Update 08/09/12 - Today the USB transceiver broke, with the plastic nub seperating from the circuitry. This goes to show the point that the construction on the whole isn't up to what I'd expect from Logitech. On a positive note, within 10 minutes of it breaking I had a call into Logitech and had a shipping confirmation for a replacement transceiver. Props for customer service. The Logitech H800 headset seemed like a good companion piece for my virtual office: Bluetooth-enabled in case the calls came in via cell phone, and it also allowed me to listen to music / recordings from my computer. The first use was particularly important, as I live inside a concrete-construction apartment that gets poor cell signal except when near windows. Pros and cons partially based on the above setup:PROSEasy setup - Plug and play into Macbook Pro, easy pairing on iPhone 4S.Headset is fairly comfortable - Adjusts well to my medium-sized head.Battery life - For my use gets me all the way through an office day, which includes a break and some downtime when they're just on buy not playing anything (typically in Bluetooth mode at this time).Microphone - super clear. As an example, my Siri accuracy has greatly increased, although this may have more to do with the quiet office. I've had no complaints from anyone on either Skype or on the phone.Range - I'll walk around my ~1100 sq ft apartment in Bluetooth mode, signal works great, even when transmitting through concrete walls. This is not the case for the USB mode; the concrete walls interfere with the signal. This use isn't important for me, so I didn't consider this a con.Volume / sound quality - Overall volume is great, sound quality is clear. Not particularly bassy, so comes across as more of a vanilla headphone offering. The earphone covers do not adequately keep external sound out, but honestly in a quiet office this isn't that big of a deal. I need to listen for my son on occasion, so I can turn these down if I need to. Likewise, you could turn these down to hear outside noise if needed (in a real office environment, for instance). Just not well suited for a louder environment, although I imagine at full volume you could drown most things out (and obliterate your eardrums). Headset gets crackly when in USB mode as battery ran down (within 15 minutes of turning off); not a big deal to me.CONSConstruction materials (-1 star) - honestly a little cheap-feeling for the price. This in no way hampers functionality. All buttons work fine, just the overall feel of the product is a little cheap. This is surprising for Logitech (I'm typing this review on a Logitech K750 keyboard and also use a Performance MX mouse).Uncomfortable after a full day of work - About hour 3-4 the headset is somewhat straining on my ears (probably having to do with glasses), by about hour 6 I need to take them off for 15-20 minutes. I didn't take points off for this, as I feel half-day of comfort is reasonable. One annoying thing that isn't Logitech's fault: iPhone will not automatically switch to H800 input/output, even after pairing. You must select it from a list of options. There's probably a way around this, but I haven't discovered it yet.SUMMARYI'd recommend this to anyone. Good all around wireless headphones, especially for office use. Wouldn't use them in an active role, but for those with sedentary jobs or use around the house these are a worthy buy.

I bought this to replace an older Logitech wireless headset (In case you are looking at other less expensive models on here, my old one is the Logitech ClearChat Wireless USB Headset - Black, model number: 981-000068). I prefer this newer model to my older version.First of all, I did like my older model, and it worked well. I used it exclusively for work, mainly for listening to long audio files, somewhat for making audio recordings and presentations, and rarely for phone conversations. I used it so much that it literally fell apart. I had it held together with duct tape for a while (which looked so nice at work!) until I finally lost the USB plug-in and needed a new headset.I am glad I paid $20 more for the upgrade to this model over the less expensive ones such as the ClearChat. The sound from these speakers are more crisp. The other ones were crisp too, but I notice an improvement with these. The wireless signal is much better on this device. My last set would begin crackling anytime I got more than 10 feet from my computer and shortly thereafter would cut out. This set maintains signal for a much longer distance and even through walls. At work I can make it to the copier and even use the restroom without losing signal. I can also get signal anywhere inside my house. This set also packs up nicely. You can plug the nano receiver into your computer and forget about it. My last headset had a big plug-in that needed to be removed every time I put my computer away. This model folds up for storage, and my other one did not. It fits in my computer bag much better than the last one did. This pair is comfortable to wear for hours on end. My last headset started to hurt my ears when worn for any considerable amount of time. It also would not stay secure on my head and kept slipping off, while this one seems to stay put much better. You can use this headset with tablets, smart phones, and computers. It works on both my PC and my Mac. I like the option to use the headsets with multiple devices, though I have not yet made use of that option. You can turn the headset off when not in use to preserve the battery life. If you forget to turn them off when not in use, they actually make a soft dinging sound (3 dings in a row, no sound for 30 seconds, 3 more dings...). The first time mine did that it took me a while to figure out the cause of the annoyance, but then after the fact, it seemed like nice feature. Some potential cons: I am a little worried about durability, seeing as how I managed to break my last headset. I'm not sure these look any more durable than the last set I had, and the hinge area looks especially prone to breakage. Also, this set recharges through a USB cord hooked up to the computer. My last set used an electrical outlet. If you need to use the headsets while you are charging them, it will take up two USB ports on your computer. You will help to have a have a hub or docking station that provides additional plugs. If you have a standard power adapter for your cell phone, it should work with this headset. I have an iphone, which does not work with a standard power adapter, and it doesn't make sense to get one separately just for this headset.

