I got this to untether myself from my computer at work. It works well. I do have a larger sized head (extra large hats are often too small for me) and this headset is comfortable for hours at a time. Normally headsets pinch and cause a headache within an 30-60 minutes of wear. I've had this one on for 4-5 hours before feeling any kind of discomfort from prolonged use. It does fold down for storage/transport, my only complaint about the device is that you have to push the headphones back down to their smallest size to fold them up. Mic quality is good, on call and music quality is also good. These are not noise canceling though, so if that's what you are looking for look at a different product.

This headset is surprisingly light and comfortable. It's also extremely easy to configure, taking just moments to connect to a computer, whether you're connecting using Bluetooth or using the dongle (which is cleverly concealed within a small compartment on the left earpiece). The microphone also works well, picking up the wearer's voice very clearly.The only downside is that the manual's instructions could be a bit more clear with regards to connecting the headset to a Bluetooth device: the pictorial instructions neglect to tell you that you need to hold a button combination in order to connect the headset. Fortunately, the troubleshooting section makes this clear.

I had the Logitech H350 wired headset, and after about a year of moderate use (work headset, not gaming), the cord developed shorts and it eventually became unusable. So, I decided to look for a wireless headset. I eventually purchased the Logitech H800 wireless headset. I really like the option of using the dongle or Bluetooth, depending on the capabilities of the system. I was able to pair the headset to my Windows XP system fairly easily, although the Bluetooth devices created are a tad annoying. The "Hands-Free unit" device connects each time automatically, but the "Stereo Audio" device never seems to connect unless I manually connect it. This is not a big issue for me at the present time, since I simply connect it at the beginning of my workday, and leave it connected all day. I have a micro-USB charger handy in case I need to charge it during the day. One nice feature of this headset over any Bluetooth earpiece headsets I have used in the past, is that the headset continues to work while charging!Despite the fact that the Hands-Free Unit device connects automatically, I typically have to go into my voice chat app and set it to use the headset each time I disconnect it. Again, these are glitches in the applications, not necessarily the headset itself, or its drivers. I expect it would work much better on Windows 7, though I have not had the occasion to use it on a Windows 7 system yet.The sound is clear as a bell, range is more than I need, and the only thing I would want to improve is the bass response, but for its intended use, this thing is great! Earpad controls are easy to use. The dongle storage in the other earpad is handy. I hope that a replacement battery option becomes available, as I intend to use this thing for a long time.

First, you can't answer/end calls from the headset as they state it does. You will call logitech and they will tell u 10 different things. They ended up saying the answer/end call from headset only works if ur using windows 7....after reviewing this more in depth, I find out many window 7 users can't answer/end calls from headset either!! It says the range is 40 feet it's hardly 20 feet. I had to use an extention for the dongle. I can't hear as well as the other logitech either, its not as loud on 100% volume. After a week of using it, I am starting to get crackling noise like others described. I have to pull out the USB each time I reboot, otherwise I have no volume at all. It is VERY cheaply made, I feel I have to be so gentle with it. I am thinking of returning it. It's not a great headset at all. I have another logitech...the clearchat and that is much nicer, however, now that the (clearchat) is 3 years old I think the battery is going and I cant be without a headset so I bought this one. I would not recommend the H800.

I use this headset when making call via my cell phone or computer. Although I look geeky when wearing this device I do love it. I can hear well with it and I am told the sound is great on the other end of the call. I can wander around the house with the cell phone in my pocket and it all works great.No real problems other then the normal issues of connecting bluetooth devices.

