This headset does double duty as a great stereo iPhone/smartphone Bluetooth headset and wonderful desktop gaming/Skype/VoIP headset. You're getting two headsets in one.The design is extremely comfortable. The foam ear pads are just firm enough to gently cradle the ear while providing a secure fit even while jogging.The sound is excellent. Very well balanced across the audio spectrum with solid bass and transparent highs. No unusual frequency bumps or surprises.The controls are well placed. Song forward/back is via an easy, smooth rocker switch on the RH ear cup. Volume control, call answer and mute are controlled via a large 4-way rocker switch on the RH ear cup that includes raised dots at each position so you can feel what you're doing. The mic boom is short, and out of the visual field. It also folds up into the ear cup unobtrusively; nice if all you want to do is listen. Mic muting is accompanied by an audio cue confirming that you're muted or un-muted.Bottom line, well worth the investment. Logitech put a lot of thoughtful features into this design, and they got it right. Highly recommended.

I replaced a wired pair of headphones with these, and have been in love ever since. They're extremely light and comfortable (critical, since I generally play for 3-6 hours at a time) and the sound quality is great. I primarily use them with Skype on a PC, but if you move the activation toggle switch to the middle position you can also pair the headphones with other bluetooth devices, such as a phone. My only complaint is that the buttons are a little difficult to feel and activate (my older, wired Logitechs were a little better in this regard), but otherwise, this is perfect. I bought an extra set for work to use for music and work calls through my phone, and I use my set at home primarily for multiplayer games.One other small note: If you have other Logitech equipment that uses what seems to be the same receiver (such as the Wave keyboard/mouse), you might have trouble pairing them with the bluetooth receiver. I wound up not being able to make my headphones pair to the keyboard/mouse receiver, or the keyboard/mouse to my headphone receiver, so I have two of those little wireless doohickeys plugged into my PC. A bit annoying.

Great product. Purchased this one and used it for about 8 months then developed a battery/charging issue. Logitech replaced the entire headset for free no questions asked. Hard to beat that type of service. Product works great since it was replaced as well. Part of the original charging issue may have to do with charging while listening and the cord being caught on objects while working. I have been more careful with the replacement product and all seems well.

I just got these today and I like them quite a bit. I have them connected on a Win8 laptop, through the on board Bluetooth connection. The sound quality is terrific for the price. I then used them for a Lync meeting (Microsoft's VTC software) and it was awesome. I was able to walk into the other room during the call, and still maintain contact. I don't use the dongle, because my laptop was made after 1975, and I can't wait to try it with my phone and tablet. I can't wait to use it with Dragon Naturally Speaking. Lastly, I would mention that Amazon is 40% less than Best Buy.It would have been 4 stars if it included a hard case - I travel a lot and I am worried about the impact of travel on the device. Otherwise it would have been 5 stars for sure.

I purchased this headset about a week ago to replace my aging (and falling apart) Microsoft Lifechat LX 3000 that had given me years of service. The H800 is extremely light and comfortable to wear, the padded headband is a very nice touch, especially as I have no padding of my own up there (bald lol).Pro's: Lightweight, comfortable, good quality soundCons: Battery life isn't quite what they say. Even after charging overnight, I still can only get around 3-4 hours of battery life, and that is only using it for audio. Having to continue to use it while plugged in kind of negates the benefits of being wireless.

Love the sound quality, love the wireless, love that I can switch between my computer's sound and my phone's bluetooth with a flick of a switch. What I don't love is the less than stellar battery life. I would estimate 3 hours to be what I get out of them with continuous use, so I end up having them plugged in most of the time that I'm sitting at my desk using them (sort of defeats the purpose of wireless headphones). So, they're good, and I would recommend them but only to somebody that knows up front that they'll need to be charged after a few hours (the good news it that they charge with via USB, so you CAN use them while charging them).

