I PURCHASED THE WEB CAM FOR MY AMATEUR RADIO USE WITH "LIVE STREAM" AND IT WORKS VERY WELL. SEVERAL OF US "HAMS" ARE USING THEM.

I like the Lifecam Cinema webcam because it is the best webcam in very low light. With only the computer and TV on at night, the Lifecam Cinema webcam produces a viewable video for chat. In this same light settings, the Quickcam Pro9000s video is all black.In better light conditions, the Lifecam cinema will produce a good video with good color.This camera will focus as close as 1 inch. Good to play around with as a microscope, but a hassle everytime it does an autofocus. I turn off autofocus most of the time.People mentioned that this camera takes a powerful CPU. It only uses a lot of CPU power when you turn on the video effects, such as modifing the eyes, nose, face, and others.

It's no 1080, but it look better than your typical web cam. I like how it responds better to low light better then most camera's I've played with, clips onto many monitors very well, audio isn't too bad either, which impressed me too! Was worth the price I paid here on amazon.

The product does exactly what it is supposed to do. It was very easy to use with Windows 7. It was more difficult to find the drivers for Windows XP. We had a DVD drive go bad and had to search for the drivers online. Once they were found, everything worked fine.The microphone on this webcam is pretty strong. We have noticed occasional problems for the person on the other end of the webcam when there is background noise (like running water). Other than that it is great.

I use the system for a video call via internet the person on the other side was suprise how clear the picture he/she recieving. I love the other feature specialy recording video and getting clear picture even at a very dim light. The system was so clear they even see the clock further away from my back.Every time I used video call I always used the web cam.

Life Cam is superb. Good image quality is beyond comprehension. Only drawback, unlike my Logitech, Microsoft's product does NOT have a physical lens cover, to "double insure" your privacy.

I have converted this to a high resolution document camera with about $35 of extra fittings - a desktop microphone stand, microphone clip, and 13 inch microphone gooseneck. All I need is full screen viewing software to make it an excellent live-view option.

I just received this camera and everyone is already saying how clear the video is on Skype. One person said they have never seen video so clear. Setting up the camera was very easy. I would recommend this camera.

This cam is great for the price. It delivers wonderful video at 30fps in web chats. Running the cam on full 720p HD you will see some ghosting but if you are video taping you might as well get a real camera.

Overall I am happy with my purchase. Got it on sale including free shipping. Got it mainly so we could visit with my grand kids in MA. According to them, the picture quality is good.I would definitely purchase again.

Purchased this for our daughter, it was a great improvement over the last skype camera that she was using. color is good voice and sound sensitivity is great. I would purchase this again if need be.

This is a great little webcam. I bought it for my computer running ubuntu. Just plugged it in and it works great with everything! Works great with Empathy over the gtalk network and works great with skype too!

Great value for the price. The picture quality is exceptional and very little lag time. The built-in mike has very good sound quality and is clear. Easy to use and fun for family communication with skype. Highly recommend....we have two and getting one more for family.

This product was well designed for a non technical person to install and use. I use it with Skype and word has it from my family (whom I have skyped several times) that the picture quality is very good.

Very clear images in HD when connected on Skype to different regions of the World to chat. Built in sound is good as well. Stills taken are as good as a regular digital cameras. Movies I tried was in close range, was clear. Carried the laptop live through the rooms, and clarity was very good. Controlling back light makes the pictures very clear across the world.

I have a Dell Latitude with Intel Core 2 Duo at 2.00 GHz and 3.00 GB of RAM running Vista. No problems at any resolution, although the cheesy 'effects' are only possible at lower resolutions, which I believe is a function of Microsoft's software not a hardware issue. I found setup to be dead simple, and the moment I opened Skype, it worked great. The microphone is better than the one built into the laptop, according to my callers. The image quality is superb, though of course it needs Skype HD support. Great industrial design tops off a product I'm quite happy with!

This webcam is pretty beast. On paper it offers good specs at a lower price than say the Quickcam equivalent. In real life usage then cam works well even in low light conditions (at least vs my old webcam). You'll need a fairly strong computer to run it properly but, in most programs it works like a dream.

First off, though I'm a logitech fan and have used the c905 before, in my humble opinion, this is easily one of the, if not best webcam out there in the market. Its picture and motion quality is great and the 720p definitely shows during skype and video recording. Definitely recommend it to you guys!

I design and install VTC suites for a living. I compared this unit to Tandberg's 720p Movi camera and found that it was almost the same as the Tandberg unit. This device was about 1/4 of the size and weight of the Tandberg unit. This cost me $60 the Tandberg unit cost $400. For the money and small size it is worth it.

Overall, this is a pretty good camera. I purchased it on a recommendation from a friend last month. Since then I've used it a dozen times for Skype calls, and I've never had any problems. The people I've called have all commented on how sharp the image is.

Yes that's right! Linux and Mac Compatible!!!I plugged this camera into my Fedora Core 11 machine (praying all the while) and was amazed that it was not only recognized immediately, but that it provided a stunning picture in Camorama, Cheese, and Skype. Not configuration needed. It was true plug and play! Same goes for my MacBook Air (Late 2010).

I bought the camera the other day and did a video review if anyone is interested in seeing it. I also did a side by side with the Logitech 9000 pro hope you enjoy it.On my site I also listed the Resolutions that the camera supports. the problem is some of them are strange resolutions that my Streaming and recording software (Vidblaster) cant scale properly.personally I think this is a great camera and a nice set to the right direction[...]