PROSReasonably good sound for playing musicReasonably comfortable for long-term wearEasy to set upControls are convenient for controlling volume, skipping tracks, answering phone while away from the computer or mobile phoneCan use headphones while they are chargingTiny USB dongle for use with computerBluetooth supported for mobile phones etcWireless, but sounds like wiredCONSUses the less-common Micro-B USB connector for recharging headphones, unlike most of my other USB devices[UPDATE 4/9/2012: I now consider MicroB to be a PRO, as it is replacing MiniB as the new standard]The tiny USB dongle is required even when the headphones are attached via the recharging wireSix hour battery life between charges for wireless. 8-10 hours would be better for use on a full-time job.COMMENTSThese headphones have the potential for changing the way I use my computer. Once the headphones are charged, I can wander up to 40 ft (12m) away from the computer, and still answer Internet (Skype etc) telephone calls, adjust the volume, and skip tracks if playing music. The sound is not as good as my first-rate Sennheiser headphones (which cost a lot more), or even my Koss "The Plug" earbuds (which cost a lot less), but it is better than I expected: good enough to enjoy music, and excellent for voice purposes. The beep you hear for reaching min/max volume is pleasant.I always test products by NOT reading the instructions first - they should be easy enough to plug and play. I assumed that plugging the headphones in with the recharge wire was enough to use it, but it isn't: you need the USB dongle plugged in as well, but that was easy to figure out. The controls are intuitive, so I put on some music, and adjusted it from the headphones, and was able to skip tunes. Granted I am in a technical profession, but I was able to figure out everything but Bluetooth without using the instructions. Reading the instructions after I tried it out, I found there was nothing else to know than I had figured out. After trying out music, I tried Skype, using the Echo / Sound test service. The speaker's voice was very clear and full fidelity. My own voice was loud enough and quite clear when played back to me by that service. Trying it with a person, they said it sounded very good.Next I checked out the Bluetooth support (model h800 only). I had to consult the instructions to discover that the middle position of the on/off switch was for bluetooth (the other positions are off, and connect to computer). I also had to find the PIN was 0000, though that default is fairly standard for Bluetooth, and I would have know that if I had more Bluetooth devices. The comfort of the headphones, like their sound, is good enough, but not excellent. Most people would be happy to wear the headphone for hours. Some will find the headband and thin foam over the earphones themselves insufficient for comfort. I have a large head compared to the average man (have trouble finding hats that fit) and the headphones seem quite comfortable to me. They are at the middle range of the two size sliders, meaning that they would fit an even larger head, as well as smaller ones. They may be a bit large for small heads, such as for younger children, but they will probably work well enough.Six hours of battery life means that if you are working a full-time job and want to be wireless all day, you will need to take a break to recharge. It takes 3 hours for a full charge, so charging during a one hour lunch hour may or may not give you enough charge to finish your day.CONCLUSIONFour stars: I like it. I reserve five stars for products that I don't think could be improved, and don't give five stars often. These headphones would be better if the sound and comfort was as good as the best (e.g. Sennheiser or Bose), and if the USB connector was the more common Mini-B. [UPDATE 4/9/2012: I now consider MicroB to be a PRO, as it is replacing MiniB as the new standard] They should have slightly more battery time. However, they are very good for their use, and at this price, I would not hesitate recommending them to others.

