Well what can I say I brought this memory for my hp mini notebook.I don't see it being any faster the notebook shows 2gb from 1gb I wonder did I buy the right one?

This review is for 2GB (2x 1GB sticks) of Crucial 200-Pin DDR2 SODIMM (PC2 5300 / DDR2-667) dual channel laptop memory. The memory was installed and utilized in a Dell Inspiron E1505 laptop (Core Duo T2500) that was manufactured mid-2006, and uses Microsoft Windows Media Center Edition (XP SP-2) as the main operating system.The installation was painless and took less than 5 minutes due to the easy access to the slots. I used nitrile rubber gloves to handle the memory in an effort to minimize contamination and static electricity. Once installed, the BIOS will ask you to confirm the changes to the memory capacity. I verified that the SODIMM sticks were indeed DDR2-667 / 2GB total.Performance-wise, I did not notice any differences in boot-up or loading of applications using the Crucial RAM over the original 1GB (512MB x2 DDR2-533). I did want 2GB of RAM to prevent XP from using the swap file when using memory intensive applications.Cost-wise, Newegg offered this "kit" at the lowest price and I am amazed at how inexpensive the memory was for a 2-year old laptop. I highly recommend you check and see how much it would cost to max out the RAM in your laptop because it is worth it. 1-1.5 GB will make life easier in XP, but 2GB (the max for my E1505) is icing on the cake. 512MB of RAM for XP is really pushing it but still feasible.Pros: Inexpensive, Crucial stands for high quality / lifetime warranty against defects, decent performance, and painless installation.Cons: Not as fast as the high-performance brands (Mushkin, OCZ) but there are other real bottlenecks in a laptop besides the RAM (such as video card, CPU, hard drive, motherboard chipsets).Overall: The Crucial 2GB kit offers significant value and if I had realized it was so inexpensive, I would have upgraded years ago.

I bought this for my MacBook(Mid 2007). Works great notice the speed increase. The only issue is that if you have to restore your mac it might not work with the memory so keep your old memory just in case. Great Product!

I upgraded my Asus EeePC 1000HE with this memory and immediately noticed improved speed with even simple tasks like web browsing. It was very easy to install and I followed the instructions posted here for accessing the Bios at startup so it would recognize the new chip. This is a very cheap way to upgrade an already excellent netbook to maximize performance. It also allowed me to play with overclocking the 1000HE, which has resulted in even better performance.

These appear to work great in my Mac Mini. Be careful about installing yourself (the box is "not user serviceable") or take it to a Mac Store. VERY noticeable improvement in performance.

Shortly after buying the Asus EeePC netbook, I decided a bit more RAM would be a good thing, so back to Amazon I went, and found this quick, easy, and cheap upgrade. Installation required almost no time, and the unit performs as expected.

Hi, I just bought a new Asus Eee PC (1005HA-P, with BT and the N270 processor, etc.), and I just love it...In case anyone is wondering, and to avoid further confusion about memory upgrades for it,THIS is the SODIMM module (800Mhz) that comes installed in this laptop.The data bus speed of the motherboard is 667Mhz, and the 667Mhz speed memory will work too, but...It's the 800Mhz SODIMM that comes PRE-INSTALLED FROM ASUS. Does the upgrade from 1GB to 2GB really help in multitasking? I don't think so! When I open Google Chrome, MSN, thunder(a chinese downloading software) and some other applications in the background, the RAM usage never go beyond 1 GB, but the CPU(Intel Atom N270) is just the weak one that slows all things down. When I try to do the same thing on my old notebook (Celeron M1.73Ghz, 1GB RAM, Intel GMA950), the performance is much better. So the multitasking performance never depends on the memory only, but on CPU, even if you have the strongest Corsair DDR3 4GB memory, it does not make any difference, because the CPU just sucks! And the graphic performance is also no match to my old notebook even they have the same graphic cards. Well, the netbook is not for much multitasking or gaming, this memory is useless per se. I don't recommend you buy it. It only improves your performance psychologically. Understand?

