Could not connect to my router from another room. When I moved the TV into the same room it finds the router, but that's not the room I want the TV in! After connecting to the router, the TV has a diagram showing trying to connect to the gateway. It fails. I try a few IP addresses. No good. I have connected a WII, IPAD, Vista, and Windows 7 to my wi-fi router. I am returning this device.

When I bought my LG LD42550 TV, I was a bit miffed that to connect it to my wireless home network, I'd have to shell out a couple of more Jacksons.I'm still miffed, but at least the configuration was simple and trouble-free. I plugged it in and it worked immediately. Netflix and Youtube both stream smoothly across my wireless network using this device.It is a shame that this isn't built into the TV, but at least it works well!

The product is well designed specifically for certain LG TV. It supports most of common technologies from 802.11a/b/g/n to WPA2. The setup is very easy, all persons has minor Wi-Fi setup experience can handle.

It works 99% of the time, 1st try. Couple of times asks for a reset/login. Would not work for high 1080 resolution on Vudu, however the movie played and looked good. I would recommend buying if you don't want, or can't run cat cable directly to your TV.

It was difficult to setup but what finally worked was setting up router to mix mode A&B. It is excellent and I am enjoying you tube my TV through my wifi.

I have a Blu-Ray player with built-in WiFi so I thought that it'd be a way to do firmware updates on my TV but I couldn't figure out how to make it work so I broke down and bought this adapter. (It sucked that I had to buy an adapter for a LG LED HDTV that costs an arm and a leg but it does work as advertised.)

My only criticism of this product is that LG should have included wireless capability in the set. That said, I've been using it for about a month and am very pleased. It took just a few minutes to set up (that includes my 'stumbling around' time, as I'm not IT gifted) and has functioned without a glitch ever since. Using mostly with Netflix and to a limited extent with YouTube and Cinema Now, and haven't encountered a single glitch. Really happy with this product!

This is a great LG Wi-Fi adaptor!!! I would recommend this product to all. Easy to install and use. Started watching NetFlix & Youtube right away.

If anyone is having issues with this adapter, buy an AmazonBasics USB 2.0 A-Male to A-Female Extension Cable. My LG tv is great, but I could not get the wireless adapter to work. Simple solution-a $5.00 USB extension cable. If you own this TV or plan to buy one and your router is not in the same room with the TV, buy this extension cable. I hope this advice helps.

I recently bought this adaptor in order to view Netflix movies on my new TV. The adaptor is a good quality and of high performance. It was about a 40% savings as compared to a retail store that I went to get information on adaptor. The prompt delivery during Christmas was also a plus.

This item worked very well just plug in and setup. It was easy to do. You do need to wait about 30 seconds when you first turn on the TV. Updates do take a few minutes to complete so do when you have time and do not plan to watch TV.

I ordered on 12/17/10, had the device within a week and had it working the same day it arrived. It literally was a plug and play type device. The TV recognized the device, I connected to a secure wireless connection by entering my network pass code and I was off and running.

I got this to make full use of my LG's TV potential. Setup was easy and straightforward. The only drawback was that the programming in the USB was not current. The software version had to go through 3 cycles of updates to be useful. Each cycle takes about 25 minutes. Other than that, I am pleased with my purchase.

Bought this device to go along with my newly purchased LG LE8500 TV. Setup of the device was simple and quick. Was online in less than 5 mins. After connecting to wireless I was able to update firmware for the TV. Downloads were quick an easy.My wireless router is on a different floor and probably about 30 feet away. If I wanted to hardwire the TV it would have been a significant amount of work. So this was a much better solution.Bought for $44.63 off Amazon (November 2010).

Almost plug and play. Simply plug in, type in your network passkey, and go. Best part is it updates the ROM on the LG TV automatically anytime there is an update. PLEASE NOTE: for an LG TV you MUST use their adapter and not a generic USB wifi adapter. They will not work on the LG. I tried it and it failed so I bought the LG wifi and it worked right out of the package.

LG has good tech support but I'll be damed if they could even come close to solving my problems with this hunk of junk.Worthless save your money on something thats proven or use Etrhernet which is flawless.Returned it within 2 weeks after unsucessfully trying over and over again.

This worked just as described... The only thing that is silly about this product is the ridiculously bright blue LED that will not turn off. When I had this plugged into the back of my 42LE5500 I thought that the case was leaking light, until I saw that it was this...A small piece of electrical tape will block out the light, so that solves the problem, but why the problem exists in the first place is beyond me...

This adapter was purchased to allow netflix/internet access from our new LG LEC LCD TV. The adapter was shipped promptly and arrived in good condition. It does what it's supposed to do. However, I don't understand why the TV wasn't made so the adapter isn't necessary. I mean, who's going to pay extra for a TV w/ access to internet applications and not use that feature?

I picked this up for my new LG TV and from the moment I plugged it in I've been able to stream Netflix beautifully. I'm only streaming in Standard Def, but I've never had any noticeable lag. It sure beats the hassle of trying to make a wired connection to an adjoining room.

Im using this with my new LG 3D TV 6500 47" and while it hooked up fine, and my wireless router is just in the next room, this wireless connection keeps dropping off every few minutes for 10-20 seconds, then connects up again. On both VUDU and Netflix. Probably will send this back and go wired. I wonder if there is a better USB wireless adaptor that also works with these LG tv's?

Spent a great deal of time trying various methods to connect my LG TV, this adaptor to my Belkin N+ router. Adapter recognized router but always failed to connect. After contacting LG Support - they indicated the Wireless USB adaptor does not currently work with Belkin N+ routers at this time, and I sould either buy a new router or plug it in to the router directly.

All I had to do to install this was insert it and turn the tv on. Updates downloaded automatically, and then netcast was ready to use.

The adaptor works great. Just plug and play.But,...why not just install it in the TV rather that make it another purchase?