This headset is awesome, but it does have a few flaws.PROS:* The Range...all I can say is WOW. I'm shocked at the range. You have to go pretty dang far before it starts to break up. My home office is on one end of my 2-bedroom apartment. I can walk all the way to the furthest corner, through 3 walls, and it sounds just as good as if I were sitting next to my computer. Normally, wireless devices over-promise and under-deliver on distance. Not this one. I have to go downstairs to my garage before it breaks up.* Clarity. I use this headset for conference calls with Skype. Before the headset, I just kept it on speakerphone and my coworkers reported echo, background noise, and general problems understanding me. With this headset, they said the clarity is perfect.* Audio. Don't expect it to match a BOSE headset, but it does sound really good. I bought this for conference calls so I didn't have to stay on speakerphone, but I find myself listening to music between calls.* Controls. Very handy to have them on the right ear. I can mute and walk to the kitchen for a glass of water. I can change music tracks while not at my desk. I can adjust the volume while I'm relaxing on my balcony with a glass of wine.* Durability. It's got a solid construction. I was especially surprised by the quality of the microphone. Headsets normally have a flimsy mic, but this one is quality.* Battery life. Logitech claims 6 hours of battery life. I've used it for 8 without dying. Maybe Bluetooth uses more battery?CONS:* Fit. This the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. While it's a bonus feature to be able to fold the headset up like a pair of glasses, I wish they hadn't done it. It makes the headset hard to form to your head. If you look down, you will feel them starting to slip off your head. If you tilt your head all the way down and do a little jiggle, it WILL fall off. Bad move, Logitech. It's not a huge problem for me, as I'm sitting upright looking at a computer screen when I'm using them, but I can see it being a problem other times.* No documentation. While the headset is extremely intuitive, I found it very surprising that there wasn't any documentation...not one single page.* No charging cable. I was a little surprised by this as well. You'll need to buy your own micro-USB cable to charge it. My phone uses the same type, so it wasn't a big deal for me.* No use while charging. I don't understand why they did this, but it's not that big a deal for me with the long battery life. I just charge it after work and switch my charging cable to my phone when I sleep.UNKNOWNS:* Bluetooth. I haven't tested the Bluetooth functionality because I only use it with my computer. If you're using a computer as well, I recommend using the USB transmitter rather than Bluetooth anyway, as you'll get better quality and range.NOTE:* The USB FM dongle is teeny-tiny. Don't lose it! On the left ear, there's a storage space for it when not in use. I thought that was cool.SUMMARY:While I did list several cons, they are pretty minor for me. As I said, the ONLY reason I didn't give it a 5-star rating is due to the slipping effect it has when you tilt your head down. It's got a solid construction, it's easy to use, and the performance is beyond my expectations. I would recommend this headset to anyone who has multiple conference calls in a day or wants to listen to iTunes from the other end of the house.

Ужасно

I've had the Logitech H800 Wireless Headset for three days now and it has been one disappointment after another. It looks great and feels good. And when it works, it works well. But I keep having problem after problem with it and there is no end in sight.Out of the box it was simple to pair with my Android phone (Samsung S3) and the sound quality was good. The "quick start guide" is sparse and has minimal information. The Logitech support website says the device can be paired with up to seven Bluetooth devices but, in my experience so far, I have to re-pair it with each new device. I had intended to use it with my phone and tablet but having to re-pair the thing each time I change devices is a nuisance.I wanted most to use the H800 as a wireless headset on my laptop for a Cisco soft phone and Skype. The first time I plugged in the USB nano dongle (and re-paired) it came up and worked well. But minutes later the USB device randomly disconnected. Nothing in the headphones - they just stop working - but I hear the sound Windows 7 makes when you unplug a USB device. Sometimes unplugging and replugging the USB nano will reset everything but, more often than not, I have to run the Logitech re-pairing utility (which I stumbled across on a post on their user community) and I frequently have to reboot the PC. Sometimes more than once. One moment it will be working and the next it quits. If I'm lucky I see a "USB device not recognized" error but usually the thing just stops working and I notice when sounds start coming from the laptop speakers rather than the headset. There's no telling when the USB connection on my H800 will disappear. It's a nuisance when I'm listening to music but it happens when I'm on the phone with colleagues or customers. "Support" from Logitech is pitiful. The "troubleshooting" section of the quick start guide refers you to a section that doesn't exist ("For more information see, Test the Headset") or suggests that you "try another computer." If you have the patience you might find an answer in their online user community but how pathetic is it to pay this much and then have to depend on other customers for support? The headset is comfortable and on the few occasions I've been able to complete a call people have told me that it sounded good. It might work better with Bluetooth only but the main reason I purchased it was to use as a headset on my laptop soft phone that performance with the supplied Logitech USB dongle has been unreliable. This one is going back and I'm going to look for another brand. I wish I could say this experience was not typical of what I experience with Logitech products but, sadly, that is not the case.

