A client wanted to upgrade his laptop's memory and Crucial has a good reputation and the price was low. The upgrade was simple and the client quite happy since I could do it while he waited.

Fits perfectly and works flawlessly with my Lenovo R61. Really speeds up the computer. I'm a bit of a techie, and so far Crucial and Kingston are the only two brands of RAM I use. Haven't been disappointed yet.

Installed easily and I did not have any problems. The computer ran better after the upgrade. I always buy Crucial Memory when i can, they have the best quality. The only memory I have ever had fail was not Crucial Brand, so I try to stick with them.

For the price this is a great buy. It came right away and I Installed it on a HP Elitebook 6930p laptop and I did not see any issue for a few months. I would recommend this as a excellent buy.

It is what it is and it operates exactly as it is suppose to used this in combination with an ssd to bring an old pc up to speed. No memory faults or anything. check out my review on the vertex 2 ssd for more info.

For those of you just buying your 1st Asus product, this is the RAM for the 1201N if you need to know what goes in that notebook/netbook. The OEM configuration is 2 x 1GB SODIMMs, so you must replace *both* DIMMs with new 2GB modules to maxx out the SDRAM @ 4GB. There's a kit with 4GB of this SDRAM here at Amazon.com if you look for it, and the price is a tiny bit cheaper than buying 2GB twice like I did.With the 1201N, to install this upgrade to 4GB you must first disable Boot Booster in BIOS, ie do this BEFORE you take the notebook's RAM cover off and replace the memory modules. After replacing the modules, then boot back up into BIOS (F2 key, tap it every 1/2-second until you see the BIOS screen displayed) and go to the 1st window there where RAM is listed. Make certain that 4096MB RAM is being shown in that window, and you're good to go! Go to the BIOS screen (NO.3) where Boot Booster resides again, enable it, hit F10 to save and exit, hit Enter, and you're done! Boot back up normally into Windows after that to enjoy the 4GB RAM versus stock's 2GB RAM.I always like to make *triple sure* that all is well, and I use Everest Ultimate Utility with my PC's, all of them get it installed, and sure enough with Everest's display for RAM it showed 4GB RAM on board also, 2 x 2GB SODIMMs in slots 1 and 2, so all was good with my installation of this RAM. Windows Task Manager with the 1201N will show 3328MB RAM available, and that's Windows way of looking at it, there's nothing wrong with that-- 32-bit OS will only allow 3.25GB of RAM for the OS, and the rest ION graphics gets with the 1201N...so that's where the other contingent of RAM has 'vanished' to with Task Manager's assessment if you go there and look for available RAM.As to how the 1201N works with 4GB of RAM vs 2GB RAM? It is able to multi-task much better, and of course things are faster when you have multiple windows and programs open at the same time. I find that boot time improves also, in my case to less than 1 minute from a cold boot, and restarts take less than 30 seconds; with 4GB of RAM on board. I am not running the 32-bit OS though, so part of the credit for fast response goes to a nice, clean install of 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium, and I can highly recommend that to anybody who owns the 1201N...it transforms the notebook to a much better computer to dispense with all of the 32-bit garbage from AsusTek, all those drivers and utilities that do nothing but slow down the computer can be dispensed with, and the computer is that much better for it!Overall, the Asus 1201N loves 4GB of RAM, and it's a very worthwhile addition to an already great computer, perhaps the best notebook/small laptop that costs less than $500 today, you know? Having 4GB of RAM vs 2GB is an easy thing to do, the computer benefits a bunch, and your work will be easier, faster, with this nice Crucial RAM.For your information the RAM has 6-6-6-18-51-2T Clocks timing overall in the 1201N, so it's not the barn burner stuff that the Elpida RAM from Kingston is, but then again, it doesn't suffer from the problems of Elpida RAM either! So it's a good thing, I think, to use this RAM instead of the Kingston RAM, which is very aggressive with 4-4-4-12-34-2T Clocks timing. There are those who love the Kingston RAM, but I don't want to take a chance with Elpida RAM at this time...too many failures have been documented and I don't want that in my computers.That's about a wrap on this Crucial 200-pin 800Mhz PC-6400 RAM. I think it's a bargain at Amazon.com's pricing, it comes in a nice package so it's probably going to be aok fine in terms of a fragile transit...none of that here...and Crucial is good SDRAM, known to be effective, good brand RAM that works great in normal applications. I highly recommend this RAM for the Asus 1201N, it's the brand to get!Wavey Davey - 2-7-2010

There is one of those products that the review is either, it was hard to install or not, it worked or it did not.Well for me, I inserted the memory card into the device with no problem, turned on the computer and the memory was instantly recognized and has been working fine ever since.Good price for this, not exactly a huge bargain, but well worth what I paid for it.

Added to an old Inspiron 1501 runinng vista. Made a almost useless system run like better than new. Shipping was very quick and was packaged new. A must if u have a old 1501 collecting dust that u would like to revive. This is the max ram this laptop will use.
