This kit is priced way too high. If you shop around you can find other NIMH battery chargers for a lower price and the batteries that are included often have a higher mAH rating. Some of the chargers even have a quick charge mode so you don't have to wait overnight for them to charge.

There are also camera cases for specific model cameras that should fit those camera much better. The case for the Canon PowerShot A400/A410 is (at the time of this review) priced on Amazon at just under $6. It fits my PowerShot A410 camera perfectly and is well worth the price.

I'm so happy to get it. Just have time to go over all the manual and then everythig is so easy. I agree with all pros above. I don't see any cons for noisy shutter or zooming power. It's perfect for point and shoot people. You can adjust volumn or change style of camara sound as u wish. Modes of shooting are enouhg for all scenearios. The vedio mode is so easy and just hook to TV and have fun to see it with clear sound and sharp photo. Yu need at least 256 MB SD to be happy with pictures and short videoss. Loading to window XP is so fast, just hook it and do as software tell u. The price is so cost-effective with all these great features. (454$) Better buy it before it is up!

the cannon a620 is my first camera. I took it with me to seattle and got some great shots of the city. It's a little slow taking action shots. The picture quality is great,it's easy to use. I am happy with it.

After many weeks of looking for a great digital camera, I finally found the perfect one! This is an awesome camera with many great features. It zooms up to 16x - With a very clear picture. The pictures are as clear as those $1.000.00 cameras. (I know because some of my family members have one)

Anyway, if you are looking for a great digital camera, this is definitely the one to buy! Also, I did not know this when I bought it, but after reading the manual I found out that you can change/add lenses to the camera! It comes with a memory card that holds only about 5 pictures, so you need to buy an extra memory card when you make your purchase.

With all of its features, the Canon Powershot S80, is amazing. I'm surprised its is not huge or at least bigger than its previous version, the Canon Powershot S70. But in Fact is is 8% smaller. And, with its sleek design and low cost everyone should own one. Also, the accessories for this camera are great!!! I especially love the underwater camera case. Yes, the S80 is an underwater camera. Also with 8.0 mega pixels (8 million pixels)and 21 different shooting modes this camera is not to be missed!! Oh yeah, I forgot it takes amazing video. Some more things I love about this camera are the 2.5 inch LCD screen and its easy to use dial.

This is my very first digital camera and I've only had it for about 1 month. Things I like about it so far: It seems to be VERY fast. It takes really good quality pictures. Macro function works very well. It's fairly comfortable to hold. All things considered, it's RELATIVELY user-friendly. The negatives are: It's somewhat heavy for a small camera. Parts of it seem very "flimsey" such as the door that covers the lens when not in use. The "red eye reduction" function really doesn't work very well from the results I've seen so far (athough perhaps there is a way to make it function better and I haven't figured it out yet).

I bought this camera to replace my digital Olympus C-4000. So far I have not been disappointed. The camera has a lot of features for the price, with aperture priority, shutter priority, and a full manual mode, it gives you more control than most point and shoot models. It also has a 4x optical zoom based on the lens in the Powershot G6, and the macro mode can focus down to 0.4 inches. It is great that the camera runs on AA batteries, and has excellent battery life. Photo quality has been terrific, with sharp, colorful pictures. The only drawbacks are a noisy zoom, some hard to push buttons, and more red-eye than I had with my Olympus. The camera is not ultra light and compact but does have a nice grip and solid construction.

I own a Canon Digital Rebel XT, But I always don't want to carry that around everywhere I go. So I decided to buy the Canon A620. After using the Digital Rebel, I new I would be pleased with the other lines of Canon Cameras. This Camera is 7 Mega Pixels and Fits in your Pocket. The Flip out Screen is Great, and you can close it up so it doesn't get scratched when not in use.

For Pro Photographers who want a pocket cam, this is the one. I will not look at another camera for a long while, besides my Digital Rebel XT.

