I purchased two sticks of memory for my Dell Inspiron 1545 so I could install 64 bit Windows 7 OS. It had a different part number than the memory crucial recomended on there web site but all the specs were the same. It's working great and its a bit cheaper than the manufacturers web site.

I bought a Toshiba netbook 3 or 4 months ago, with the usual 1 GB RAM memory. As you may imagine, it worked slowly...After reading other reviews I decided to upgrade the RAM (highly recommended !)I changed the original memory to this 2 Gb Crucial one in just 3 minutes. No problems of compatibility, the netbook just took it as the native one at the first attempt. Then, the speed of my neetbook improved significantly...It's been almost two months using it daily and it worked fine so far.

It does what it was expected to do, make my computer faster. I have a Mini Toshiba Netbook, I upgraded it from 1gb to 2gb with this memory. It works so much faster now. Speedy delivery, great product!

I bought a new 13.3in MacBook Pro all alumininum type with the defaulted memory configuration of 2GB. I've bought Crucial DIMMs for my other notebook before and they worked very well so I decided to buy the same Crucial brand (but different type) for my MacBook. I went to the Crucial Web site and found out the right type of memories and checking the MacBook manual also showed PC3-8500 was the right DIMMs. I purchased 4GB of PC3-8500 and the price was very good at Amazon (coupling with the free shipping) so I saved about %35 versus what I could have paid when buying the MacBook with 4GB. Installation was about 10 minutes with most of the time spent trying to open the very tiny screws carefully on the back of the MacBook. My challenge was handling the very tiny screws with my tiny-but-not-so-good screwdriver rather than replacing the DIMMs. I suggest setting the MacBook on a flat surface on top of a towel or something soft so you will not scratch the front of the Macbook. After installation, the MacBook boosted and recognized the 4GB memories right away and everything worked smoothly. No noticeable increase in performance but definitely it will help when running multiple programs at the same time using OS X or Windows XP. I recommend Crucial memories due to their good quality and good Web site showing which type of memories your computer needs. Also kudos to Amazon for offering such a good price (one of the lowest PC3-8500 DIMMs I found). The plus of doing this yourself was saving the built-in 2GB DIMMs which you may use in other computer or give them to friends. Replacing memories is pretty simple and I think anyone can do. Just make sure you have good screwdriver and need to remember exactly the locations of the 8 screws since they are not identical (3 screws at the top are longer than the rest)

Definitely worth the buy for every little penny invested into it and I have put a lot of research before I bought these RAM cards, I put the RAM cards on my HP Pavilion m7463w PC to fill it up from 2GB XP Media Center PC (factory model) then upgraded to Windows 7 then went 4GB to fully take advantage of the Aero effects which I loved. I'd used to turn them off Areo, because my PC needed the performance on my everyday multi-tasking stuff (IM'ing, Web-surfing, Game playing, music and sometimes all at the same time, lol). I noticed that as soon as I turned on the PC, programs and applications start almost immediate as soon as it opens. Worth every penny and I am not disappointed, not even a bit. You are getting the one of the best memory manufacturers in the market. 5 Stars! =DEDIT: Owned these RAM cards for like over a month and I just love them!

...easy install but on first boot wouldn't recognize the additional ram.Rebooted pressing f2 to enter set up, tabbed over and disabled "boot booster", allowed to boot...recognizes the ram now..reboot again pressing f2 and then enable "boot booser"...worked like a charm.Thanks to other reviewers for posting the help. Great little boost of speed for the Eee pc from Asus.

Product came quickly, in-tact, and as-advertised. Price was good but local stores now dropping prices...shop around. For those with netbooks, this is a VITAL upgrade since your system software, add-ons, and antivirus software will be consuming more memory after a couple months. This memory has a higher clock speed than my netbook utilizes and I have had no problems, but no apparent benefit, either.

Received this item quick, was packaged well.Speed improvement in both OS X Snow Leopard and Windows 7 Ultimate. Great RAM for half the price of the Apple RAM. Highly recommend it.

Crucial Ram Pins and Holding Cut Little bit different from Samsung's which is default Dell's Installed Ram. So Have to Push Ram little Bit hard to fit in sockets. Bios and Window 7 auto detected new installed ram in a minute with few user input stroke. I am using Dell Vostro 1400 and Its support upto 800 Mhz RAM but this New RAM working on 667MHZ. I dont know what's wrong or manual setting have to done to get 100% speed.

Installed in less than 5 minutes in my macbook. Recognized right away, macbook runs super fast now. Better than new! Would definetly recomend this memory for macbook. Great price, cheaper than Crucial website.

I got this chip for my EEE PC 1000. It was originally a Linux model, but I installed an OEM copy of XP. The installation was about as smooth as it gets, and there wasn't any compatibility issues. Oddly though, the upgrade did trigger that product activation nonsense.The real question is, "Did it really make my computer faster or better?" To be honest, I really haven't noticed that much of a change. I just feel better knowing that it's got the full 2GB for when it needs it.

I do not know why it took me so long to increase the speed on my Dell five-year old laptop. Even though I was ok with its 1 GB speed, I knew it would be faster with 2 GB. To find out how to install the chips, I first went to Youtube videos to get that info, it was very clear, concise and well explained. I then made sure I ordered the correct chips for my laptop, and I received the 2 chips (2 x 1GB each)a few days later. At first, the new chips did not work, until I realized I had not installed the chips firmly in their slots; I reset them again tightly this time, replaced the battery, turned on the laptop and it now works wonders.

Bought this as an upgrade for my eM350 Netbook and it really did wake it up. I also installed Windows 7 Professional on this netbook and there are no compatibility issues. It works great and was shipped rather quickly.

I bought one of the new HP Mini 210 netbooks (HP Mini 210-1080NR 10.1-Inch Blue Netbook - 9.75 Hours of Battery Life). This RAM upgrade was one of the recommendations from Amazon (Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought...). Rather than researching the recommendation to make sure that the 2GB module really would work inside the HP Mini 210, I just bought the memory module, figuring if it didn't work, I could just return it back to Amazon.Turns out, this 2GB module works just fine inside my HP Mini 210 netbook. No troubles at all removing the old, 1GB module and replacing it with this 2GB module. After installation, Windows immediately recognized the full 2GB of RAM, and I got a noticeable performance bump (boot-up time to the Windows login screen went from 45-50 seconds to 35-40 seconds).Not sure how to do the RAM upgrade on your Mini 210? Do a Google search on "how to upgrade RAM hp mini 210" to see a great video on the details of that.Recommended!

The name in the review about says it all. Everything I've read about the Acer Aspire One netbook indicated that the memory upgrade can be a little quirky. I ordered this dimm from Amazon due to the other reviews and price/shipping. I popped the chip in and it booted up first time without a hitch. It's been about a month and no problems.

When buying memory, I learned along time ago; just get the good one! Crucial has never let me down. Pop it into your netbook or laptop -Bottom line, it registers and works! No need to mess with bios, no fuss! Just the way its supposed to work :) I am using it in a MSI Wind 12 u230 Light maxed out at 4gb.Pros:AffordableWorks great!Cons:None

Not much to say about this product. It's the correct ram for my Toshiba Satellite laptop and it runs fine. The price was one of the lowest that I could find. The package was shipped promptly and arrived via UPS within five business days.

It boosts up your netbook to an incredibly fast speed, more so than a conventional computer, but it kills the battery life none other. I get 4 hrs of battery life instead of 7 now.

The 2GB package upgrade for my Mac mini Core 2 2.0GHz is amazing. I used to see the beachball of colors a lot. Now, it is very fast.I like the retail package also. Give me more confidence the memory is new.