I now have four Logitech headsets - 2 Logitech ClearChat Pro USB Headset, 1 Logitech Wireless Gaming Headset G930 with 7.1 Surround Sound, and most recently the h800 wireless/Bluetooth headset.I have a home office where I do training and support for a software company. Skype is my primary phone (which is SO much better than a land-line) and I use the Logitech Wireless Gaming Headset G930 with 7.1 Surround Sound for my main all-day office headset. The G930 is over the ear and has a battery that is good for all day use, and can be charged while in use - great unit for in the office.I just got this Logitech h800 for travelling because it's smaller (being an On the ear), fold-able and has BOTH USB wireless and Bluetooth. I'm not going into detail about the sound quality because it's not designed for audiophiles (not that there's anything wrong with that) or JUST listening to music. Here's the Pros and cons:Pros:Does not require any of Logitech's abysmal headset software to be installed. Plug and play right out of the boxLightweight and comfortableFold-ableBluetooth AND USB wirelessWorks on my Macbook, PC, HP Touchpad, Samsung Galaxy S phoneCan switch between wireless USB and Bluetooth fairly quickly with a switch on the side of the headsetCan pair up to 7 Bluetooth devicesCharging cable is the same micro USB that my phone and other devices use, so now I have an extra travel cableThere is a compartment on the side of the headset that opens for storing the tiny USB receiver - slickMicrophone is small and tucks nicely into the headset for folding or listening onlyIt's so slick on switching from USB wireless to Bluetooth that I can switch from Skype to incoming cellular calls quickly that I would probably prefer this unit to my G930 for everyday office use if the battery would last all day. However, I do like the programmable buttons on the G930 so I can answer, hangup, and change to space squirrel voice during important phone calls with clients.Cons (none of these are deal breakers for me):Although I am still on the first battery charge, according to the product description, I don't think the charge would last for an 8 hour shift of heavy use in the office (not what I bought it for anyway)The iheart radio app on my tablet does NOT push sound to the h800 - other users have posted the same problem.Printed instructions for pairing could be betterNo red LED mute light on end of mic boom like my other Logitech headsetsNeeds a travel caseAll in all, I'm very pleased so far and it's exceeded my fairly demanding expectations. We'll see if the lightweight plastic parts hold up to travel use and whether the battery life is decent enough to be useful. If you're looking for a handy and multi-functional cross platform headset for all of your devices and don't need all day's worth of battery, I would solidly recommend this (at least on initial impressions and use). If I have any problems, I'll let you know.Update 2/17/2012 - Still loving itSo far I've only traveled locally with this headset but it's been very handy - really glad I got this. Battery life seems to be a little better than I expected - I could work most if not all day with it as long as it isn't a real heavy "phone" day.It doesn't turn off automatically after no use like my G930 does so several times I've left it turned on all day and overnight. When I discover that, it's still got a charge so it doesn't use as much battery when it's on and not in use. There is no battery life remaining indicator so I really don't know at any given time how much more I can use it before needing a charge.

