I was looking for a camera that I could used in a hurry. At my age I want to record vacation memories. I was not looking for a camera to take professional photos. I am very well pleased with the Canon Powershot A100. Though surprised at how small it is, its size was an asset, easily fitting into pockets and purse. The AA battery life was very good and 2 AA batteries are easy to find and carry as backup. It has a view finder as well as a digital screen, and the photos are wonderful.

I just got this camera. My powershot elph was stolen. This does not have the features. I wanted. I can't play with the exposures at all. Plus when I use the flash, I can't take one picture after another. It takes about 4 seconds to CHARGE THE FLASH. WHY? That's ridiculous. I want to return this camera simply for that reason.

Came on time but no USB cable came with it. I checked the FAQ and it said they came with the USB cord, but I did not get one.

I've owned 2 previous Canon Powershots, both Elph versions, and I loved them. My last one stopped working last summer so I purchased this camera based on the Amazon reviews. It takes FOREVER to get the shot because the minute you try to snap the shot, it says "flash charging". I miss the picture practically every time. While I do have a Nikon DSLR, which is hands down my favorite camera, it's not practical to carry around with me. I love having a point & shoot to just throw in my purse. I will definitely spend a little more $$ and do a little more research before buying my next one.

this camera was one of the easiest cameras on the pocketbook, however being a Canon, (which i have had as least four point-and-shoots), after testing it out for an hour or so, found it to be just as dependable as the other cameras. the feel is toy-like plastic but then again, it does keep the price down. it's the brains and heart of the camera i like. and the final output when i can print my photos online or onto photographic paper through my Canon printer. for cameras and printers, Canon is so reliable.

This camera has a smaller viewing screen than I favor plus the wire cord linking it to my computer had to be added at the time I placed the order. The cord is different than cords provided for use with my other cameras.

Sale quick and easy. Delivery also very good.Like the camera. Easy to hold and point and shot.Can't wait to use on our 10 night cruise to the Caribbean.

When you get older, those so and so view screens, no matter how large, are a pain. They wash out in sunlight and we seniors must put on our reading glasses to even view them. Finally someone came out with a lower end camera with an optical finder! The camera is for my wife who wanted a simple to operate camera with reasonable picture quality. This was it and for only $79, a steal in my experience. We highly recommend this for anyone wanting a compact, versatile, and dependable camera for those "snapshots".

Good camera, takes good pics for a good price! I had the 1300 but it got stolen which I wrote a more detailed review. I choose this camera because of all the good reviews I read about it.

Works great. Like others have mentioned you occasionally have to wait for the flash. If THIS is the case buy another camera. Otherwise, takes great shots. Easy to use. Well worth the money.

I like this particular model of canon camera (ELPH 300 HS). It's simple to set up. It takes quality pictures and movies. It's small enough to keep in a pocket. It has a pretty long battery life. The screen is large enough and easy to read. the menu is easy to understand. The controls are placed well....even for my big hands. The battery/SD compartment is easy to get at. I especially like the sandpaper like finish...makes it easier to hold. I tried the models after this one and i had to return back to this model. The only complaint I have is the on/off button is a little small for my finger....other than that I think it is a fine camera!!

I have not had a digital camera for a number of years. I am very pleased that I chose the PowerShot 1400. The price is definitely right and it works great. The manual takes a long time to download (215 pages), but it is worth having.

This camera is very easy to use. The sight through the eye piece is much easier to use in sunlight than the screen on the back. The instructions are extensive and easy to read and apply.

The A1400 is very compact and fits in my pocket with ease. It has 16 MP which is great and a zoom and image stabilization so it can be used in a great variety of situations. I did not give it 5 stars only because I have not had occasion to use all of its capabilities yet.So far it is 5 stars. I also like having the use of a viewfinder. The price being under 100 dollars was also terrific.

Camera takes great pictures. Some controls are in the area of your thumb when holding to click picture, accidentally press,have to stop and clear screen. Pictures are sharp, clear, easy to review or delete, would recommend.

I chose this camera for two main reasons -- it has a viewfinder and uses AA batteries. I bought it to replace another Canon camera that was stolen.I'm very happy with my new camera. It's very easy to use. I downloaded the manual from the Canon website, and learned all about it. I'm especially pleased with the movie function. I shot a couple of great scenes with my parrot. It was very easy to use. I'm very happy with this camera.

It's hard to find a camera with both an LCD screen and a viewfinder these days. This camera has both, it is simple to use, very user friendly and takes really great pictures. I am 100% satisfied and would definately recommend it.

This camera met or exceeded all my expectations. It is compact, light, and easy to use. The fact that it uses aa batteries was an important factor for me, because they are readily available & easily replaced. The screen is large & bright. Price was below $100.

Not high end, but perfect for snaps on the go with no need for the extra gadgetry haul. It fits nicely in a pocket or purse and the picture quality is actually quite acceptable for someone who likes memories, but is not into needing crystal clear quality that a $700.00 + would provide (been there, done that - not necessary for family memories.)

I bought it specifically for Optical eye level viewfinder because most rangefinder cameras now don't have it. The Canon name meant I'd have great photos too. The AA batteries are my preference because spares are always available. It's a great little camera to be carried everywhere.
