I KNOW I HAVE ONLY HAD THIS CAMERA ONE MONTH BUT I LOVE IT. THE PICTURES ARE BEYON BUEATIFUL AND CLEAR. THANK YOU FOR EVERYONES HONESTY REVEIWING THIS CAMERA. THEY WERE RIGHT!

This little gem takes great images as soon as you pull it out of the box and insert the battery and memmory card. This was a gift for our daughters 16th birthday, and she loves it.

By the specifications and my previous experience with Canon cameras, I assume that this camera is a great deal for the 180 dollars I spent for it. Therefore I'm giving the camera 3 stars instead of one - even though I need to replace it.

Unfortunately, when I opened up the box and stuck the batteries in and powered it up, the lens cover only partially opened when the lens extended and then only closed partially when the camera was turned off.

I'm getting it replaced now and will happily update my review when I can.

it's more then 2 months i have been using this camera,and it is perfect..if i have the chance to go back to the time i bought this camera , i would buy the same

well designed and easy to use advanced point and shoot camera. I am very happy with the product but I am a long time photo buff. May be a bit much for those just begaining in the hobby or those that just want something to carry in their purse in case they see a rock star.

Excellent camera for the money. I use only the minimum of this camera's functions and it produces wonderful pictures.

THIS ITEM WAS DELAYED IN SHIPPING AND WHEN IT FINALLY ARRIVED THE BOX HAD CORRECT PART NUMBER ON IT, YET, ACTUAL PART ENCLOSED HAD A DIFFERENT PART # / WAS NOT THE ITEM WE ORDERED, THUS, NOT COMPATIBLE W/ OUR MODEL CAMERA. SO WE CANNOT REVIEW OR RATE.

The enclosure has a solid feel to it. I dove with it three times with no problem at all. It would be nice if the weight does not cost extra.

The only compliant I have is that the enclosure is a tight fit, so it is very difficult to fit a desiccant into the enclosure.

Camera is everything and more than I expected. It has more capabilities than I will probably use. The basic photography is simple and captures excellent images. Compared to previous digital cameras I have used, the batteries last much longer than I expected.

This is a great product at a great price, I had priced cameras several places but this was the best price. Delivery was very fast!!

Bought this to add to my D60 and 20D. What a great surprise this turned out to be. Focuses quickly. Jpegs are very good out of the box and will stand tweaking. ISO 50/100 have almost no noise. Colour is accurate. Exposure is very good. Fringing problems are minimal. CA is almost non exitent.
Wish it had RAW for that extra IQ and more image control (sharpening etc). But for this price it does an excellent job.
I checked the competition (Fuji F11, Sony P200 etc) and concluded the A620 came out tops. Indeed, it's IQ equals the S80 swapping 28-100 wide for 35-140 long and 35 is wide enough for most situations. Also, the 35 has none of the 28 edge/corner softness.

I was disappointed that this camera developed a serious fault with the viewer only 3 months into its use.Further disappointment when told by the appointed Canon repairers at Colchester Camera Repairs that it would be 3 weeks before it could be looked at.Short English summers are bad enough ,but no camera to capture it is worse.!Buy a A620 at your peril.

Everything works with my camera just like it said it would. Only negative was that the secondary vendor also sent me someone elses order, and although I emailed them several times and call once I could never get a response as to what to do with the extra item.

The batteries just never dies. Quality of picture is more than what I have expected. I have had other digital cameras before but this one is the best one I have used. I'm planning to buy 2 more for some friends !

This is a great little camera. I may be easy to please (coming off a 1.3 pixel Vivitar) but this camera is fast and takes superb pictures. And the batteries have yet to go dead. I did a lot of research before chosing this camera and, in my opinion, it really paid off.

This is my second Canon Powershot. It is a camera for those of us who like auto focus or changing settings and lens. Pictures are great and easy to download on computer and file.

Lots of options for taking great digital photos. Much easier to use than the Olympus Camedia it replaced. The software that accompanies the camera is very handy also.

This camera has delivered everything promised and more! Relatively simple to use and produces great shots. I researched several cameras and decided on this one. It's one of the best decisions I've ever made! Great value and great price -- hard to beat!

I agree with what others here are saying, but feel as if I may have to return my camera because the hotspot caused by a flash that cannot "throttle" down on its own, is bothersome. Very bothersome. I may put a piece of frosted tape or plastic in front of the lens to help, but I certainly should not have to do this.

This is a good camera. It has red eye correction. Portrait and landscape modes are there which are good for photography. It is a bit bulky camera since it requires 4 AA batteries. Easy software installations. Easy to save the photos on computer.

Versatile, amazing performance and high quality. One of the most professionals digital cameras around.

This is a superb little camera. Excellent pictures, great feature set, fast performance - couldn't ask for more. I bought the camera to replace an "antique" digital camera that simply could not keep up with the grandkids - and caused me to go back to film - until I bought the A620. This Canon is fast to start up, almost no noticable shutter lag, and takes perfectly exposed pictures. The auto focus is fast - even in low light. Macro and "My Colors" are great features. Also,I can customize exposures, focus points, etc., about any way I choose. Excellent value for the money. I'd definately recommend this camera. Did I mention - Great Pictures?!

The PowerShot A530 is an awesome digital camera. Others can give you the detailed specs, but what's most impressive to me is its ease of use, small size and weight, and ability to zoom. Overall, a good value for the cost.

I am a novice when it comes to cameras. This is only my second digital camera and I am very pleased with it . It has deliverd great photos. It is user friendly, so far, as I have not read the entire book. Would recommend it to all.!
