I purchased this module for my Acer Aspire One A532h because of the many reviews here that said they didn't have a problem with it, and a lot of other brand netbooks didn't have a problem with it either. And neither did I. I popped it in and it was recognized right away with no problems at all.

I needed a blow torch and and a pair of pliars to get this little chip out of it's "frustration free" package, but only about a minute to pop it into my netbook. No problems, my computer recognized it immediately

I purchased this a few days ago and received it today. Amazon came through with extremely fast shipping as always. It took a total of about 5 minutes to install. Note for ASUS 1005HA users: after doing the physical install hit F2 while booting to enter BIOS, verify that installed memory reads correct (2048MB) then hit F10 and enter to OK. That is all it takes. Verify in windows after install by right clicking on My Compter and checking installed memory. Simply stuff. ***I chose this from between this and an 800 MHz. The DIMM pulled out of the 1005HA was an 800 MHz so I guess use your best judgement. Not sure what the limiting speed of the motherboard is.I am writing this after running multiple programs at once to test the performance. I can already tell while running Office 2007 with multiple applications open it is running quicker and running smoother. Boot seemed about the same but was already very quick. I will appreciate it most when working with loaded PowerPoints on the road for work. This is a very cheap upgrade to an already great netbook.

This product was very, very simple for a non-techie to install. I followed a two-minute UTube video on how to install memory in a MAC. I then did the installation very quickly and easily. Everything was perfect!

Bought this from the same vendor as a new Toshiba laptop computer - it was listed as a joint offer. It doesn't fit, not even the right configuration! Why would they sell the wrong RAM chip with a computer?

I bought this memory to upgrade my EeePC 1001P and it created nothing but troubles. Chronologicall, this is what happened:1. Started to freeze during the shut down process.2. The screen started to jumble, especially when I went from battery mode to AC mode.3. Computer was not any faster than the original 1GB, if not slower.4. Finally wouldn't even start. Called the Asus tech support, did BIOS default start and I changed back to the original 1GB RAM. It's been working fine since.5. In the process of returning this RAM.So hope this helps and saves trouble of other 1001P owners experiencing the same problem. I read somewhere on a blog that another person with 1001P experienced similar problems as I did after he upgraded to 2GB.

My Samsung N150 netbook is a great little unit, especially since I doubled the RAM with this memory ugrade from Crucial Technologies. It is ridiculous that these netbooks don't ship with 2GB of RAM, but at least Crucial and Amazon offered this upgrade for a fairly reasonable price ($41). Installation is quick (less than a minute) and easy.

Bought this RAM to improve the speed on the little netbook, this it does help. The little Aspire One with the more RAM is no great big improvement though. The 1.6Ghz Atom processor and the 8Mb dynamic video is still just a little to weak to run some games or apps smoothly or at all(this is with very few processes running as well, removed a lot of the pre-installed stuff that came with the netbook). This is of course no fault to the Crucial RAM. I am happy with the purchase even though it may sound like I am not, I knew before buying the RAM the One was not a "GAMING" computer and not to expect it to become a "GAMING" computer JUST by adding more RAM.Installation is a snap, about 1 or 2 minutes and your done, takes longer getting the screw driver to remove the RAM compartment cover and opening the packaging the RAM came in.

I have no problem with this part, but it was recommended by Amazon with the US version of the EEE PC MT101. The US version of the EEE PC MT101 has a cheaper motherboard and only accepts a 1GB part in the memory expansion. This was a reasonable mistake on Amazon's part because users and (presumably) Amazon believed this to be similar to the far superior European version.This part will work fine for any netbook which can accept a 2GB DDR2 200-pin SODIMM laptop-format memory.

I ordered this from Amazon because it was cheaper than on Crucial's site plus I used free shipping and save some more money. I used Crucial's site though to download their program which reads your computer and tells you exactly what you have now and what is compatible with your computer. (By the way for those who complained that they thought they were getting one card of two gig, there it clearly says that it is two separate gig not one card)I then thought I had an issue because the computer was beeping and wouldn't turn on until I removed the old half gig of memory and just had the two new gig. I was about to rate this less than five star and decided to call Crucial first. Their technical support was very knowledgeable, nice and helpful. This, even though I told them that I bought it from Amazon rather than straight from them. The solution worked as he said it should.I wish all customer and tec support would go so smoothly.

I have always went with Crucial Tech for my RAM upgrades and they have never failed me yet.I found this SODIMM application for my HP Mini 110 netbook (Mini 110-1116NR). Amazon's $48.99 price was a nice bonus also!Replaced the OEM installed 1GB SODIMM with this 2GB SODIMM in less than 5 minutes including restarting and checking that the full 2GB registered in the Control Panel. Everything worked perfectly and now I have some increased speed in my netbook to boot.

