I have this camera for 6 weeks.Great right out of the box. No problems what so ever.For the price this camera takes amazing photos.I never had a digital camera before.After reading the instructions i started to take photos. Amazing is all I can say. Even on auto it takes great pics.I would recomend this camera highly. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

Nothing subjective here. The product either works(5)or it doesn't(1). This worked and the price was right(5).

Excellent choice for point and shoot digital photography. Shirt pocket size. Easy to operate. Software package is easy to install and use.

This is by far the most user friendly Camera that I have ever owned. I'n not a pro so I can honestly say that I won't ever need another camera. Thanks Canon !

This is a great camera for users that are just interested in taking everyday photos. It has many features, yet is easy to use.

Like other persons I did intensive reviews on all available forums, websites even speking with professional and 80 to 90% recommended the S80. The major cons suggested is the lack of a RAW format,but that is made up by the fact of the superfine JPEG format, my recomendation is to just spend the money and buy at least a 1GB SD card. Some suggested that it is too noisy at ISO400, but thats ok for me because proper camera management you can take excellent pictures at that ISO level.

If you are planning on taking it off auto-mode try buying some books that can assist you, but be patient it takes time to master, and play around like hell, that how you would learn to use the camera. I also recommend purchasing a tripod, so if you are not planning on going manual, I recommend the Canon's SD and A series.

I bought this just before Christmas for my husband and just one day later we are in a position to give the camera rave reviews.

1) the camera is extraordinarily easy to operate - it took the two of us about 5 minutes to cover all its basic functions - a nice thing when it's Christmas morning and one wants to get pictures of the nephews before they start getting too wild!

2) picture quality is amazing. I transferred the first dozen photos to my Mac's iPhoto application and the resolution, color integrity, balance, and focus were all stunning.

3) transfer takes about 10 seconds with the USB cable included in the kit.

4) we even tried a movie (of my mother demonstrating her hula hoop technique). Excellent quality and sound. I didn't get this for its movie functions, but it's nice to know the capability exists so we can capture those, well, rare moments of mom with a hula hoop.

5) the camera has a great feel - solid, heavy, and substantial in size - these might be cons to some, but since the last camera apparatus I lugged around regularly was a manual Nikon, portable tripod, telephoto lense, and various filters, anything less than 7 pounds is pretty darn small to me.

We haven't started playing with all the advanced features this camera offers, but have read about them online and are looking forward to many happy experiments.

This is second Canon I had in last 2 years. I like it very much. The big LCD is a plus. The manual controls gives me a feeling of SLR.

Everything we could have hoped for in ease of use, and yet sophisticated enough to do all the extras! Well worth it in value.

I am a novice to digital cams but I did research and the 620 seem to have the best reviews. In fact all the Canons had good reviews. Now I am adding my voice to the courus of praise for Canon. I am especially pleased with this 620 and its fine pictures. While I have a long way to go to learn all its features I can assure you that the auto mode is just great for those that want to point and shoot. Are there any flaws? Red eye reduction isn't working for me but that may be user error. The price is great though and I haven't seen a camera comparable that isn't at least $100.00 more. I highly recommend this camera.

I replaced my Canon A95 with the A630, and I have the worst case of redeye I have ever seen in a camera. The sharpness of the pictures is no different from the A95 nor is the quality of the images any better. I may go back to my A95.

Canon is a well known brand over the world. I have been using this camera for about 3 months now, and it is truly amazing. a great buy at a good price.

This camera is very easy to use and has many different options available. I would highly recommend this camera for anyone.

I am extremely impressed with all but one feature of this camera. When the image looks cropped perfectly on the back of the camera, the pictures often come back with the top of heads cut off, etc. The view finder is more accurate. I'm not sure why both can't present an accurate image, but it took me a month to get pictures that were as I had wanted.

This camera is great! The picture Quality is AMAZING, when i took a picture of a leaf with the macro mod and it came out looking like a professional photo!!! The compliant i have about it is "nothing" :D.

I've generally been happy with Canon products. The A620 is definitely an example with that.

The turn-on speed puts my cybershot to shame. The preview has great resolution and all the possible scene types are awesome. I use picasa so not sure how good the combined software is.

Complaints:

* 4 batteries are heavy!

* Bought it for mom and not sure she could fit it in her purse

* isn't it about time we have a tutorial come with a camera?

* Cybershot came with rechargable batteries that was nice

The close-up shots are simply great. The camera is easy to use and a good value for the money. Overall i love this camera.

Easy to use right out of the box. Good pictures. Good size. Used the batteries very quickly, though.

This camera has all the features the casual photographer needs. The cost and the fact that it doesn't 'eat' batteries makes it a great deal.

I bought this camera for my parents. It takes far better pictures than the camera I paid 3x as much for. It also is a lot less complicated.