I really love this camera however I have one question for other reviewers: The terminal cover seems to be made out of hard plastic; however the integrated hinge seems forced to "flex" when I open the cover. I'm concerned the hinge will break. Perhaps the hinge is made out of a different material that is made to flex? Has anyone else experienced this?

This is not a negative review at all, just a question. I am 110% satisfied with this camera.

Hi lucky owners. I am about to purchase Canon S80 but I need to know one (for me) key paremeter: How are you satisfied with digital zoom in video mode? This is the feature for I want to buy this camera but in Steve's preview is writen:

"One note of caution; the S80 has separate menu options for digital zoom in still and movie recording modes; be sure to disable digital zoom in movie mode to avoid degrading moving image quality."

Is it realy so bad? Can anyone send me some zoomed video. Thx.

Ever since i bought this camera the features and amazing clear pictures continue to amaze me. It does everything one would want a camera to do and then some.

The camera is great - no complaints there, but the purchase included a promotion of a free 512 memory card WHICH I did not receive. Too bad for the false advertising.

The Canon PowerShot S80 is an outstanding camera that fits in a shirt pocket. A take anywhere camera with photographic results that rival a digital SLR. The 28mm to 90mm zoom handles most situations and the 8 megapixel resolution is outstanding. The large (2")LCD is a pleasure to use. There are really no negatives with the S80. The key to photography is to have the

camera with you and the compact design of this serious camera let you take it anywhere.

Batteries hold charge for a long time and the recharging is simple and fast. Outstanding portability.

Haven't bought camera yet, but have decided to do so - primarily to copy my analog slides onto digital.

HOWEVER, can someone set me straight about audio/video capabilities of the A620? One reviewer says it yields 60 seconds at 30 fps. Period! Another says, "With an adequate memory, you can take unlimited video."

For the few who use audio/video on the A620, please clarify these conflicting assertions. ([...])

Ordered this camera just a few days before xmas and recieved it a day ahead of time w/ Amazon Prime.

The S80 construction is top quality; picture quality is great (note, however, that I'm more of a point-n-shoot, casual photographer); and operation is pretty intuitive.

It is a bit "pricey" but it was worth the investment for me.

After seeing the fabulous reviews here on Amazon, I ordered this camera. It arrived with an "E18" error. Never even got to take a single shot! Caveat Emptor.

Haven't actually purchased this camera, but was thinking about it... most reviews pretty impressive, as are the camera's features. From the research I have done, I hear there is a "kids & dogs" mode that is supposed to take fast pictures. Try that.

This "kit" is not worth its current price.

It's not much of a kit to begin with; it's only 2 items.

First off, you should skip the overpriced canon batteries and charger altogether. Canon doesn't have a patent on NiMH batteries. Older Canon manuals seemed to indicate that you have to use Canon rechargeables, but that's simply not true. While NiMH batteries are a definite must for battery hungry digital cameras, there are better options out there which are completely compatible with your camera.

For half the price of this kit you can get a charger and batteries that charge in as little as 15 minutes, and have a higher mAh rating. I'd recommend the Energizer 15 minute kit.

The canon case is quality, and an excellent choice for your camera. A case is not something you should cheap out on: it is an absolute necessity.

However, when this case is available separately for less than ten dollars (currently $6.39!) on amazon, you should really just buy it separately and choose a better charger.

This charger is very costly. Buy the sony or the sanyo on with the better mAH. Better to avoid canon one.

I've had this camera for a couple of days now and it is great. It is very fast and takes sharp pictures. The only thing that I'm concerned about is the high level of audio noise when capturing video. I'm not sure if this is normal or whether I've got a faulty camera. Otherwise, it is a great successor to my old trusty Kodak.

This is my third Canon digital and it is the best. Video is excellent and photo quality is great. The access door on the download cable is poor quality. I had trouble with the lens cover malfunctioning after 30 days and had to send it in for warranty.

I use this for my Powershot A510 and it works well. The battery charger is nice and compact, except it only charges AA batteries, but that's okay for me since I only use it for my digital camera.