PROS+ The Power switch:++ Simple and quick switching from USB (laptop) to Bluetooth (phone)!++ Easy to turn on and off (on my Go Groove headset I had to hold the button for 10 seconds)+++ At work, turn it on to USB. At lunch, flip it to Bluetooth for podcasts from phone. After lunch, flip it back to USB+ Long charging cord (~6' micro usb) makes it easy to have plugged in while wearing, if necessary++ Battery life is pretty good. Has light indicator: green, yellow, red+ Fits nicely on my big melon and looks nice (my Go Groove headset did not)+ Folds up nicely+ The microphone up/down and hiding spot are nice conveniences+ Price was $80 from Amazon on 10/26/11. Reviewed 3/8/12.CONS- Mute button is on the side where headphones are gripped, regularly accidentally gets pressed- Doesn't use Logitech unifying receiver, so another USB port is occupied- Earphones get loud 'enough', but not 'really' loud-- Lack of max volume can make it hard to hear soft conversations in a loud vehicle-- The $1 earbuds w/ mic work better for loud settings- Annoying low battery dong dong dongNEUTRAL= The plastic seems flimsy - although maybe that's because it's flexible and not as likely to snap== One time when it was plugged in, I could hear a faint squeal of interference within the electronics of the headset, itself (but not through the speakers)== Tiny little coils at the pivot points start to come out. Very easy to push them back in with a fingernail.= Styrofoam ear covers - not exactly luxury, but they've been durable and haven't slipped off, yet, like I've experienced on other headsets= Sound is good. Works well easy setup no software setup needed integrates easily into default communications device.Negatives:Distort a little bit on high high frequency sounds but thats only at extreme levels.MUST use INCLUDED LOGITECH DONGLE (It has a blue trim unlike mouse keyboards etc which are all black) will not work with already installed "unifying" logitech dongle reciever so you must have a dedicated usb port. Wish it came with multiples to use for laptop desktop etc tho it does storage the blue one in left ear.USB cable only works with this headset. Although other usb cables with same port size/shape will charge it as well just do not expect to use the included cord to charge your phone as well.It may just be me (weak system) but when playing battlefield 3 and other intense computer games it fizzles out cant keep connection etc. *have dedicated sound card as well not motherboard) Might be a way to setup to use hardware as I think it is software based.Positives:Easy setup integrates with no software needed can make changes easily through control volume/record options.BLUETOOTH can listen to music on my phone lovely and most apps respond to the tracker rocker buttons etcetera.Comfortable easy on ears, decent sound, fold up so it doesn't take up entire desk space.Overall good buy for the money. Great for Gaming teamspeak etc. It should do most everything you would need it for.

This product has some excellent features. It is comfortable to wear for extendend time. The sound quality is good (but not excellent). However, I find that the battery life is short and requires frequent charging. Also there is a tendency for headset to lose the sound from the game being played (Borderland2 specifically). I then have to go to the Control panel and reset the default sound device. This is using Windows 7 OS. I have not evaluated the microphone capabilities.

I wish there was more Headphone options like this. Having both Mini USB and Bluetooth in one headset is the best way to do it. I can quickly switch between my computer and phone by just flipping a switch on the side of the headphones.The sound quality is average but in my opinion the convenience factor makes these the ultimate choice. If they had an upgraded version of this I would buy it immediately.

Sound quality is way better than any wireless/Bluetooth headset I've used (and I've tried many over the years)But, my ears feel like they've been in a boxing match after a while. The speaker portion is covered by foam but it isn't thick enough and the tension from the headband has to be this tight to keep the things on your head so it ends up hurting.Going back to my wired Plantronics MX-500i. Have worn that for hours on end, day after day and never any pain. Just wish they had a wireless version of the exact same form factor.

This is so far the best headset I ever had. The only thing is that USB cable doesn't work. I need to use the same one from my mobile. Wen I run out of battery on my cell and headset at the same it drives me crazy.Good materials, good sound and comfort. I like the idea that I can fold them and they're space saver as I do lot of travel. This headset is totally wireless. Some headsets are partially wireless as you need to attach the base to your laptop. This is not the case with this item so, you can move around (short distance) without any problems.

It is comfortable with retractable boom and easy controls. It will pair with Bluetooth enabled devices without the dongle that comes with the unit, but the instructions are not included. To do so follow these directions from their website: To pair your wireless headset with a Bluetooth device:Set the slider switch to the Bluetooth icon.Slide the track switch to "Next" and hold, and press and hold the "Volume up" button at the same time, until the link LED indicator blinks rapidly.NOTE: For initial Bluetooth setup, your headset will automatically be in pairing mode.Make sure Bluetooth is active on your device and then select "H800 Logitech Headset" in the Bluetooth devices list (see your Bluetooth device's documentation for more help).Once the connection has been established, the link LED indicator should turn solid green.