I spent well over an hour to get these headphones to work on my i7 desktop using the included dongle. I followed all the directions, charged the headset and installed the drivers as per Logitech's support page. I never got any sound out of the headphones. They did pair up with the dongle and there was audio activity on the channel according to Windows, but I never heard anything.Worked with my Windows 8 ThinkPad, but after the first use, it takes several steps to get them to work again. The sound quality was mediocre at best when they did work.Also got them to work once with my HTC 8X...but only once. Couldn't get them to pair up a second time.Read Logitech's community board for more similar experiences.Returning them over the weekend.

I don't like the super-bass or really loud headphones, so the fact that these were not a complete ear-cover worked in my favor.Made a few calls with them, didn't get any complains about the sound quality. At times there was interrupts with the calls, but that just could have been my phone's problem, not completely sure.Fit well. Wish the battery would last longer, but.. that is the same story for nearly any electronics.

These headphones held a LOT of promise.. but ended up disappointing:I already have the ClearChat PC Wireless headphones which I love, and the only reason I went for these was:* wanted USB charging instead of carrying around a separate charger* wanted a smaller dongle so I can leave it in my laptop* wanted fold-up design so it would fit in my laptop bagWhy am I disappointed?* build quality is rubbish. feels very cheap. I just KNOW something's going to snap. Especially compared to the ClearChat which are very solid.* flipping up the mic boom doesn't mute like the ClearChat did.* volume controls DON'T control windows volume like the ClearChat used to - only the internal device's volume, so you have to control volume in two places. Mute doesn't mute Windows .. a step down in capability* pressing the 'end call' button when on a Lync/Skype/Communicator call doesn't control the app.* fold up design isn't very compact* no notification that you're on mute. the ClearChat had a red light that showed when you were mute.* battery lasts for 2-3 hours. rubbish.* sound quality reasonable, but not as good as I expected.On the plus side:* pairing with a phone is quite nice, but then again, bluetooth headsets for mobiles are a dime-a-dozen, so no big deal there.* they are more comfortable to wear for long periods of time than the ClearChat is.* dongle is smaller. wow.

My first attempt with wireless headsets.I am a handicapped user and my primary use is for speech recognition. For that it functions very well.Because I am handicapped, I do spend a lot of time on the computer for entertainment listening as well.I was a little bit disappointed by the sound quality of music using the bluetooth mode. Fortunately, that USB mode sounded better. I have since found that online literature generically and says that this is true of all bluetooth headphone and microphones. So, I cannot fault this device.I think that it at least comes close to the advertised 6 hour battery life. But, I wish that the batteries lasted at least twice as long.

I received the headset in good condition, as I was reading the direction for installation It only listed window application but I know I read it was suppose to work with XP which is what I am using, so I was ready to send it back, I was telling a friend about it, she suggested to plug it in anyway maybe it will work , so I did and what do you know it work just great I know XP in on it way out but old fogy like me I like my XP system and would like provider of this type of new toys remember us when there making manual for installation for it equipment

Finally - a headset that has oval ear shapes, doesn't pinch the top of my ears, isn't heavy, and has a mic that works great!I recently bought one of the ClearChat headsets and liked it well enough at the time - but received it with one speaker not working so well. I picked this one up as an alternate initially because I could get it faster (and the oval ears had promise!).Amazing difference when compared to clearchat. First, it was truly plug and play connection with the Mac machine (ClearChat was not). Second, this little itty bitty USB thing in the back of my mac vs another bundle of wires and the dongle sitting on my desk (because plugging the much larger USB thing straight to the Mac did NOT work). Then there is the significant improvement in comfort.. No more pinched ear tops!What I don't know yet is the battery life and such - but I'll sort that out :)

