I purchased this memory for my new Asus 1005 HA Netbook. While the price was reasonable and performed as designed, it was rather difficult to get the memory working. There was a video on the Crucial website that showed how to install the memory that was very good. Unfortunately the video and the Crucial website did not mention that after installing the hardware, the netbook will not recognize the 2GB of RAM until you enter the BIOS screen by pressing F2 when the computer starts up. After you press F2 to enter the BIOS screen, you need to save the new memory settings by pressing F10.I spent 1 hour fooling around with the memory until I came across the BIOS setup advice on a negative Amazon review. While this wasn't a problem with Amazon per se, it still was a frustrating experience.

I bought two of these along with an Acer Aspire AS1410-2039. It came with two 1 gig sticks in it and I wanted to max the memory out, since it can take up to 4 gig. Installation was easy, though this has to do more with the laptop than the memory itself, but for anyone who hasn't put new memory sticks in a computer before, it is really straight forward.The sticks have functioned properly and I've had no issues, going on 3 months now.I can't really compare the speed or any other metrics as I've not used any other memory in the machine and haven't done any testing of the memory. But the laptop runs very, very well and I've had no issues with bad dimms. I've always done well with Crucial in the past and they haven't let me down here either.

This is a good deal, especially with the free 4G SD card; and it takes less than five minutes once you understand how to do it. (Do allow extra time to get the package open. I suggest a blowtorch.)Also, Crucial has a good support site with a moderated user forum where you can get assistance pretty quickly. The Acer site also has instructions for adding memory and live chat is available if you need help. I called on both of them since I was a little scared of opening up my new computer.My new memory was accepted without a hitch and I noticed an immediate improvement in performance.

This part is not totally compatible with the ASUS 1005pe, eventhough it was claimed as being so by Amazon. When you try to shut down the computer, it will not shut down 75% of the time unless you shut down in high performance or super high performance mode.

The memory was a great add on to my Asus Eee PC. It definitely give my laptop a boost, i can surf the web alot faster than before and can open and joggle several program at a time easier now.

I bought this as an upgrade to my Acer AOD250-1584 netbook. Installation was a piece of cake and it really took the netbook from being adequate to great, IMO. It handles as many open windows and streaming videos as I can throw at it. I have not had any problems. Very satisfied.

My HP tx2525nr came with 3GB of memory, in 1 GB/2 GB pairing. I was happy to find for sale the correct RAM that I could purchase one piece of, rather than most which come in a pair. Installation was a snap (literally), and adding this along with upgrading to Windows 7 has dramatically improved my computer's performance. (My computer is not perfect, but it is much, much better now.)

Got a used Dell Inspiron 1011 Mini 10v Manufactured 8/2009 for $190.Wanted to run XP with 2 Gigs. NBD. Except installing in a mini 10v is hair-raising! It's important to follow the service guide (thank you Dell!) to disassemble the mini down to the motherboard. Then flip it overput memory in and backtrack to re-assemble.Say a prayer then hit the "ON" button.Why Dell couldn't put a second trap-door in this like the Sharp mini has I don'tknow. Would have been a lot easier.Not for the faint of heart. You really risk screwing up any of a dozen thingswhen taking a laptop completely apart. Oh Well! Next stop Wireless-N!OH. Crucial makes good memory. This one is no exception. When I needed to increase RAM in my Dell 1501 I picked this one based on quality and price. It has done the job well as good mememory should.

I bought a Lenovo S10 and have had it over a year now. I bought this ram upgrade at the same time I bought my Lenovo and I'm very pleased. Two of my friends have Lenovo S10's (stock with 1GB of ram) and their's seem noticeably slower then my mine (I have 2GB). Ram is probably the cheapest upgrade to make your computer (or netbook) quicker. Just make sure there is a ram access door on the bottom of your laptop or netbook. And that your laptop or netbook with it's operating system that's installed can support more ram.

Installed and updated the memory that come with the machine with this one. There is no issue, faster windows boot up time and application opening with multiple windows.Use on Dell mini 1012 with intel Atom n450.

I ordered this Crucial chip from Amazon and at a good price and free shipping. I purchased this for a brand new Acer Aspire One AOD250 netbook. I received the netbook as a gift and knew I wanted to upgrade the 1GB of RAM to 2GB. I removed the cover on the netbook and removed the 1 GB chip and installed this new 2GB chip before I ever started the netbook for the very first time. Total installment time was less than 5 minutes.I then started the netbook for the first time and pressed the F2 setup to begin and to make sure it recognized this new RAM. No problems of any kind. Has worked great in the new netbook but I cannot actually tell how much faster it made it since I did not run the netbook with the original 1GB in it. Crucial is great as is Amazon and I have had excellent luck in the past with both companies.

I've built my own computers, upgraded, and replaced ram in laptops, so I knew what I was doing. If you don't know what you are doing, look up tutorials with corresponding picture or video.To be clear from the start, I've done no in depth testing of the ram for performance only functionality.I used this to replace the standard 1 gig in my new Windows XP Samsung N110, it immediately registered on the first boot with no problems. Personally, I don't know why netbooks don't come with 2 gigs standard.I occasionally get some lag hiccups, but that is due to my use of the netbook almost as a normal laptop. But regularly run open office and chrome on multiple webpages including facebook and gmail using their respective chat programs.In the end, it says it is a 2 gig stick of memory and that is what it is. I don't know why reviewers are saying that same statement and giving it 4 stars.I'm not brand loyal and not commenting on the price. As an intelligent shopper you should search for the best deal, this review is purely saying the ram is what it says it is and works.

I bought this item for a Lenovo Ideapad S10-3T and it does an excellent job. It's super easy to install to so that is a definite plus.Going from 1GB to 2GB is a huge improvement. I highly recommend it. I installed this ddr2 memory into my asus 1005ha, and what else can I say except, it does the job. 2gb is fine for Windows 7, and it basically allows you to have more windows and programs up at one time w/o getting that BSOD (blue screen of death) due to no memory. The amount of free memory on Windows 7, when nothing major is running and you are just on the desktop, varies between 900-1200mb (Again..This is plenty). How easy it is to install all depends on the type of computer you have, but most laptops just have a door on the underside of them that can be opened with a screw driver. It is like this on the 1005ha. As for speed, memory really doesn't have that much to do with speed (memory = storage) unless it begins to run low. With battery life, I really don't think it effects the battery much at all. Therefore, if you want to feel safe with Windows 7 on your EeePC netbook, go ahead and update to 2gb. Otherwise, if you using XP, there is no need.

Installed in my Acer netbook Acer AO532h-2309 10.1-Inch Garnet Red Netbook - Up to 10 Hours of Battery Lifeeasily and did not have any issues at all (BIOS,booting etc). I put it in right away before I benchmarked my computer for comparison so I don't know how much it helped. Sorry!

Do NOT get this RAM for your Asus eee pc 1001P. It works great at first. Then the computer doesn't shut off properly, drains out my battery.It is a great product for the price but make sure you get the right one. Now, if only someone could tell me which is the right one to get....

As established by the other reviews, Crucial memory just works. I got my memory for an ASUS Eee PC 1101HA-MU1X-BK 11.6-Inch Black Netbook - 11 Hour Battery Life. This computer normally runs at 1.33 Ghz, but has an overclocking option for when you want to heat your house with it. Based on what I had read before purchase, this ASUS was very picky about which expanded memory it would support in overclocked mode. As far as I can tell, the 1101HA appears to accept this memory in overclocked mode. Since I am quite happy with 1.33 Ghz, the only time I used overclocked mode is to see if overclocked mode works.