I work from home and I needed to get a headset as my company transitioned from hardphones to softphones. This was one of the ones I was really looking at, and I wanted a wireless as I hated being tied down to the desk.As always, Amazon and UPS did great with shipping, as I got it when promised. The box is clean, opens easily after tearing through the tape holding the top on. The plastic carrier makes a good storage for the headset after it is opened because it is molded and actually locks at the top. It also holds the Nano Reciever nicely. The instructions and USB Charging cable are under the bottom of the box. The USB Cable is wrapped with the instructions.Setup is extemely easy.-----------------------The Nano Reciever can plug into Any USB Port.Windows Vista PC: Took it with no problems. I plugged in the nano reciever and it installed driver automatically. I was concerned about the mic, because Vista barely showed any pickup even at full volume. I started Skype and called their test service. When I heard it play back to me, I was extremely impressed. The sound level on Vista may not show its picking up, but wow...does it ever!Apple iPhone 4S: My iPhone picked up the headset without issue after I turned on the bluetooth. The sound quality of music and such is great, and the calls are nice and clear. Talking to Siri is easier because she can understand you better. I can turn the Bluetooth off and on, and all I need to do is tap the Logitech h800 and it instantly connects. The controls on the headset control the player with ease.Apple MacBook Pro: Took me a while to figure out why the Bluetooth wouldnt pair on my Macbook. Turns out, you have to press and hold the track rocker to Forward (wearing it on your head means you slide it up) and press Volume Up. (Forward+Vol Up). It takes about 3 to 5 seconds but it will be in pair mode (verifiable by the flashing light on the back). *This info is not in the instructions!* My MacBook picked it up instantly. Same as the iPhone, it works great with all sounds on the PC, even iTunes. The controls on the headset control the player with ease.- The volume control on this headset seems to be independent, so you can control the sound coming out of the headset, as well as independently controlling the volume on the PC/Mac/Phone.- You can use the headset while charging, and it can be plugged in and unplugged seamlessly.- Sound Quality for calls is excellent.- USB Charging Cable is thin and easy to work with.- Headset is very light and easy on your head. Pads are fluffy and it even has a nice padded headband.- Buttons on the side are easy to figure out. (Vol Up/Down, Play/Call, Mute. Slider controls Track Prev/Next. Power Switch is OFF/Bluetooth/Nano Reciever.) Play/Call does NOT activate Siri on iPhone 4S.- The left side of the headset has a door that can come off by twisting it, and under it is a slot that you can store the Nano Reciever in.- Mic boom is easy to manuever.- Headset folds in half for easy storage.- Switch instantly from a paired Bluetooth device to the Nano Reciever. Only issue is, it takes about 3 to 5 seconds for the headset to fully switch, so there is a bit of lag.- I currently have this connected with the Nano Receiver to my Vista PC, and Bluetooth to my MacBook and iPhone. I can switch easily between devices thru the devices themselves. Keep in mind that you CANNOT use two Bluetooth devices at a time.I recommend this headset, as it works great with any device.

Ужасно

When I purchased these headphones on August 2, there were only a very few negative reviews and only a couple of mentions of connectivity issues. Few enough, I thought, to safely ignore. I was wrong. These headphones have great specs, really. But after using them a couple of weeks, I began to have issues with pairing (via USB, I'm not using them for Bluetooth). At first, cycling power on the headphones or rebooting the PC would fix the problem, but eventually the annoyance and unreliability was bad enough that I consulted support and discovered the Logitech Pairing Utility. This utility is supposed to work for the H600, the H800, and the UE 3500. (There's a clue as to what other models you may wish to avoid purchasing. Thanks for the hint, Logitech!)Had I known of the existence of this utility and that something like it was not originally included as part of the software, I would have not purchased this headset or the aforementioned other models above. The necessity of the pairing utility is because, to quote Logitech, "You may need to re-pair your headset with its wireless receiver or pair it with a replacement receiver." Did you catch that? A replacement receiver? Looks like we know where the weak link is.I am writing this review today because about a three weeks ago, the connectivity issues became a daily thing, and tonight, after walking to the front door while wearing them, (far outside their operable wireless range) they utterly failed. The pairing utility is a sad little joke, really, because to get it to work, you hold a couple of buttons down for ten seconds while twisting your tongue into an 'S' shape and reciting the words "Made in China" three times while breathing in. (Some of that is not true.) But after all that, it mostly seems to think it was successful and proudly declares the accomplishment. "Success! Your wireless headset is ready to use." Only, the little blinky light on the headset is still flashing wildly, indicating it is still in pairing mode. Guess which one is telling the truth? If you guessed the pairing utility, then I recommend you purchase this headset as a gift for all your aged family members. Be sure to give them your email address so they can thank you each time they try to use the pairing utility. If you guessed that the wildly flashing headset is telling the truth, then congratulations, your research on this headset is done. You may stop reading these reviews and begin researching other headsets.