The Logitech H800 headphones are a pretty awesome way to enjoy sound without wires. I'm in Afghanistan and use them daily here. It's a good test to their durability and functionality.I use them in 2 configurations, connecting wirelessly via Bluetooth to my Ipod and connecting wirelessly via Bluetooth dongle, to my laptop. Both modes work flawlessly to both listen to music or movies, or to skype with, which works very, very well.The noise cancelling mike cuts a lot of the noise out here so my calls are much higher quality than before.On the right earpiece all the controls are easily accessible and with a little practice, you can do all functions without having to take the headphones off.The controls work just as good on the Ipod touch as they do on my laptop. I can control volume, Mute Microphone, Pause/pause Skype call and forward or reverse through audio tracks or movie chapters.The other thing I really like is that on the left headphone, you can take a cover off and have easy access to the Lithium ion battery pack! I like the idea that if it should wear out, I can change it.These headphones are completely awesome. Very well thought out design, they even fold up for smaller storage. There are only 2 things I think they could have done better.The first thing is I wold have gladly paid an extra $10 or so for a durable hard case. There is no case and I will be a little nervous about them getting smashed when I travel.The second thing is the Bluetooth USB dongle they give you, I wish Logitech would have made it compatible with their mouse and keyboard dongles. I also have a Logitech Performance Mouse MX and a Wave keyboard K350. I have to use one dongle for them and one for the H800 headset, so that ties up 2 USB ports on my laptop. My laptop does not have bluetooth, so that's why I had to use the dongle.

I got this headset to make calls from my phone over bluetooth and from my computer (gtalk, skype, voip) via the USB dongle.The headset is very very comfortable, and easy to use. My only complaint is the occasional sound quality issues when using the USB dongle.Quality over bluetooth is amazing. I never have issues when my phone is in my pocket, and if I leave my phone on a table then I can walk pretty far away before the quality starts deteriorating.Quality over the USB dongle is usable, most of the time. However, if I am actively doing work on my computer while in the middle of a call then the audio quality will often deteriorate and start crackling. This has become enough of an issue that I've had to switch to my phone.

I have had 3 pairs of this item now. When they are working , they work really well. But they do not last long, after a few months the connection between receiver and headphones get really bad. I now hear alot of distortion as do the people i'm speaking with. Furthermore connecting them doesn't always work. It will have the light that indicated it is connected but I cant hear anyone and they cant here me. The only fix is to unplug and replug dongle until it starts working again.

Very good sound quality. Using it for voice calls on my laptop and connected to my Nexus 4 with bluetooth to listen to music. I can walk anywhere in my apartment without losing connection. They are very comfortable. Controls on the side for controlling music and calls and it even has storage for the USB receiver in the left side. Overall a very good design, I love them.

I loved this headset so much that I bought a second one for my office. I have the dongle plugged into my laptop and pair it with my cell phone as well. The switch between the two is virtually flawless and I routinely use it for conference calls, games, and listening to music. The range is acceptable (starts losing quality around 15 feet), and the battery lasts about a week with regular use.

Nothing very wrong with these headphones... but I didn't fall in love with them.If you like open-air (foam earpiece), top-of-head support, and you want stereo sound with microphone, they might be a good choice.PROs: - Use with Bluetooth or proprietary USB transmitter - For long cell phone calls: Improved sound quality and comfort - Quick set-up. No software to install.OKs: * Open air (foam) ear pads do not block out other sounds (big plus or big minus). - Comfortable - within reason. Not as comfortable as ear-surround earpieces. - Secure fit - Not as secure as some other headphone types. May fall off when leaning forward. - Manual is OK, not great (see Note 1) - Lightweight (4.4 oz) - Look & Feel: Mid-quality. Light, flexible, somewhat resistant to breakage. - Microphone boom is a little short - Music controls are nice, but they "work only with iTunes and Windows Media Player."CONs: * Not audiophile quality sound (see Note 2) - Switching between speaker mode and headphone mode is a hassle (See Note 3) - Transmitter must connect directly to computer. Will not work with any external USB hub. - Transmitter is very easy to misplace or lose, and doesn't indicate what it's for (it just says "Logitech").- - - Notes - - -Note 1: Manual is well illustrated and easy to follow... good for "Get started." But it's also shallow and flawed. For example, it says the green status light pertains to Nano (USB transmitter) status, but it's actually for Nano and Bluetooth status. The warranty "Covers a period of time, identified on your product package...." (which you will have thrown away when you need that info).Note 2: I'm not super-sensitive to audio quality, but I quickly noticed that music listening was inferior to my $10 J-buds and my $30 Dynex headphones.Note 3: Plugging in the USB transmitter disables the computer speakers. As far as I can tell, the only way to re-activate your computer speakers is to unplug the tiny (easy-to lose) USB transmitter. (Also need to re-start iTunes if you want to continue using it. It would be nice if the headphone's on-off switch would gracefully swap the speaker-headphone assignment. User manual does not address this question. (My platform is Win XP.)

