This well-designed case allows you access to almost all the functions of the camera---zoom, video, auto and manual settings. The camera is able to take superb pictures even with overcast skies. We lubricate the gasket, as recommended, each time, and have had no leaks. The picture quality possible with a good camera like the powershot S80 and a waterproof case so far exceeds that of disposable underwater cameras (I usually manage one decent shot/camera) that there is no comparison. Since you can take as many photos and videos as you want, and see them immediately on the monitor, you know whether you got the shot you wanted. We took some neat photos half above the water and half below. A flash diffuser spreads light from the flash, so that you get even light when you shoot that lobster hiding under the rock.

I just received this items yesterday and LOVE it! I was able to figure out the basics without reading the manual, which is great.

I'm writing this review to clarify one point. Amazon states that this camera has a setting for underwater photos with an optional waterproof case. That is NOT true. The underwater feature is on the A540 only.

I did not buy the camera for this feature, so it's no skin off my nose. But for others, it may be a big deal!

Very happy with this product. For this price it is hard to find a 4X optical and 7.1Megas Pix. It is very easy to use. The outcome is great. Easy to shoot videos. Highly recommend it.

The camera itself is great but the exchange I had to deal with wtih Adorama was beyond bizarre. After the shutter broke I had to send it back to the company and they told me that I;d not have to pay shipping again but then charged me for it. I'm still sorting out the details.

Message for the person with the defective lens cover:

I don't have this camera, but I did read on some other customer review site that some digital cameras come with AA batteries that aren't fully charged, and the camera has enough power to turn on, but not enough to properly open the lens cover and whatnot.

So maybe you should try some brand new batteries that you know for sure are in a good state.

Personally, I'm a big fan of Canon digital cameras. I've had an S400 for about three years, and I love it.

This camera takes really good pictures and has several features. There are so many setting that make it easy to take shots. I only wish it was a little smaller. I really like the pop out screen and it also will shut itself down when you haven't used it a long time to save battery power. Still finding new things that it does. I would recommend this camera.

I did research on digital cameras for one that was easy to use and took great pictures. This camera does all that and more! It was a decent price and the pictures that I have taken so far are fantastic!!!

Canon has never let me down (after owning three already). I love this camera. So simple to use. Take it out of the box and start shooting. I had to adjust the pixelation as I used out of the box (no extra memory) and because of the outstanding quality from higher pixelation I ran out of memory. That's my only suggestion. Otherwise sit back, smile really big, and say "Cheese".

Por the price it's a good item, it has 5 megapixels and 4 optical zoom, aditionally use sd card. Good Flash and you can add a aditional one: HD-FC1. Only we can't add aditional lenses. A540 do, but is more expensive (60$ aprox).

Great price and takes very nice pictures. Lots of features that I will never use, but nice to know they are there. It's a little clunky at times, but the great pictures more than make up for it.

First impressions after one week's use.
I can't fault the camera as far as it being an image making machine - it does the job fantastically. The immages are bright and clear - both in the viewfinder and the very nice LCD screen.
Of the very few pictures I've taken with this camera, I've found them to be truly remarkable, even when enlarged on my Epson Stylus Photo R300 printer to A4 size. So far, the only things that let the camera down, are the two plastic 'doors' on the USB cable port and the battery compartment.
They've got to be a joke!!! You will truly find much better quality 'doors' on cameras costing £5 or less!!
The USB 'door' keeps popping open and flexes like it was made from tissue paper - hardly something you'd expect from a lead brand camera such as a Canon.
Still, it does take damn good pictures though!

This is another quality product from Canon. For the price and quality, you would be hard pressed to find any other camera to beat this one. Images are very decent and menus are user friendly. I would have been happier if it was lighter but then you cannot get everything. I have no hesitation in advertising this model.

I'm impressed with the quality of the image that this camera can give. It's excellent. I compared it with the photos of other cameras, images taked in the same place, in the same hour and the difference is notable.

Then I printed some of the photos and the bright of the colors and the sharpness of the image is amazing.

I really recommend it.

The Powershot 620 is a great camera... Lots of range, multi-adjustable viewing screen. It has so many shooting options that I don't think I will ever outgrow this camera. If you are thinking about purchasing one, definitely get a larger memory card-- the one that comes with it only holds 15-20 pics at a reduced size.

I found this camera very easy to use right out of the box using the beginners setup guide that comes with the camera. It's been a great point and shoot camera and maybe someday when I have time, I'll explore the rest of the options.

This camera is a little gem. With its high resolution and a myriad of options, it just produces great pictures easily. I love it and I haven't even purchased any lense attachments yet.

They made a mistake with the price.

We have a small photo business at the beach and needed a small point and shoot camera to always have at hand. The A620 is used to back up our older G5 and the new Rebel XT. It is easy and quick to operate and yeilds a high quality image. Overall, a great, easy to operate little camera for the money.

I purchased this camera to replace my last camera that had gotten damaged. For the money this camera is a good deal. It takes very good pictures and I would reccommend it to anyone on a budget. If you can afford to spend more, I would buy the SONY.

is that you can't make the aperture smaller than F8. I had no idea that this was the case before I bought it : no reviews I've seen mention this . It does bother me , particularly when using the longest focal length because I can't increase the depth of field to what I'd like it to be .

It hasn't been enough to make me return the camera though. I agree with people who have commented on the incredibly flimsy cover for the usb lead ; this can be overcome by using a card reader .

It's worth the money but it certainly isn't as good as an SLR.

I have got 5 cams and this one is the worst I have ever got. Its canon...its supposed to be good but I will not recommend this cam to anyone. Pay 50-60 bucks more and get a beter one...

Good product quality, ease to use and I am very satisfied with it performance and quality. I would recommend this camera for someone whos looking for a good digital camera that is reasonably cheap and takes awesome pictures.
