My old router died a miserable death after 5 years, so I was looking for a low cost quality replacement. I found itt in this router! my wi fi internet speed is around 8 to 8.5 megs and there is no lag time at all. I also have a Roku wireless receiver for my tv to watch such things as Hulu Plus and Netflix, the upload time is very fast (30 to 45 seconds in HD) so I'm very pleased with that.A total recommend, you wont go wrong with this one!

spent over 20 hours between 3 people trying to get online using d-link producks, ended up returning them buying something else.I will never buy another d-link product.

I'm not having ANY internet problems, and the unit arrived within a few days. Very happy with the service, and the device. Qwest tried to sell me a $100.00 modem/router! Ha!Judy

The router came quickly and was easy to set up. I wanted it to replace one that would constantly stop working and need to be power cycled. I have had this one for over a month now and my only complaint is that it has had to be power cycled twice already. That knocked a star off my rating. Aside from that it has worked great. The web interface and android app that allow you to check it are also pretty cool.

I got this for use on the road. It is a good size and light in weight. It was difficult to set up and I required technical assistance that was good.

This router has great range. We have a huge house with very thick walls. This router has no drop off it seems no matter how many walls it has to go through. But it is not easy to set up, and I never copleted the set up. Just plug and play it works, but trying to name your network and security and icloud, I found it cumbersome to point I just quit.

As far as routers go, the DIR605L is definitely the best bet for the money. I did a bit of research and saw that this was highly recommended by cnet, and haven't been disappointed. Only had to restart it twice since I bought it.

It is so worth. It's small so it doesn't take much space when it comes to it. the installation is very easy to complete, practically does it on its own. Great signal. It manages to do exactly what it says it does.

THIs is working perfectly for me. The set up was as easy as the reviews said. The only problem was that one of the antennaes came out of the slot and doesnt stay up. just leans or flops. I am afraid to try too hard to puch it back in as AI don't wnat to break it off completely. However, since it works so well I don't want to stop using it until the company could replace it..

I bought this router to replace my old linksys wrt54g router as it could not deliver a strong signal to the far corners of my house (the walls are very thick), upon purchasing this router I was very pleased. The packaging was great the instruction manual made setup a breeze and the signal strength is awesome for the price. The Advanced settings in the router itself are a bit basic but for the price, I cannot complain. The router itself is small, the antennas compared to the router are big but are in no way intrusive. I downloaded their myDlink app on my Windows phone but I have yet to use it. If you are looking for an affordable Wireless Router with good signal strength I would definitely recommend this!

I ordered this Wireless Router because I received a Kindle Fire HD for Christmas & needed a wireless network. The price of this router was reasonable. It was easy to install & does not take up alot of space. If you are looking for a wireless network that downloads fast you may want to get one bigger than this one. This one works great for the Kindle Fire & also works great for WiFi on your cell phone.

Used this to extend the reach of my wifi network using powerline adapters. I Connected the WD powerline live adaptor to the router upstairs and this one was plugged into a electric socket downstairs and was used as a wifi extender to extend wifi range. Worked well - now I get wifi on all floors.Bought 2 more to use as a powerline connector to my sonos and tivio. At this basement price this was cheaper than buyIng dedicated powerline adaptors

The router is upstairs with our desktop and I use the laptop downstairs. On the laptop, it seems to take a long time to connect and sometimes it even fails. So, it does add some convenience by having only one internet line, but not much.

had a few issues with set up as I have never done it before. their costumer service was great, the guy walked me through it politely.It works great, we connect several devices including ps3, tablets and laptops.

the ethernet ports are extremely loose, so much so that a truck going by can cause signal loss. the antenna broke because this POS loses the ability to connect if the modem goes out for a fraction of a second. slower than the ancient linksys router i had at first in 2001. dial up was more reliable. my wife says webtv was faster. i cannot recommend enough that you keep looking before buying this overpriced doorstop.

It worked really well for two months and then it just died. It would not connect to my modem. I tried different wire connections, tried to reset it and reinstall it, everything I could think of. Never got any response from D-Link Support Services despite 2 requests. Never had a problem with a D-Link product before but this one broke and no one would help me.