I got a netbook strictly for travel....to get on the web and to store back-up copies of photos. So, I was planning to leave it at one gig. However, an in-store person showed me the difference in speed between 1 and 2 gigs of RAM. So, I got the extra RAM. I am a mechanical idiot, so mercifully, the RAM was very easy to install. I followed the Amazon instructions to hit F2 and then F10, but am not sure whether the BIOS would have utilized the extra RAM whether or not I did that. All is well. The netbook seems to run faster.

I bought this when I ordered my ASUS netbook. I wanted to upgrade the memory to 2GB in that. It arrived the same day as the netbook and was not a problem to install. Seems to be working fine. I would buy from the company again.

After two years of ownership, my laptop wasn't working too well. It took forever to start up and shut down and getting things done was an exercise in patience. Instead of tossing the old PC, I decided to perk it up with some more memory. Using Crucial's website, I determined what type of memory I needed and ordered it from Amazon. I increased my memory from 512MB to 2GB. The package had 2 1GB modules. Installation took all of 5 minutes. I just opened the memory hatch on the bottom of my laptop, popped out the old module and slid in the new ones. The moment I fired up the PC running Crucial's memory, it instantly perked up. It was like a brand new computer! Now I can multi-task like never before. Crucial's memory was very helpful. I would definitely buy from them again!

Purchased this memory to install in my Asus Eee 1005HA, and I was very pleased with the results. Internet browsing and using multiple applications has become much smoother - definitely a good investment!!! Would purchase again.

It worked out as i needed it to. i bought this next to a same model 1gb ram. so i have 3 gb installed and it works great... ive had it for a month and im satisfied with this buy. Tho i hoped/thought that it would give a more considerable push to my machine it still enhanced boot speed between other response points.

UPDATE:I have been using this for about 2 Years now. And I have never encountered any memory related error. I run my ThinkPad with no Virtual Memory. (For Non technical folks: It means everything you are working on resides in RAM and not on Hard Disk). And memtest86+ came out with 0 errors after 2 years of use. So I have to reaffirm that its a great memory product. Good job Crucial!ORIGINAL REVIEW:I purchased this a month back to upgrade my ThinkPad T61 memory. Passed the memtest86+ test. Working great so far.Giving it 4 because of the packaging. The clam-shell pack is not good for such sensitive products, there is a good chance of damaging the module while getting it out of the shell.I'll update if I have a problem.

I purchased this module for my new ASUS Eee PC 1000HE. The installation was as easy as on any other laptop. You will be able to do it even if you have no technical knowledge.Memory upgrades are one of the cheapest, easiest upgrades you can perform on a PC, and they are one of the only ones you can do on notebooks or netbooks. I didn't even fool around with the computer before installing this RAM, so I can't say whether there is a noticeable difference in performance, but for $20-25 how can you go wrong?Crucial is a "household name" in computer memory. I have used their RAM before in other PC's, and have never had an issue. While I just installed this particular module, I am not expecting to experience any issues whatsoever, and so far it is performing up to expectations.I would definitely recommend this cheap, simple upgrade for anyone hoping to increase their PC's performance instantly!

Works as expected. The cover on the Toshiba NB205 does not come off easily. I was afraid I would break it, but it just comes off hard. After that, the memory was easily installed, and only had to boot up for the netbook to recognize the additional memory. No need to go into bios and change any settings.

I bought this memory stick for my new netbook and was so glad I did. It was easy to install and there have been no issues with it. I can't imagine the netbook without it. For a small investment, you can more than double the speed of your netbook. I highly recommend getting this just as other reviewers recommended when I bought my netbook.

The Acer works well and has a fast internet connection. The keyboard is small and takes some adjusting. My husband reports the keyboard to be impossible to use -- so it seems to work best for smaller hands. The Dell netbook keyboard is much easier to use and does not seem so crunched - but the Dell is also pricier. The keyboard also feels a little flimsy.

I bought a Toshiba NB205 netbook and this upgrade was recommended to to from 1G to 2G RAMM. It arrived in the mail right on time and it snapped right into the netbook. You only have to remove one screw from the back panel. Bingo! Done! I'm not a computer geek but I figured it out just fine. And it did improve the speed of the netbook right away. If you get a NB205, go ahead and order this upgrade. You will be very happy with it.
