I actually did not use this for a kindle but for a regular samsung smartphone, it worked without any problems. Yes the quality of the cable is not amazing but for the price it cannot be beat

I love my Kindle HD ,I agree with the other customers that the cable should have been included in the box with the device , would be nice if Amazon would ship the cable to their Kindle clients per request.

I purchased this product to upload books from my old Kindle (a D00111 Model) to my computer. Unfortunately, this USB does not fit the old models. It may work beautifully on the newer models, but for mine it's a bust! There is another (and much more expensive) cable available for the older models from one of Amazon's retailers -- not Amazon itself. A bother -- and of course, you also need to return this cable if you make this mistake.

I was very happy to order this item and have it in my possession within a week. It is a nice cable that plugs into the separate plug for charging the Kindle Fire. It has not disappointed me!

My old cord had fell apart where all the coating had come off. It must have dried out over time. I called Amazon and they sent this replacement right away. I am very pleased.

Lost my original Kindle Fire charger and ordered this as a replacement. This is a high quality cable, very sturdy and fits well into the micro-usb port on Kindle Fire. Since i didnt buy the adapter I used the usb adapter from Iphone and it works perfectly with this cable to fully charge my Kindle in less than 2 hours. I would recommend for the price, with cables you get what you pay for and this is a good bargain.

IT WORKS GREAT, BUT COULD BE LONGER. I HAVE TO PUT IT ON AN EXTENSION CORD TO CHARGE WHILE I AM USING THE KINDLE.
