimes the sound of it gets picked up on the mic. Other than that, it's a fantastic camera for the price.

Just received it today. Had the previous model for 3 years and was very happy with it. But I gave it away as a gift and bought the new model. This camera is so much smaller then the previous model even if it has added functions and capabilities. I'll have to come back on that as I get to use it. My dissapointment is with the stock lens which I know very well from my previous camera. This time the mechanical twist of the zoom lens is so harsh, not smooth at all like I was used to. It is too much friction in the lens plastic case. I am considering it defective and will likely return it for a replacement. Did anyone else noticed this ?

I have Canon Sure shots, several types of higher-end Lumix Series, Sonys, Minoltas, and other Nikons, Fs to coolpix. This is a great D-SLR camera. Oversized fingers wont mistakenly press the wrong button in the middle of a shot. Holding it is very comfortable to hold, and offers a good grip. It has a solid feel in comparison to several other similarly priced cameras. The rubber is durable and the camera is forgiving, it will take the occasional bump and grind of constant use. You wont have to baby this camera.The smaller 18mm viewfinder Diopter Adjustment screen is really clear and actually usable unlike other cameras in the same category, that still offer this feature. I was surprised. This is a great feature you dont realize you miss until it is gone. The 3 inch monitor is super bright and clear, bright enough for over the head shots at concerts (doesn't have the over the head light correction as other models, but not really an issue). Display options are helpful, and not all that different from traditional Nikons. Tutorial is helpful for new D-SLR shooters. Great D-SLR entry camera for serious students, enthusiasts and point and shoot up-graders. Battery is sufficient. I had a Nikon GPS model that was horrible with batteries. This is a great camera and will upgrade with you over time.

I bought this camera a few months ago and fell in love with it. It took very good pictures on auto, and I took a class and worked hard to learn how to use my first DSLR. Unfortunately, after 3 months the viewfinder became dark and an Error Code began flashing. Nothing worked and I took it in to my local store for repair. It has been over 4 weeks and still no camera. I sent an email to the Nikon customer support site, which promised an answer with 24 hours. No answer, so I sent another. After another 48 hours with no answer I called called a customer support number. Eventually I found out that a part had been ordered and there is no idea when it will be repaired. I aked why my emails were not anwered in 24 hours and was told that they were backed up. I expressed disappointment and dissatisfaction and received no esponse other than "Uh Uh." The most i got out of the representative was that he would make a note that I called.I have been kept in the dark about what was happening, have no idea when my camera will be returned, and was told that there is no policy for a loaner. The repair process is unbelievably slow. I am wondering if my particular camera is a lemon and will continue to have problems. So, if your camera works you will have a great camera at a great price. If, however, your camera breaks you will most likely be disapppointed in Nikon's customer service.It's a chance you have to decide whether to take.

I got around to writing review after more than a year since buying this camera. It meets my needs perfectly because I was looking for light-weight camera that gives good results indoors and has low shutter-lag. Indoor photos don't washout the subjects with excessive flash allowing natural skin tones to show. Shutter lag is low enough for capturing fleeting smiles. Size and bulk is small enough to hang on the neck or carry in a backpack.Most of my pictures are taken in Auto-mode but I love the results. Only once I fiddled around with manual focus, ISO and Aperture settings for 4th of July fireworks. Pictures I got were magazine-worthy.Battery life is long enough for over 400 shots, 16GB card is sufficient for lasting over couple of trips. I use Picasa for organizing photos and Sony's PMB for importing.I skipped buying the kit from Costco because I know I would not carry around two different lenses, let alone switch them. Instead I bought 18mm-105mm lens and thank my good judgment every time I use my camera. Lens is good enough for wide angles and perfect for portraits. Bokeh effect is as expected (can never get that from even high-end aim-and-shoots). I have taken shots of rainbows, closeups of kids, super close-ups of flowers, city-life, dance performances, beaches, sunsets and whatever else I fancy.I have never felt buyer's remorse for owning this. I just thought it is worth the expense to capture priceless memories of my kids before they grow up. I only wish D3100 had adjustable LCD like D5100's for taking ground-level photos or other unusual angles.

this is my first big camer and the only difference i really see from the normal aim and shoot is the size, nothing fancy. i am looking to purchase a new lense maybe that will make a diffrence but if you are purchasing this camera thinking its going to be someting special its not... a bit disappointed

Really nice camera for a first time photographer. I use it for sports, and though it only has a 3x Optical zoom, the quality and color of the pics are really good. Easy to use, and the learning curve isn't very steep. Definitely recommend for a new photographer

I am professional photographer, had the need to buy a low-cost camera to do some work depending on the area that I can not load other cameras, this team really meets all expectations I had. I recommend it. the only thing bad that when using high ISO will notice some noise, but with some editing ools achieved eh remove and images are perfect.

I have owned this camera for a while now. It is super easy to use, takes great pictures, and didn't cost an arm and a leg. The only negative I've found is not being able to use a wireless shutter release. It's 14.2 megapixels are plenty for making prints up to 24x36, as long as the shot was right. The video is fine, if you want to shoot videos, buy a video camera. I'm not a pro, but Nikon cameras make me feel like I am, and this one is no exception.