I bought this to upgrade my new Asus EeePC 1005HA. I have never worked on computers before, but was able to install this in less than 5 minutes; at least 3 minutes was spent searching for a small enough screwdriver to open the back of my netbook. I did have to go to the BIOS screen to get the netbook to recognize it, but no problems. Definitely worth the 50 for the extra 1gb!

Purchasing 2Gb for my net-book using Windows 7 starter needed more research on my behalf. Windows 7 starter doesn't support more than 1 Gb RAM. I have since upgraded the O/S and now it is recognized and working perfectly. All in all, an expensive venture.

I love my Acer netbook but it seemed a bit slow with only 1g of ram, so I decided to upgrade. Taking out the old module and putting in the new one took a minute and the computer booting instantly and picked up the new memory.It had helped quite a bit and the change is well worth it. Can't go wrong!

I purchased this memory for a friends Gateway P-6822 laptop. It had 1GB running on Windows Vista. Got rid of Vista for Windows 7 and swapped the memory for the Crucial 2GB. The machine runs much faster now. I've had very good luck with Crucial memory in the past and this lived up to the expectations.

I bought this memory chip to upgrade my newly purchased Asus EeePC network. I have a 1005PE, not 100HA, so when I first installed it, the computer didn't recognize the 2gb memory upgrade. Finally, I found it on the web that you have to hit F2 when the machine starts up to get into the Boot menu and disable booster. Once the machine recognizes the RAM upgrade, then enable booster back on. Other than that, install was easy and it works great.

I used this memory for the Samsung N140 Netbook, which doubled it's DRAM from 1GB to 2GB.I installed the 2GB in the N140, swapping for the 1GB that was already there. (Not sure what we do with the old 1GB now). It was very easy to do, you just open a compartment with a screwdriver, pull out the old memory and pop in the new memory.My notes on performance before and after:* Boot-up. With 1GB, it took 44.6 seconds. With 2GB, only 33.2 seconds. Before the upgrade, the machine was using 61% of the memory just sitting there running no applications, and only 33% after installing the extra memory.* Shut-down. 1GB: 30.0 seconds. 2GB: 16.4 seconds.* Open Word document. 1GB: 14.9 seconds. 2GB: 11.7 seconds. Again, memory usage was 61% before upgrade, afterward only 35%.* Open Control Panel: 1GB: 4.5 seconds. 2GB: 2.5 seconds. This is good because the N140 seemed very "laggy" beforeYou'll have to see how much improvement you see in speed as you use it, but on the basics, it looks like it is indeed almost twice as fast. Well worth the price, it gave me much snappier performance on my netbook.

I have an iMac G5 intel core duo 2 which originally came with tiger and needed this to upgrade straight to Snow Leopard. It is just the right memory that i needed, no shipping errors, a little late but once i got it it worked straight out of the package, no problems =)

Purchased the Asus Aspire One netbook at target (special $200) last week. Immediately ordered the 2 gb ram. Received within 4 days, unscrewed one screw on the bottom of the netbook popped out old 1gb and replaced with this 2gb. Immediately recognized the ram on startup. Install <5 mins. Great upgrade for an extremely cheap netbook.

I bought this memory for the Acer Aspire 5100 but is not working. I installed it, but not working at all. I can't make it work though. What am I doing wrong? Is this the wrong RAM memory I bought ?

Upgrading our laptops with Crucial "1gb PC2 5300 DDR2 RAM" modules have made them run much better. We replaced our two 1/2gb (for 1gb total) with two 1gb modules (for 2gb total) in our Acer Aspire 5315-2826 15.4-inch Laptop (2.13 GHz Intel Celeron M Processor, 1 GB RAM, 80 GB Hard Drive, Vista Home).The upgrade was easy to install and the performance improvement has made a world of difference when using MS Office products!My last three memory upgrades have been from Crucial and we have never had any problems.Highly recommended!*** UPDATE 7/30/2009 *** It seems Amazon is showing the same reviews for the 1GB modules as well as the 2GB module set. We ordered the 2GB Module Set as well and here is my review for that one as well:The "Crucial 2GB Set" (two 1GB modules) might just have saved my marriage since my wife's laptop (Acer Aspire 4720Z) had become so slow that it was almost unusable. For some reason this became my "fault" and she threatened me with all sorts of bad things if I didn't get it working better. After doing some system checks and general optimization, with marginal improvement, I was about ready to just get her a new laptop but decided to take a chance and go the inexpensive route of adding more memory.To ensure compatibility, I used the memory finder on Crucial's web site and then came to Amazon to make the purchase (saving a good bit in the process). The modules arrived quickly and were very easy to install. The performance improvement was significant and now I am in my wife's good graces again.On a serious note, this is now the fifth Crucial memory upgrade I have bought for various laptops and desktops and I have never had any problems with installation or performance of their memory modules.Highly Recommended!
