good upgrade for cheap.... i found it very easy to install on my acer took maby five min. but make sure you use a really tiny screw driver or you will strip the screws.

I bought this on Amazon with my new ASUS Eee pc and recently had issues with netbook so sent it back to ASUS. They say that the memory caused the issue. It was easy to install and worked great for 2 months but then who knows? The crappy part is that ASUS sent my computer back with the memory out and it still doesnt work and now I have to pay the return shipping!!! AAHHHH

Even though Amazon lists it on the 1000HE page, Crucial recommends the 800 MHZ version. Well, I went with Amazon (didn't even go to [...] to check) and although it works, my .wmv and mpegs views now look choppy. Here is what Crucial recommends: Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200-pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2-6400 Memory Module. That is what I just ordered. I'll update when I install it. I'm not the only one this happened to. I posted a question on the EEEPC discussion board and got a couple of responses that others had the same thing happen.Oh, and before I get the inevitable question, yes the new memory is being recognized. I show 1.99GB in the system information.Update: The CT25664AC800 is in and vids are now processing properly. Go to the Crucial website (that is the [...], above, the Amazon censors are at it again). They will give you their recommendations. They seem to be correct.

I used crucial software to check my machine, once I knew what kind of memory I needed, I decided to buy it with Amazon because it was cheaper than at crucial website.

It definately speeds my computer and all but it didnt recognize it when we turned the computer back on... Thank goodness my fiance is good with computers because i would have never known to press the F2 button or anything. It doesnt come with instructions or a instilation--well, anything-- but it works great and i would recomend it

Title says it all, installed this in my 1005 PE and now computer frequently hangs when shutting down and fails to go to sleep. Still investigating issue, but buyer beware for now.

Went on the crucial website and they recommended this ram after using their scanner. So far their site has yet to give me a wrong part for my computer and it has always worked very well in my computers. If you do not have much memory (1GB or less these days) and this ram fits in your laptop you should definitely get it because it sped up my computer slightly, led to a lot less crashing in my programs, and is probably the cheapest well known brand (kingston was cheaper by a dollar or 2 but I have yet to be steered wrong by crucial and wanted to play it safe).

With the help of Youtube, I installed this RAM into my Macbook Pro in about 3 minutes. My computer instantly recognized the memory and it's been working fine ever since.

Our old Inspiron laptop was quickly making its way to the back of the closet until a RAM upgrade made it our primary home computer again. Amazing what some more RAM and a reformatting of the HDD does for a laptop that wasn't pulling its weight.

I have installed this module in my EeePC 901 in less than 5 minutes. Nothing especial was required, even in the BIOS and my OS (Eeebuntu) detected it without any problems.I didn't notice any speed improvement as I recently changed my SSD from the original one to a faster one, and that was definitively the bottleneck in the speed of the system. Although this memory is CL5 and the original one is CL4, I see the same performance.

When I got the product it was easy to install but the computer, Asus, would not recognize the additional gig. Went to Staples and asked them what to do and they told me I had been sold the wrong memory. That did not seem right. So, I called Crucial and they told me that the Bios had to be updated. A restart and two function keys and it was all done. Wish I had been told that up front.

Probably the easiest performance booster for the Acer Aspire One netbook. Replace the stock 1Gb with this stick of 2GB ram provides an ample boost with noticble gains in performance. I can now open applications faster and have multiple windows open without slowing down my netbook. The netbook seems to start up fairly faster as well. I tried out some photo editing softwares, such as Lightroom, on my netbook before and after the upgrade and performance increase was noticble.Took me less than 5 minutes to unscrew and pop out the small tab at the bottom, pop out the old ram, insert and lock new ram into place, replace tab and screw and reboot. Easy!

I bought this to upgrade my Dell Mini 9 netbook from the 512mb of ram it came with to 2gb which is the maximum supported on the Mini 9.Installation was a breeze, flip the mini 9 over, take out the screws over the ram cover, open it up, you'll see two clips holding the existing memory in place, push them away from each other gently and pull the memory chip toward you and out. Reverse the process to pop this in.My computer saw the new memory immediately and it just worked.I can say my machine is much faster now and this was MUCH cheaper than paying Dell the extra money for 2gb of ram when I ordered the Mini 9.

I picked up this extra RAM for my Dell Mini 10v. The Dell Mini 10v comes with 1GB of RAM per Microsofts limitations (not the hardware). The disassembly procedure is fairly involved and is definitely not for a technophobe. If you doubt your tech skills, take is to a computer repair shop and have a professional do the installation. Overall, it was worth the effort. The difference in performance between 1GB and 2GB of RAM is simply AMAZING. Well worth the money.

I bought my computer a few months ago with 2gb of memory...which was enough at the time. I started doing a lot of video editing lately, and noticed a big of lag while using other programs.I decided to upgrade to 4gb, and wow was it a good decision. The crucial memory modules came super fast (like everything I order from Amazon) they went in my computer even faster.I immediately went in and checked my system status and noticed it said 4gb, just like I hoped lol. I started my Sony Vegas video editing software, and opened a 41gb wedding video I had been working on...not even a single hesitation!I then opened the internet and resource killing Excel 07, both ran without a hitch and even while switching from application to application the computer continued to impress!If your looking for a bit of help in the memory department on your PC, pick up a few of these crucial memory modules. You will notice a big difference!

No problems to install. You must be OK with taking the memory cover off the back and pulling out the old one and inserting the new one. Definitely recommended upgrade for Toshiba netbooks.

Ordered this laptop memory based on the Amazon ad which stated if you bought the Samsung Netbook you should buy this memory and a carrying case for the netbook. Have had nothing but problems for the past month ++. (Screen completely goes black) Been on the phone with Samsung tech support and crucial tech support for days. Finally found out we had the wrong memory card. Sent back to Amazon, don't know what they will do for us.

I have an ASUS Eee PC 1005HA for my field photography work running Windows XP. While it runs basic applications like web browsers without any issues, you need a memory upgrade to run programs like Photoshop Elements, and ProShow Gold. These programs get a boost from additional memory (an external USB-powered HD would help too).

As it has been stated and in case you miss it: When upgrading RAM make sure to refresh your BIOS by hitting F2 until you enter into the BIOS. You should see that the system is now reading all of your RAM and then hit F10 to save changes even though you did not really make any in the BIOS. This allows the computer to now "see" your upgraded RAM. Otherwise your computer might only see the original amount of RAM.Other than that, this memory is excellent and so is Crucial's website. It has a tool for checking out your memory on any computer and telling you what kind you need to buy and how much you can upgrade it. Check it out on the company's website.
