I have not had a lot of exp w/digital cameras but the one thing I have found is that it don't seem as user friendly as some others I had borrowed. There is not much of a Manuel with it but Cannon will send you a hard one on request if you call. That bad thing about any manual on line is ya never seem to have access when ya want to look something up. I don't think the manual is all that well written either as when you trying to get the camera to do something and push the buttons like the manual sais there is always something else they don't tell ya or assume you should know to do. I can get pretty frustrating.The camera does seem to take good pics though. I got it mainly to take pics of things close up for details to have for records like tools, guns, and other things of value for insurance purposes as well as just gen. use. If I would have had time and access, I would like to have been able to get familiar w/ some other models/brands first, but I didn't and bought it on cust svc. recomenation.

I was on a tight budget- my camera before this one just stopped working one day after the warranty ended.Does simple shots with ease. Lack of too many controls forces you to be more creative.

Nice Light camera ,fits in pockets easy and has a view finder ,which is good on bright days. It take nice clear pictures

Very easy camera to use. I was able to use the camera with in minutes. Battery life and flash are perfect for the novice user. Great camera!!

Great basic camera at an excellent price.Small but with large screen,Very sharp picture quality.Regular AA batteries and a viewfinder a definiteplus for me.

I have enjoyed using the Canon Power Shot A1400. It was a very reasonable in price but takes excellent pictures. They are very easy to transfer to the computer for storage. It's very easy to get to use.

I ordered the camera from Amazon on July 5 and received it today. Excellent shipping time.I did not pre-order the USB cable, Canon PowerShot SD1400 IS USB Cable - USB Computer Cord for PowerShot SD1400 IS because I just couldn't believe that a camera would ship without it. I understand not sending a memory card, but, a USB Cable? Well, there wasn't one, so, will be ordering that shortly.Costco has a great sale on the SanDisk Extreme Class 10 memory card. I got the 16gb since I don't take that many pictures or videos. So, I'm looking forward to seeing how the speed works. The read/write speed is reported to be 45mb.Anyway, I will write more when I've started using the camera. I just wanted people to know that the USB really isn't shipped with the camera.I only put 3 stars due to no USB cable. I'll update that when I start using the camera.

I specifically picked this camera because I wanted the viewfinder. The camera does an excellent job, but you have to download the 300 page instruction booklet. The one page guide included in the box is so basic as to be insulting. At least you can print only the pages you'll need. And I really resent that I had to go buy a cable to connect the camera to my computer. Cable from previous Canon did not fit. Yes, it's true that the cable was not listed as part of the contents, and I'm guilty of not reading thoroughly. But I'm still annoyed at Canon's cheapness.

This camera is super slow! Looks good and it works if your taking pictures of things that are not moving.

got it as a replacement for my Kodak EasyShare Z1485 IS Digital Camera i been using for years like fact its bare bones point an shout to go along with my Canon EOS T3i good for fast shot nice bit of sating for fast use were you cant get the big DSLR out also can take the 32GB SD cards as will adds to the canon hardware i have

The color is pretty blah. I have to replace batteries and I've only used the camera a few times since receiving it less than a week ago. It doesn't come with much in the way of operator instructions included with the camera.

I would recommend to anyone that wants quality pictures without a lot of camera set up and adjusting.I just view image on LCD and shoot and walla a great looking picture. If you don't have one, buy one,you'll love it!

I was very disappointed with this camera. I know it is cheap but expected it shoot good photos out door with good lighting after reading other reviews, but the one I have does not shoot good photos at all.
