This cord works when it wants to. Although, it must actually be the port on my Kindle Fire, as my other cords do the same thing. Quite frustrating.

I am very pleased with this USB cable. I plug my Kindle in and charge it with no problems. Also it can be used to tranfer data from my computer to my Kindle.

The ad stated that this could be used on the regular kindle...it cannot ..so I wasted a bit of money...

I was having problems with the charging cord for my first generation KF, and I presumed it was that the cord was loose in its port. With this cable and the PowerFast plug, I now have no problems whatsoever.

If you have more than one Kindle in the householed, this cord and Kindle PowerFast plug make it much easier to keep the families Kindle's charged up. Works great. Just wish it would come standard with the Kindle itself.

What more can you ask of a product than it does exactly what it is designed to do and without problems. Let me add at this point that Amazon's Kindle support is beyond expectations. They trouble shot my problem in moments, gave me a credit for replacing the cord which I received in 2 days. That dear friends is had service to beat.

It's a power/patch chord. What could be confusing about that? Well, I thought I was getting a power chord, but the power head is not part of this sale. So, I put it in my suitcase thinking I had a spare for my out of town trip. Surprise! I only had a patch chord! So, there was nothing wrong with the product--I just didn't read the description closely enough. Make sure you are getting the whole enchilada! Fortunately, I was able to patch it into my computer so I could recharge my Kindle while out of town, but it was not what I thought I was buying.

The Micro USB cable works just fine. I have no issues with it at this time but it may be too soon to tell. My reluctance to write out a happy note is this:I got the Kindle Fire as a gift but I know how much it costs because it's advertised everywhere. So I wonder why the Fire would be sent with an inferior recharging cable. That's basically what i was told when I formally complained about an item I had for less than 90 days that suddenly stopped charging. I will not make this a complaint as it is a review but I will be aware in the future and check comments on the things I buy and I recommend the same for everyone.

I bought this USB Kindle cable to replace the one that originally came with my Kindle Keyboard which I gave to my sister because she lost hers. It works great and I'm very happy with it. I like the fact that it is black...it looks much nicer than the original white cable.

My family and I love this product because its the only USB cable that doesn't cause us problems. So much that my other cables, like this one, were disappearing only to show up later in a child's room.