I ordered this and waited until my sion in law could help set it up since he is so good with technology - It took two hours and a call to the company - had to wait on hold 30 minutes and the person was not patient; Finally got it working and it does work well, but it shouldn't have to be so difficult.

This was purchased to replace a Verizon router. The Verizon router had very poor wireless performance and had cryptic port forwarding capability. The Dlink unit solved both problems. The wireless connections now come up in a few seconds instead of minutes and the port forwarding we needed to setup was easily done. The only problem in setting things up had to do with the AVG fire wall and had nothing to do with the Dlink.a side benefit is that the Dlink only uses about 4 watts while the Verizon was about 15 watts. As these things run 24 hour, that is about a $10/year difference.

Delivers good performance within 20 feet....drops off to one bar at about 35 feet. Initially some signal drop but that may have been Verizon's fault. Good for my purposes. Pretty much got what I expected

This is definitely a smart buy if you're looking for something that meets the basic wireless internet needs. I live in a three story house and have it placed in the bottom floor and still have perfect signal in all corners of the house. I would really recommend it for the common internet user looking for a cheap but robust router.

I purchased this router on Black Friday. It was hard to set up, the instructions were not clear and customer service is a joke. I sent them an email to request assistance the day after black Friday and still have not received a response. I have called and was placed on hold so long I almost fell asleep. I am sure the product works well when you finally get it set up, but unfortunately I cannot submit a review on the product effectiveness because I have yet to use it.

It sounds sci-fi, but this router can't set time to 2013. It doesn't even work in the simulator on DLink's website. if everything DLink clames would work, it would be a six start product. It works, but doesn't like to be managed.

Follow the directions for setup as they are self explanatory. The wireless is fast with little to no noticeable lag time; I use a Roku player that is linked through wireless while surfing the web and I have little to no problems with a 30 Mbps connection.

me encanta la marca dlink son lo mejor de lo mejor sus productos me han durado a?os , este se comporta de maravilla , el dns es totalmente maravilloso puede acceder desde cualquier parte a mis servidores en casa sin el problema de estar molestando llamando a casa para saber la ip lo recomiendo es la misma interfaz web que es una maravilla

I did not like it. I did not bother to return it . I threw it away. I had the hardest time setting it up. After a whole day of trying to set it up trying again and again. I just put the old one back on and then call comcast and paid 50.00 to have them put one on.

I just received this and plugged it in and it seems to be working OK. But I was looking for an IPv6 capable router and contrary to the vendor marketing blurbs on Amazon, this device does NOT support ipv6. Whoever wrote the marketing blurb confused ipv6 with automatic setup. ("Simple. Supports IPv6 for simple router setup "). I went through the entire menu tree without finding ipv6 and finally went to the dlink site to find this model is not on the ipv6 support list.

I know some folks loved this router. That is why I ordered it. I could not get it to work. I spent many hours trying and on the phone with tech support. Accessing tech support was a nightmare as well. Their phone tree was extremely frustrating. I was told by tech to report it online. Of course I could not get online since my router would not work.Fortunately I was easily able to re-install my G router that came with a CD.The D-Link has no CD.

Admittedly, I don't have much to say. The router works exactly as it should and I've never experienced any kind of drop in service. There was a short period of confusion with the set up because I had never used a router in the past, but once I got it going, I've been very satisfied.However, I should disclose that I live in a 2BR apt., so there isn't tons of space between my devices and the router. But again, my experience with D-link has been positive.

So far this router is screaming fast. The setup was easy, but did require some waiting and restarts to get it all up and running. My computers and devices are loading pages at hyper-space speeds. I'll update if I have any issues. If this is over two weeks old and there are no updates then everything is golden

Its been a week and so far its been good. I dont see any major issues.The setup was smooth and i like the cloud feature where you can see what all devices are connected.I haven't tested the range completely. I have a fairly small house so i dont see range as an issue.

I was expecting something different. This is a "good" router for a beginner. It has very basic functions and even that the cloud access is a plus, is not a real router. Main functionalities are traffic Control, URL filtering, wireless Distribution System (WDS) support, Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS), MAC address filtering, Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) and NAT support.