Logitech blew it with this one. The Bluetooth function does not conform to Bluetooth standards. In order to connect the headset to a PC via Bluetooth (after successful pairing), it must be done manually. It will not connect automatically. Further, if you close the Bluetooth Device window, it disconnects the device. This behavior was confirmed in a support call to Logitech on 1/9/2013. Too bad too - it has good sound quality and is comfortable to wear. But if you want/expect it to connect automatically, look elsewhere. This unit is being returned.

I bought this to use for work since I work at home with a soft phone. It was easy to install with vista. I charge it on another pc and it usually last for 6+ hours. I like that the headset folds for easy storage. The ear phones are comfy and I like using it and I like using it with the blue tooth option with my iPhone.

This headset has a good sound quality and the antenna has a big enough range to move around the house while I'm using it. I also like that if I'm running out of battery I can connect it and continue using it while it charges. The reason I don't give it 5 stars is because it wasn't easy to install, I connected it and the headset didn't pair with the USB automatically as they said it should. I needed help from a tech.

I am a mobile worker that uses Microsoft Lync softphone on my PC. I had a wired Plantronics headset that I was using but I would get the cable caught on the arms of my chair and I almost wiped the computer off my desk a couple of times. I needed a wireless headset that was comfortable, great battery and excellent voice quality. Fortunately, the H800 met or exceeded all of my expectations including the fact the headset folds into a convenient shape and there is a place in the headset to store the wireless dongle. Excellent range is another good feature of this product. Recommended!

I would have to say these are comfortable and light enough that I forget I'm wearing them and I'm on the softphone at least 8-9 hours a day. They can indeed be used while they are charging which is a nice feature.The range for me varies to 20-25 feet and then they get static and you have to move back in range to hear clearly.One drawback is they do not have a pickup/hangup button that is compatible with my softphone - but they do have buttons for mute that works with the softphone.As a bluetooth headset there is volume/pickup/hangup controls and volume control (the volume control does not work on the softphone).A great product at a great price overall. Very clear, crisp sound.

GREAT sound quality. TOTALLY convenient. Works for small, adult heads (e.g. "ladies).However, the phone wand seriously does not work. No one can hear me. I believe you can get this same headphone but cheaper without the phone feature. I would recommend that.

My old Logitech USB headset was held together with scotch tape after a lot of use and travel. So this is a massive improvement for my daily headset use. Overall satisfied customer.I'm not an audiophile, but I am a picky consumer so here are a few observations for someone else out there shopping and considering this model. For distraction-oriented music-while-you-work, or Hulu zone-outs, sound quality is great. Range on Bluetooth is as good - if not better - than advertised. I am able to go 50+ feet down the hall with a solid signal. Use of the included micro-USB dongle (RF?) yields less range, but that may be because the dongle sticks out of the the back of my iMac in the opposite direction. Build and material quality of the headset is not impressive... no one is going to confuse it with a Bose or Apple product. Earpads are cheap foam and I just know they're going to need replacing in less than a year. The big control button on the right ear has a bit of a flimsy feel. The headset folds but the parts don't quite fold as tidily as you'd hope. Good news for Mac users: the volume, play/pause, and forward/back interact well with iTunes and system volume. Nice. I was also able to pair with my iPhone 3G with limited hassle, but do note that bluetooth pairings 2-7 require a strange button-pushing voodoo ritual on the headset. Would it have been so hard to just build in a tiny pairing button?The boom mike folds up in a nicely hidden way.Battery life is pretty good: In two days of use, I've managed to get more or less 5 hours of music listening out of an overnight charge (via USB cable). I haven't used them to a dead-battery state, so the total useful life is longer but I don't know by how much.

It is my first stereo headset wireless. Sound is great, mic is very good. The only down side is the battery life: one cannot leave it on the whole day. You have to get used to turn it off when not using. Other than that is perfect

Because the bluetooth on the MacBook Pro isn't all that great for audio headsets like this (and others) I went with this headset because it supports uses a dedicated USB dongle (though it is capable of BlueTooth as well). Really good experience with it.

I work from home and we have extended conference calls through Skype and Lync. We also teleconference through cell phones. I put the dongle in my PC and paired the bluetooth to my cell phone. It works perfect for both. This headset is just what I needed. I'm not tied to my desktop by a cord. I can get up and walk around the house and everyone can hear me just fine. This headset is awesome!.