After using this headset for two months I increased my rating to 4 stars. Its foam ear pads are not as comfortable as the rubber cups on the previous Logitech headset that I owned. My old one had a red light that indicated I was muted. With the H800, there is no obvious mute indicator other than moving the microphone up which I do not want to do because that repetitive action broke my previous headset (it will not come off mute). The H800 has a cushion underneath the headband which is comfortable. It fits well on my small head and is adjustable for larger heads. I am happy with it.

Hello,I was looking for a combined wireless headset for both phone and laptop for so many days.I finally bought this after a friend's review of logitech h600.Purchased this product last month, used for few days.It works as expected, good quality and nice stylish look.Only problem is with 'dongle', the dongle is very sensitive and has loose connection, I have to keep pressing it hard against the USB port on my computer to make it work, even after that it stops working suddenly.I checked my USB port, there is nothing wrong with it, my older headphones (which also works on USB) runs very fine with the same USB port.

Well like the first reviewer of this product, I too am returning these headphones. I had a few problems with them. First of all, my Mac (running OS Lion) seemed to have a lot (and I mean a lot) of difficulty making a wireless connection between the USB thingie and the headset. There is a green connection light that flashes when they can't find each other, and I had a heck of time getting the flashing to turn solid (which means they're now connected). I had to plug/unplug the USB as well as turn the headset on/off multiple times. By the third instance of this, I was packing up the box. I can't be plugging and unplugging stuff all the time to get it to work.During the times I was able to get the headphones working, the sound seemed fine to me. Some applications I tried on the Mac though didn't seem to recognize the headphones were plugged in. iTunes played music right into them, while Garage Band insisted on using my computer speakers (yes I checked all the settings). My browser recognized them, and I was able to place a call through my Google Voice account. However, I do a lot of conference calls and the way the mute button works is simply by making a beep when you toggle. There's no indicator showing you whether or not you are on mute. I quickly imagined a future in which I was constantly putting my hand over the microphone to ensure I wasn't heard. A low-tech future for an 80-buck purchase, to be sure.I was hoping these would replace my aging Plantronics DSP 400 wired headset, which actually still works great except for what are now worn-out ear cushion thingies. I was looking forward to cutting the cord with what appeared to be the top-of-the-line wireless headset on the market. Now this is just my opinion, but I felt like this product didn't seem at all like a top of the line product. I expect the expensive stuff to work the best. Maybe I'm old fashioned.Alas, these are going back and for me it's back to the drawing board to find a suitable replacement. My review - for Mac users at least - would be to test these if you can beforehand. If they work for you like they "worked" for me, you may elect to look elsewhere.

First the Pros after 6 weeks1- Light and very comfortable - the earpads are soft, the pressure on ears light: pretty hard to feel you have something on2- Sound quality for Skype calls or cruising the web is excellent. Have not tried to listen to serious music.3- Range is good - can penetrate several thick walls in my 200-year-old appartmentand the Cons1- The mike boom is dangling loose like a pendulum after 3 weeks of use (doesn't seem to impede mike fidelity though)2- Battery autonomy very erratic - often as little as 1 hour!This is obviously a dud and have returned it for replacement; will update rating after using the next one

The product worked as advertised right out of the box. Excellent sound and microphone quality considering the cost. The only annoying feature is the failure of the USB nano receiver to maintain contact with the computer when the headset is turned off. Only way to regain contact is to unplug and then re-plug the nano receiver so the computer will recognize it again. Its only difficult if you don't know to to it. I have not tried it on Bluetooth mode yet.

Audio quality is very good, however, I had slightly higher expectations of the ease of use for a wireless headset. Unfortunately if I do not set the headset up prior to starting a game, I have to switch out of the game, make the wireless unit the default, get back in the game and do the same for it to connect. As I don't use it every time , this can be a bit cumbersome and I find myself just not using these as often as I use a corded headset which comes right in as soon as I plug it in.
