I bought this camera based on glowing reviews by other owners. I don't agree. This camera is cute. It has a really nice screen and controls. The fact that it has a wide-angle lens was a big plus for me as a realtor. However, the picture quality stinks. I have to spend forever with Photoshop to try to get the photos to be acceptable. In the end, my little cheap Minolta Dimage X that I've had for years, takes MUCH better pictures. Sadly, I found out too late.

I am using this camera for the last 18 months.It was taking good photos,but the problem came last week.It developed ccd sensor problem.There was no image on the Lcd screen.Contacted cannon support, who gave the contact details of canon repair centre.I contacted them and they gave an estimate of 80pounds + VAT for repair as it is out of warranty.Not happy at all.

I particular enjoy the underwater mode that filter out the blue. Of course it has to be used with a waterproof housing.

Basically what everyone else has said - great quality and clarity, fairly compact, the ability to have wide angle lenses, etc. One complaint I do have, however is that the screen is quite low-res and appears pixelated. Not a major issue. Overall a great camera

I bought this product after my previous camera broke. I love Canon and would continue to buy it after this one dies on me. (what can I say, I take my camera everywhere, it goes through a lot)

Google "Canon" and "e18" before you buy this camera! They have a mnajor flaw in the lens mechanism of all their cameras.

This camera has everything point and shoot type need and quality is excellent..features are easy ..reading manual is not needed, u can carry it in ur pocket....money v.v.v.v well spend

I love this camera!!!! The most unique feature is the swivel out LCD screen. It allows you to get different vantage points. For instance, recently I went to a presidential campaign party and was able to take pictures of the candidates above everyone's head by simply holding the camera up high and tilting the swivel display downward so I could see what was going on. I also LOVE the panorama mode. The easiest that I've worked with on any camera and the photostitch software to piece the photos together is almost seamless! Plus, with a really large storage card (like the 1gb I have) you can take what seems like hours of video.

The picture sometimes turn out blurry. The auto fucus is not the greatest.

I love to finally have 4x optical zoom, but the small LCD screen bothered me a bit more than I thought it would. Otherwise typical Canon quality - excellent!

Others have commented on all the great features of this camera, so I will just focus on one flaw I noted in recording videos.
There is often a slight whine in the sound recorded with videos on this camera. If there is a lot of background noise it isn't too noticable but in quiet settings it can be a bit distracting. The noise is not apparent when playing back on the camera but is noticable when you play the donwloaded video on a computer.
Other than that, it is a wonderful camera that I would highly recommend.

I bought this camera and used it for 2 weeks before having to return it. At times the flash took 10 seconds to cycle, this is unacceptable when trying to take pictures, for instance at a wedding or just trying to catch my child in action doing something silly. If the flash took half as long to cycle, I would consider it t be the best digital camera I have ever had.
